So it was Big Spoon day, and I could see a lot my fellow Yelpers went too. This particular location had my favorite - Rocket Pop Sorbet. I also saw a new Orange Sorbet that they added, and it was great. I like their variety of toppings so I added some to my cup including some gummy bears. The person at the counter was really friendly. Umpteen choices of yogurt flavors and toppings. I have found out that the Yogurtland in San Clemente is under new ownership and I can see the care this family run business puts into their brand. I'm from out of town and came here with my wife a couple days ago and I can just say it was exceptional! All thanks to one of the employees, I believe their name was Rain. When I couldn't decide on which flavors to choose, they patiently allowed me to take a few samples and offered their own insights. Which totally helped a bunch. But not only was that notable, they had such a friendly demeanor, along with an unforgettable smile, and treated us with outstanding customer service for our time being. Great variety of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings to boot. It is a good way to end the day. There is seating in and out. Easy to find. It is just off Interstate 5 in San Clemente just past the Starbucks. I especially enjoyed the chocolate syrup topping that hardened after it is on the ice cream for a minute or so. The inside dining area is clean. They probably could use a few more tables. They also have cold water to drink and to wash your sticky hands. This is a chain. I would recommend any location. The price is reasonable...We paid $10 for the three of us. They go by weight, so if you don't go crazy on toppings, it will end up less expensive than most yogurt shops. read more

I'm a HUGE froyo fan and I have always found a nearby frozen yogurt place to love. I've moved quite a few times in the past decade and I've experienced the best and the worst frozen yogurt. I could either hate a yogurt place for being a consistent disappointment or love them so much that no matter what they do, I know they will win back my love some other time. Disclaimer: the best yogurt place that I loved so much is all the way down in Encinitas but since I live here now, I need to move on. With that said, I'm happy enough with Yogurtland. I'm rarely disappointed and it's always a nice treat when we go. Check my other reviews for frozen yogurt and you'll see that I have been consistently disappointed by some other place in San Clemente. I am so glad to have moved away from that heartache. I go out weekly for frozen yogurt and I expect to come home with a cup of frozen yogurt and not some lame excuse that they're having technical difficulties *again* for the 35th time this year. How many times can a place break your heart before you say "I'm so done with this"? Anyway, I'm so glad that's over... I'm with Yogurtland now and I get everything I need here. They have good, tasty yogurt with a variety of flavors to choose from. Some of the flavors change every 2 weeks or something like that. Yogurtland's toppings include fruits, gummy bears, gummy worms, white chocolate chips, mochi, cheesecake, brownie, Oreo cookie bits, chocolate/vanilla/caramel/mint syrup, and stuff like that. The last time I went there, they even had pop rocks. They usually have something new as a topping every month or so. It's a a bit above average frozen yogurt place and it has everything anyone could ever ask for: a variety of flavored yogurt, choices of toppings, and good customer service. The place is usually clean unless there was just a crowd of teenagers ahead of you in line. The local high school teens seem to love this place and hang out here all weekend. I love that this place is open late! It's perfect for after dinner or after a movie. I'm looking forward to my long, satisfying relationship with Yogurtland, unless something better comes along. But don't you worry, Yogurtland! I'm not breaking up with you anywhere in the near future. read more

Great location to get your fro-yo fix ! I've been to this location at least a couple dozen times after the past couple of years and it never disappoints. The staff is always warm and inviting and eager to help. The taster cups are out on a tray right out front so you don't even have to ask for them, which is super convenient. The flavor varieties are always rotating and the toppings are fresh. I have attempted to come in here three different times in the last month and each time, they are completely out of fruit. Who ever happens to be working always gives a different excuse; "our shipment hasn't come yet", "we are all out for the day" "the night shift didn't cut any of the fruit last night so there isn't any today" it's not the right season".... Uh. Yes it is. It's summer. All the summer fruits are in season. At any other yogurt land, I order just a little yogurt and fill it with all kinds of fruit. It's quite literally impossible at this location. I work near by and would love to make this a regular spot for a snack break but can someone put out a sign that says "now serving fruit". My kids and I go to this Yogurtland all the time. We went into the store today around 7:00 PM, to order some yogurt, and instead of a smile and greetings. The young girl with heavy make up with a nose ring; who was working behind the counter was very abrupt and rude from the start. The first thing she said was you only get one free taste. Now mind you, my two kids were with me. I have to ask for three small cups for trials. Once my kids gotten the yogurt and ready to pay she start yelling at my kids because he has his hand on the scale. I don't know if she was racial profiling or her parents never taught her manners, but I can definitely tell you that she needs to have a personality adjustment and take some remedial courses in customer service. This was the worst experience I have at this Yogurt land. I hope the owner acknowledge this issue and fix it before they lose a lot of revenue this summer due to her racist, rude, and high and mighty attitude. read more

We stop for yogurt at this location a lot. Ordinarily this is a great shop. It's a friendly local yogurt store. I would normally say this is 4 or 5 stars business. Not so tonight. We came in 12 minutes before closing. Four dispensers didn't work. I asked a guy who appeared to be a manager, his name is Fox, what's going on with this. He said some were out and some were frozen because a previous customer held the handle down for 5 minutes. He said "what am I supposed to do about it". I said "fix it!". That put him into a rage. In a nanosecond he went nuts. He said he can't keep up with all the dispensers that run out or break. He tried to throw us out. He threatened to call security. This wasn't a quiet conversation. He was screaming at us. I gave it right back to him and told him to go for it. Call security! We left and Fox locked up immediately. A few seconds later another couple pulled up and when they noticed the door was locked and the lights off they were surprised and disappointed. We chatted about how they sometimes close early and I told them what happened to us. Who ever owns this Yogurtland should fix this quickly because the next guy this jerk goes off on might get into a real fight. Why would a business owner want a police incident or a lawsuit because of an out of control employee? read more

Here's the thing... this place used to be great which is why I'm giving them 4 stars. The staff is still friendly and the place is clean BUT the last 6mo or so they are literally ALWAYS out of every popular flavor! They almost never have vanilla left! We don't go super late...usually after dinner. Also- they rarely have whipped cream and the hot fudge is hit or miss too. The on shift supervisor Fox was extremely was rude and demeaning towards the obviously new trainee. I would be surprised if you have a high employee turnover rate. I love yogurt! I remember my first experience at a Yogurtland (not this one) and it was cool to fill up my own yogurt. Well, at first I wasn't so sure, but now I like it! You can mix all the flavors you want and in any order you want. Then you add in whatever toppings you like. Sometimes I like to do some yogurt, then some topping, then some yogurt, then some topping haha. However, I can get carried away and before I know it I have a ridiculous amount of yogurt and I can't eat it all! I swear that is why they only give you two cup sizes, both that are big because people just get carried away and don't realize how much yogurt they have haha. This location has had good customer service and parking is pretty good - can get crowded sometimes. read more

So I came to Yogurtland in San Clemente yesterday with my daughter and family and was in complete shock at the way my family and I were treated. My 2 year old nephew was running around happily and I admit he was being loud, but the way we were approached by the employee or manager yo the name of Fox at this location was completely wrong. You can't see it in this video because we didn't record from the beginning, but he came from the back room and stood at the register and screamed at us to please quiet down the kid because he was too loud and went back into the back room. We got scared and grabbed our kid and calmed him down. We were in complete shock as to how he approached us. As a manager myself and working in the customer service industry that is not the way to approach customers. So we grabbed our kids and left, as we left I asked another employee for the guys name, he gave it to me and I left. As I was walking out the employee who had yielded at us came out again and asked what was it that I needed , and I simply said I didn't need anything from him. Once I was outside he yielded something at me so I went back in and confronted him. He started yielding at me to leave and get out and told me there was no reason for me to get his name because he did nothing wrong. He threatened me by calling security and all this happened inform of our kids. The kids were scared and I am 2 weeks away from giving birth. If you ask if a flavor is broken or out they say "no, let me turn it on for you." They make you feel like your overstaying your welcome even thought they are technically open for another hour. Yogurtland's yogurt (often) contains artificial flavors and colors. They don't let you know this easily. Even after we explained about a severe allergy, we were not adequately helped by the employees in the store or the corporate phone number. Why are their employees naively trained to tell you their products are 'natural', which they aren't? Because yogurt is from a cow, but that has nothing to do with the many artificial colors in their products. They don't give out an ingredient list on site and if you have the in-store employees check the bottles, in back, it still doesn't even list the ingredients! Rather it directs to the website. SHADY COMPANY. Only go here if you have a taste for RED 40, YELLOW 5, BLUE 1, YELLOW 6, etc. read more
