A nicer Ralphs that checks most boxes. They have a bakery, deli, etc. They sell a lot of pre made food, Home Chef kits, fresh baked bread, etc. Came here for a Roasted chicken for $8.99. It is because I did not want to go to Costco and play parking wars just to pay $4.99. I was planning on making a homemade chicken salad with pita. That is exactly what I purchased. I do shop here often with my guy. Some prices on items are a little higher than other places. Im talking bread, bakery items, dairy, etc. Some items require that you clip a coupon on the app then scan your card to pay and get the deals. I dont like that one bit. However some of the deals are outstanding. On todays visit they had a sushi counter with sushi chefs doing their thing. Ralphs is ralphs. The employees are nice. I stopped by this Ralph's on a Saturday early morning to look at cupcakes and cakes for a party. Since I came in the morning, finding parking was easy. My company used to be in the area until we moved to Simi Valley so I was already familiar with this plaza. The store is setup pretty good, the bakery and cakes area are on the right side of the store. The flowers are on the left side. I didn't see anything that I like here so I just got some bottle sodas. read more

Ralphs is a great place to shop at with any brand you can think of. Kroger is their store brand and I love getting those products because it is affordable to buy especially with inflation, but what can you do. Ralphs has also self checkout with coinstar, scratcher machine, key making machine as well inside. Their bakery is fresh daily as well as their deli as well. shop at Ralphs located in Burbank on San Fernando blvd and Alameda Ave. the staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is really organized!! read more

This ralphs is bigger than the others around, I mean they offer a ton more items when it comes to sister Stores such as; the one in Glendale or DTB (Downtown Burbank) Although there is ample parking, they share the lot with CVS - only one way out on Alameda which jams up. Back to the store, again a variety of items, Mediterranean and Asian aisles are beefed up. They are missing 2 stars because when I arrived, the lady at the hot food, deli counter wasn't too happy that I asked about cooked whole rotisserie chicken, its was about 1030am she said give it 10 mins and the timer only had 4 mins and I said no problem, I'll wait. The food selection is great. The service is excellent. The ambiance is pleasant and inviting. This Ralph's I have been going on since 2007 when my daughter was three years old. We were picking up 2 gallon milk Vitamin D. Time goes by in a blink of an eye and some places come and go and this Ralph's is still here. The customer service is great and good to see the people I know work there is like a family and that make a difference I highly recommend this place. I went to the Ralph's on Alameda in Burbank to buy flowers and have them wrapped. I first asked a gentleman with glasses in the floral area for help -- he told me he'd call someone over. I waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up. I then asked a younger gentleman working at self-checkout for assistance. He also said he'd get somebody. I went back to the floral area and waited again. Still no one. Finally, after all that wasted time, a younger curly-haired teenager came up and told me, "The drawers are closed, and we can't open them." This whole situation was full of incompetence -- no communication, no urgency, and no follow-through. I walked away without what I came for and will not be giving this Ralph's my business again. read more

The cashier, Rocio if I'm not mistaken, was so unbelievably rude to my mother. Her behavior towards the customer in front of us was okay, besides when she got defensive and snarky when the customer asked if she had rung his item up twice, but her attitude did a while 180 when it came to us. She kept rolling her eyes, avoiding eye contact, and handed the receipt to my mother as if she was scared of contracting a disease. Went to the deli today and no staff was around. A worker from a different department came over to say 1. That he knew nothing about deli procedures and 2. Sorry that the single deli staff was at lunch, and the other staff person called in sick. Kudos the the employee that didn't just ignore the crowd gathering in the deli, but boo hiss to the manager. Several things could have been done 1. The manager could have worked the deli (assuming the manager could do everything in the store, maybe slower, but could get the job done. 2. Manager had enough time to get someone brief on basics of the deli, maybe not operating the machinery, but could at least greet customers and fish out tubs of tuna salad 3. Put up signs saying what time the sole employee would be back, at least the customers wouldn't be standing around for 10 minutes waiting for the only employee who realized the the entire store's staff has a job due to the customers. Sad that the manager doesn't understand that concept. Ralph's is not doing us a favor, there's plenty of markets available read more

Was happy to see Jumbo Avocados on sale for $1.79 but when I checked out it was full price. Turns out I couldn't even see the small print that said "digital coupon." I don't do apps and didn't want to hold back the line trying to do in on the website on my phone. Put them back. Should have put back the potatoes since where I am going next has them for 99 cents a pound (I paid $1.29) Just an all around terrible place with shady business practices and regular overcharging as well as the sketch as f practice of having to buy 5 to get the deal and only having 3 in stock. Thankfully in my neighborhood there are other choices if not jumbo avocados for $1.79 How about just charging one price like most other business? There was no mention of another price and I had to squint to see I needed to undertake additional steps to get the listed price. My boyfriend and I have been coming to this Ralphs for years and every time we have been in we have had great service. It's right off of the 5 freeway and in a huge parking lot. They do charge for bags so BYOB or expect to buy some. Usually I come in to purchase balloons for celebrations or household items, since TJ's down the street is my go to for food. I have had a number of their cashiers in the past and they have all been very pleasant. I do wish that they would have taken returns on two bottles of champagne that I had purchased from them. I found them at Trader Joe's down the street a few days later and had hoped to save $10 if we took them back, unopened of course. But they don't take returns on alcohol so it was my mistake for not shopping around first if I wanted a deal. The petite tan-skinned lady with long blonde hair who tends to the balloon and flower section has always been very helpful. I really like how nice she is and how she goes out of her way to make the customer happy. Early last year I was looking for extra boxes to help with a move and I called them and asked if they had any they would be able to save for me. The person I spoke with said they would save some and to come early in the morning to get them. I arrived when they opened, but the morning crew didn't know about the request. However, some large Hispanic gentleman who was stocking the shelves in an aisle offered to give me the boxes he had just flattened. He said they were going to get rid of them anyway. I was so grateful and immediately began dragging the huge box full of flattened boxes out. It was SO heavy, but I was fine dragging it since it was too heavy for anyone to carry. Yet, then this same gentleman who had just offered me the boxes said he would carry it to my car. I told him not to pick it up because it was too heavy to carry. Then, to my amazement, he picked it up with his Hercules-like strength and carried it all the way. Such great service keeps me coming back time and again! read more

Until now I spend around $1000 a month here but I will stop shopping here thanks to the horrible manager named Lily. I bought ground bison from here using my Ralph's card and I noticed it was DAYS OLD when I got home. I lost my receipt and the workers and horrible manager named Lily refused to exchange the old meat without the receipt and REFUSED TO LOOK AT MY PAST TRANSACTIONS through my Ralph's club card in order to verify that the meat was already old the day I purchased it. VERY CARELESS AND UNHELPFUL PEOPLE! The manager even tried to get us kicked out of the store just for demanding an exchange on their old meat that I used my Ralph's card to purchase. My fiancé told the manager Lily that she deserves to be fired and the manager Lily HAD THE NERVE TO LAUGH ABOUT BEING FIRED AND SAID OUT LOUD THAT GETTING FIRED WOULD BE LIKE GOING ON VACATION. This review is for the bakery, not the whole store. The store in general is very good, with good customer service. The bakery is a different story. God help you if you want a custom cake...or even just acknowledgement of your presence. I chose a grocery store bakery for a custom cake because I figured it would be simple. But... - While I was doing some shopping, I asked the bakery how far in advance I needed to order a custom cake. I was told "24 hours." Great, wonderful, my event was a week away. Plenty of time. - A few days later, I decided to put my order in early. I called three days before the event to ask if the bakery was still open, since it was about 5:30pm at that time. A man who works in the main store told me yes, they were open, but there was a "new girl who can't handle custom cakes" working today. He said the bakery hours are 6am-7pm, so they were technically still open, but if I came by today, I wouldn't be able to order a cake. Weird, but fine, I thought. - So, I went into the store the next day at 3:00. I stood at the bakery that was clearly open, but no workers were to be seen anywhere. Above my head was a big monitor advertising custom cakes. After about six minutes, a woman walked by behind me and entered the bakery area. She did not say a word to me, or even look at me. She began opening boxes. After a minute, I said, "Hi, can you help me?" She looked surprised and said, "Yes?" I told her I wanted to order a custom cake. She immediately told me that I'd have to order one from the bakery manager, who was only there until 2:00pm on weekdays. Um...okay. Bizarre. So customers can only order custom cakes until 2:00pm each day? Well...since I wouldn't be able to come in person the next day (I was working), I asked this lady, "Can I order a custom cake by phone with your manager?" She said no, it had to be in person. Double bizarre. I thanked her and left the bakery area. Because this seemed so strange to me, I went to ask a store manager if this information was right. The store manager wouldn't talk to me, but a regular employee went to ask her inside an office and came back and told me it was a "language thing", and he told me to call back tomorrow and ask for the bakery manager by name. He said, "It will take you a while to get through, but just call and ask for her." Weird, but fine, I thought. - Attempt #3 was just as nice. I called the next day and it rang for about ten minutes. Finally a man answered, and I asked for the bakery. He said, "Okay," and then yelled to someone in the background, "Hey, how do you do this?" (I assume he meant transfer the call.) I was on hold again until the line cut off. I called back, this time asking for the store manager in hopes she would connect me to the bakery. An employee answered and I said, "Is Marilyn working today?" he said, "Yes...I don't know where she is, though. Let me go look." I was on hold for about 10 minutes. Finally I just decided to use my lunch break to go to the bakery in person. I walked up to the area, where again there were no workers. I asked a deli guy for help. He said, "Yeah, whadda you need?" I said, "Is Janet working today?" He said yes, and went to get her from the back. Janet appeared and asked me what she could help me with. I said I would like to order a custom cake. She immediately appeared annoyed. "When by?" she asked. "It's for an event tomorrow afternoon," I said. She instantly said no, that was not enough time. No apology or anything, just a big NO. She said they needed at least 24 hours for a custom cake (which I knew -- that's why I attempted to order it three days ahead). I explained to her that I'd tried twice before, and she said, "All I have is marble and chocolate, I can't do what you want." I left. If you love terrible customer service, look no further than the Ralph's bakery on Alameda in Burbank. That whole department is a joke. I'm no Karen, but this department brought out all the Karen in me. I went to Pavilions down the street and got a stunning cake that same day. The end. read more

This is my go to since it's local to me, store is clean and prices are decent. Parking can be a pain but my biggest gripe with this location is the fact that there are always solicitors outside the doors. It's annoying to have to do that awkward no thank you to the people asking for signatures or donations to their sports team. It's CONSTANT, and honestly makes going into this store less appealing. Surprise! Another shopping while black story. Went to this Ralph's tonight, got a coupla items, tp and sauce, went to the self checkout because the lines were crazy. The guy who monitors, let's call him Christian.... Was nowhere to be seen when all the checkout stands were occupied by white people. As soon as I walked up to one, mind you I was also withdrawing money, he zoomed out of nowhere and stood towards the opening where I was standing. Profiled. I glanced over my shoulder to make sure I wasnt mistaken but trust as a woc you know when you're being monitored. What is it with Ralph's was there a notice telling all the employees to watch black folks? Anyways checked out went to stand at the front to wait for my mom to finish her shopping. Five minutes later a security guy comes over to hang out! Okay. Coincidence? Maybe still. So standing there I watched "Christian" and watched how he didn't stand and monitor white people but again as soon as two black folks walked up he managed to stand near their terminals. Shopping experience itself is standard, but I hate that every time you go to self checkout they treat everyone like they're stealing. This guy circles everyone like a hawk, gets up in their personal space, leers over their heads, loudly asks you multiple times if you need help, even if you're bagging things completely normal, and even if you're a regular and they recognize you. Like I'd completely get it if people thought he was racially profiling them, I'm white so I know it's just a policy thing clearly, but it's super not a good look and could really reflect badly on management. I'm sure this is a manager policy issue not an employee issue causing this. This is the worst Ralph's I've had that experience at, and it's Every single time, not an exaggeration. It makes me not want to shop here. I straightup wouldn't shop here anymore if this wasn't the most convenient location for me, that's the only reason to come here. read more

I love this locations because for one it has a US bank located instead which makes it very convenient for me to do my banking and shopping at the same time. Products are always fresh and easy to find. Customer services is great never had a problem. By far my favorite Ralph's. read more

A pretty nice Ralphs, it appears Ralphs has upgraded their supermarkets across the board and all are really on point! I am as happy to shop here as I am with Trader Joe's and Sprouts, as I used to ONLY use those two places. Came by for some alcohol and damn! Are all Ralphs Markets the same? I'd say no. And, not to brag, this Burbank Ralphs is a hit. Exceptionally friendly staff who go out of their way to greet you. The ladies in bakery will write on any cake while-you-wait, and the deli meat folks even remember what I like. They always have a super selection of fresh flowers, if you're on the way to someone's place for dinner and of course you can't go empty handed. Feeling like a bargain hunter? Their "broken/reduced" area (regrettably, it's right outside the bathrooms) sometimes contains gems for pennies. Their Ralphs-brand carb-free yogurt is the bomb by the way. A hit! read more
