My first initial interaction was with aliciana and pharmacist Lorrick. They were both VERY kind and accommodating. Lorrick with MORE than helpful as my son's RX insurance numbers weren't working and being rejected. He worked his magic and boom, got it to work. Then when he councled my teenage son, he leaned in and explained the medicine directly to him ( as he is a young man) and I was obviously right there hearing all advice. Anyways, Lorrick you deserve an atta boy! Thanks for making my experience so nice.

If you have 4-6 cars ahead of you, you can guarantee a 40-50 minute wait time sitting in line until you get served. Fast food drive thru's take less time to give you your food! So it begs the question: WTF is taking so long to get your prescription! My wife and I are over this and are thinking we wouldn't mind paying a little more for prescriptions if they take this long. It was humiliating, judgmental, and completely uncalled for. What they didn't know was that my original prescription for 1 mg doses was written by my nurse practitioner, and after my condition worsened, my doctor approved an increased dosage. I followed medical advice, nothing more. But instead of treating me with dignity, the pharmacist made assumptions without context and acted like I was doing something shady. Then, when a new prescription was sent in for a lower dose, they only allowed me to pick that up and didn't bother to explain anything. I wasn't even told there was a 1 mg version available. There was zero communication, zero compassion, and a complete lack of professionalism. People's prescriptions often change--doses go up or down depending on medical need--and pharmacists should know better. But the way I was treated made me feel like I was being profiled or criminalized just for following doctor's orders. Honestly, no wonder Rite Aid went bankrupt. This kind of disrespectful and incompetent treatment is exactly why people are taking their business elsewhere.

Case in point: A Sacramento Rite Aid sold liquor to an underage boy and got caught. Instead of management implementing additional safety measures such as educating their sales associates on what to look for, instead they directed all stores to ID everyone from 21 to 100. That my friends is a prime example of poor management. Maybe that's why the cupboards are bare and now one is near...Please close the store and give Gold River residents another choice. So I decided to look for an old time pharmacy. To my surprise, none really exist anymore. But I did find one, Vitality Pharmacy in Folsom. I decided to give it a shot, and Im so glad I did. The service here is fantastic. The staff take care and interest in my wellbeing. They fill my prescriptions quickly and send me a text when its ready. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. I drive all the way from Fair Oaks to get my prescriptions filled here, and its well worth it. And, if you dont feel like driving they also offer delivery for a small fee. Highly recommended!

I understand that Walmart has policies in place regarding alcohol sales, and I respect the need to follow them. However, the inconsistent enforcement of these policies is frustrating, particularly when I was the one making the purchase and was fully prepared to provide my own identification. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of professionalism and assistance from management. When I attempted to address my concerns, the only response I received was, "That's the policy," with no further explanation, acknowledgment of the inconsistency, or effort to provide any customer service. I expect policies to be enforced consistently and employees, particularly management, to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to address customer concerns. First she said the transfer had not been received, when I told her I had been on the phone with the Walgreens when they faxed over the request she changed her story and said she had just received it 15-20 mins prior to me calling and that it takes 2-3 hours to process the transfer. I waited 2 hours to call them to follow up on the transfer from my initial conversation with Walgreens. I have been a longtime CVS customer and had only requested the transfer because the did not have the medication in stock however my two most recent contacts with them have made me rethink that relationship. Moving on to Walgreens.
