My boyfriend and I stopped here right before going to the beach and the food was so good. We got…read morethe bacon avocado Cesar salad with sweet potato tots. As well as the chicken vodka sandwich with fries. Both meals were delicious and the sauce with the fries is a MUST try. Sweet potato tots were amazing along with the salad. Service was also nice and helpful to any questions we had about the menu. Lastly, the little make your own lemonade/tea bar was fun.

I asked the cashier several questions about the menu, combo options, and the app, and she was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I ordered the Roast Cubano with hand-cut fries and a soda. The portion was generous and easily large enough to share. The sandwich was flavorful, featuring mustard aioli, pickles, ham, Havarti cheese, and pork. The bread was especially delicious--perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside while still soft on the inside. The fries and dipping sauce weren't my favorite, but the sandwich more than made up for it. Since we had our dog with us and wanted to continue enjoying the festival, we ate outside. The staff even brought our food out to us, which was appreciated. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked fresh and made with quality ingredients. I'd definitely return to try more menu items, though I'd probably skip the fries next time.

OVERALL/WHAT TO KNOW: -Really great Cajun-inspired…read moresandwiches! -Seems like a great, laid-back place to hang out and have lunch (or any meal) with friends -Will definitely go back if I'm in the area! ARRIVAL: -Got to-go orders from here twice in the same week during my lunch break around 3pm. -It was largely empty, there were maybe 2 other people there. -It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was one of the closest places to my work and I thought the menu looked good so I gave it a shot and am glad I did. FOOD/DRINK: -I had the Blackjack Chicken Poboy and the Bogey chicken sandwich. -Both sandwiches were great. Chicken was expertly prepared: not too dry, not too charred (on the blackjack sandwich), not greasy from being fried (on the bogey sandwich), delicious seasoning. -All the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, including the seeded rolls. More than that, all the ingredients worked really well together. The sauce on each sandwich complimented each preparation of chicken perfectly. The lettuce and tomato were not thrown on incidentally either (as they often are with sandwiches). They rounded out the flavors and textures in a way where the sandwich would not have been nearly as good without them. -I was tempted to get the fries, but I thought the sandwiches were an ideal lunch option on their own: filling, fair portions, great price for the quality, not too heavy, and delicious. SERVICE: -At both visits, there was a friendly man behind the bar that took my order and promptly brought me my food when it was ready. ATMOSPHERE/LAYOUT: -The vibe is of a laid-back sports bar combined with a diner. There is tons of vintage sports memorabilia on the walls and a large tv behind the bar. There are more tables and booths than bar space or high tops, which is what makes it feel a bit more like a diner.

They also to my surprise, sell Beef Tallow and item to check out if you have not used. There are a small variety of packaged breads and a few bread rolls located near the register. The sweet young lady behind the counter was helpful. As I'd had an appointment in the area, on a somewhat warm day and she kept the meat in the fridge until I got back. I made a meatloaf with the meats and it was delicious. A place to stop by when in the area.

The store has no life inside, it's depressing. The shelves have minimal products which are overpriced. The grab and go dinners only had 2 choices available, so sad. Store made frozen pasta is available. Fresh meat is available, looked good but expensive. Salted cod was $21 a pound, why? There's a full array of salads in the front showcase which showed some promise but too expensive. No other customers in the store and it was lunch time. The quiche we bought had plenty of cheese and tasted good heated up despite the bottom crust being underbaked. I think that Uncle Giuseppe's sucked away business from Gemelli which used to be the only high end Italian market around.
