Their meat selection is very fairly priced and good quality cuts of meat. Their bakery section creates delicious custom cakes at a reasonable price. I ordered my daughter's birthday cake here with custom frosting and graphic. The filling was fresh strawberries. The cake itself wasn't overly sweet. I'm very happy with my experience here. The biggest ripp off ever! We bought the identical imported French Cheese "Le Delice Bourgogne" from Bristol Farms, Newport and my husband from Pavillion Laguna Niguel. He wanted to make me happy because not everyone carries that cheese obviously. We discovered this price differences. Bristol Farm $ 21.99 lbs Pavillion $ 32.99 lbs a $ 11.-- difference per pound. This price overcharge is simply criminal and should be forbidden. We as consumers should have the power to punish the Merchant by collectively refusing to buy from them. Absolutely worst customer service in all of San Clemente! Walked in looking for Crème de menthe for a book club drink. Asked an "associate" who promptly replied, "I'm not on the clock." So while standing in the store, called and asked for assistance, she rudely responded "I'll try to get someone paged" and promptly hung up! Seriously?! Let me start with a fact about my location in San Clemente. I live walking distance to the Ralph's on El Camino Real. I drive to this Pavillions so that I don't have to shop at the Ralphs near my home. Pavillions Pros: + Great produce section that is always fresh and unlike the Ralph's near me, I don't experience fruit flies buzzing around. + The deli people are all great. You put your sliced meat and cheese order in and then you go off for some shopping and come back to perfectly cut meats and cheeses. + New layout is nice and not crowded. + Most check out people are really nice. + Always seems to be something cool to try in their clearance section that is now 1/2 off, so worth taking the risk on something new. Pavillions Cons: + Prices - highest around + While I take the time to go through what is available, I really dislike having to deal with coupons, digital coupons, etc.... Just sell the stuff at the lower price if we are a member of whatever app or club y'all force us to join. The Cons don't keep me away, since I do not go to the R store near me. read more

Pavilions was once a great brand with wide selection of house made sides and entree's. It seems they've chosen to open cans and containers as opposed to preparing in-house. Also, overall selection and quality has diminished significantly. This trend began when they were acquired by Albertsons. Sad really. read more

My son was mistreated and the employees were unprofessional. I went to the location and ask to speak to the manager and got the oncoming manager who acted like she (Alicia) wasn't aware. I was lied to and she quickly attempted to walk back her words. Another female employee seemed like she had something to say, but indirectly attempting to avoid the conversation between me and the manager. I gave the manager my information and asked that I be contacted regarding the service provided to my son or the lack of. I don't think being lied to is appropriate and I will follow up with the corporate management.All of this was my son wanted to buy a item, was told no, the employee reason was that he had already bought the item and had been to the store "10" times, all untrue. Check your cameras, I have access to my son's bank account and no transactions today or this month. He was there once and was subjected to harassment. read more

Stopped shopping there due to bad in stock and high prices, but to today went in to get two items from the sushi area. I had 500 bonus points to use and when I put them in at the self checkout they didn't work and the assistance light came on. A manager came and I explained what happened. Her started with an E. Well E just didn't want to help and didn't care at all. She said it was in there. Showed her my phone and 500 points were deducted, but I didn't get the $10 Off. "E" just had an oh well attitude. Pavilions prides itself on high quality goods. They definitely didn't make the mark today. I was given salmon that was not only slimy but had the skin coming off the back and discoloration of the flesh. This is a classic sign of spoilage. They need to practice FIFO to avoid this. I will not be coming back for fresh fish. read more

The worst customer service. I went in to get something at the deli and this young man was so irritated that he had to help me. He was awful. Talking under his breathe like a coward just irritated that he had to do his job. I would have asked someone else for help but he was the only person back there. I can tell that they don't care if they lose a customer which is too bad. Terrible experience!! read more

This store was great when it first went in but now it is horrible. I used to get the great ready made meals here for my mom along with her regular groceries. Half the things she likes are no longer available and the ready made meals have also disappeared. Not sure what happened but we are done with Pavillions San Clemente. read more

Pavillions, you have lost me. I love the new look of the store and how you have made it so inviting but.......I can no longer afford to shop at this store. We are a family of two seniors on a fixed budget. There is no way that I can afford or need to buy 4 bags of chips (or 4 or anything as a matter of fact) in order to get a reasonable price.. I can buy one item next door at Walmart or up the street at Target for a lower price. Your pricing just does not work for us and sadly I realize that we are not the customer that you want. This is the second review of given to this pavilions since it took over the Albertsons spot. The people who work there are so special. Again, I was helped by someone. This time her name was Ginger and she has blonde curly hair and glasses. What's funny is she's been described in other reviews and I understand why. Ginger helps you as she takes you to the aisle and quickly finds what you've been looking for. I asked her to help me twice the other day when I was searching for artichokes, and. Apple pie filling. I told her she was in trouble because I knew her name so I was gonna always ask her for help. I hope I don't need to, but she deserves some credit for being incredibly personable and helpful. read more
