Got a quick dinner here with my daughter on Thursday night. We were there around 7:30 and although many of the restaurants that Chelsea market were closing, this one was still open. We we ordered butter, chicken, garlic, garlic, naan, and a mango lassi and all of it was very good. The restaurant is attractive and they also have groceries and food products as well. I would go back if in the area, and the garlic naan hit the spot! Service was quick as well, and the portion size was very good

Tried this place inside Chelsea Market, and wow -- talk about an Indian snack paradise! The menu is massive -- we were both amazed and a little confused (in the best way possible). But honestly, it felt great to see so many authentic options under one roof. I ordered the Bombay Paneer Frankie, and it was exactly the taste I'd been craving -- perfectly spiced, loaded with masala, and full of that proper desi flavor kick. We also tried the Paneer Khurchan Momos, and they were just chef's kiss -- hot, flavorful, and totally reminded me of Indian street-style momos. They even sell little grocery-style goodies like Indian tea packets, Maggi, and Lays -- a total nostalgia moment as an ambeince. Prices are decent, service is quick, and overall, I genuinely loved the experience. Safe to say, I'll be back here soon for round two of my Indian street food cravings!

I'm so happy and proud to recommend this place to everyone! Whenever I have visited Indian place in the top notch American surrounding, food seem to loose its charm, they make it mild and doesn't remind me home. However, this place changed this. Food is really tasty. Thali: It has the BEST daal. This is spicy and perfect, just like home. I never thought that such a simple dish will be focus of my review but here we are. If you're craving for simple daal rice. This is your place. My soul was happy . Thali had butter chicken, naan , sweet and rice too. Everything was good. Paneer Kathi roll: Again, delicious. There was lots of paneer marinated in green sauce. Perfect spices. Some raw onion gives nice crunch. Kachori chaat : Another surprisingly good dish. So what is different than others - they are using their own masala to sprinkle which is spicy and gives amazing kick. Chaat's soul is its chutney. Both sweet and hot chutney are perfect and that why chaat is so good. I think all chaat items will have this and it will elevate every dish here ! Service was good. There was only one attendant. I'm generally very patient and don't fuss when I see just one person tackling. But she made sure our table was clean and greeted us very well. This place has limited seating. It has really cool vintage aesthetics and vice !!!

Must try: Maggi, Dahi Sev Puri, and Magic Masala Fries! Why: Never had Indian Street Food and now I'm hooked! Maggi (Indian Noodles) surprised me - simple and tasty! Also, it was filling. Magic Masala Fries were slightly crispy with a nice kick of red chili sriracha and chaat masala seasoning. Dahi Sev Puri with sweet yogurt was dessert-like. Enjoyed the entire spread. Notes: I came on a Friday after work before dinner crowd and it wasn't too packed. Was able to order quickly and the worker was friendly and helpful. She helped me narrow down what I wanted since I wanted to try everything. They have side wall bar seating and large table seating. Neat decor and art displayed on walls. Definitely coming back to try more!

I was visiting New York and stumbled across the Chelsea Market. Inside was Chote Miya, an Indian restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the dish but it was chicken-based. It was good with the sauce, although a little dry. I also ordered butter naan but it seemed overcooked and not as flavorful as I expected. All in all, a very cute spot and I appreciated the amble seating compared to the other restaurants.

I've been here a few times and it's always delicious and perfect for any Indian street food cravings. This time I got the sandwich combo, which was a spicy chicken sandwich, masala, fries, and water or soda. I also got the chili which I've been craving since I left India a couple of months ago. Everything was incredible and delicious, and this has become a recommendation of mine when people are in the area!

If you're at Chelsea Market, there's a gem called Chote Miya right inside. If you're craving quick Indian food (kinda like street food) this is the place to go! The interior is decked out with a retro Bollywood 80's kinda feel but the food is great. The chicken roll and paneer roll was good, has a good kick to it with the chutney. Overall it's pretty good food. It's easy to hold and carry. The chicken is eh but the game changer is the paneer roll. They also have products to sell like Bru coffee, maggi, and bhel puri. For a reasonable price ~$10 it's filling.

It was time for a snack! Chote Miya is located inside Chelsea Market. It a small brightly colored Indian cafe. The music was blaring and hard to give an order. After perusing the menu we chose Chana masala Kathi roll. Meals are made to order. The roll came out. The roll consists of a wheat paratha filled with mint and coriander chutney with Chana masala and rolled like a burrito. It definitely had a kick to it. It was flavorful and somewhat spicy. We did move and sit away from the speaker. Food = 5 Atmosphere = 3.5 Staff = 4

This is from the same house, Jimmy Rizvi's Bungalow 101 and GupShup.. we were exploring Chelsea market and saw this... though we just had lunch at Pier 57, but could not stop myself from trying at least one dish. The menu draws inspiration from Bombay's renowned street food scene, Variety in the menu, from street food to kababs & biryanis to momos, and their Indian version of Chicken over rice or samosa (My fav) I ordered Lamb Boti. Small mutton pieces (Glad, that 'smell' was not there), not rubbery, well cooked with semigravy... good taste... I wanted to try more, Ambiance: it's mainly a grab-n-go kinda restaurant but also has common tables and high chairs. Tables could be dirty sometimes as it's on patrons to take care of their stuff after eating so at times it could be not cleaned. - Nice decor though, old rustic look of Bombay. It has another location in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

I've had my fair share of butter chicken but this place makes it so yummy and delicious, the spices is so well balanced. I love the garlic and butter naan, I wish I could have a whole stack of it! My friends got the fries which were seasoned packed, very yummy too. The service was friendly, but they were kinda busy.

What a wonderful spot to get some Indian Street food! It was my second time here and introduced my husband and his mom to it. Hubby loved his chicken taka tak taco, and kept telling me how delicious it was with the pickled onion & pepper. I had a butter chicken special with naan. Service was fast and got seated fairly quickly on a Friday 12:30 time. Would definitely go back again

There aren't many stalls I would go out of my way to visit at Chelsea Market, and Chote Miya is no different. I do appreciate the variety in cuisines and the space is quite colorful and unique. There is a good mix of foods in the menu, including street food favorites, kebabs, biryanis, and burgers so it's a great option for someone with dietary restrictions. I stopped by for something to drink and also a pani puri ($10) to share. They had Culture Pop ($4 ea) which is one of my favorite drinks so that was a plus. But the pani puri came out to only six pieces and were barely halfway filled with anything at all. The shells felt especially crispy because they were so empty. Maybe I've been spoiled with the quality of pani puri and fuschka out in Jackson Heights because these were a giant disappointment. The pani puri water was very herbaceous with a slight kick at the end which I did enjoy, but would prefer if it were a tiny bit sweeter.

    Chote Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Aneesa M.

The batter on the fried chicken sandwich was too heavy and the bun was SO greasy. We ended up eating the chicken with a fork and knife. Fries were good though. I'd come back and try the vada pav (it was sold out that day)

Imagine if you will, service so incompetent, so devoid of anything close to positive customer…read moreservice that you wind up leaving a restaurant angry about the experience. That sums up my visit to Pariwaar Delights this week. Pariwaar certainly puts on a good face. Sandwich boards outside promise delicious food. The interior is beautifully decorated with modern lighting, furniture and unusual cutlery. At first things seemed okay. My partner and I were seated quickly because...well, we were only one of two whole parties in the place (but it was Sunday evening so read into that what you will). We had seen a sign outside for a Mutton Biriyani, but on the menu they only listed goat. So here's where the initial confusion began. Depending on where you are, Mutton and Goat are not necessarily the same thing. Mutton can refer to sheep while Goat is well...goat. In some restaurants however, the two can be used interchangeably. So when we started to order, we mentioned the mutton and the waiter (who barely spoke above a whisper and had a deer in the headlights look the entire time) kept saying "goat". We went back and forth three times. He could have easily just said "Here goat *is* mutton" but he never did. After that back and forth, we ordered several dishes including the Indian Masala Wings as an appetizer and the Goat Mandi. This is important to my tale. Within 10-15 minutes some of our food came out including garlic naan, sesame naan and chaan masala. All of this was good, but as we ate we began to wonder where our other dishes were. So we ate and then we waited. We waited a half hour. During that time, the waiter never checked on us. Indeed, at times both the waiter and the host/cashier just disappeared into the kitchen for five to ten minutes at a time. When I finally got their attention, I asked them where our Goat Mandi and Masala wings were. For some bizarre reason, they thought we asked for the Goat Mandi to go (we never said the words "to go" when we ordered) and they claim we never ordered the wings (I asked for the wings three times). I told them we'd take the dish to go along with our leftovers. At that point I just wanted to get out of there. I'm not even going to go into detail on the food. Overall, the food was good but definitely overpriced. These were Manhattan prices in Hoboken. It's not worth having to deal with horrible service and okay food.

We came here shortly after their opening after waiting in great anticipation for about a year. I'm giving one extra star just for the benefit of the doubt because they just opened, or maybe I ordered the wrong things. The menu is not very vegetarian-friendly. Samosa chaat was lacking in yogurt and tamarind sauce. Very heavy on the chickpeas. Paneer makhani biryani was just lots of dry rice, dry paneer, lacking flavor. We barely touched it. There were items on the menu we asked for that they didn't have. Their prices are a bit high for basically fast-food quality. There is a 4% cash discount btw. The owner seemed very nice and earnest. I think they should include some more universally enjoyed Indian staples on the menu just to get more people in the door, and then people will venture into the mandi and biryani. Best of luck.

Knowing that, we were still craving some dosas after a fun and productive weekend. The Onion Rava Masala Dosa is my go-to and I could not resist trying that alongside the mango lassi. The mango lassi wasn't too special, but it helped quench the thirst a bit. The dosa itself has its good and bad moments: 1) The masala (potatoes) , which was atypically on top of the dosa, was honestly pretty tasty. Great quantity too. 2) The chutney was good, but perhaps a pretty large quantity. I had a hard time finishing it. 3) The sambar was good and the right quantity. However, it did have a pretty good kick to it. Fortunately, the chutney helped offset that. 4) The dosa itself was a slight bit disappointing, but with some important caveats. I felt the batter needed the onions marinated in it a bit more. Felt like the onions were kinda added to the top of the batter, leaving an uneven taste across the dosa. It did feel a bit dry at times due to the lack of onion. Red onion - while sometimes a necessity - doesn't hit the same as white onion with these dosas. I wasn't able to finish the entire dosa. Now the important caveat is that this is a mall outlet and you don't have the luxuries of other South Indian establishments, especially in the suburbs near me. As a result, I don't think this is a bad place to grab dosas or get your South Indian fix. It just won't be my absolute best dosa place.
