For me, ALDI is a tale of two grocery stores. As a regular, I love the pricing on so many of the staples, particularly the dairy, eggs, oats, fruits, etc. and they have some great in house brands they make. A lot of the premade food is also great, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the selection of their items. The flavor of most of their items is as good as anywhere else, and there are serious savings to be found there. That said, the other side of the coin is that the store is not always efficient. It takes them a long time to update their pricing once they're out of an item, and when they're running great deals, I'll regularly get excited to see there's a huge sale, look for the item the sale is referring to, and find that the item's been out of stock already for days. This has happened to me at least 10 times. There was also a period of several months in the past year where the entire dairy aisle was off limits due to an issue with the building, which made it impossible to buy any dairy from them for months at a time. Not to pile on, but it would be much appreciated if they kept one more person on register at any given time. The lines can get really long. All that said, I really do like ALDI, and I hope they can correct a bit and take some of the constructive criticism from a person who's a big fan of what they do. I'll be back soon! read more

I am a regular at Aldi's. I usually go once or twice a week to another location. Honestly, I am not sure what's the deal with this Aldi store. Every time I go to this store, it is very disorganized, empty shelves, and empty boxes sitting on the shelves. I am not sure maybe they are understaffed that's why it's like this. Aldi stores usually have great deals for grocery items. They are cheap compared to other grocery stores. Their weekly deals are another plus. The only downside of this store is the ambiance. This Aldi location is located in the same plaza as Home Goods and Hobby Lobby, sometimes finding a parking can be hard. If you don't mind walking, finding parking can be easy. read more

I am not a regular at Aldi's, but I came to this location on a Wednesday afternoon in Burbank and decided to do some quick grocery shopping. The one thing that immediately stood out was how messy and disorganized everything was. I know Aldi's doesn't rely on shelves and it's mostly a boxes-stacked-on-boxes layout but I've seen other Aldi's where the unused and/or empty boxes are cleared away in order for everything to look more tidy and organized. The veggies and fruits are always great, and this location was no different. Meats and Dairy also highly recommended to get them from here. Another highlight was how good the Too Good Gourmet cookies were. Truly a 10/10 purchase (I attached a couple of pics to this review so you can see the box and spot them in the store). They have the right amount of chewiness. The rest was a pretty standard Aldi's experience, not much else to say. read more

Aldi has never been my go to grocery store, but due to limited time I decided to stop at this location to give it a try and complete my shopping list. Any market that requires a 25 cent deposit to use a shopping cart immediately feels inconvenient. The produce section was sparse with wilted and limited selections. I was unable to find several items on my list, which was frustrating especially knowing I would need to make an additional stop at a more convenient store. On a positive note, the aisles are wide, making it easy for shopping carts to pass. The store appeared clean and the checkout staff were kind and professional and there is plenty of parking. Overall, I left feeling that Aldi lacks a clear identity. Between the limited product selction across departments and the assortment of miscellaneus items, the experience felt confusing and incomplete. read more

I don't get into the store much or any other locations, but I really like it when I go in and I think gosh I need to stop in the store more often. The store is a little bit similar to me as grocery outlet just so you don't know what's gonna be there all the time . Plenty of parking, saving benefits, crowded usually can find a spot I would imagine and it's easy to get to Cashier William was friendly. I think it's great that their cashiers can sit down. It's one thing if you work retail and you have to move around to stock or to clean to do things you're moving around on your feet but just to stand somewhere in the same spot for 4-10 hours it's a bit taxing so that's one thing I noticed when I went in here the other day. As a child growing up in Chicago, I have vivid memories of visiting Aldi with my family, and getting cheap microwave pizza to watch Saturday morning, cartoons. It was a simple, basic, no-frills grocery store, I can remember it as almost budget-friendly. However, my recent visit to the Aldi has shattered those nostalgic childhood memories. This Aldi is a total revelation, a far cry from the budget grocery store I once knew as a kid. The store's interior is clean and modern, with well-organized products on shelves. The produce section is a main highlight for me, they have a range of fresh, organic options at very affordable prices. One of the most fun isles of this Aldi is "Aldi Finds" section. This aisle is in the center and features an assortment of limited products, it's a treasure trove for bargain hunters. All these products are limited, so look fast. Aldi has private-label products, like there popular "Winking Owl" wines and offer excellent value for money. I remember that traditional Aldi shopping was for basic affordable cheap food, this Aldi has a new evolution, and I love it. You can find premium and organic food here, no more basic microwave pizza for me! Also, you will notice that the cashiers are comfortable and sit down at the cash registers, which is different from other chain grocery stores, and they don't have baggers to bag your food. If you're looking for an affordable grocery store I highly recommend giving this Aldi a try. The produce, wine and organic food selection are some of my favorite picks! Pro tip: Don't forget your quarter! Shopping carts can be used for a quarter. Unacceptable lines. Unacceptable store condition. Dirty bits everywhere. Broken kombucha in the back near the cheese and everyone was just walking through it. I don't come here for you to have 1 line open and 4 people swirling asking "should I open? I don't wanna open. I don't like opening on #2 cause my back is to the door" so we all just wait. No sense in coming here if it's gonna be a wait longer than Costco. What the hell happened here? Your company got too comfortable, prices went up so you cut shifts and jobs is what it looks like. I can tell the store used to care and now you don't. It was never dirty, you never had whole aisles empty, and you never had rude staff all like you do now. It was always busy. That's not necessarily the problem. But you never used to have 1 lane open and come to a full and complete stop anytime a decision had to be made. There is no good time to come in here either. This location is where a Toy R Us used to be back in the day! So Aldi has very good deals but not for everything! Do your research and compare with other grocery stores and their weekly ads and deals with coupons! The checkout lines may be long and they won't bag your items but leave it in a shopping cart and you gotta take it to a different bagging table to do it yourself. Parking is shared with other stores but there seems to be plenty of spots. read more

ALDI really had one cashier holding it down like they were in the Hunger Games. The line was longer than a CVS receipt. I aged 3 years waiting to buy a bag of spinach and some eggs. At one point, I considered just moving in--plenty of snacks, and no one was checking out anyway. Honestly, it felt less like a store and more like a social experiment: "What happens when 45 people need groceries and Chad is the only one on register?" Spoiler alert: Chaos. Tears. Someone tried to Venmo another customer for snacks. Love ALDI's prices. But next time, I'll bring a sleeping bag, a deck of Uno cards, and maybe apply for a job while I wait. 3.Stars just because the chicken is cheaper than Walmart. read more

It's great for groceries but the staff can be spotty. Went in for groceries and I usually have a pleasant experience except for today. There was a cashier with purple died hair who was rude and very huffy with customers. It's sad when the cashiers are taken care but have short fuses. We all have bad days but to take it out on customers is not ok. Aldis needs to be careful who they higher especially if you want to be known for a great shopping experience and great customer care. Finally, set foot into the Aldi near the Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, Burger King, and Lancer's Family Restaurant in a huge shared parking lot off Burbank off Victory & Chandler Blvd. I haven't been to Aldi much, but I needed to stop in after the movies to grab some essentials for a friend's bbq pool party. I came in with my friends... Some pro Aldi regulars who knew the layout pretty well. Aldi has great prices, large isles (like doing a supermarket sweep challenge would be perfect here) and some popular brand stuff, but Aldi is mostly known for carrying a variety of its own products which are of better than fair quality. It kind of reminds me of a streamlined grocery outlet but with a big lots level of products, frozen goods, etc. I've only been to the location in Northridge and another in Hesperia when I go up to visit family and old friends and hadn't found much in the past, but they've definitely been branching out a bit more. I'm glad they carry some more plant-based products, bulk items, and more than decent produce, not to mention some affordable wine, familiar craft beer, and miscellaneous other adult and regular beverages. The checkout was smooth, and it was definitely a place you'd want to remember to bring your bags... Maybe even your own wagon or cart as they charge 25 cents... To use a shopping cart... I totally forgot about that because it's been like 4 or 5 years since I was at any Aldi location... I honestly think this was on reason I stopped going as well as the lack of certain items at the time. Fun facts: Aldi (Nord) has a very cool offspring company you may know as Trader Joe's. I don't really see the "family resemblance," but I could definitely give this nearly 80 year old store brand/grocer a little more credit... I'll be back. read more

I lived in the city of BURBANK for 30 years. I was not familiar with the grocery store. Aldi. I solely went there because my neighbor had some of the best grapes. I can't say ever in my life because I'm a certain age but the best grapes I've had in a long time so big so juicy so far so sweet. I said I must go to this market so let me start with the good thing. There's plenty of free parking after that. It goes downhill all the way I see the grocery baskets and I'm trying to pull them apart. I'm trying to pull them apart and a nice lady comes up to me and tells me I need a quarter. I was stunned a quarter to use the basket. I didn't see a sign anywhere that says that and that was the oddest thing so you had to put a quarter in I did not have one I went inside the store. CASHIER gave me a quarter and I said how does it work I will go back to my car. See if I have a quarter after I buy my groceries I'll get changed. She said no that's OK When you return the basket back come and give me back the quarter first bad thing after dealing with that, I walk in the store had such an un fresh smell. Let me put it simply a bad smell, and that is not what you want to smell at a place where you're going to buy your food Thirdly. It was the chunkies grocery store I had ever seen there were boxes smashed broken up torn up half open half closed in the front of the store in all the aisles like trash they were not stocking because many of the shelves were empty so I think now I'm on the fifth thing Empty shelves. There were no numbers on the aisles. There were no words on the aisles to tell you where things were so now you're shopping aimlessly for what you want with no direction from the store at all and then I did go down a few aisles that didn't even make sense because nothing Was where it should be. Nothing went together like you know how the breakfast stuff would all be in the same aisle maybe the seasonings it was not like that. It was just such a mix mash un organization. It was just incredible. The refrigerator section was empty. It looked unkept and unclean. I really could not believe this place. I was in shock. Suffice it to say I did not buy anything in there I could not tell you if their prices are good or not but just from the looks of it not even great prices would make me shop in a store of this caliber and I was surprise that in a city of BURBANK that's considered an Aliti city Would have such an awful store with such awful presentation and you do not know this until you walk in not a store I would ever go to or ever recommend to anyone this store. read more

This store is clean, has a good selection, and great prices. It's also within walking distance of a Tesla supercharger, which is very convenient! The team members are always friendly here. One time I forgot a quarter and the team member let me have one instead of breaking a five dollar bill. A pro tip is if you forget, a quarter, you can also look for an abandoned shopping cart next to the Tesla superchargers. It seems like many people abandon their cards here instead of taking them back for a quarter. read more

This review is mainly for the outstanding and unexpected great customer service I have ever received at Aldi's. Having been shopping at Aldi's since I was a child (1970s) and being a true loyal customer, also here in the USA. I always look forward to the special " German week," of course. From goodies from back home. I was filling up my shopping cart ( so no other fellow German will get anything but meeeeee! LOL) when I was looking for one item that was also shown in the flyer, and I know from the past that this is one of the items they have on German week. I couldn't find it. There was a lot of stocking of shelves going on in the store. I guess they were adding new deliveries. I saw this one associate filling up some stuff at the freezer section. I already noticed him when I needed to walk by, and how friendly he was. At one point, I asked that guy I had already encountered and asked him if that specific item is placed at a certain area, or if not, if it will come in soon. He stopped what he was doing. He wanted me to explain again what item it was I was looking for, and then he asked one of his coworkers. When that didn't help, he walked with me to the aisle where I knew it would normally be to find it. Neither of us could find it. Then he went to the warehouse ( and I know he did ask and wasn't some excuse. I could tell his sincerity) and asked there. He explained to me that more " German week" items will be delivered tomorrow. I must say, Victor, that is his name, is a true exception. I have never experienced such a committed and friendly, and helpful associate at Aldi's. All you normally get there is " we're out of it," or "it's not on the shelf, we don't have it anymore," or " I don't know," or even being ignored. He truly stands out. German week and a wonderful employee. Yep, that made my day. read more

Aldi, with bargain prices, fresh vegetables, fruits, vegan items, organic meats and high quality cheeses. It has a little bit of everything with staples such a coconut water, shampoos, household items, fresh breads and other nessecties. I didn't notice but others were saying you need a quarter to use the carts to avoid theft. The parking lot is also enormous, the aisles inside are wide so plenty of space. Be sure to bring your own shopping bags, I feel like you come in for one item but leave with 10. So many tempting options, they had wine and spinach artichoke dip, chicken ravioli and ice cream. The employees were very friendly and they have bathrooms at the front, I love that as most places nowadays always say, "no public bathroom!". It was so nice to have a toilet and sink. Overall it's a great store to save some money and still get great food and other goodies! read more

I ordered groceries from Aldi'sto be delivered to my home. I included directions to reach my home because I live in a mobile home park. They delivered them to the wrong address. I opened a chat with their "customer service line" and found them to be very rude and very unhelpful. They told me they couldn't issue a refund. Since then, I have been trying to find out how I can contact them. The only way was through some form on their website. This was my first time using Aldi and it will be my last time. It was done through Instacart and I was not able to reach anyone from Instacart so that's it. I'm not ordering from Instacart anymore. I am totally unhappy and would never ever recommend Aldi or Instacart to anyone read more

I enjoy coming here. They don't have every produce you need, but when they do have produce you know it's fresh as it changes weekly. They do have their staple household items like milk, eggs, bread etc. Really though, everything a regular supermarket has, they have it here. The brands they carry are off brands for a little bit more affordable prices. They also have home items, clothing, etc (non-grocery items). You bag your items yourselves. Sometimes the lines can get long, so patience is key here. read more

Great service, this is where you go to get decent products for low prices. Not a huge selection of items, but corn bread, avocado are half off of Ralphs or Vons prices. Definitely go to Ralph's or Vons for your normal items, but worth a trip to get some discounted stuff. Maybe start here 1st? This location is pretty good its in the same plaza as hobby lobby and home goods so if you want to shop around then get groceries its perfect. One down side is as big as the parking structure is its really hard to find parking unless you are there at 9am when they all open. Dont forget to bring a quarter to grab a cart! read more

I came, I saw, wasn't too impressed. I swear, everywhere you go nowadays, people are talking about Aldi. All over my social media feed, friends, neighbors, the whole town. So, on a tight budget for food this week, I decided to check this place out While I am impressed with the selection of everything they have and sometimes cheaper than I've seen at other markets, I still prefer Trader Joe's 100% over this place. First of all, I completely forgot that you needed a quarter for the cart and I didn't have any. Thankfully a nice customer was just returning there's when they told me that I could have it. Everything was so disorganized which really threw me off. Shelves weren't labeled well. They had an assortment of stuff everywhere from, dog beds to meats, seafood and etc. also, I could see the employees were busy stocking shelves but there were huge carts everywhere and no space to get through. And, even though the store is huge, I still felt claustrophobic. Honestly, as cheap as my groceries came out to be, I'm still gonna continue going to Traders. read more

I was looking forward to check out Aldi for a while now. I was glad that we have a new one close enough. Due to the pandemic I was a bit late at the party. I knew they have many in Europe and wanted to check one out at my in laws in South Carolina but they weren't too keen on stopping by so I can check it out. I did it today. Big shopping center in Burbank on Victory. Some parking available, not crazy. I did bring the quarter for the cart. Boy those carts are huge! Too hard to maneuver in the store. I needed help to get my quarter back. Kinda complicated and hard to figure out. Overall not a good idea to keep touching things especially nowadays. Decent customer service. Not too crowded. The store had no charm, more like a warehouse. The food selection was very disappointing. No European products, or just a few, nothing special. I saw some great looking German cakes in their flyer and pork schnitzel. None in the store. They have a lot of generic food, imitation of American brands. There's more ethnic food in my neighborhood Ralph's! I liked Lidl more, had a better variety and more interesting products. The bakery section here is a joke! I barely got a few things just because I drove over, but otherwise I was extremely disappointed not to find any German fare. Prices are OK but no repeat visit for me! Would like to give this place 3 1/2 stars but I'll do 4 in good faith. I've never been to an Aldi before so I wanted to share my experience to other Aldi virgins. This is also a new location (opened in nov 2020 I think) Pros- The prices on the meat and dairy! I shocked you on chicken sausages, a whole chicken, pork loin, marinated beef did tacos, and pork chops. Amazing prices. The eggs & organic milk were really good prices too! And my favorite: I got a 16" supreme pizza for less than $7! I baked it for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how it good it was. *The aisles are large. Plenty of room to push your giant cart around. Cons- you need a quarter to operate a shopping cart. Thank goodness I had just gotten change from a purchase at HomeGoods next door! I had to put my groceries and 3 year old in the car and then return to the store to put away the cart. *The produce selection wasn't the best. And many things are prepackaged, which I've never liked at other stores (Trader Joe's etc). *the checkout process is strange. They scan everything and put it back in your cart, then you go to a long counter against the wall to bag your own groceries (so bring your own bags if you can!). Not ideal if you have kids with you, or if you are looking for complete one stop shopping. But I'll be going back just for the meat & dairy prices... and that pizza! read more

There's a new market in town -- Aldi! A legal step-brother to Trader Joe's, but who cares, there's nothing like a new new new store in one-half of Burbank's old Toys-R-Us. It' so neat and clean with brand new display cases. Market heaven. The first thing you'll notice is no runaway carts junking up the beautiful new parking lot. Lots of shade thrown here (I'm looking at you, Julie W), but the system is awesome -- one quarter unlocks your cart and you get your quarter back at the end. Or just wait for someone to return their cart and grab it, disinfecting wipes are right there. Want to earn some extra dough? If you do see an unattended cart in the lot, bring it in -- and get ready to join the $.25 club. I made fifty big ones today (fifty cents, that is). What's for sale? Lots of stuff (similar to a Grocery Outlet) with crazy brand names for non-existent places -- Millville, Friendly Farms, Sea Queen, Crownfield, Parkview -- what the glob? I'm from Millville -- where's that, you ask? -- it's right by Crownfield! Prices are for the most part jaw-dropping. Super big tasty cheese pizza that you heat up ($4) and tons of other frozen stuff that is bargain priced. You will easily fill a cart here. No meat or seafood counter and no bakery, but tons of baked goods (courtesy of Baker's Corner brand). Minus one star for not a lot of name brands. Workers unite! I went for the first time after hearing some coworkers suggest it and loving it as well. 5 days into the food that I got and it has been amazing! Some food has some discrepancies but more than majority was good! Great veggie and fruit options. The woman at the check out counter was interactive and upon picking up something she hadn't tried before asked me how it was. It was then that I mentioned that it was my first time and she even provided insight that if there were anything that I would like to return that would do their best to help. I really enjoy shopping at Aldi. They have a lot of fresh veggies and gluten free items at great prices. Today I got chips, mac & cheese, hummus, tzatziki, cheese cubes, avocados, and two of my favorite candles. The employees are helpful. There's lots of free parking, and a restroom to use.
