D2. Curry Katsu Don, A7. Kara-age, Shrim Shumai, Taro milk tea

The curry bowl here is amazing, the shrimp shumai is just the right amount of crispy and the milk tea is tasty! My boyfriend had the karaage which was tender and juicy. The servings are plentiful and they offer a 10% discount if you use cash which is nice. Overall this place is a staple for good asian food, would definitely come back for a delicious bite.

My favorite ramen place. We take the 40 minute drive to get some super flavorable food. The service is always super fast and the establishment is well maintained. I do wish they would make the lighting a little dim for a more intimate setting but overall Im super pleased. The portions are huge!! You will be full for the rest of the day. 10/10

    # Overall: Iron Ramen seems to be a great establishment to visit for an affordable filling meal. The portion sizes are extremely generous. # Ambiance This place sports a self-service style where you order and pick up the food yourself. You'll also be in charge of cleaning up after yourself too. # Food and Drink Introduced to me by some friends that continually praise this place for it's kaarage don, I had to visit with them and try for myself. Lavender Milk Tea The milk tea comes with tapioca and is pretty sweet. The Pineapple Passion Fruit smoothie and the Rose Lychee smoothie were better beverage choices. Kaarage Don The main attraction. There is a lot of chicken and a lot of rice. I wouldn't exactly classify the fried chicken as kaarage, but the flavor is still decent. The red ginger is an optional topping included by default. Personally, it's too strong of a flavor and ends up taking away from the overall dish, so I would ask to omit it.

The most popular dishes don't disappoint: the Spicy Miso Ramen (R5) and Kara-age Don (D4) fried chicken rice bowl. Both are flavorful and either will leave you very full or with leftovers for tomorrow. Service is self-serve and there is a generous 10% cash discount. The inside has kind of a mall vibe with the tile, TV, and color lighting, which I could do with less of, but everything else is great.

4.5/5 Amazing ramen spot!! The Spicy miso broth was incredible and I asked for extra spice and they gave me a side of this delicious chili oil. Went with friends and it was quick, fun, and a good price for such quality food! The fried chicken we got was crispy, juicy and fried to perfection. It came with a tasty eel/spicy mayo mixture. Will come again!

Stopped in for a quick weeknight dinner with my family. Service was quick and friendly. Everyone who has ramen was pleased with the broth and presentation of the bowl. The noodles were cooked just right, not overdone or chewy. We also had the fried chicken, shumai and dumpling appetizers which were good to share as a family of 5. The teas were very refreshing too. Will be back!

I had to rewrite my review, I had a spelling mistake that needed to be corrected. First off, I *hate* when Yelpers bring me into their reviews. Don't like what I wrote, move on! The pizza place that was originally here, the owners were from Italy and used imported flour. Then? They sold to a different pizza owner. So bite on that pepperoni. I was going to Iron Poke (which my family loves) and decided to give Iron Ramen another go. The restaurant isn't too crowded and I was able to grab a table. I ordered the Iron Tonkostu Ramen along with a Lavender Milk Tea. What was presented to me was a beautiful bowl of Ramen. Nice flavor on the pork, the bowl was a little bland. It needed more, something. Creamy broth and the Lavender Tea left me satisfied. It just needed some heat, otherwise I had a nice meal today. Keep rockin' that ramen!

Iron Ramen is always good. I've been coming here for a while now. My go to is the sunrise passion tea. Always get the chicken shoyu ramen. My husband gets either the seafood ramen or the chicken bowl.

Food is really good. Really liked the service. My favorite Ramen is the seafood Ramen. But when I'm not in the mood for Ramen I love their rice bowls!

An so-so place for ramen. I came here Saturday evening around 6:30Pm, it wasn't too busy. The place is clean. I ordered chicken bowl and ramen. I didn't have to wait long for my food (6-7 minutes). It's self service so you clean up after you done. The chicken rice bowl was pretty good. Somehow fried chicken got served with seaweed and ginger, it was a bit odd for me. The Tonkotsu ramen was a disappointment for me. The broth wasn't that great. My bowl had 4-5 very thin slices of pork. Gave them 3 stars because the price is not expensive and at least the chicken bowl was good. I probably won't come back here for ramen

Stopped by here for some quality ramen and was not disappointed! Ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and the broth tasted great and they did not hold back on the spice for all the spice lovers out there. The one thing I wished was better were the noodles, which tasted a bit bland.

My son and I love Iron Ramen and eat it at least once a week. Not only is the food and service good, but prices are very reasonable and portions are great which keeps us coming back.

This is my first time ordering from the joint. I got the curry katsu-don rice bowl which is breaded fried chicken cutlet with rice and curry sauce. I ordered to go and do like how they separated the curry sauce from everything else. This way, the rice and chicken cutlet wouldn't get soggy one bit. The portion was quite generous and the curry sauce had a nice thickness to it and everything was cooked to order. Just on this one visit alone, I will give it 4 stars for sure.

Ask the Community - Iron Ramen

How does Iron Ramen compare to the Slurp Ramen downport? Better? Worse?

I think Iron Ramen has more of a variety. Both are delicious, but Iron Ramen has the Gyodon Beef that Slurp no longer has which is a shame because it's sooooo good.

Our go to dishes are the beef in chili sauce, seafood noodles, and beef flank.. everything is consistently delicious. If you like a little heat, definitely try the chili sauce they have on the tables it takes everything to the next level. That's quite a mouthful, like their noodles! I believe the same broth is applied to all bowls so the only options you have to choose are either: hand pulled/hand cut noodles and your choice of meat, I prefer hand pulled. Now, I've had the house noodle bowl in the past in an effort to sample their meats. My conclusion is that the ribs are their best option. They are deceptively flavorful and fall off the bone easily. Their noodles have a great chew and mouthfeel while the broth is delicately beefy/porky. I love to jazz it up with the table vinegar and chili oil. As for serving size, these bowls are giant so you will leave full. If you still have some room though check out their oden selection. I like the fish cake/ball and chinese sausage varieties, they come with a lovely sweet and salty chili sauce that packs a punch. These noodles are truly splendid and even more so in the colder months.

The place was very crowded and pretty fast paced, but Nick took the time to explain a few things to us, and he was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and a calm guy despite the busyness going on. My son and I had Ramen bowls that were plentiful and very good! We sat at a table when one opened, and we were delivered our food by none other than Nick once again. He was again - super friendly and genuinely calm, even though he was doing three different things at once! I marveled at how chill the guy was and told him so! So: Food excellent, staff excellent, and wait time despite the crowd was also very good. ONE complaint is that they had no way of taking tips on the credit card up front at the register when you paid! That is unheard of and very unfair to the employees who are working hard for whomever owns this place!! I urge the owners to immediately rectify this situation!! The Soon Doo Boo was very tasty and had a little kick. Not as much as I would like but very close to what I would expect. The Jap Chae flavor was good but it did not have any spinach and not enough of other vegetables; but as I said, pretty tasty. The place is pretty roomy so would probably not need to wait for a table. The rest of the food were mostly misses, the worst being the Kalbi. The flavor was a little too sweet but in a teriyaki sauce kind of way, not the Korean pear/sugar/soy sauce way. The seafood pajeon was too burnt and did not have any seafood, almost all batter. The banchan was ok but the kimchee was a little too ripe. Service was a little show because they were short staffed according to our waiter. So all in all, just not a great experience. I would probably be a little more lenient but prices are similar to Flushing/Bayside even though I would assume their overhead was lower.
