They kept promoting the 90 day warranty, which I did not care about. Apparently, there was a coupon, so they gave me $30 off. Later, I found a $75 dollar off coupon online. All in all, I should have rented a motorized snake for $30 from Home Depot and did the job myself. The service was prompt, adequate quality but way too expensive.

I had to keep calling and making a longer story short they finally came out two months later. They cleaned the spots with cleaner that didn't work so I bought something to try myself. I worked at it and got about half the stain off but still bad. The stain was baked in by the sun by this time. It was on them to clean. I'm 73 female and this is ridiculous. Their customer service has a lot of room for improvement!

They at least offered to reschedule for a later day in the week -BUT- with little regard for the fact that I took time away from my busy schedule to have a set appointment. It was a Friday night in the middle of a huge snowstorm and deep freeze, and yet Roto-Rooter was able to send their plumber Josh close to midnight--despite subzero temperatures and terrible road conditions. The cost for snaking and scoping our line after hours was $360--pretty reasonable, when other places had quoted $500 or more. (Credit cards are accepted.) Josh was a consummate professional, and very personable and friendly to boot. He snaked and scoped our line, cleared out the problem, and identified several plumbing problems to correct--including a small gas leak we hadn't noticed. When I call service professionals, I always worry they'll be working in a way I don't understand, not explaining what they're doing, or treating their work like a trade secret. In comparison, Josh was empathetic and explained and demonstrated what he was doing. This put our worried minds at ease. I admit I was a bit skeptical of calling a nationwide chain, but that fear proved unfounded. This particular Roto-Rooter location on Jonquil is a full-service plumbing business (d/b/a Buck Creek Plumbing) with Master Plumbers and can handle a full range of plumbing work, not just drain cleaning. In the end, Roto-Rooter treated us people to be helped, and not just a problem to be solved. We would definitely call Roto-Rooter for plumbing needs in the future.

Instead, our insurance information was reviewed and we were told we would be covered and not to worry about costs. After the work was completed, we received a bill for approximately $5,400 that included charges that were not clearly explained at the time of service. Because we had concerns about the quality of the cleanup, we hired Complete Cleaning and Restoration for a second opinion. They found that sewage contamination was still present and classified it as Category 3 black water, meaning the area had not been properly remediated. We then had to pay an additional $2,400 for proper cleanup and restoration. Complete Cleaning and Restoration was transparent, professional, and charged exactly as quoted. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Roto-Rooter.

This time, it was the kitchen sink faucet which started spraying all kinds of water from the underside faucet mounting whenever the water was turned on. I assumed the faucet was shot and would need to be replaced, so I called for a plumber. After calling 7 (seven!) plumbers and getting no response from 6 and 1 message that they could come out in about a week, I finally called Cascade Plumbing and they came out the very next morning. The plumber was a quiet old dude, but clean, competent and professional. He was also honest! Instead of up-charging me for a new faucet, he told me that the existing faucet might not have been installed properly (big surprise from Eastbrook.) He explained what was wrong and was able to fix it right then and there. No replacement was needed and the charge was minimal. This company exceeded my expectations. I will be calling Cascade if I need plumbing services in the future!
