I walked in with another customer and the store/counter was empty. Carrie came out and didn't greet either one of us. The other customer had a pre-order and it wasn't ready. She didn't apologize for that and took SO long to complete it. She literally moved like a turtle and the customer was not happy. He pre-ordered it and needed it then. While we were waiting, 2 other customers came in. By the time she got to me (8 minutes later), she didn't apologize for the wait or make any of us feel welcome. I purchased 5 bundlet cakes - 3 of which were going to be put in a "triple tower" - and picked out the accessories for it. She rang me up and then proceeded to tell me she'd complete my order after she helped the 2 customers! WTH!!! Finish my order! She proceeded to talk to the other 2 customers - both of whom had online orders. She had to make 1 of them because it also wasn't ready. Again, NO apologies for anything! Especially to me for ignoring me and my purchase!! I just stood there in disbelief. A red velvet Bundt cake was purchased for my birthday and paid for and picked up by my elderly parents. Once they were at the store (local to their house- they had ordered here before and had a good experience) and they gave the information to the employee, the employee apologized and said they did not have an order for them. At that point, my mom pulled up proof of purchase and showed it to the employee. The employee just kept insisting that they didn't have an order. After seeing the proof of purchase, I really don't know why this was such a difficult concept for the employee who was working. After a long time waiting and a lot of back-and-forth, they finally gave the cake (apparently a backup one they had in the freezer) to my parents and told them, "well- I guess we're just giving you a FREE cake. " my mom was furious as she absolutely paid for the cake -- and she showed this worker the checking account where the money had already been withdrawn. Clearly there was a lack of follow-through on part of the employee who took the order over the phone. If management would like to connect with me through yelp, I would be happy to discuss further. It sounds like the employees of the store need better training but this is no way to treat a paying customer-- to act as if they are trying to pull a fast one which, in this case couldn't be further from the truth. read more

They even offer a minimal gluten-free selection. As these are moist cakes with frosting, you are always going to deal with a sweetness issue. I tend to eat the cake or mini cake with just a tiny little touch of the frosting. The frosting especially kicks it over the top. However, it is still worth the effort. There are seasonal flavors as well as standard flavors so you can keep it interesting for more than one event per year. This company has been around for a very long time. First of all, I love nothing Bundt cakes in general! I went cake tasting for my wedding to many bakeries in Orange County. To my surprise I found nothing Bundt cake was superior to anything I tasted that day. I went to the Laguna Hills store to see if I could place an order. They were very helpful and let me know the San Clemente store was closer to my venture so Laguna Hills called the other store and put my order in. I received an email confirmation from San Clemente. The bundtinis were perfect absolutely delicious people loved them, and there were gluten free options. We had white chocolate raspberry, snickerdoodle, and the gluten free option. They even provided free delivery to our venue since it was for a wedding. I am so pleased and the price and quality were better than anything I could have wished for.
