Giving this BevMo a 5 star review because out of all of the Bevmos I have been to in California (so far) it is the ONLY one that carries Local Roots Hard Kombucha. Spacious and clean store with good parking. Helpful staff even when it was NYE and slammed. They had peppermint schnapps but only the weak hitter. I wanted the 100 proof version and found it at a small liquor only store. Price of Fireball mini were very reasonable, $1.29. They had many other individual serving bottles sold individually for great stocking stuffers or a nice touch to a gift any time of year. Prices were alright. read more

When I placed my order on line, it wasn't enough for free delivery, but in the suggestion section was the wine I often buy, which brought the order up to free delivery. Veuve Cliquot (verve Klee-koh) Saturday! We had a a couple of champagne earlier along with some bbq chicken, corns, clam chowder dipped with sourdough bread. Maybe weird combo but it was satisfying. Great customer service. Customers wear masks and practice social distancing. You can find just about any domestic and imported wine, beer and spirits. Some absolutely at a great bargain- buy one and second for just 5 cents! You get to accumulate points... Juan and I don't drink but we like our sip of good wine ie. Meiome (we bought that too, for another day) and this champagne was as good as Moet imperial. If you like Brut (less sweet, the extra dry is sweeter)... get Brut. They get 5 stars for their 5¢ sale on my favorite wine. I got 6 bottles, which will last me till January. They get 1 star for their curbside pickup. I ordered and paid for the wine on their app. Selected a pick up time of 7:45-8:00pm. Drove over and parked in their pick up spot. Followed instructions to indicate that I was there for pickup. The guy at the register had few customers and kept looking out at what I thought was me. Headlights on waiting. Never moved a muscle. After 15 minutes someone pulled up beside me. Almost right away a gal rolled out with a cart of her stuff. Put it in their car. I thought they had to be getting to me. After some more minutes passed I turned off my car and went inside. Exactly what I wanted to avoid! Asked around and finally got someone to look for my order. At this point I thought perhaps I hadn't followed the procedure correctly. I asked the employee for a quick lesson in what I should do. He showed me exactly what I had already done on my phone. He double checked his device and said he had gotten no notice from me and had gotten no notices for pickup since 4pm that day. It was 8:30pm. I asked what went wrong or what else I could have done. He chuckled and said, "I don't know it's above my pay grade. Here's your order." So now I'm in the store, out of my car, carrying a box of wine, placing it in my own trunk and back on the road in 30 minutes. Curbside pickup... not very convenient nor taken very seriously. read more

I've been coming to BevMo! for most of my life. I'd always come in with my mom or step-dad when they were looking for something that couldn't be found at the regular grocery stores. Now as an adult, I'm the same exact way. When looking for alcohol my first thought is that I'll just grab it while I'm at Target or any other store. If I can't find what I'm looking for however, then I'll make the trip over here. The staff has always been friendly and willing to help with whatever questions I have. They seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the products and can give some very good recommendations. There are so many different products to choose from including alcohol, sodas, mixers, syrups, snacks, and pretty much anything else you could need with your drinks. They even have sodas and non-alcoholic options! I had gone down to Monterey some years ago and met the owner of Sparky's root beer at a festival. Sweetest man in the world and he had told me that he just got into Bevmo! That's some of the best root beer I've ever had and continue to come here just to support that man. This isn't a paid endorsement, I just really like that root beer and this is the only place that sells it around here. Now I had tried to buy some here immediately after my return from Monterey, but got denied because I wasn't 21 yet at the time. BevMo! has a policy where you cannot purchase anything including snacks if you aren't 21 or accompanied by a 21 year old. I personally think you should be allowed to buy the sodas regardless of age, but at the end of the day it's no big deal. If you're looking for something that isn't sold in the superstores, odds are BevMo! has exactly what you're looking for. I even found a bottle of "8 Years in the Desert" which I had been trying to find for some time now. read more

Nothing like a good o'l bottle of pop to help ease an upset stomach, my mama always told me ginger ale was the answer and other sicknesses then it's Gatorade to bring back electro lights, throat coat tea for a sore throat etc, we always stocked up in the house! On Wednesday evening I stopped in to get some soda pop to ease an upset stomach I had for a couple days, I purchased Sangaria Naturally Flavored Ramune Premium Soft Drink, Original Flavor made with real sugar. It's delicious, also fun to open, you remove the cap, push down and a marble shoots down, as a kid I always ordered these whenever going out to a Japanese restaurant! The company has been around since the 1980's and it's a classic with several choices to choose from, I still need to try more they are still coming out with! I also purchased 7UP Lemon Lime 100% Naturally Flavored Caffeine Free Soda, 2 liters and dressed in an Ugly Christmas Sweater lol, I don't have to tell you about this company it's very well known! I remember my dad making Shirley Temples which is made classically with 7UP, when he used to work in a restaurant and I always asked for extra cherries! 7UP definitely helps ease an upset stomach, just warn others, after a couple glasses you can burp the Alphabet, but relieving gas is what you want! Lastly I purchased Sprecker Fire-Brewed(brewed in a hand-built gas-fired brew kettle) Ginger Ale Craft Soda, it's gluten and caffeine free. The flavor wasn't what I was used to, bit different. I would recommend trying out this location, I was sent here from Sprouts Farmers Market next door, since they don't carry soda and the cashier was friendly as well since I was a bit confused exploring the huge store! Whether your looking for an alcoholic beverage, which they certainly do have or soda, they have plenty of options, I know I'll be back especially if I get another tummy ache! This store has been going downhill for the past year at least and that is an understatement. Was just there today, unfortunately and I walked out without buying anything because they can't keep stock on the shelves, and they have a worker shortage, which was very obvious by the lines in the register management here absolutely sucks. I would not waste my time they should actually demolish the store. read more

The Staff is always very friendly and if you can't find something they are happy to assist. I love that BevMo price matches with other stores. Not always needed by good to have the option. Came here this week to get some spirits and Cherrywine soda. I love the selection of bottled sodas, can't wait to try my next flavor what will it be maybe a root beer as they have a few to offer. Not a regular customer, but I needed to pick up a 6-pack. Figured a big alcohol specialty store would generally beat supermarket prices so I went a bit out of my way to BevMo. Grabbed my beer and checked the shelf tag that said $9.99. At checkout, it rings up as $13+ total and I mention the shelf price and am told that $9.99 was "probably" the club price and the non-club price was higher, and I could join the club by texting some number. My patience ran out about then, so I just left and drove to the Raley's a few blocks from my house. Their price? $9.99. It's pretty bad when BevMo's "club" price can't beat Raley's (Raley's!) and their non-club price is higher. Maybe they've got lots of sales for other stuff, or maybe customers are giddy that signing up for a club gives them a discount, but I wasn't impressed with their artificially high "non-club" price for my item. read more

Ahhhh BevMo. It's a blessing and a curse to live close to one. This location has a pretty awesome staff. I like how I don't have to stand near the vodka case long like a puppy in a pet shop window... they come right over and unlock my Belvedere for me promptly. I don't normally buy wine here, but when I've wanted to try something random and am too lazy to drive to a winery the staff is knowledgeable and makes spot on recommendations. Apparently they get trained in wine and get to do routine tastings. Talk about a job perk. Lines are never long. I do wish they had a better cheese selection so I don't have to drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. read more

We shop here frequently and one of the great things about BevMo is the price matching. The manager has to be the one to do it and it seems the manager Diana there hates to do it since each time she gives attitude and will literally scoff at us when we say we want to do 2 items. Today we said we had more than one to price match at which she huffed and said wow and shook her head at us. She does not know what we are going through in life and the fact that she made us feel bad about wanting to price match for a lower price was NOT OK! That is not customer service and she has no right to give us a hard time for wanting to price match and make her do her job. NOT OK bevmo! read more

No stars...if I could. BevMo started electronically scanning barcodes on government IDs...no matter age as a new company policy by Go Puff (who purchased BevMo). I communicated with the corporate office about this invasion of privacy, and they said it's the new company policy...and is not slated to change. The barcode on licenses contains ALL the inform on the front of the ID. Bevmo/Go Puff has no business infringing on the privacy of its customers to this level. I informed corporate that they lost a customer...for good. Others who care about where their personal information is being stored should be aware it's being collected. read more

The staff's all and the place is all rearranged, can't understand what was so wrong that a complete overhaul was needed. The manager, Scott is gone, Kimiko is gone. There are a few employees I know and like; Kim and Geri but I miss the mood and the atmosphere that was there under previous management. There must be a reason. I hope it's a good one. I am sick of people repeating the same thing they said 2ninutes ago as if some magic has occurred and they became charming or interesting and now it will assuage the situation. This BevMo had clear and visible signs that made it clear for me to find what I was looking for. The rosé of course was what I was looking for and I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge selection. This store is most of the time fully stocked with everything and the staff is always super nice and helpful and they have great deals on craft beers and hard ciders and the store is always super clean and fully stocked a lot of the time. They can also order things for you if you can't find it in the store and have it delivered to the store for you and that's for everything all the wines and beers and ciders and extra, it's so worth it. And the mangers of the store are also very nice and helpful as well and they have helped me and my husband a few times, we have been coming to this store for years. I highly recommend this place for everyone if you are 21+ years old. read more

This is a review of the current customer service. Lately the customer service of some of staff that work here is so bad or non existent that it makes walmart look like a designer boutque. This was the second time recently where the check out employee doesnt even greet when I'm checking out and the first thing that comes out of their mouth is 'phone number!', and then when the transaction was complete I wasn't even offered a reciept, which is also a recurring theme here. read more

I am a frequent customer of this location, for years now. Team members that have helped time and time again. familiar faces including Kim. I placed an order today for curbside pickup and it was ready earlier than the quoted time window, which is great. Unfortunately hours later when I unpacked my order, I noticed I received a 50 ML instead of 750 ML that I paid for. Completed the survey on my receipt and mentioned the error, hoping to bring it to their attention, that was my intention. I got a call within 5 minutes from Kim at the store, apologizing for the error and options to fix. She immediately refunded me for the difference, like my card was updated within minutes of hanging up. That is customer service, exceptional experience that I truly appreciate. Okay, had to update this as their wine tasting afternoons are now $2! They are still from noon to 2:00 pm. And you don't pay the two bucks to Sean in the tasting corral, you get handed a ticket w/ a barcode and then you pay at the register. This poses a problem because: 1) The price has gone up by 200%. Doesn't matter if it's only $2 because, hey, a buck is a buck. 2) After sampling a few wines, I forget to pay. You know how that is. Still, BevMo comes out ahead because invariably I end up buying a bottle or two. 3) You have to pay tax on this puppy! Before you could just fork over a dollar. Still, I like coming here. I recently came into the store and dropped my wallet, obviously, my fault I drop my wallet. I spoke with Geri, totally awesome. Great customer service and she answered a lot of my questions I had for her about running by cameras to see where I drop my wallet. I was advised to contact the store manager the following day in which I did now this is where the customer service went completely to trash. When I spoke with the store manager, she cut me off in midsentence and told me that she was unloading a truck and I'd have to call back at a later time. If this is who manages your store, this is a red flag for customer service skills were absolutely horrible I myself is in the customer service business and by no means would I ever cut a customer off in mid sentence, especially when they're expressing that they lost their credit cards, debit cards, drivers license and cash. Are usually come in here every other day and now I'm thinking I will find another store. read more

During this pandemic it would be nice to be treated with the "customer comes first" mentality that I'm used to seeing from BevMo. In this visit I was not. Placed an online order for the soonest time I could pick up, which was stated as 5:00. Charged for my order and received confirmation that it was placed. Showed up at 5:00 and waited till 5:35.... outside... while many other customers came and went. I don't see how it is that hard to please a customer that has been standing in front of you for 30 minutes, especially when they have already been charged. A simple order of hard seltzer's can not be that difficult to grab and bring out. Pathetic system that these guys have set up! read more

Worst customer service ever !! Called in couple of weeks ago to place an order for a couple of bottles of Pear Liqueur . Gave my name and phone number I was told it will take around a week and they will call me when it gets here . Called in to check on it today after more than 2 weeks after to be told by an annoyed employee ,obviously bothered by my call , that yeah ,it looks like somebody tried to order it but it has been discontinued . Hmm , okay I can understand that but why they did not bother to call and let me know about it ( anxiously been waiting for it , happy that I could get it locally :)) ? They had all my info ,right ? She replied with same condescending ,annoyed tone that ,yeah, it has been crazy around here with Covid 19 and all . I went there , what Covid 19 craziness?? Laziness maybe .. It's a ghost town , missing tumbleweeds , but you get my drift . You walk through the doors there is one employee leaning against the check stand barely giving you a nod and god forbid asking for help ! How dare you bothering them , you are just a paying customer ! For that kind of service I go to Walmart , at least you are kind expecting it and they have better prices ! Management ,please educate all of your employees about what a good customer experience should look like . Deliver an experience customers can rely on , treat the customer with respect and empathy , hold your employees accountable for delivering a poor customer experience , otherwise you will loose customers. If you want better prices and good customer services stick with Total Wine , little further down the freeway but well worth it , by far !!
