Trying a new AYCE sushi spot here in Jax. Quite a drive for us. We usually do Miya or Fuji but judging by the photos we saw they are not the same as the other options in town. Slightly smaller menu but different option for sushi rolls and sashimi. Hibachi choices are done well. Better than competition, in my opinion. Same price point as others also. Friendly waiters, but orders take a little longer to hit the table in comparison. No seat number, so dishes are just placed on the table for you to sort out. If I happen to be craving sushi and I am in the area, I would stop by and try again. read more

I tried Rainbow Sushi and overall was impressed. The service was a little slow, we had to ask several times for refills on our drinks. The air conditioner must have been broken because they had the front and rear doors of the restaurant open but it was still uncomfortable inside. Gone here twice now both times have left without all my food coming out. I ordered regular fried rice twice and both times it didn't come out. Second time we had three orders not come out. The sashimi is really poor cuts. And sushi rolls were kinda bland overall. The kitchen is ridiculously slow we got there at 5 when they opened and waited 50 minutes for the food to come out. Me and my friend were experiencing bad service, didnt tip our server as we were leaving and headed to the car he ran out the building and followed us chastising us asking for our receipts back (to my knowledge to write in his own tip) because why do u need those back, i refused to give mine back and he freaked out basically telling us we're banned and to literally never come back obviously i was upset so when we got back into the car i proceeded to call the store to speak with the manager... The food is above average for all you can eat, the crab cheese is very good. Not to pricey for what you get, the music they play is pretty nice, it fits the environment. This place was horrible.. the waiter (who didn't give his name) sat us down and took our drink order, then left to handle other tables for about 10 minutes to only come back and ask for the drink orders again. Then 10 minutes later, he brought out the food for me while the other three in my party didn't receive any food as they sat me watched everyone else get served for 20 minutes. We asked the waiter why we haven't received our food and he says "it's probably back there" and proceeded to the front counter before checking to see if our food was ready. Then he brings the sushi on one plate and says "all the fried sushi is on the plate", we didn't even know whose sushi belonged to who. Yessss! Another great all you can eat sushi place and awesome to see they opened one in Jax beach as well. This is not a typically buffet style all you can eat place. You order from a list of items - typical sushi restaurant stuff like apps, rolls, soups, and hibachi. Everything comes out in small plates. The sushi was fresh and appetizers came out nice and hot. Everything was delivered fast. The only thing they forgot was our miso soup that we ordered, but by the time we realized we were already full. I'm not sure if it was a bad day or what, but the sushi was really not that good. Some of the pieces were abnormally hard... on top of it, I came in with my significant other about 50 minutes before close (I was starving and ready to eat) immediately the host tells us the sushi bar closes in 20 minutes & kitchen 10 minutes before close... I told him that was no problem, it shouldn't take me that long to order sushi, I was hungry! And then asked me if I was sure if could order & eat within that time... I already told the server that it was no problem, now immediately I felt rushed which really wasn't a problem at first until he continued to give attitude. It was our first time there and we were not aware the slips of paper to use. The host/server (I wish I knew his name) came by and rudely said "Do you not know how to order, you use the slips"... My food come out and he doesn't give us anything any sauce or anything, just plain sushi. When the host/service walked by I made eye contact and waved my hand to get his attention and he completely ignored me, almost running over my hand as he walked by, to greet someone picking up... I had to get the attention of a busier and ask for the sauce on the table he was cleaning, in which he apologized and gave me the sauce. He then went to the kitchen and gave us soy sauce since the other guy did not - thank you sir!! Decent for the price for al you can eat . The cucumber salad has less space compared to sushi x (similar menu) they don't have salmon hibachi. Or crab Rangoon. It's called a crab stick . Surprised when that came out . Their fried dishes are pretty crispy and hot . The down side is this place is kinda unorganized . Services takes a long time . Someone you have to flag someone to get your order and then no body to check you out . We had to walk to the desk and still waited to get checked out . (Could have just walked out without paying ) seems like they get their menu messed up often . Been there 2x and always hear another table saying something is wrong with their order . Another all you can eat sushi on Beach Blvd. I love the fact that rolls come in 4-5 pieces per order so you get to try a lot of variety. Sashimi is only offered on sunday or dinner which is a bummer. We always have big lunch and wish you can pick the deluxe dinner any time we want. read more

I came here after working a 12 hour shift as a nurse. I asked the price of the all-you-can eat vs ordering off the menu for take-out. I was not too hungry, and the man said it was $21 (something like that), so I thought about it for a few moments and opted just to dine in even though I was not very hungry. The man said there were no tables and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. I was hesitant but said that I would because I just wanted to sit down, relax, and eat a good meal after a long day at work. There were four seats on the end of the bar, but he seated me in the middle seats close to another customer, two chairs down by the wall. I don't know why he didn't seat me at the far other end because every server kept running into my chair and nobody said "excuse me". I thought maybe because I had my coat over the chair so I then moved my coat to the empty seat next to me hoping that maybe people would quit running into my chair. The same guy from up-front, who seated me, asked me if I wanted something to drink. I asked for water. He never brought me the water. I sat there for ten minutes before a server came up to me. Nobody explained anything about how to order. I saw a pen and some paper and assumed I am supposed to write down the number that corresponds with the food on the menu. Then another staff member came to me and said, "that couple wants to sit here, so you'll have to move down". Are you kidding me? He then picked up my wallet and belongings and moved them. When the couple came in, who stole my seat, the man who made me move was so pleasant and helpful to them. He greeted them, asked if they had ever eaten here before, explained how the menu works, etc. They did not explain anything to me, so I ended up ordering the wrong sushi rolls. Guess what? Then I had to eat them because these people want to charge .50 per piece. I don't like that they do this. Sometimes a person orders something and doesn't like it. If we are paying for "all you can eat" prices, the owners should give some latitude on this rule. I can understand if customers are being completely wasteful, but come on. This is similar to a buffet and we should not be required for at everything When another customer was leaving, and he ran into my chair and didn't say "excuse me". What is up with people bumping into the back of my chair and not acknowledging that they did so?! I'm not a big person where I had the chair pulled out too far. Five minutes after I was seated they had plenty of tables open. I left there in a bad mood because I was not treated right but some of the staff. The servers were nice but the owners(?)/managers(?) were rude. I still did not take it out on my server. My check was around $22-$23 and I tipped $9. I'm not much for sushi so I can't really comment, but they have a good selection of hibachi items and tempura and rice and noodles. Sushi is great... everything else is just okay. We ordered off the lunch menu and we really appreciated the range of options. The sushi was fresh and delicious but the kitchen items were sub-par. Really didn't enjoy any of it other than the shrimp tempura. I loved the all-you-can-eat concept but the service really needs work. While the waiters are polite, they did not offer us any refills until we asked for them. My friend didn't get her orders for over 20 mins and when she asked for them the waiter looked at his watch (hinting that lunch would be over soon). I will give them the benefit of the doubt because I think they were very understaffed for a busy lunch time. Stick to the sushi you won't be disappointed. read more

Food was great but we had to wait over 30 minutes for our check when we were pretty clearly finished with our food with no sheets filled out. There wasn't even someone at the front and most employees were in the back, so we're not going to be disrespectful and get up and walk to the back just for our checks. So we waited a long time and we never got asked, so we just ended up having to stop out waiter when we finally saw him to ask if he can give us our checks. Not only that, but he never came back out to take our cards, so we had to ask the guy who seemed to be the manager to take ours and he didn't ask as well; we had to. Don't waste your money. This is the most limited menu for all you can eat sushi. When we came, their drink machine was broken and they were having problems with their kitchen to the point that they began turning away customers due to "problems with kitchen equipment" yet they still seated us and one other family. I overheard one of the staff say "don't say the water is broken" as if to cover up the fact that they could not get fresh water. I was still served water with my food which I assume came from the bathroom because I overheard the waiter say "agua... baño" to the the "sushi chefs" that were speaking Spanish... major red flag if you ask me. Also to second previous reviews mentioning they never got items they ordered, the same thing happened to me... We didn't even get separate plates to use aside from the ones that came with items ordered. I used my napkin as a plate..... seriously don't bother. read more
