Ordered takeout here. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered online and it was ready for pickup in 25 mins. I ordered the Thai fried rice which was very good and not heavy on the soy sauce. The mixed vegetables with brown rice was also very good with a good variety of vegetables , carrot, broccoli,onions , mushrooms , green and red peppers with tofu in nice light soy sauce. I have had many a thai food in my life and maybe it's bc I am thai myself that I am more critical. This place I tried their fried rice, pad thai, salmon green curry, pad see eww, drunken noodles, laad nar. What I will have to say is that it uses very sweet pre made sauces possibly. My fried rice prior was very not tasty in terms of how it is supposed to have a pop of lime and flavor from the tomatoes and onions. The salmon green curry had American broccoli- that is very odd. It was way too spicy to consume. The masaman curry had a very odd sweet undertone that was off putting. My pad see eww lacked the dark soy sauce that is signature of this dish. The drunken noodles pad kee mao tasted the best of all the dishes but not the most impressive again. It just did not have any of the thai five taste responses. Been coming here for the last few years now. The food is always fresh and all house made, even the curry puffs which is rare. Really impressed with the consistency here, you always know what you're getting. If you don't specify the spice level, the food come on the milder side, but you can always request to have it spicier (spicy ranges on a scale from 1-5). The marinated pork is a great choice with any noodle or dish where you have a choice of protein. Staff and owner are really nice and welcoming and the restaurant is always clean. There are 5 tables inside spaced very far apart with I appreciate. I read a funny meme the other day saying "why spend $15 on pad Thai when you can spend $45 on the ingredients to make a worse pad Thai." This holds true. Support your local businesses. Our first visit here is mixed. While the food was good, we wont return for one reason that just drives me crazy when restaurants do it. Fist the food. An appetizer with spring roll, chicken satay and chicken wings was good all around. Wings were crispy but could have used some seasoning. Spring rolls were crispy and satay good. Entrees of drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice were both standard fare. Now the thing that drives me crazy. For those that dont routinely eat at Thai restaurants, chili-garlic sauce is like ketchup is in other restaurants. Most Thai restaurants ask if you want it or bring it to the table with your meal. It wasnt brought with the meal and wasnt on the table so I ask the waitress for chili sauce so I can add some heat to my dish. She brings me a small dish with about a tablespoon of sauce which was fine until I was given the check and was charged $1 for the chili sauce. Its not the point of the money. To me the point is that you didnt tell me you were going to charge me for the sauce which is like charging for ketchup when getting a burger. When the waitress comes over and asks how everything was I tell her it was good however you charged me for chili sauce and I'm not happy about that. Her answer was ok, well I'll make a note of that. Not I'll let a manager know, or an offer to take it off. Just I'll make a note. OK, well I made a note that we wont be going back. Any place that charges me for a condiment and doesnt tell me, doesnt get my business. read more

Drunken noodles and spicy fried rice are so good at this place. They are super accommodating if you are vegan. They'll leave out the fish sauce and egg from any dishes that have it. The service is always quick and fast whether you're dining in or taking out. I live further out east but will always take out from here if I'm close by. read more

My family and I have been to Raan Thai twice and the food has been consistently excellent. Now it doesn't have a fancy atmosphere; it's more like being welcomed to someone's home kitchen. For appetizer I would definitely recommend the Roti and chicken satay. The flat and clear noodle dishes are also tasty with a choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or faux chicken. What a little hidden gem! Raan Thai is located in a strip mall that has some vacant stores: not a very picturesque outside first impression, but you must try this place! Clean establishment, friendly service, accurate orders, and decent pricing! Tom kha soup was wonderful, nice coconut flavor! We ordered the appetizer combo which consists of three appetizers you choose off the menu. We got the spring rolls, summer rolls, and chicken satay. All three were fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. I especially loved the peanut dipping sauce for the satay. We shared the vegetable red curry with brown rice. WOW was it spicy--if you aren't a fan of hot, be sure to ask them to tone it down. We didn't think to do that, but I added a pit of peanut sauce to mine afterward to make it a little less spicy and it was great. Our whole lunch, consisting of the soup, triple appetizer for two, and entree came to under $40. A great deal! Our server Katie was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu items. We were the only ones dining in for lunch, but there were a couple other customers in and out for pick-up orders. Soon as we sat down the couple who was seated across from us left their food which they hardly touched on the table and got up and left. That made me very nervous but I wanted to form my own opinion, I ordered the Tam Yam Noodle and it had a very tangy taste. I think if i would have told them to make it spicy It would have tasted better.
