He's done CV axle replacements on my 1991 Honda Accord, he's helped me diagnose issues on my Acura TSX (and he didn't charge me for diagnostics!), and most recently he set up my Miata's newly installed Ohlins coilovers. Nowadays, you may hear whispers of buying an Odyssey for baby hauling purposes, but it will be accompanied by discussion on Honda's VCM, and ponderings on Town & Country's awesome Stow & Go. Just this past week, Raceline swapped & silenced the rear hub on the AP1 with utmost timeliness, then promptly gave me some free (& correct) advice on a leaky clutch. That same visit, while Raymond was installing my tires, I spoke to Elton about how bad my alignment was since the last time I took my car to a different shop. When I would drive, the steering wheel wouldn't steer straight. He was able to look at the damage and adjusted my alignment on the floor within a few minutes! Hmm, where do I start about this place? The first time I heard about Raceline USA is when I found out that they were authorized Tein retailers when I was looking for coilovers for my M3. I called a bunch of local retailers, but none of them told me the price I was looking for. When I called Raceline, Elton picked up the phone and sounded like a really cool guy! I told him I was looking for a set of coilovers for an M3, and he told me how he has the same car, we chit chatted a bit, then he gave me the best price I had head from all the other sellers, so I went to his shop right away and put a deposit for the coilovers. They came in a few days later and I had him install them, once again at an unbelievably fair price. The car was ready in a few hours and everything was perfect, except I wished the car was a little lower. Elton was generous enough to show me how to do it and to let me work on my car there. I was only 17 at the time, so this was a great experience. Now that I look back, it shows me that Elton cared more about teaching me the ways than just taking my money. After that day, I always go to Elton for ANY car part I need, including tires! I forgot to mention that he has the BEST tire prices and he carries Federal RSR's in almost every size in stock! I've referred many friends to Raceline. A buddy of mine recently had a supercharger installed and tuned on his S2k by Elton, and he was also extremely satisfied with the price and service. Elton and his staff members aren't like the many other "cool" shops who don't know shit, but they post on the forums and market the shit out of their shops so all the fanboys think they're the best, and charge and arm and a leg to do work on your car. I had a lot of questions and he was more than happy to address them. He took his time tuning to make sure all the numbers were correct. After my tune, my car felt completely different. I think it was either b series w/ all motor or super charged at the time. The check engine light was on for years. Numerous shops were never able to fix this. He fixed it. Didn't even ask him too. I asked him how and he showed me where and why they overlooked it. He and the others also said they liked my setup and schooled me on some stuff. He's also good with other other cars. I was looking for Hankook RS3 tires and was going to go through an online retailer to order the tires but a friend of mine recommended this shop to me. The shop is about 1.5 hours from my home but the price for the tires and install was less than the price for the tires alone shipped from the online retailer. I needed a new tire ASAP, thanks to some piece of trash that decided to slash my tire while I was having dinner on Saturday night (gotta love the 626). First thing Monday morning, I hopped on Yelp to check out a couple local options for tire shops, and Raceline randomly caught my eye. I gave them a call and spoke with Elton, who struck me as extremely down to earth and genuinely sympathetic when I told him what happened. Elton quoted me a price on the tire, I told him I'd give him a call back after I did a price comparison (against a very popular spot in this area), and it turned out the pricing was the same. I decided to give my business to Elton, because I agreed with another reviewer that a more personalized touch in this industry was refreshing and should be valued. (I realized I asked him for the wrong model initially, and when we sorted it out, his price was actually cheaper than the competitor's -- WIN!) Dont get me wrong the price I was quoted here was decent. My issue is that I have inquired about coming in for tires at least 5-6 times but the shop owner would not accommodate a day I could come in. I had a day off so I called in asking what time they opened and was told around 8:30 -9 . I show up at 11 and the shop was closed. I called the owner and he said he would not be in until later in the day. I had driven a long way to get there so I am very upset. I work a lot and it's hard for me to find time off and what's worse is that he is never willing to compromise on a time so I can come in. It was only when he wanted too. I was never once informed that I needed to make an appointment or else I would have . This has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never come here.
