He worked at it for about 2.5 hours, took up the toilet ran his camera down and found it. Very reasonable and fast, the clog was 27' at the end of the house. Thank You Zach!! I will be having them cover the whole house where they come out Spring / Fall to inspect my HVAC (they check the capacitors in the outside condenser unit wich not very many HVAC Tech check this. Despite facing some unexpected site challenges, they brought the job in on time and on budget. We needed a clean site and they accommodated this requirement nicely. Any new well installation will disrupt the site, but they worked hard to minimize it. Their staff were, without exception, pleasant, professional, skilled, and hard working. It was a pleasure to work with them and they deserve your consideration if you're looking for a new well installation.

On the bad side, they charged 50% more than the estimate ( given 30 days before by the same fellow who did the work) and the up charge proved to be without basis. I asked why the labor charge doubled from $400 to $800 ? The answer was that the job took longer than estimated. Good answer if true. It wasn't. Then the worker added he estimated 3 hours and they charge $160 an hour and they arrived at 8:30 ( It was actually a little after that). I pulled out my phone and showed him it was 11:40. 3 hours 10 minutes. At $160 an hour the labor charge should not have been more than $508. The worker was red in the face. He was irritated- I guess because he was caught. He fumbled over his words and mumbled that they had an hour travel time. As a rule service companies don't charge for travel, the company builds it into it's hourly rate. But even if I accept that they do charge for travel, my house is 9 miles from the office. A call was made to the main office. The labor charge was reduced by $200. No apology. No admitting a mistake. I didn't bring up the overcharge on the parts. I wanted to but-the worker was getting too rude. In addition to the overcharge, the worker broke a water pipe to a guest house. No one's fault. It was old galvanized pipe. But he didn't fix it or offer to. In fact, he said he could not. He demonstrated complete indifference about leaving the guest house without water. Someone was staying in the house. The pipe needed to be fixed. I went to the local hardware store, bought three fittings and a piece of pex pipe and made the repair. I'm not a plumber or a well worker, just logical. The repair took about 1.5 hours with my travel time included. I think most of the older workers at King Wells must do a good job. The reviews I read before I decided to hire King Wells tend to support that conclusion. The worker at my house was on the younger side. That of course does not excuse the padded labor charge, rudeness or leaving the customer with a broken pipe unresolved. Dave B. Newaygo

What an amazing experience we've had with Grapids! From start to finish the process was wonderful…read more Todd came out within hours of calling to get a quote to upgrade our furnace and add AC to our home. Our furnace was over 20 years old functioning but a bit of a head scratcher. Additionally we needed to upgrade our electrical panel. Grapids was able to subcontract that for us too. Tyler and Eric came out the very next day (bright and early) and spent the day reconstruction our HVAC system. Prior to their arrival we decided to add a humidifier to the unit. The office was seemlessly able to add that to our work order. Todd swang back out to check in on the progress and make sure we were happy. Throughout the day several members of Grapid came through to bring supplies and check in. The stars of the show were definitely Tyler and Eric who worked until after 7pm to complete the HVAC job. They worked well together and I could overhear them as I graded papers upstairs. They treated each other with respect and humor. It was so refreshing to have work done in our home by such wonderful people. They even took the time to FaceTime with my husband who was at work to show the final product and answer all of his questions. Without hesitation I will recommend Grapids (specifically Todd, Tyler and Eric) to anyone! I came back to add we had quotes from three different companies and Grapid was under the others AND included upgrading our electrical panel with one of their subcontractors.

Jon came and fixed the issue professionally. The only peeve was that though he completed the work within 30 minutes, i still got charged for an additional 15 minutes since he was in his vehicle writing up the invoice so had to pay additional $23 for the 15 minutes. The billing rate can add up quickly and expensively but the job got done properly.
