My daughter is obsessed with Japan and ramen and I saw this place on Yelp after a doctors appt with her. There's 1 hour parking in front and I'm not sure if there's a lot in the back. The restaurant is really cute, and has traditional bar seating in the front and booths/tables in the back. We sat down in a booth and were immediately greeted by the server who took our drink orders. He informed us M-F it's buy one milk tea/ flavored tea get one free. I had the passion fruit tea with passion fruit boba and my daughter had some milk tea that we enjoyed. There's an iPad on the table that you do your ordering on, which I love cause there's some pictures and you can order more food without flagging anyone down. (The second ones we took to go). I ordered the pork tonkatsu ramen and my daughter ordered the kid size ramen. The food was delivered by the cutest robot, it made my daughter so happy! I will never go back here since they told me that they are no longer serving Chashu pork belly. It's no longer available either in the Tonkotsu Ramen, Bao bun or as the protein in a rice bowl. They told me it's because too many customers complained about fatty meat. I have a VERY hard time believing that's the reason. Seems to me it is much more likely that somebody in management decided that they didn't want to spend the money on pork belly and could replace it with a much leaner and cheaper cut of pork. I ended up ordering the Tonkotsu Ramen and it came with a very tough piece of pork and it was terrible. If they truly took this off the menu because customers complained, then zero respect given for not sticking to your culinary guns. If it's because they're cheap then that's just a shame. Either way, it's not a place I can go anymore. I'll save Ramen dinners for trips to the city or just drive a little further into St James or Stony Brook and spend on a place that has respect for its ingredients. read more

As the nights are starting to get colder I was on the mood to try a new Ramen place. Talk Ramen came up and looked promising. We arrived around 8:30 ( they closed at 10 that day) and there was ample seating without a wait. They have two entrances. One from Main Street and the other from a back parking lot. What looks like a large alley right before the business is actually how you get into the back parking lot. Of you enter from Main Street, you enter to see a small "sushi bar" area with the chefs behind it. As you proceed back you get to the seating area and then eventually the most impressive main entrance I've seen thus far at most restaurants. We were seated immediately and given a tutorial on how to use the menu/ordering tablet. It was very cool and allowed us to look at our options as well as order the food at our own pace. The cat robot brought out drinks and the food. The food was fairly quick to arrive and was hot. Everything was very good and flavorful. We were even able to order extra side items like a side of kimchi. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Everything seemed neat and clean and although completely unrelated, they also sold sweatshirts! Gotta love a new sweatshirt! For desert we had mochi and a Taro milk tea which was better than most taro teas I've had else where. They try hard and have a good thing going there. read more

My boyfriend loves Rakkii Ramen, so I tried it for the first time, and there were definitely some highlights. The gyoza and appetizers were very good, and I really enjoyed how clean and pretty the restaurant is. One of the most fun parts was the robots that bring the food to your table--it adds such a unique touch! I ordered the vegetarian ramen, but unfortunately, I didn't care for the smell or taste. The menu said it came with corn, but they've since changed it. However, the staff was very accommodating and brought the corn over when we mentioned the error. I had a mango Saki drink, which wasn't quite to my taste, but if I come back, I'd probably stick with appetizers. Overall, it's a nice spot with a great atmosphere! read more

When the food came out we had double of everything we ordered. We thought the base for miso was to start then you had to add each item not realizing it already came with stuff. The waiter should've said something. We wound up with (and paying for) an absurd amount of noodles for 4 people-- noodles to feed over 10 people. The soup wasn't even hot it, was lukewarm at best, kind of gross. The miso soup base was off, mix wasn't done properly. As someone who has had a TON of miso soup this tasted nothing like a miso base. The noodles looked like and tasted like spaghetti pasta noodles, nothing like ramen noodles. Incredibly disappointed-- I will definitely not be returning here. read more

We were a party of 5. Explained gluten allergy to our server. First, wrong food arrived. Took them a minute to believe us and realize they had the wrong table. Happens. Then they tried to serve my friend regular noodles. When questioned they apologized and went back to kitchen. They then brought the wrong order for 2 of us ( impressive since ordered on an iPad) After that was straightened out they suddenly announced they were "sold out" of gluten free noodles. Had they said that upfront we would have gone elsewhere. My friend asked to sub with rice. She ended up with stomach cramps. So the soup was likely not really gluten free. This place is pretty good! I've been here a handful of times. The cat robot is so cute. My favorite dish is the Dan Dan style ramen and the best app is by far the shrimp lollipops. Whatever sauce they use on those is literally incredible. My only issues with this place are that the cold noodles they have over during the summer aren't offered year round and that very often my hot regular ramen comes out very room temperature and not piping hot - so it doesn't stay warm for long. read more

Ive been here multiple times and have always gotten the ramen ofcourse! My friends and I have gotten almost all of them. My favorites would have to be the seafood udon as well as the regular shoyo! The waiter, I can see he was busy with customers in the back, door dash pick ups and me. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen. The chef in front of me is cutting, mixing, dicing and slicing. Woodsy but modern interior, plenty of space despite its location. Ordered a chicken ramen in a delightful plastic container where the toppings and noodles were suspended above the broth. The overall dish, pleasant. The chicken was nice and tender, with some char to it. The toppings provided a nice crunch and the egg was wonderfully flavored and oozing yolk. With that being said, the dish didn't really wow me. The broth was standard, good, but nothing special. I kind of wish there was more oomph to the overall dish. The fried chicken rice bowl was about the best thing and still sort of lack luster in general. The ramen was appalling. So foul I couldn't eat it even after dousing it in garlic, sriracha, and curry to try to mask its grotesqueness. I could have bought 4 meals for this price and this was all sickening (literally) I'll never go back and since I took the bullet the four of us that were going to go over this passed weekend I'll be urging them not to go. I ordered the peach and lychee green tea. The lychee green tea is wonderful and really balanced. The peach tea has stronger green tea notes. The lychee is sweeter than the peach. Both drinks are super refreshing and compliment the appetizers. I also ordered the karaage and pork gyoza. The gyoza sauce is thick and a little sweet, almost cinnamony. The gyoza is salty and savory. The karaage chicken is crispy, with a sweet and spicy sauce on top of it that has chili flakes. I also ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and Spicy Miso Ramen. The curry has pickled ginger, scallions, and corn in it, and the pickled ginger is great, sweet and sour. The chicken is crunchy, the curry is thick, but I do wish there was more curry on the rice. It's a pretty big bowl too, so more sauce would have gone a long way. The miso soup is pretty spicy, the broth is very viscous and umami. Unfortunately, I came when it was quiet in the restaurant, so you can hear every order that comes in with a little ding. It did take away from the calm lofi music and nice atmosphere. I liked that it was a nice temperature inside. Outdoors, the tables were clean and there is interesting art all over the establishment. Parking is behind the restaurant, and there is ample parking. The service, however, was great! Multiple servers came to the table, making sure I enjoyed my food, drinks, and were responsive if I wanted any modifications to my order or sides. A really clean and delicious experience. THIS is some tasty ramen, and very comfortable seating. I love the outdoor area, the small bar on the inside and ramen bar in the back. They sometimes don't give too much pork, in the spicy miso, but the flavor of the broth and the miso egg are dynamite! I never liked egg in my soups but this one is always perfect. I have tried ramen all over including the city & as close as Huntington but the ramen here is always on point every single time. The ambiance is also very nice, but I like to sit at the kitchen.
