Terrible all the way around. Your doctors office will send the prescription, and then you hear nothing from the pharmacy. I had it where they sent my prescription TWICE and both times I called and came inside and they said nothing was there. Only to find out it's been there for several days (which a tech later told me once I came in the third time). Same thing happened with my wife who found out two weeks later from one of the CVS techs that her prescription was there for two weeks! We'd come by in person, call, all of it was useless. Kept having to go back to the doctor and them reassuring us they sent it. So frustrating, especially when you have time sensitive medication. read more

My scripts were transferred when the RiteAid on sunrise closed, what a miserable experience this has been. Time to make arrangements to move everything again. Covid-19 testing site: Fast and easy Aghh! One of our co-workers tested positive for COVID over the weekend! Some protocols had to be set in place at my work building the Monday we returned to work. Even though it has been over four months since I had my second vaccine I wanted to make sure and still get tested (precaution measure). CVS provides vaccine and testing services so I went on their website to see when I can schedule an appointment for Rapid-result testing. After answering a few questions the website then directed me to choose a location, date and time. I couldn't get a same-day appointment and the next available slot was in 6 days so I took it. Testing day: My appointment was at 4:30p but they called me early in the day and asked if I wanted to come in sooner. I immediately took the offer. I arrived a little earlier than the given new time and knocked on the Patient Entrance side of the kiosk. Do not go inside the CVS store. After providing reservation confirmation code and identification I was given a swab to proceed with the testing. The whole process took 3 mins, maybe even less. The nurse was pleasant and professional. This location was the closest test location from my home and is FREE with my insurance. I received my result by text within an hour. My daughter has severe breathing problems and starts coughing and that decreases her ability to breathe. She is prescribed Albuterol. There are 2 types, one in a container that has a blue handle (stronger one) and one with a white handle (weaker) . Her doctor prescribes the one with the blue handle. Today, she could not find the one with the blue handle. And she always tells the pharmacist to only give here the blue handle one, She ordered it over the phone and the "Doctor Pharmacist" refused to give it to me as she said we picked it up 2 days ago. I told her that we could not find the blue one in the bathroom, only the white handled one. She still refused me and started to argue with me. would not give me the correct one, still insisted that I was given the blue one 2 days ago. She would not believe me. Thought I was a liar. My daughter is on Medi-Cal, and I was forced to pay her the full price in order to receive it. I assumed that now I am coming home with the correct blue one. Nope. Again, it was the white (incorrect) one!!!!!. My daughter called them back and I turned around, drove another round trip to CVS. This time I was so nervous, disgusted, and scared, I started crying, they had another pharmacist help me, the one who refused me service had gone to another section of the store. This lady credited my credit card, and Before I received the inhaler, I asked her to open the box and let me see it. This time it was correct, I thanked her, and left the store, I was shaking so badly, I stayed in the slow lane as I did not want to get into an accident. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was trying to pick up my medications at the pharmacy which closed at 9pm but I was turned away even though I arrived at 8:45pm. There was still 15 minutes and they would've easily just grabbed my medication. But no. The worker decided to be lazy asf. 0 out of 5 stars for this location, the workers and the customer service. I can't think of much that ever goes right at this pharmacy. Besides perfunctory service which I could get over, I would honestly just like to get my prescriptions... at all. But they are notoriously late or out of stock. I'm pretty sure their tactic is to wait until after you've stood in a 15 person line to claim it will be "30 more minutes" and then they actually start preparing your order. Maybe it's a tactic to get you to kill time and shop the store. I dunno... but my prescriptions have never been ready on time. They also run out of product making me wait even longer, often many days missing my dosage. This last time I've had it and asked them to transfer my prescriptions to a pharmacy that knows what they're doing. They said I could request a transfer at the drop off window. Well surprise...surprise, nobody ever showed up at the window. So I left and I will just have my doctor call it in elsewhere. I wrote a review several years ago and have to again I stopped going because of issues before and returned as they are close to my home and I had new prescriptions(this was a mistake). For two weeks this pharmacy calls me telling me things are ready only for them not to be . Telling me they ordered out of stock prescription when they didn't . I can't believe they can operate like this and gamble on people's health. They have completely messed up my routine for my thyroid my diabetes etc. I have had so much stress over this. I was refused the sale of insulin syringes because I didn't have a prescription. Was told it's their store policy. Their policy creates a hazard for our community. It also was a waste of my time to wait in line and then be treated like I was a criminal or a drug addict. There's no laws preventing the sale of syringes in California and if I was a drug addict I could get them for free. I went to Walgreens and made my purchase. I won't frequent cvs anymore. What can I say about CVS, they have some amazing deals they send through the mail all the time and if you're a member you can take advantage of their in store deals as well! I really enjoy shopping here and on Tuesday was no exception, you know you're a Hello Kitty fan when your decked out literally from head-to-toe! Well I was almost out of pull-ups and found Hello Kitty ones in her size on sale for 2 for $20...they were just too cute to pass up and not to mention an incredible savings! They're working great for her, she loves them! I also purchased her some cough medicine from a brand favorite, Zarbees for ages 1-12, since it's natural and #1 Pediatrician recommended! She has had a cough since the weekend and this product is working great to soothe her throat! I would highly recommend this location and I will continue to come back, thank you to the sweet and helpful staff for helping me with my items and getting me in and out quickly to help my little one!! read more

I visited this location a couple of months ago and felt compelled to share my experience now. I want to clarify that I typically avoid bringing race into discussions, but I believe it played a role in this incident. I was unwell that week, suffering from bronchitis and sinusitis, and went to CVS to pick up a prescription--not from the portable or drive thru. When it was my turn in line, an older gentleman, likely in his late 60s to mid-70s, called me up. From the outset, he scrutinized me, and I was aware that I did not look my best due to my illness; I was in lounge wear, without makeup, and my hair was in a messy ponytail. I believe he judged me harshly based on my appearance and skin color (I am Mexican). After I provided my name, birthday, and the prescription from my doctor, I handed him my insurance card, which belongs to my mother. He immediately began questioning the legitimacy of my insurance, treating me as if I was doing something wrong. Before I presented my card, he assumed I had no insurance based on his disdainful expression, stating, "It's going to be $100" in a condescending tone. While I cannot recall the exact amount, it was over $50 without insurance. After a lengthy interrogation and disapproving looks, he informed me I would need to "wait" 15 minutes for my prescription, despite having already paid, without any explanation. I initially complied and waited, but eventually felt this treatment was inappropriate. I approached a female staff member for assistance, but she did not engage with me either I was over it. I went to the CVS to pick up some hair conditioner and some other items. I had some extra bucks rewards. I bought a conditioner an eyeliner and some freeze dried fruit for my bunny. I used my rewards and my extra care and paid $2! I am so happy to save when I can. I love this CVS. there is a huge selection of makeup, makeup tools, nail polish, laundry detergent, pet supplies, snacks, drinks and pantry staples. They have a lot of blushes which I love. Sometimes it's hard to find the right shade of blush but not here. I can always find the right shade. Heidi was the associate that helped me check out. she was friendly and helpful. she checked me out fast. I always mention this, time is money so I appreciate her speed. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there were a couple of aisles being restocked so they were blocked. I will always go to this CVS even though there is another one close to me. I recently had to pickup a prescription. My doctor didn't call it in until late so when I got to CVS, it was about three minutes till closing. When I reached the window, there was at least one minute till closing. They hadn't shut the screen and a clerk was standing in front of the register. I was in severe pain and having a hard time walking, and the clerk said we're closed and I told him my doctor had to call it in late because she hadn't gotten all of the results back from my test You could tell I was obviously sick and he said sorry we're closed and I said I need this tonight. I said I'm in severe pain and he said sorry and that was all there was to it. I didn't get my prescription had to go through another night of severe pain. I can't believe the place would be so inhumane to let somebody go through the pain they were going through. He hadn't even closed his register yet I will not be going back to the store I will do mail order now in the future. No one has ever been overly friendly there. I came in this morning, after I was notified that I had two prescriptions that were ready to be picked up. I checked the app, and it showed that the pharmacy was open... It was 9 AM at the time. I went in and had no line in front of me. I pick up my prescriptions within about two minutes. As always the pharmacy staff was pleasant, and helpful. Unfortunately, while I was waiting, I noticed that the rug was filthy yet again. Every time I go into the store it looks as though they just don't care to vacuum. There was a used sucker stick laying on the carpet, and some general debris and trash. It really brings down the customer perception of this location. read more

This is the CVS nearest where I live so this is the one I've always gone to. I've decided to review today because Wayne is incredible. Covid is making everyone crazy anxious and some people were showing that today, plus they are training newbies which kind of slowed things down as training tends to do. Wayne kept his cool and kept his humor. He helped me get some photos printed off that I had to mail off *today* in order to get them to their recipient on tine. This CVS location is the absolute worst pharmacy. I've filled my prescriptions at many pharmacies in many states across the country and never have i been ao utterly disappointed. In every way possible, the pharmacists create unnecessary issues for their customers. I've witnessed countless others walk away or drive away from the drive up window cursing over the poor experience. I hate to say this, but this pharmacy is extremely consistent- they have never once failed to have my medicine ready at the time they provide over the telephone. I despise calling them beforehand, but unfortunately they leave their prey few other options...because if you show up without calling you will undoubtedly be sent away after being given an incorrect time to return. Usually I am understanding as pharmacies are busy places and understaffed but often I am the only person their waiting for hours on end for my inhaler to be dispensed. When they answered on 4th try, the lady informed me prescription (placed a week ago) won't be available for 2 more days. Told her that I was out of the medication. This CVS is pretty good. They manage to stay nice even when customers get upset. Their pharmacy is always busy. But this is the pharmacy I prefer. If you're patient they are patient and the pharmacy technicians help you to the best of their abilities. They have a like doctor clinic option too but if you don't have insurance it's like $200 per appointment plus whatever they need to do such as a strep throat swab which is $50 ish. So that's $200+$50 for the "doctor clinic" but it's an option. The lights buzz and sometimes there's stuff on the ground by the pharmacy but it's a busy cvs, so I expect it. I would give 0 stars if could. Let me start by saying that I work for my mother who is bedridden. She needed antibiotics and an inhaler, and another pharmacy sent us here. We got there around 11AM for CVS to do a transfer request to the other pharmacy that does not accept our insurance. They said the meds would be ready and the transfer through in 15 min, I did not have time as I needed to go to my second shift so I said could I come back at 6. Pharmacist confidently said they would be ready with no issue. Well, I get back to find that CVS has no medicine and I call the other pharmacy and they have no record of a transfer. They are willing to do phone verify, and so I go to CVS once again only to speak with a pharmacist who is not willing to even make eye contact and brush me off like nothing. I have to ask for them to tell me how long everything will be as they clearly have 0 customer service skills. She says perhaps an hour. Not engaging with any of my questions or acknowledging my presence at all. OK, hour passes and I come back and they say they CANNOT ACCEPT me as the insurance does not cover her (she literally saw the doctor that referred us here 1 hour before with the same insurance) or the number doesn't match. My other pharmacy clearly said they could. Nothing makes sense, my mom is bedridden, and I need to get her medicine. Well, later on my mom calls to find that they made a mistake and they are able to give her antibiotics. SERIOUSLY? I've never been so frustrated in my life. THE ONLY competent worker here was the woman who made the call to the other pharmacy. Otherwise, I would absolutely give 0 stars for lack of customer service, competency, and overall error. I scheduled an appointment today for 1:30 for the shingles shot for my husband and myself. I was told a few days ago that our insurance was accepted. So upon arrival the lady told us that the pharmacist was at lunch. WHAT?? I made an appointment!!! So she does a bunch of things on her computer and comes back with this: Medicare does not cover the shingles shot and neither does my secondary Kaiser, only the flu shot. It would have been nice had that been anywhere on the appointment online schedule. I call BS to Medicare not covering it. The cost out of pocket $186 something. Needless to say, uhhhhh NO! The pharmacy techs are unhelpful and do not take into account patient needs. This morning around 10 am after leaving Emergency Room with a prescription for my 81 y.o. Mother's pain related to fractured arm, the tech at this CVS told us the medication would not be ready until 3 pm and to come back then. At 2 my mom was in great pain and needed her to have her pain medication, we hopped in the car and drove to CVS requesting to pick it up. The tech at the drive through told us the med wasn't quite ready (2:30 pm) and asked if we could wait a couple of minutes for them to fill it. We agreed - even though it had been more than 4 hours since prescription drop off. A couple of seconds later a female technician interrupted the other tech stating over the intercom "We agreed to pick at 3 and the medications - Colace and Percocett are not ready to pick up - come back at 3!" Meanwhile my mom is crying in pain - the medication ordered was not some designer med. We got home at 2:41 and received a text that our med was ready for pick up. My mom will be transferring her prescriptions to a competitor that wants our business and will not make us run around and beg to have our prescriptions filled. read more

I've had bad experiences here in the past, HOWEVER, they have since hired a few new pharmacy technicians who are more friendly and helpful than some of the long-timers that have been at this branch for a while. They told me the minute clinic had some and sent me there. Now I'm getting a bill for a freaking flu shot that should have been covered by my insurance but they counted it as an "office visit" NOT covered by my insurance!!!!! What the heck!!!!!! Yelp shows that Saturday hours are 8am, this is incorrect!!! The pharmacy doesn't open until 10am and there is nothing differentiating or stating that the pharmacy has different operating hours.
