And this is why I get so frustrated with this Pavillions. Just left the grocery store and it's October 5 and I bought two cans of these. So now I'm inconvenienced to either take these back or just toss them because I don't have the time to deal with this. So frustrating. I don't have time to check expiration dates with everything that I'm buying in a grocery store.

This is a very odd and immediate response to my positive review. It appeared as soon as I posted my good review.... Ummm

My review is for Oscar the checker that helped me out today, and for Roy the bagger who so kindly packed my groceries with care. Oscar has great customer service with a smile. That's always nice to receive. Makes shopping so much more pleasant.

A step up from Vons and similar grocery stores in regards to products sold. Clean store, good parking, great hours. At check out a friendly cashier came over quickly to help on a coupon. Thanks

    Wonderful arrangements!

The floral department at Pavilions on Alameda continues to provide outstanding service. I came in today with a very specific request: to have four identical bouquets created for the women panelists presenting at the Altadena Fire Survivors "Women in Construction" event. Yajaira assisted me with professionalism, creativity, and remarkable patience in meeting every detail of my request. The results were perfect, and I'm truly grateful for her help. If you're looking for personal, attentive service for any floral need, this is absolutely the place to go.

Their flowers are always fully stocked and never dead at purchase.

I am here because of Shannon and the wonderful lady who worked the morning shift with her today 06/09/25 in the floral department( so sorry I forgot her name). The whole store is staffed with helpful people who do not hide or run from you when you need help. However back to floral seriously the best place to go for flowers now days. Every other grocer in this area will give you such a hard time or there is never anyone working the section. Give these ladies a raise pavilions or promotion which ever best fits!

What a great store! Not my regular pavilions but had an appointment in Burbank so popped in. The store is very clean with a beautiful flower section. Bakery section is fabulous as well. So much wonderful items and the staff was very very helpful in looking for an item we couldn't find. Check out gal was very friendly as well. So much great food and groceries to choose from. I could be in there for hours! Great selection of wines as well! Wish their prices were more competitive though. Ample parking!

10.60 meal, they also male Poke bowls to go.

Sushi section, vegan and organic foods, fresh baked pastries and delicious sandwich deli. Tons of fresh items, lots of parking out front. They have a huge kombucha selection, cheese and wine area. You get a little bit of everything here. In a nice area too, it's close in proce to what a whole foods charges.

I come here once in a while for the cheese. They have variety of seasonal artisan cheese and I purchase it for my business. It's always organized and clean. Big store with a lot of products. Even their wine selection is huge. Customer service is ok. Large parking lot

Had to leave a review specifically for the Easter egg hunt event they held at their store today. I heard about it and thought, hmmm, an Easter egg hunt at a grocery store... I don't know why, but I'm intrigued. Took my kid there expecting to do a quick 180 back out the door, but was pleasantly surprised. I could tell the people who set this up put a lot of effort into it. Oh, the eggs. So. Many. Eggs. It wasn't really a "hunt," but the kids did not mind at all. There were some really friendly associates there assuring the kids there were plenty of eggs and to take as many as they wanted. Other friendly associates were even walking around handing out some legit goodie bags. All in all, it was a really nice event for kids, and kudos to all who had a hand in making it that way. Hope they do it again next year!

For whatever reasons, I've visited Ralphs' Burbank San Fernando Blvd. location on numerous occasions over the past couple of months. I was usually in the area for business and work, but something triggered me to reintroduce myself to this location I frequented when I worked at Sport Chalet in the Burbank Media Center Mall ages ago. Of all the grocery chains, I favored the Ralphs brand the most initially because my family shopped there all the time, but I also felt that their prices were generally lower than everyone else, they had better promotional sales, and their stores seemed more inviting. After these recent trips, would I continue to foster a bond with this Ralphs location or would I ralph at the idea!? PURCHASE(S) 07/07/26 TU ($54.76): On this most recent trip, I went crazy and bought six bags of chips because they were all on sale; my favorite Kettle Brand and an Asian brand named Calbee which I really enjoyed on a recent Japan vacation. Their 6pk romaine hearts were always a good deal at $1.00/heart. Their family-sized shredded cheese bag was always a staple for me, and then whatever randomness to fill the cabinets or day-olds for a quick meal. 05/30/26 SA ($25.88): Some bread for mom, more Kettle Brand potato chips, a couple of boxes of my favorite Yogi tea, and any random day-olds I found for quick meals to simply explore. 05/25/26 MO ($8.10): During this review, I've determined what brought me here after all of these years! After an evening of drinking and hanging out at a brewery in the city of San Fernando, I needed some inexpensive food (no fast food) on my way home, and my usual Glendale Ralphs location was out of the way, I hoped this location offered the same options. Thankfully, they did, and so an 8pc Ralphs Home Chef Baked Chicken for $4.95 and a 12oz Kroger Chicken Salad for $3.15 was exactly what I was looking for - boom! SERVICE I meticulously roamed the aisles as I tried to reacquaint myself with this updated version of a bygone time, and I found my intended purchases easily thanks to the proper hanging signage and shelf-talkers. Other than the friendly, efficient checkers at the registers, I explored freely as I dealt with no one else which was fine by me - thank you! PARKING (FREE) They had their own private lot (a former seafood buffet restaurant that has been closed for years still existed on the property) on a spacious corner, there was plenty of parking - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Noticeably smaller than their "standard" stores, this was your basic grocery store layout with multiple uniformed aisles, promotional end-caps, table displays, a floral/gifts area, and cashiers ready to take your money. I think it also housed a pharmacy and possibly the ubiquitous Starbucks. A decent amount of natural lighting came in through the large front glass doors and windows while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Burbank's San Fernando Blvd. Ralphs' location was very convenient in each of these cases, served my immediate needs, and I would certainly shop again. However, because of the smaller footprint, I felt there were less day-old/reduced options. Everything was similar to any other major grocery chain with many familiar brand name products. The prices were comparable if not slightly lower than their competitors (sign up for their FREE rewards program), parking was easy, and the service was straightforward (I couldn't recall if they had self-checkout). I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $89.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

I made sure that was the first and last time I greet however other times she just looks like she has a stick far up her a**. And of course even today she was, let's say it together, not the friendliest, shocking! :SMH: I will only give my positive review for the manager which I believe his name is Ray (if that is not his name, I sincerely apologize). He is friendly, engaging with customers, but overall you can tell he is a good manager, not only to guests but to his associates. Overall the store seems to always re-stock appropriately and if items are gone they will make it a point that it's sold out with a noted Ralph's sticker, sounds weird but I like that approach. It saves time for both the customer not having to ask an associate but also the associate doesn't have to be bothered (because the repetitive questions I bet would be irritating lol).

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.

The store layout is unique here compared to other markets that I shop at frequently. Still, they had fresh, beautiful fruits and veggies at very competitive prices. In example, I got a mint cucumber bag for under $2 a pack of 8. I came for the ahi tuna steak which are tasty when prepared correctly. They carry a little bit of everything, from food items to office supplies, hygienic items, toys, etc. Not a huge store but there is plenty to browse. The check out process was different; when it was my turn, the belt where all the items scroll on, ends at the moment where you are about to pay; making it awkward and a tad bit pushy to bag your own items quickly, as they may fall due to the limited space left there for your items. Overall, a pretty cool store to add to my list.

On the afternoon of June 12, 2026, my 14-year-old son and I checked out with Olivia. We had only about a dozen items, and there was no one waiting behind us. Since my son is not accustomed to Aldi's self-bagging process, he was trying his best to bag our groceries but was moving a bit slowly. Rather than adjusting her pace, Olivia continued scanning rapidly and placing items into the cart, including some in the child-seat area. At one point, our half-gallon of milk nearly fell out. I understand that Aldi's business model emphasizes speed and efficiency, and I generally appreciate that. However, customer service should still matter. Because there was no line behind us, I was surprised that there seemed to be little patience for a young teenager who was genuinely trying to help. When I commented that things felt rushed, my concern was either misunderstood or ignored. At the end of the transaction, Olivia held my cash while waiting for space to place a frozen pizza that was still on the scanner. While her explanation made sense operationally, the overall interaction felt cold and unnecessarily rushed. Perhaps she was having a difficult day, but the experience came across as impatient and passive-aggressive rather than helpful. I want to emphasize that nearly every other cashier I have encountered at this Aldi has been friendly, patient, and accommodating. This review reflects one disappointing interaction, not my overall opinion of the store. I will continue shopping here, but I hope management reminds employees that efficiency and courtesy do not have to be mutually exclusive.
