Jose helped us in the deli today! Super nice guy. I'm happy to have this store as my go to grocer!

I stopped by this Ralph's on a Saturday early morning to look at cupcakes and cakes for a party. Since I came in the morning, finding parking was easy. My company used to be in the area until we moved to Simi Valley so I was already familiar with this plaza. The store is setup pretty good, the bakery and cakes area are on the right side of the store. The flowers are on the left side. I didn't see anything that I like here so I just got some bottle sodas.

This ralphs is bigger than the others around, I mean they offer a ton more items when it comes to sister Stores such as; the one in Glendale or DTB (Downtown Burbank) Although there is ample parking, they share the lot with CVS - only one way out on Alameda which jams up. Back to the store, again a variety of items, Mediterranean and Asian aisles are beefed up. They are missing 2 stars because when I arrived, the lady at the hot food, deli counter wasn't too happy that I asked about cooked whole rotisserie chicken, its was about 1030am she said give it 10 mins and the timer only had 4 mins and I said no problem, I'll wait. She must've felt pressured because after she pulled the chickens out, she was very rude when I wished her a nice day! Sorry, I inconvenienced you work today!

There nothing more disgusting then seeing this in the deli case. See picture posted. Customer service has gone down the drain. Can't you come up with a ticket system for deli/bakery. It's not right that a customer waits for help and they help others that came after you. At least step up your game with a clean store. There is no reason not to clean. Do better.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this Ralphs for years and every time we have been in we have had great service. It's right off of the 5 freeway and in a huge parking lot. They do charge for bags so BYOB or expect to buy some. Usually I come in to purchase balloons for celebrations or household items, since TJ's down the street is my go to for food. I have had a number of their cashiers in the past and they have all been very pleasant. I do wish that they would have taken returns on two bottles of champagne that I had purchased from them. I found them at Trader Joe's down the street a few days later and had hoped to save $10 if we took them back, unopened of course. But they don't take returns on alcohol so it was my mistake for not shopping around first if I wanted a deal. The petite tan-skinned lady with long blonde hair who tends to the balloon and flower section has always been very helpful. I really like how nice she is and how she goes out of her way to make the customer happy. Early last year I was looking for extra boxes to help with a move and I called them and asked if they had any they would be able to save for me. The person I spoke with said they would save some and to come early in the morning to get them. I arrived when they opened, but the morning crew didn't know about the request. However, some large Hispanic gentleman who was stocking the shelves in an aisle offered to give me the boxes he had just flattened. He said they were going to get rid of them anyway. I was so grateful and immediately began dragging the huge box full of flattened boxes out. It was SO heavy, but I was fine dragging it since it was too heavy for anyone to carry. Yet, then this same gentleman who had just offered me the boxes said he would carry it to my car. I told him not to pick it up because it was too heavy to carry. Then, to my amazement, he picked it up with his Hercules-like strength and carried it all the way. Such great service keeps me coming back time and again!

For whatever reasons, I've visited Ralphs' Burbank San Fernando Blvd. location on numerous occasions over the past couple of months. I was usually in the area for business and work, but something triggered me to reintroduce myself to this location I frequented when I worked at Sport Chalet in the Burbank Media Center Mall ages ago. Of all the grocery chains, I favored the Ralphs brand the most initially because my family shopped there all the time, but I also felt that their prices were generally lower than everyone else, they had better promotional sales, and their stores seemed more inviting. After these recent trips, would I continue to foster a bond with this Ralphs location or would I ralph at the idea!? PURCHASE(S) 07/07/26 TU ($54.76): On this most recent trip, I went crazy and bought six bags of chips because they were all on sale; my favorite Kettle Brand and an Asian brand named Calbee which I really enjoyed on a recent Japan vacation. Their 6pk romaine hearts were always a good deal at $1.00/heart. Their family-sized shredded cheese bag was always a staple for me, and then whatever randomness to fill the cabinets or day-olds for a quick meal. 05/30/26 SA ($25.88): Some bread for mom, more Kettle Brand potato chips, a couple of boxes of my favorite Yogi tea, and any random day-olds I found for quick meals to simply explore. 05/25/26 MO ($8.10): During this review, I've determined what brought me here after all of these years! After an evening of drinking and hanging out at a brewery in the city of San Fernando, I needed some inexpensive food (no fast food) on my way home, and my usual Glendale Ralphs location was out of the way, I hoped this location offered the same options. Thankfully, they did, and so an 8pc Ralphs Home Chef Baked Chicken for $4.95 and a 12oz Kroger Chicken Salad for $3.15 was exactly what I was looking for - boom! SERVICE I meticulously roamed the aisles as I tried to reacquaint myself with this updated version of a bygone time, and I found my intended purchases easily thanks to the proper hanging signage and shelf-talkers. Other than the friendly, efficient checkers at the registers, I explored freely as I dealt with no one else which was fine by me - thank you! PARKING (FREE) They had their own private lot (a former seafood buffet restaurant that has been closed for years still existed on the property) on a spacious corner, there was plenty of parking - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Noticeably smaller than their "standard" stores, this was your basic grocery store layout with multiple uniformed aisles, promotional end-caps, table displays, a floral/gifts area, and cashiers ready to take your money. I think it also housed a pharmacy and possibly the ubiquitous Starbucks. A decent amount of natural lighting came in through the large front glass doors and windows while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Burbank's San Fernando Blvd. Ralphs' location was very convenient in each of these cases, served my immediate needs, and I would certainly shop again. However, because of the smaller footprint, I felt there were less day-old/reduced options. Everything was similar to any other major grocery chain with many familiar brand name products. The prices were comparable if not slightly lower than their competitors (sign up for their FREE rewards program), parking was easy, and the service was straightforward (I couldn't recall if they had self-checkout). I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $89.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

He is friendly, engaging with customers, but overall you can tell he is a good manager, not only to guests but to his associates. Overall the store seems to always re-stock appropriately and if items are gone they will make it a point that it's sold out with a noted Ralph's sticker, sounds weird but I like that approach. It saves time for both the customer not having to ask an associate but also the associate doesn't have to be bothered (because the repetitive questions I bet would be irritating lol).

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.

The store layout is unique here compared to other markets that I shop at frequently. Still, they had fresh, beautiful fruits and veggies at very competitive prices. In example, I got a mint cucumber bag for under $2 a pack of 8. I came for the ahi tuna steak which are tasty when prepared correctly. They carry a little bit of everything, from food items to office supplies, hygienic items, toys, etc. Not a huge store but there is plenty to browse. The check out process was different; when it was my turn, the belt where all the items scroll on, ends at the moment where you are about to pay; making it awkward and a tad bit pushy to bag your own items quickly, as they may fall due to the limited space left there for your items. On the afternoon of June 12, 2026, my 14-year-old son and I checked out with Olivia. We had only about a dozen items, and there was no one waiting behind us. Since my son is not accustomed to Aldi's self-bagging process, he was trying his best to bag our groceries but was moving a bit slowly. Rather than adjusting her pace, Olivia continued scanning rapidly and placing items into the cart, including some in the child-seat area. At one point, our half-gallon of milk nearly fell out. I understand that Aldi's business model emphasizes speed and efficiency, and I generally appreciate that. However, customer service should still matter. Because there was no line behind us, I was surprised that there seemed to be little patience for a young teenager who was genuinely trying to help. When I commented that things felt rushed, my concern was either misunderstood or ignored. At the end of the transaction, Olivia held my cash while waiting for space to place a frozen pizza that was still on the scanner. While her explanation made sense operationally, the overall interaction felt cold and unnecessarily rushed. Perhaps she was having a difficult day, but the experience came across as impatient and passive-aggressive rather than helpful. I want to emphasize that nearly every other cashier I have encountered at this Aldi has been friendly, patient, and accommodating. This review reflects one disappointing interaction, not my overall opinion of the store. I will continue shopping here, but I hope management reminds employees that efficiency and courtesy do not have to be mutually exclusive.
