So, when my wife googled the restaurant it said, "discover Casa De Amore in Tamarac, Fl serving…read moreauthentic Italian cuisine with a cozy atmosphere" so we went into it thinking is was going to be an upscale Italian restaurant. If you've been there then imagine my surprise when I got there lol. Pulled up to the restaurant. It was in a nice little plaza. The sign needs some tlc as one of the letters is falling off. Walked in and the layout is nice, the decor feels like a blend of 80's Miami vibes going for elegance. Looks better in pictures but still works in real life. We were greeted right away, host brought us to the wrong part of the restaurant first then brought us back to where we were supposed to sit. Server showed up quick enough and was very nice. Asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We said we just want regular water, they brought out two bottles of Evian ($10 a pop) we were a party of 6. He took our drink orders, the drinks did take a while. The bread came out and most of really liked the bread, it was like Hawaiian rolls with some butter and Parmesan cheese. One in our party wasn't a fan. But don't listen to her they were good haha. Our appetizers were good, bao buns, cracked conch, chicken wings. Here is where the stars dropped a little more. They dropped partially for time the drinks took and the bottled water. But we looked through the menu which is not authentic Italian. It's a blend of Italian dishes, Jamaican dishes, Haitian dishes (that's not what dropped the stars) the prices for the items. Some dishes were reasonably priced, others were highly over priced. My wife got Alfredo pasta at $24 and added the lobster. They were generous with the lobster and only charged an extra $20 for it. I got the Rasta pasta $24 and added chicken $6 The Alfredo was fine, the lobster was good. My pasta however was all over the place. The pasta was completely overcooked so it was a little mushy, the peppers and onions were thrown in at the end so they were uncooked. The chicken was a little dried out and the jerk wasn't hot. The sauce did have a good taste, I did eat it all and I didn't not complain about it. It's a dish I would try again but if it came out like that again I'd send it back. Our friends got the scampi pasta and it was good they said. One got lobster and mashed potatoes $65, another got the salmon $42which she woofed down. One issue we had at the table involved the music. When someone is celebrating a birthday the dj jams a birthday song a louder volume, but he does the entire song and then doesn't turn the music back down to a regular level. So people had to ask a few times to turn the music back down so we could all hear ourselves. So here is the overall The restaurant is in a nice spot It's decorated nicely The staff was very pleasant (could use some improvements) Food all had good flavor (but quality control needs to be worked on) Prices are pushing it Would we go again? Yes. Would we recommend it to others? Yes. I wish them a bunch of continued success. One last thing that we didn't like. Our server mentioned to us when he dropped the checks that a service charge was included. I'm used to that, but what got me was he said part of it goes to the restaurant some of it goes to me, so it's not actually a tip and there is an additional tip line if you'd like to add something. Unless it's a banquet, the restaurant should not receive any of the service charge. That should go to the server and the regular tip out to their bartenders and bussers as is normal should be the way it is. The house should not get any part of it.

The stir-fry is also very delicious and prepared to your liking, as is the omelet station at the Sunday brunch. Very delicious! There is an abundant selection of delicious desserts, and the Belgian waffle station on Sundays is an. additional treat! I will add that your server will pack your prime rib in a foil bag so you can take it home and enjoy the rest of the buffet.Thank you, Luxe, for that! We have always experienced very welcoming and polite service from the receptionist to the persons behind the grilling stations and to the servers, all of whom have been welcoming and polite. I would like to extend a special thank you to Ana who has been our server on our many occasions at Luxe and has always been so very polite, helpful, friendly, pleasant, and bi-lingual, always an asset in South Florida. Whether you go on Thursday night for the Prime Rib Buffet, Friday or Saturday evenings for the dinner buffet, including Prime Rib, or the Sunday Brunch, you will not be disappointed. The food is great, the service great, and the price is right! I would also like to note the lovely ambience of Lux with its pink table covers and electric candles on each table. The background music provides a relaxing atmosphere with classic music from years gone by, so perfect for enjoyable dining. We'll be back soon!

Alexander's consistently puts out good food, good service, and a good vibe. Our server was 'Faith' and she was stellar! One of us got there way too early (like 10 minutes before everyone else) but even camping in her section with just a cocktail she never made us feel uncomfortable or awkward about it. One of us had special requests for her meal, no problem. One of us rolled in 5 minutes AFTER everyone else had arrived and ordered their drinks already, again... no problem. Faith is a superstar. Every dish was perfect, and the huge portions made for an outstanding presentation to the one of us who'd never been here before. Plus! The martini sidecars were a big hit.

We walked in without a reservation, and they were able to accommodate us. It definitely got busy as the evening went on, but the service remained great throughout our meal. Most of us ordered the steak and fries, while a few swapped the fries for baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked well, the fries were amazing, and overall the food was VERY good. We also ordered the artichokes to share. I'm not usually an artichoke fan, but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised! And the dessert... SO GOOD. We had the white chocolate cheesecake, and it was easily one of the highlights. Their whipped cream is made in-house, and you can definitely tell. We also had drinks with dinner and really enjoyed those as well. My only two small critiques were the atmosphere. There was a slight lingering smell inside--not necessarily moldy, but possibly from the humidity and the carpet. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of carpet in restaurants for that reason. We also had one persistent fly that kept making its way around our table and food, which was a little annoying. That said, the restaurant itself appeared clean. One thing I would LOVE to see them add is fresh bread! This just feels like the kind of restaurant that should bring out a basket of warm, fresh bread while you're waiting for your meal. Overall, I'd give the experience about an 8.5-9/10. Great food, great service, delicious dessert, and a nice dinner for our first night in town. I would definitely come back!

I'm really disappointed. I brought my husband for brunch (weekend lunch? I'm not sure what they…read morecall it) and it started out really well! Our server, Maria, was very sweet and the service in general saved them a star. (I really wish we could do half stars, I'd call it 2.5) Our first bites of everything were really good! Then the remaining bites were extremely overcooked. When someone came by with something that was clearly/visibly overcooked to my taste, I'd turn it down and explain it was too done for me (they were in the well-done temperature, I prefer medium rare, but I'm okay with medium if that's the only option), and request my preferred temperature. The reviews I'd seen mentioned that they would actually ask for your preference in the beginning of the meal; no one did, but I assumed that was just because of opening shuffle and volunteered it. Still, aside from that first round, set after set of very-well-done food was brought by. My husband loves beef ribs (that was actually the deciding factor between Chima and another option we considered), but even that was underwhelming. In fact, it quickly became gross when my normally-classy-and-attractive mate became a magician by reaching into his mouth and pulling out a fat or sinew or something 6-8" long, all the way from his throat. (No, I do not in fact know how it made it that far- maybe I should talk to him about thoroughly chewing his food.) The cheese and honey, and the grilled pineapple, were both a nice end to an otherwise disappointing food experience. A manager came by three times to do a general table touch; the first was before any of the meat had come, the second was after the first round of food (which was the good round), and the last was at the very end. Maybe I should have said something to him then, at the end, but at that point I was sort of over it and I didn't want to seem like an annoying person that is after discounts or freebies. Fortunately, the bathroom does have very good floss picks. I went a few times after getting dry steak in my teeth. If you're curious about parking- valet sign said $12, but as we were there a few minutes before opening we didn't see the attendant and realized there was street parking right in front of us. (Took a while to set up the pay-by-phone account, but we put it for 2 hours and spent $6.) At least around noon on weekends, it seems street parking is abundant if that's what you prefer.

I came here for a birthday with a large party and they were able to accomodate us on a Tuesday night with a reservation. I didn't know that they had more than seafood here which was a nice surprise but came here specifically craving crawfish and was super disappointed when they didn't have any. I know that it was a random weekday night, plus there was a lot of us but it was a bummer for some of the group wanting seafood. As the night went on and a few more people came in, they ran out of most of the seafood in general and the latecomers had to change their order three times because of the things they ran out of. They have a "boiled & bagged" option where you choose seafood, your flavor, spice level and add on any extras like potatoes or corn. Since there was no crawfish, I got shrimp with their Aloha Crab Special Blend (described as tangy, bold and full of flavor) which is similar to special sauce at any seafood spot, with medium spice and added 2 potatoes. When it arrived, it wasn't bagged which is fine but non-traditional to what I'm used to. They gave gloves and had a good portion (1lb as described) but the flavor was just okay in comparison to other spots and the sauce was also very watery. Overall, it was okay but I probably wouldn't order the seafood here again. Other people who got the regular dishes said they were pretty good so I might try those if I visit a next time. This spot also has karaoke which I heard they only do on specific nights but if you know the people who work there, they allow you to karaoke whenever. They pulled out the karaoke for this night but it was mostly just Vietnamese songs which is fine because that was the crowd that was there. Overall, still a cool place if you have a large party but interested to see how the other food options are if I visit again.

We arrived around 11 PM on a Friday and the place had great energy. It was lively without feeling overwhelming, and a few tables looked like they were celebrating special occasions, which added to the vibe. The music was excellent and honestly brought back a bit of that nostalgic, high school party feel in the best way. We ordered a couple of drinks and they were definitely strong and well made. The service stood out just as much as the atmosphere. The owner was incredibly pleasant and attentive, checking in with us several times to make sure we were taken care of. You could tell she genuinely cared about the guests. I also learned the owners are Trini and Guyanese, which I loved because it added a nice personal touch to the experience. As a first time visitor, I really appreciated that she thanked us for coming when we left. It made the experience feel welcoming and personal. I'll definitely be back to try the food. As a vegetarian, I'm hoping to make a special request since there aren't many Chinese vegetarian options on the menu, but I'm confident they'll accommodate it. We left after 1 AM and people were still coming in, so it's clearly a popular late night spot. Great location right off University with plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient.
