    The Finishing Touch Wedding Design

Brandi and her team created absolute MAGIC on our wedding day! Our ceremony site was already…read moregorgeous on its own, so we wanted to keep decoration light there. Finishing Touch added the perfect amount of flowers along the aisle and at the altar without taking away from the natural beauty. The number one thing (when it came to decor) that I wanted for our wedding was ceiling drapery with fairy lights and Finishing Touch DELIVERED! They are a preferred vendor of our venue (Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens) and the only vendor that the venue allows to hang things from the ceiling. We met with Brandi in the showroom to look at different centerpiece options, candle votives, flower options, and fabric colors. She was attentive and listened to everything - even picking up on things we didn't say but ended up being important. Brandi picked up the tone in the room very quickly when she asked about boutonnieres for the fathers and we said "just father of the groom". She suggested making a memorial boutonniere for my dad (father of the bride) and I loved that idea so much. She made every effort to tie the details together meaningfully and never pushed more expensive options. They had already started setting up when we arrived at the venue on wedding day and I was AMAZED. It was even more beautiful and magical than I had imagined! The centerpieces were fresh flowers and were gorgeous. The stairway and other flower accents were silk and they were a PERFECT match with the fresh flowers. So many people commented on the fairytale feel and how pretty the flowers were. We decided to have our flower girl's flower crown be made of silk flowers instead of fresh so she could keep it. It was beautifully crafted and made my flower girl feel like a princess! I drug my feet on getting my bouquet dried and pressed after the wedding and didn't get to it until about 4 days after. The person I went to said that usually flowers are a total loss at that point, but that she could tell I had an incredible florist because my flowers were still almost perfect! Using Finishing Touch is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They made my fairytale dreams come true and I felt like a princess!

You can tell from all of her experience that she knows what she's doing. We gave her an idea of the colors we wanted, and she was able to help design flowers and decor (e.g., candles, lanterns) that were better than anything we could have imagined. She was able to work within our budget to still make an absolutely stunning arrangement for both our ceremony and our reception. Even better was that she was able to use a mix of largely silk flowers (which looked gorgeous and cost less) as well as as real flowers for the bridal bouquets and groomsmen flowers, and every last detail looked perfect. She is communicative and flexible with you, and she made the daunting task of choosing wedding flowers into a stress free and beautiful experience. Would highly recommend anyone in the area looking for a florist to go with Brandi and Finishing Touch!

We received many compliments from our guests on the ceremony and reception decor which was amazing. She really takes the time to listen to you and makes sure that everything is exactly as you had envisioned for your big day scheduling as many meetings and phone calls with you as you need. Thank you so much for your hard work. We wish you the best.

I am in no way trying to be malicious and what I am about to express is in all honesty. I was…read morereferred to Makayla by a friend of mine and when my husband and I met her we clicked. She assured us that our outdoor wedding was her cup of tea. To make a long story short, Makayla is not the wedding coordinator for you if you value your wedding day. We experienced multiple family emergencies with her (which we understand happens) but we were notified of meeting cancellation within the same hour as the appointment or not within 24 hours of the meeting like her contract states. At one point her mother sent me a text stating "she took Makayla's phone away from her" her mother stated that she needed a break. I am a business owner myself and I would never allow this to happen. She has forgotten to respond to my texts or emails in a timely manner on multiple occasions. My husband and I did 98% of our planning when we hired her to assist with so much of our planning and decor. All of the vendors we chose to work with were from our research and attempt to contact and contract except the florist and suit rental company which she referred us to. I was told my multiple vendors that we contracted that she was lacking to update or make changes needed on our invoices. Thankfully I was on top of EVERYTHING! At one point I was called by her to inform me about her mandatory attendance needed at jury duty 3 days prior to her "3 day jury duty". Because of her jury duty I had to attend 2 vendor meeting by myself and let me tell you it was a very stressful time handling meetings without my "professional" wedding coordinator to assist me. Makayla was not educated on wattage needed for generators for our outdoor venue and when she spoke with a vendor her suggestion for wattage was questionable so we ended up researching on our own. The final straw for us to cancel our contract with AGA was when we witnessed her production with our own eyes. My aunt hired AGA to plan and deliver her sons 1st birthday party. It was a baseball them and the deliverance of the party was horrible. I could have done better myself. She tried hot glue gunning balloons to a backdrop, she blamed the wind for the balloons looking sad and wilted. Within an hour of her bringing the balloons they lost air and were small and all different in size. She was late and sent her "assistants" to start prepping. Her "assistants" had no idea where any of the decor went. My aunt requested a large tent and 2 EZ-ups were brought. The face painter was late. I saw the proposal and images that my aunt received and the day of the party nothing was even close to the inspiration photos. She did not have baseballs for the buckets and my aunt had to pull out her sons baseballs. I can go on and on... We met with Makayla and expressed that we were not happy after seeing her work at the 1st birthday party and she had excuse after excuse and assured us she can deliver the day of our wedding. We left that meeting still feeling uneasy and knew that if we pulled out of contract we would lose money. I tried contacting AGA for days and received nothing in response and finally after days of attempts an email was sent that she had ANOTHER family emergency. At this point I could not accept anymore of her unprofessionalism and requested to terminate contract. We asked for all monies to be refunded. She was unwilling to refund full amount and stated per her contract (which was very contradicting I might add) she can keep all money but she was willing to refund a few hundred. I was not going to agree to that since my husband and I did 98% of our work. After weeks of battling back and forth and setting an appointment to take AGA to small claims court she agreed to give less than half the amount we paid her on contract. I was still unhappy with this agreement but we had no choice as we were less than 60 days away from our wedding and court would interfere with many meetings and wedding duties. What we received as a "settlement" from AGA is not acceptable. I cannot refer her to ANYONE and I am writing this review because I want to warn the next person about AGA unprofessionalism. I am sure I am missing so much detail and I wish I remember everything but this should be enough to prove that AGA is not who you want to work with. I hope AGA learns from this experience and make the changes needed to become a better coordinator or step down from this as a career. I wanted to wait until after my wedding 10/19/19 to write this review. Thankfully I found another wedding coordinator who saved our wedding day!

Very quickly after working with Priscilla I realized she would not respond to all of my text messages trying to confirm details to my wedding or questions my vendors wanted to ask. This continued until I confronted her for her to reply and say she just coordinates the day of the wedding and does not do "chores" for guests. She was very unpleasant to deal with from this day moving forward, although I tried to look passed that. Priscilla also let me know she would not be at my wedding the day of abruptly soon after because she was going to Vegas last minute. She has no customer service for someone who's job is exactly that. My husband and I were on a budget and only had 80 guests; we wanted to put 250 towards the bar (which Priscilla advised we can do) and then have guests pay out of pocket because we didn't want to host an open bar. When we proposed this anount to Priscilla she basically told me I wasn't allowed to put 250 because it wasn't enough considering most of my guests did not drink we felt it was fair enough. The day of my wedding, Priscilla (unbeknownst to me at the time) had my florist place the florals where she wanted them and then called the photographer I paid for to go and take pictures of the venue before any guests arrived so that she can post them for her social media account in hopes to "sell" the venue. My wedding was delayed because the florals were not at the ceremony but instead inside where she selfishly wanted them. I also never got to take photos with my bridesmaids and in the bridal room because of Priscilla's selfish requests she made with OUR photographer that we paid for. I was able to also confirm this with my photographer. On top of that, Majority of my guests who were my bridal party did not get appetizers that my husband and I paid for per person and her reasoning is because my guests were not "seated" which was highly disappointing and if that was the case it should've been disclosed in the contracted that she breached. Mind you the plates were 62 per person, you can imagine we spent a pretty good coin on the food alone. The AC was off and it was very hot in the venue that for most of the night my guests had to walk outside to get some air. The power also went out in the middle of the wedding for at least 20-30 mins which made my dj and Photo Booth go out (both things I paid for) Priscilla's excuse was "your dj's amps" made it go out. She knew we had a dj coming and a Photo Booth area, the venue clearly cannot handle the amount of power it takes to have a wedding. Now she is only offering to have a meeting with the Manager. Priscilla is advising I've been more than compensated and will not offer any compensation for any of this. I also advised Priscilla not to contact my photographer because she will not be sending her any photos we paid for. My photographer is advising Priscilla keeps calling her and texting her behind my back trying to disregard what I said. She is trying to obtain photos that she did NOT pay for. Look elsewhere if you can instead of booking this venue, and if you do I hope you have a better experience than I did.
