Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken
    Patrick Z.

The combos here cannot be beat like this is such a deal at a great price. I got the combo 5 which let me choose 2 meat and 1 veggie dish and came with rice and naan. The lamb curry was pretty dry to be honest, I wasnt the biggest fan. The butter chicken however was actually very good, much better than most places Ive had in the city and reminds me a lot of my favorite one from Houston. It was tender, juicy, and sweet! The saag paneer was okay leaning good. I thought the curry itself was really good and smooth, but the paneer wasnt as soft as id like it to be. I also only got two cubes of it but I just put some of the lamb into it and that ended up being pretty tasty.

Delicious lunch find in Fidi. I've been craving Indian food and all of the spots that I used to go to have closed over the last few years. I came across this spot on Yelp. (Thanks to all who reviewed!) Heft portions. Really reasonably priced. Lunch combos range from $9-$12. The food was delicious and so filling! I got the curry lamb. Sweet tofu. And eggplant side. It came with a naan and a banana (random but appreciated). I'll def be adding this to my regular rotation. Check them out! They've been around for 2 years.

I came here the staff here is wonderfully warm and inviting, and the restaurant is kept beautifully clean. I tried the Chana & tikka with the chia ‍‍‍‍‍, and From your seat, you can watch the chefs in the open kitchen, lovingly preparing fresh but I don't suggest that you take the naan, switch it with rice. The menu offers a delightful array of dishes, ensuring there's something to suit every palate. I discovered this charming spot in FiDi for lunch, and it was truly a treat. It's a obave avarge Indian cuisine, one of my favorite places have

It's ok .... Felt like a I was in India for a few minutes. As you can see my dish was very hearty.. Basmati Rice, Curry Lamb and lentils. The ambience wasn't great and food tasted a bit bland but the spice was there. However they had tables to sit and enjoy your meal if you decide to stay. I'll be back.

This place is bomb will be back. So flavorful and the price is rice. Getting free naan and rice for the lunch special is a nice touch. So many Indian places in NY but some of them are oddly bland. This place is not, it's awesome. I was pleasantly surprised and not expecting this for FiDi. Try the fried cauliflower. It feels like chicken and it's slightly spicy and tangy which I didn't expect but loved.

Really good lunch combo value for $12. Tried their combo #4 for lunch after reading reviews. (Note that their combo 4 says goat or fish, but a chicken dish is also an option. This place also treats tofu as a vegetable, which is nice.) Ended up getting: -Chicken Tikka Masala -Chili Tofu -Vegetable Korma -Naan -Small apple Good flavors overall, especially on the chili tofu. The flavors/spice on everything else were maybe a little muted. The bread was a little over done, but can't complain. They didn't overstuff the container with rice like other places. They were nice and even put sauce on their own on top of the rice. The meal also came with a really small apple. I think they'd be fine to lose the fruit if they had to do any cost-cutting. For the amount of food, I'd come back for sure. Hopefully the menu rotates a little bit. Everything else in the area outside of halal carts is $15+ for lunch.

It's a humble looking place however the hospitality and the food is fit for a Queen. Raj calls EVERYONE "boss " and treats them as such. Proportions are adequate and tasty. They offer sauces and dishes for you to try. It's not in my normal everyday route but it was a delight to go there by happenstance.

I need to mention that they have approx 5 tables of various sizes. I sat, cause I was on a break from a meeting nearby. I welcomed the chance to sit and enjoy my meal. But be prepared for a line, a loooong line at that, especially during the lunch rush, in front of you as you eat.

I caught this place as it was closing. It is buffet style where you walk in and select your meats and comes with standard naan and rice . I got what I initially thought was chicken sagg and the chicken tikka . The food along with a drink was a smidge over ten dollars. A heck of a deal I thought at first especially when the place is rated so highly on Yelp this far. The disappointment came in at first bite . The rice was old ish . Gobbling up a spoon of the sagg I realized it was infact ,tofu instead of chicken . A small let down and I felt the guy at the counter could've pointed that out at ordering time . The bigger letdown however was the texture of the sagg . It could've been a little thicker in consistency . Flavor wise it just wasn't there either after comparing it against some of my favorite Indian spots . The worst thing was yet to come though . Dry and unappetizing is Howie describe the chicken tikka . The chicken was either over cooked or sitting out for a very long time . This was the worst I've ever had. I almost threw away my food right then and there . Just as I was about to stand up and slam dunk the food into the bin , the guy at the counter asked me ,"how was the food.". Not wanting to cause a stir , I said it was good and placed the food in my backpack. As I got around the corner to the nearest bin it was dispatched. The best part of my meal was my free soda unfortunately . I will not return here despite the luring prices but if you're looking for a cheap eat and catch them early they might be a better eat.

After an hour of waiting for our food, the three tables around us who arrived after us already got their food and were nearly done with their meal. We ask about this twice, and each time the owner says all three tables "pre-ordered" their food. I was confused and asked every table if this was true and obviously it was not. Before leaving, we confront the owner about the inconsistencies in his story, but he just double downs on his lie, alleging that we don't understand how a restaurant is run. For some reason, he even started to yell at the busgirl who was trying to get him to apologize? In addition to holding us hostage for an hour and continued lying, he tries to make the racist point that Indian food is more sophisticated and takes longer to prepare than other types of Asian food. I feel there are certain standards in the NYC service industry given the competition, and this was a confusing and unacceptable experience. The food was admittedly good, but not good enough for them to have the attitude they had.

We finally got to try it out and I really loved the beautiful design, elaborate lighting and nostalgic pictures inside. Even the bathrooms were tastefully decorated to match the very Indian theme. Amritsari Chole Tikka Murgh malai tikka Mutton sukka with butter naan and garlic naan Achari chicken with basmati rice Rabdi with lychee. Everything was beautifully presented and had so much flavor. The butter naan and mutton were some of my favorites. I am not someone that can handle a lot of spice and I found the food very spicy but I had to eat it because it was so good. My friends are Asian and seemed fine with the spice level. The rabdi dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. This was so creamy and delicious. I would return just for this dessert alone. The only shortcoming were the drinks. They looked very cool but the flavors were just not good. The delicious food and ambiance made up for the drinks. However, we never really got to it, having been busy exploring the Semmas and Bungalows of the city. On a cold Saturday evening my partner and I decided to give Indian Accent a shot - got rather last minute reservations over the phone. They were kind enough to accommodate us for a 7 pm slot, and once we got there we were seated immediately. We chose the four course menu, and found each course to be better than the one before! The shorba (soup) and garlic kulcha amuse bouche was a nice touch to get things started - loved the tiny terracotta mugs. Proceeded onto the shakarkandi chaat and the chilly pork roti - the former reminding me of the delectable street food in Delhi winters with the latter being a very good Indian rif on birria tacos. The star of the show for me was the Tofu medu vada - so unique and flavorful and melt in the mouth! I've not had anything quite like it before. My partner had the wagyu kebab that he said was excellent! For mains we had the chicken malai and the paneer - both tasty, but by this point we were already so full, and had to get most of the mains to go. But because there's always room for dessert, for our final course we scarfed down doda barfi with ice-cream and sticky toffee banana pudding - both of which were finger licking delish! Our service was great too - Ty our server was so nice and had the best recommendations. I'd have never gone for the tofu medu vada among all the other options and he urged me to, and it really turned out to be the highlight of my meal. The cocktails were good too. All in all, I think this is such a nice upscale Indian dining spot for a night out in the city. Having tried most of the other trending newer spots, i think Indian Accent sits right among the top! I'd highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!
