I shop at this Raleys store regularly and one of the reasons I shop at this particular Raleys store is Danny, the head clerk. Danny, the "Head Clerk" in this Raleys is always positive, friendly, helpful and professional when I am shopping in this store. Danny generally is busy watching the front end, helping customers at the self check out registers, answering shoppers questions and or he is on the floor stocking the produce department, straightening up floor displays,etc.Danny deserves a "10++++++" for his excellent customer service and for being the "AWESOME" person that he is!! Staff are not very friendly or hospitable to service animals. My grandma was followed around the store and asked three times to leave until I spoke to management.. atmosphere is threatening it made the groceries very un appealing at that point. Selection and prices ok. Not much different than any store ...but the poor customer service is what lead me to write this review. (Store 421) I came by around 12:30 pm on 11/3/24 and I got in Angie's line (#406583). During the whole transaction she did NOT once greet, thank or even make eye contact with me or my husband even when we proceeded to do her job of bagging our own items. Once I saw her line start to get long I proceed to start bagging my items and my husband helped. She ignored us. Didn't even bother to call for a bagger or for assistance and allowed us to do her job without saying a thing. Angie then proceeded to talk to another employee as she was smiling and chuckling away. Once our transaction was completed she stood there and stared at my husband. He looked at her and asked "Are we done here?" Angie didn't even say anything, not even giving us our total, or a word. Are we supposed to guess that she's done? I was so upset that I told Angie that she was incredible rude and dismissive. I informed her that she didn't even say one word to us during the whole transaction even when we helped her with her job. She lied and said that she told us thank you...this was not the case. She then started to make excuses for her behavior by telling her whole life story with her sick child. I'm sorry but I work in healthcare and deal with the public at large. I have worked through sick hospitalized children, deaths in the immediate family, etc...but when I'm at work I leave it all behind. I do NOT allow my personal life interfere with the care I give and stop me from performing my job. If a sick child is preventing you from doing something as simple as greeting your customers, making eye contact or saying a simple thank you then you're not fit to work. Funny how your sick child didn't prevent u from laughing and smiling at another employee the whole time you were disregarding your customers. To Safeway management, your employees need to be a bit more courteous. This individual needs to be talked to and perhaps be given time off especially if her family issues prevent her from providing basic courtesy and manners. We were deciding between going to Safeway and Raleys and for some reason we chose Raleys. We regret our decision coming here. We will NOT be coming back. read more

The rep at the bakery coffee counter was friendly and even rang me up so I didn't have to stand in line with others. The store usually has two entrances, but when I came in tonight only one side was opened. This is my only complaint, as social distancing cannot be maintained when many people are trying to enter and exit at the same time. read more

On Friday I was in need of some groceries and had some rewards built up thanks to their Something Extra Program. If you haven't heard of this amazing rewards program, it's through your phone number and you get special rewards dollars and personalized coupons including freebies sent to you in the mail! I would highly recommend this location, it had been a hot minute, but I have always enjoyed this location! It's located conveniently nearby plenty of dining options and shops to get everything you need this holiday season! I'm more impressed with this Raley's than the more city-centric locations I usually frequent. Less crowded and easier to access, this is my store of choice whenever I happen to be in this part of the Burbs. Unlike the more modern stores downtown, this place has more of a dated, mid-90s vibe. Lots of beige and brown. Of course, that's the least of my concerns when I'm shopping with no higher priority than finding the foods I need at a decent price, and somehow this store seems to have more deals and discounts on the shelf than any other I've been in. As I mentioned, it's spacious and easy to access as well with a parking lot that only gets crowded at peak hours. Each time I go in there are plenty of check-stands open and I can be out of there in under ten minutes with the products I was looking for. Other grocery stores, take note! read more

I haven't had many shopping experiences at this center yet, but so far my impression is very positive. The employees have always been kind and the shelves are well stocked and organized. I stood patiently in line for 3 hours for the bottle signing while everyone else was cutting. Patiently sat and waited. Finally I got fed up and walked to the front with a group that was cutting. Everyone but me made it through. One Raley's manager decided at that moment to start enforcing the line. Ordered online..picked it up at the deli..which it all came in a nice sturdy box with individual containers of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean almondine, cranberry sauce and a 10lb. Both guys were fun and professional. Still wound up having a googlepay issue, which i have had at other places as well. Had nothing to do with Raleys. Didnt see girls who made my life miserable, last time i was there. Manager (Danny) was great! Excellent service! The Chinese takeout was heinous. I came at dinner time expecting something that was made relatively recently but the noodles were mushy and flavorless, fried rice was old with dried out peas and dried out pork and old flavorless mandarin chicken. Plus it was 3x more expensive than most Chinese RESTAURANTS - each small container was $8 which is insane for such low quality food that isn't freshly prepared. I'm a pretty regular Raley's shopper, but I'm very disappointed that they have such low-caliber ready made food. read more

Raley's is interesting because back in the day 1990s, 2000s they were the only place in town (other than Trader Joe's I would argue) where you one could get quality produce, meats, seafood, etc. As anyone knows there are many additional options nowadays - Sprouts, Whole Foods and Nugget. Safeway's, Ralph's, SaveMart and the countless stores that have failed were fine, but not high end. While Raley's still has good produce, it isn't always consistent and the prices are just sky high. I understand Raley's pays their employees good union wages, but it's hard shopping here for certain items when you can get them at WinCo , Target or Walmart for much less. Unfortunately Raley's now has to compete with WalMart and Target for packaged goods. For example, you can buy a Lindt chocolate bar for $3 at WalMart or $4 at Raley's (just one example). The biggest savings can be seen in toiletries, cleaning products, coffee, cereals and other packaged goods. But the positives - they have a USPS mail center inside, USPS mailbox outside, dry cleaning, pharmacy, Pete's Coffee, Wells Fargo Bank (three ATMs) that is open on Sundays, bakery, deli, Chinese food, bulk natural foods section and a fresh seafood section. They just reorganized the store and it doesn't seem to make sense, but maybe over time customers will get used to it. Stop by and check it out. read more

On Saturday, the 23rd, I was shopping and asked an associate Vanessa to help me reaching for a can of chicken soup due to my age. She was disrespectful to me in regards to my request and would not assist me. This was hard and incredibly strenuous on me to reach for the soup. I went shopping tonight and passed the meat and seafood section. I only came in for a few things and saw the ribs were on sale. I like to have a rack of ribs cut into 2" strips. I rang the bell and realized it was already 6:00pm. Many years ago I had come specifically to buy some ribs and have them cut. I rang the bell and the meat cutter told me he just cleaned the cutter and he couldn't help me. I stated it was only 4:30 pm and he storms off and made me feel horrible. I have been going to this Raley's for over 20 years. I just celebrated my 40th birthday last month. Since Covid-19 the DMV has been closed and way behind. I own several auto dealersships and had my DMV service apply for my new ID in April and still have not received it. Since my ID has expired last month I have purchased alcohol at this location 3 time over the last 3 weeks and this cashier (Operator #607768) has helped me countless of times as I go here every week and spend about $400 every time. So tonight I was surprised she asked for my ID as she knows me and knows I am over 21 (40 years old). She said since it just expired I could not buy my items and proceeded to put them back. Even though she knows I am nearly double the age and it just expired and due to covid-19 with the DMV closure she did not care. I go to Raley's for the service, not the higher prices and tonight I left feeling very irritated. I held my tongue as I did not want to make a scene but had to get my frustration out. I will no longer be buying alcohol at Raley's and on days I plan to pick some up I will be going to Safeway across the street which is what I did tonight since at Raley's I am just a number even when the staff knows be by name and seen me thousands of times. AMD the alchole items I bought at Safeway were actual about 20% cheaper even though the savings is not very important to me. My cashiers name was May this afternoon. I initially noticed how friendly she was with the customer before me, while still maintaining a productive pace as the store was quite busy. When she was ringing me up she noticed the container of strawberries I was buying was leaking, flipped it over to find a couple strawberries going bad, causing the leak, and got me a fresh container. It was something I wouldn't have noticed until I got home, and something she didn't have to point out, but by doing so, showed exceptional customer service! read more

I actually love this Raley's but I was very disappointed this evening. My husband and I went to drop off our ballots and walked in at 8:03pm because it took a minute to get the baby out of the car. We were denied our drop off. We went to another drop spot at a church (obviously after 8pm) and when we walked up we were told "legally we have to take your ballots because they are signed and sealed". They even gave us an "I voted" sticker for the baby. So.... legally Raley's drop spot should have taken our ballots too. read more

Since the remodel, products are more difficult to find as the stock is not laid out intuitively. They have shoved everything out of the way to expand and showcase the large alcohol and wine display. Second, the customer service has declined over several visits this past year. I've encountered visibly frustrated and indifferent employees as I've had to ask where stuff is located. The last time I was there I had two problems getting the self service check out to work. The girl working the area looked irritated with me and left her post. When I asked the clerk at the full service check out if she could help me during the second malfunction, she said she had to call for customer service to come over. I waited but no one responded. I walked out without buying anything and haven't been back since. I shop at the Safeway sometimes and now I see folks working there who left Raleys. I'm not sure if it's a corporate problem or an individual problem with the store management. There is way to much competition in the grocery business, both online and brick and mortar, to allow for this poor organization and customer service. Add the fact that a grocery bill at Raleys can be 10-20 percent more than other stores and customers will quickly abandon your business model. read more
