We had a great dinner. The restaurant was super crowded but we were seated quickly. The prime rib was amazing.

In Florence for business several times a year, and this town has little to offer that isn't a chain restaurant. Of all of them though I have to say Raffertys does a pretty great job. It's got lots of seating. The service has always been great. The servers have always been very considerate, proposing options like whether id like the steak topping on the side, or pointing out customizations that they see other patrons enjoying, etc. I usually have a steak, and it's always cooked to my liking. Topping options like blue cheese butter are really tasty. . The ceasar salad is also well prepared. Other guests I've dined with have also had only good experiences. Just wanted to say my wife and I had an excellent meal at Rafferty's last night. Their honey-mustard hot bacon salad dressing is a revelation and both salads overall were spot on. I was visiting my home state of KY and was so excited to eat at my favorite restaurant, Rafferty's. I had never eaten at the Florence location, but assumed they were all equally as great. I ordered a Pina Colada, requested the smooth ice cream version. My waiter (Justin) brings my drink, and after taking a drink, discovered huge ice chunks. When Justin came back to our table, I let him know it had been made w ice instead of ice cream.. Totally different drink! His response was an immediate, curt, "No it wasn't.". Point #1: the drink was made wrong. I've had this drink both ways, there's a distinct difference. Point #2: really? You're going to snap at/argue with a customer? Not impressed. Walked to this restaurant from across the street from the hotel we were staying. Went for an early dinner, seated right away. Our waiter was a very friendly gentleman, very professional. We ordered some wine as well as our meal right away. I started with a dinner salad with blue cheese dressing. Loved all the bacon bits in the salad. Then I had their prime rib, smaller cut, medium rare. It may have been smaller, but it was quite filling. Also had their broccoli. It was a very good meal at a very reasonable price. I stay at the hotel across the street a lot, so I will be back to try other items on the menu. Nice place! read more

I have been to this location many times and this is the first time I've really been disappointed. Picked up takeout and when I got home, opened it up and my Med-Rare steak was cooked from a frozen block. Dry and 100% cooked through. The baked potato was old and burnt as well. The only good parts were the house salad and dessert. I've never known Raffertys to accept this low of quality in their food and cooking. read more

I noticed they maintaining adequate amount of social distancing and cleaning between customer. Was in town for a couple nights and this place was located in the connected parking lot. Place seemed ok , the patio area was updated and had a atmosphere. Inside was dark and needed a little updates . Booming place for locals I assume food was ok nothing to write home to mom about but was good for what it was. Seemed like prices were a little high if u are getting any kind of pork chop, steak, etc plates are 20 bucks appetizers 15-20 not terrible but when u see the place u dont expect them if it's your 1st time there all and all if your staying at one of the hotels close by stop in for some beer or a great burger or salad . What great service! This is my second time in this establishment and I must say they have their stuff in order. The first time was a to go order and that was quick and delicious meal. Dining in was a totally complete different experience and I must say it was really nice. I was able to not only enjoy a meal but get to know the waitress that was so pleasant and made our whole experience great. The food was prepared well too. I had the salmon and broccoli and my friend had steak with the six cheese sauce and the broccoli. Both were amazing and we ate every bit. The salads are Cobb style. Both were ok. For drinks I got the Rafferty's Long Island Icetea LIT drink and that was very good and strong. Great night out! read more

This was the worst restaurant experience my friend and I had in a long time, mostly due to the terrible service. After waiting 15 minutes for a server to even show up to get our drink orders, a couple people sat down at a table near ours....then the server finally comes over and takes their order before ours. We just wanted water to drink, and she said she'd bring it out right away. So after 10 more minutes, the neighboring table got their food order without their drinks, and we still didn't get our water. The people near us sat for another 10 minutes without their drinks, and were so fed up one of them went to the bartender, who did bring their waters and mixed drink over right away. While he was there, we told him we still hadn't even gotten our water, so he had another server bring that to us. My friend and I waited yet another 20 minutes for our food even after flagging down our original server to ask what was taking so long, since she had taken our order right after our neighbor's, who by this time were almost finished with their meal. When we finally got our food, my friend did not get the type of salad dressing that she had ordered, and my chicken was black on the bottom and very dry. Our server eventually came by to ask if all was ok, and we told her our problems...she said she'd bring out the right salad dressing for my friend, and asked if I'd like a new plate of chicken. I told her I didn't feel like waiting another hour for my food. After almost 15 more minutes, my friend had to go to the kitchen and ask for her salad dressing, as the server didn't come back until it was time for the check. I do have to say that a nice man who may have been a manager came over to apologize and offered to comp my meal, which I refused...but he did bring me a couple of the honey croissants which I didn't get with my meal. When the server finally brought our checks, she tried to be overly nice, but it was too late to make up for her bad attitude and ineptitude. The only thing good about the experience is that we had some laughs with the people at the next table about the terrible service. read more

On this visit they were pretty busy. We were sat immediately; but it took several minutes for the server to greet us. It was another five minutes before our drinks arrived. Our order was taken and it was ten minutes before salads arrived. We've dined here before when they weren't as busy and the service was definitely better on those visits. I write this review some 35 minutes after placing our order and we haven't received our food. Tip to self* pass this place by if there are more than 6 or 8 cars in the lot. Let me start by saying I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants so I didn't have high hopes, but everyone I work with raves about this place. I got something I thought I couldn't go wrong with, a basic burger and fries. Maybe that's where I went wrong, maybe I should have ordered something more extravagant, but I didn't want to pay their prices for something I didn't expect to like. The way the burger is described on the menu, saying things about how it's "fresh" and cooked over wood and things of that sort seem really hard to believe as it had no flavor at all. All I could taste was mustard, which I didn't notice came on it, which IMO, does not belong on a burger. It's too overpowering. The bun was dry, the toppings were nothing special. The one redeeming factor was that the fries were very good. They were very fresh and tasted like they were hand cut, and had just the right amount of salt. My friend got cheese fries and she said they tasted old and soggy, and were flavorless. The one redeeming factor is the fries. If I'm missing something at this place, please tell me. They have a very limited menu, and something as simple as a burger should at least have some flavor for $10. read more

I just spoke with the manager of this restaurant. I had left an email asking about when to arrive, etc. for a birthday dinner for two friends. Rafferty's does not take reservations. The manager took the time to call me on the phone and tell me that he would put us down as a "call on the way." way above and beyond! I will never come here again. Here's a few tips if for some reason this is the only place left on earth and you are forced to come here: 1. When you ask for something and the server goes "what is that?" DO NOT ORDER IT! For example, a skinny margarita, which the server and the bartender had never heard of and put sweet and sour in which was exactly what I was trying to avoid because that stuff is gross. I will admit this one was mostly my fault because I actually thought the bartender was a real bartender and could figure out how to make a skinny margarita. It's 3 ingredients. I was wrong. 2. The Moscow mule is not part of the happy hour and it sucks. I love ginger anything, but this drink tasted like someone put a few drops of ginger oil in a seltzer water. *currently trying to suck this bad boy down as it apparently isn't a part of the happy hour and is $7* 3. I ordered the nachos and they were burnt. When I told the waiter this he just kinda went "yeahhhh do you want another one or just take it off" which gives me the impression that it happens all the time. 4. If you even remotely like good beer don't go here. If you like bud light for a reasonable price at happy hour this might be the place for you. I've been going to Rafferty's consistently for over a decade and I really appreciate the restaurant's versatile menu being one that is always in the position of trying to please multiple indecisive palates on a fairly regular basis. I know some will never give the restaurant it's credit due to being a small regional operation that has multiple locations, but Raferty's manages to do a lot of things pretty well, yet nothing that blows your mind (in terms if quality). I do take special note of heir salads and appetizers - while they aren't incredibly unique, Rafferty's attempts to put their own spin on them by adding ingredients you wouldn't see at other restaurants (especially salads and salad dressings). Service is generally good, although I've had some bad experiences at this particular location, and you can always find something to eat regardless of your mood (unless you are seeking a non-domestic cuisine). It's a solid utility restaurant to have in the rotation in the event you find yourself in this part if town (which is rare for us). read more

Haven't been to Rafferty's for about two years. This one is definitely a good one. Was planning on going to Cracker Barrel but they sat us down and forgot about us, so we went Rafferty's. The salad and dressings were good. The croissant was excellent. I would've gave 5 stars but both steaks were under cooked and my wife's had to be sent back to be cooked longer, I just ate mine, it was almost raw. They did both taste really good though. My daughter really liked the potato soup. Our server Josh was outstanding and we hope to see him again in the future. read more

Amazing food; honestly impressed. Tonight I went here to have dinner with my mom. After driving around town and seeing how busy everything was (Friday night) we decided to stop in Rafferty's since it seemed the less packed. We walked in and received a buzzer with a 5-10 minute wait. The hostesses were very nice and talkative (in a good way) and were trying their best to get people seated quickly. We didn't even wait the 5-10 minutes and got seated within 5 minutes of waiting. We were seated and our waitress came to get us drinks immediately. She was super nice and friendly. I decided to go with the L.I.T (Long Island Ice Tea Jug) and it was very good. My mom just went with a basic drink (aka soda). When the food came out it was QUICK for what we ordered and it was hot, fresh, and so amazing. My mom got the ribs and a baked potato and I got the small prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes and Cesar house salad. The SALAD was so good! I'm not even joking guys, it was the BEST salad i've had in a long time and I eat it frequently. It came with a seasoning they sprinkled on top and it was to die for. My mom loved her ribs and said her food was great too. My prime rib was also impressive! It melted in your mouth and the potato's was a great addition, flavored nicely and also was so good it melted it your mouth. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good steak, hamburger, prime rib, or salads. SO GOOD and the service is on point. You can't pass this place up like I did for so long! read more

Looking for your typical American fare, but tired of places like Applebees (do people still go there?) or Fridays?...give Raffertys a try. Similar menus, but I feel like the quality of food at Raffertys is less mass produced and more individually prepared. Huge salads and my husbands favorite is the club sandwich, which is also fairly large. The dressings are homemade and they have good fries. The cocktails are pretty quality to, good bloody marys. The feel is warm and cozy, reminds me of an 1980's ski chalet (theres even an area of seating near a fireplace) They also have a bar area and lots of tvs for sports watching. Try it the next time you aren't feeling too adventurous but want to go somewhere new. I think you'll be pleased. read more

This was a first timer for us and it was amazing. I love the cabin type of feel that you get entering the restaurant. I tried the Cowboy Sirloin and the steak was cooked perfectly. It came with a baked potato - also delicious - and the house salad that was topped with their honey mustard hot bacon dressing, that was amazing. So glad we got to try this place, definitely will be going back to try other items on the menu. The amount of food that you get is pretty affordable. There is a lot of variety and does have a Cheddars vibe with the type of meals and the croissants that they serve but their food is very very good and the atmosphere is nice. I'm from out of town, staying at a local hotel, this restaurant was suggested by the front desk host at the hotel. I travel 200+ nights a year and eat a lot of meals on the road. This restaurant reminded me of the movie Waiting. The food was not very good. The steak was covered in butter, was tough, not much flavor but the quality of the meat is just poor... The beer was flat. I ordered a Miller Lite, tasted like it was mixed 50/50 with water. I didn't complain but I should have. I would suggest going somewhere else. Not as great as the hotel made it sound, and I'm really surprised it was as busy as it was. read more

Just OK. Reminds us of a late night casino cafe. The wall of TVs kept our attention. Nachos were decent and enough for a meal. So many dining options in the area, we probably won't go back. Conveniently located near hotels for guests to grab a quick bite. If you have realistic expectations you'll be fine. read more
