Met up with a few past coworkers and this was a good middle ground to meet. We shared a few appetizers, the seasonal salad was a favorite of mine and a few pizzas. All very good. Staff was attentive throughout our meal but gave us space to chat. Fun place for all occasions- family, kids, work and pleasure. Not too loud and very comfortable big booths. We were on the other side of the restaurant and couldn't see the pizzas going into the oven but saw kids watching. They had a local ice cream cart which was offering samples, scoops for purchase along with pints. I bought the mint and baklava- so amazing! Not a flavor you come across. Great food and beer but the waitress had blah interaction with customers and was more concerned with clearing the table than paying attention to what was going on and actually cleared away unfinished beverages. Huge restaurant with a cozy feel. I've been to Rail Trail 3 times in the past couple of months for takeout, but enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar while I waited. The bartenders were professional, friendly and attentive. My favorite flatbread is a pepperoni and sausage with crushed tomatoes, and mixed cheese blend. I usually add an order on boneless buffalo chicken on the side. If seated facing the ovens, I get a nice show watching the pizza being prepared and cooked. read more

I finally made the trekk from Hudson to Milford to see first hand what the "big deal" was... YEA its a BIG DEAL! ITS HUGE! Loaded with so many details - like ample parking, an event room, very detail-oriented decor. Homages to Teddy and a huge bar! Not only one oven, but TWO! I'm sure that with RTFB in the heart of Milford, magic will happen and new businesses will come. The menu has a lot of the Hudson favorites and some local additions. Being there on mothers day was special. I should have listened to my son, however and shared his breakfast roll! Portions are huge and should be shared (or not eat for the rest of the day). I have to admit the steak and eggs caught me by surprise. The meat was more prepared like a "barbacoa" style, and I'm normally not a fan, but this interpretation had a lovely flavor accentuated by a delicate hand on hollandaise. Over a grilled jalapeno cornbread (and those who know me know I HATE jalapeno cornbread... and this almost converted me! It was good!). Parking and location: great parking lot in the back. Easy to get into and out. Location is central to Milford and has a great outdoor space Service: staff is exceedingly friendly and polite. They're very knowledgeable about the ingredients and are willing to make accommodations. Food: absolutely amazing. We had their sweet potato hummus for an appetizer and was blown away. The red bell pepper sauce that came with the hummus really kicking the flavor up a notch and I loved all the dried fruits and nuts that were on the plate. My wife and I always spend our Sunday Brunch with Jess at the Rail Trail and my wife has fallen in love with the Birria Benedict. I have tried many items and some are great and some are good but I've never had a bad meal. Jess makes the experience that much better with her great service and at this point she knows our orders before we even place them. Been to the Hudson location multiple times. So been waiting to try this one since it's more local to us! Absolutely amazing experience! Great beer and cocktail selection plus the food is incredible. Obviously known for the flatbreads, the steak and cheese and Mexican street corn are must-try's. One of our friends got the burger and now I want to try that too! Parking is difficult in this area, so was also a plus to have the lot in the back side. Definitely recommend making a reservation but we also only had a short wait going in around 5:00 on a weekend.
