They are very upfront about the costs, and post on the wall the additional dealer fee. There are no add on costs, no surprise "transaction" fees, no upsells for stupid things like nitrogen in your tires. They also don't negotiate on prices. That can be good or bad, just know in advance! Once we agreed on the price, Junior arranged the paperwork. In ten minutes he had everything set up. He made a folder with the forms I needed to bring to the DMV and specifically stated what each form was for. We were done pretty quickly! 1st Choice Auto Sales was a great place to buy a used car. Looks like the original owner did a shotty job installing them. High Tech called and talked about options. Ended up putting factory headlights back on and everything's works beautifully. The staff was very helpful and inviting. Seems like a nice "mom and pops" type of place. Highly recommend and definitely will go back for regular maintenance in my truck.

They were extremely professional from start to finish. Found the source of the clunk (loose bolt), got the alignment fixed, and even went out of their way to meet my request for skid plate recommendations. I setup the appointment online and worked with Tim when I arrived at the shop. Everything was top-notch and I'm glad to have a 4x4 shop close by that I'll go to in the future for any work.

Tim was also recommended by one of his neighbors who I am close friends with and trust. My car smelled like cigarettes even though no smokers are ever in my car. Opened the hood and noticed a huge pink blob. Turns out the plastic hose to the radiator was broken and I have been leaking coolant. Tim gave me the diagnosis, found a local store that carried my Toyota parts and had Gustavo repair that hose and another one. Took about three hours so I went home and got a ride back. Tim, Marie and Gustavo were super pleasant and helpful. It wasn't cheap but certainly reasonable and I prefer a job well done and trustworthy honest people first and foremost. I definitely would recommend this place and would come back if I had any problems. Located on 29 on the left across from the BMW dealership.

I accidentally parked in their parking lot and thought " ok I'm here let me give them a chance"..... well I went to the front desk a woman behind the desk who looks to be about 50 years old and a cigarette smoker was very rude about not having time to take my car. NOW GOOD BUSINESS would be to say- We can't take your car now but why don't you come back at X time on X day, but this woman just turned me away so they apparently don't want money or business since they just turned me away in a rude way. So I hope this review helps them not make money since they apparently don't want it. My recommendation is get a new front desk lady and if that's the owner....... oh boy. I won't share the whole story here except to say that these guys are honest and efficient. I came to Auto Tech because Pohanka Lexus recommended over $2,000 worth of minor repairs. These guys could have just quoted me a lower price and made me happy. Instead, they inspected my car and told me that I truly did not need half of the repairs that the crooked dealer service manager had tried to sell me. Ralph at Auto Tech responded to my emails, answers the phone, speaks plainly and tells you what he's good at and what you'd be better off taking elsewhere. I wish that they did Virginia inspections (I understand why they don't). I wish they had a better waiting area (I understand why they don't). I wish they were a little closer to the Metro station. But hey, when those are your only complaints about a mechanic, you're doing well...

Buyers Beware !!!!!!!…read more My family has been bringing our Mercedes vehicles to this shop for many years. Under the previous owner, we always received honest service, fair pricing, and professionalism. Sadly, since the original owner no longer runs the business and the business came under new management, our experience has been completely different. We recently brought in our 2009 Mercedes S-Class for what should have been a straightforward battery replacement. We were charged $392 for the main battery, $255 for the auxiliary battery, $127 for installation, and an additional $150 storage fee, bringing the total bill to $924. Here's where things became unacceptable. The shop contacted us on Friday for additional information about the vehicle, and we immediately authorized the repair. However, because they are no longer open on Saturdays and did not have the battery in stock, they had to order it. Instead of accepting responsibility for their scheduling and parts availability, they charged us $150 in storage fees because the vehicle remained on their lot over the weekend before the repair was even completed. The car wasn't sitting there because we delayed picking it up. It was sitting there because they hadn't completed the repair. We explained that we should not be responsible for storage charges on a vehicle that was still waiting on parts and had not yet been repaired. They refused to remove the charge. It didn't stop there. Once the repair was finally completed, they called us at 4:00 p.m. to let us know the car was ready. The shop closes at 5:00 p.m., so we immediately told them we were on our way. That's when we were informed that the "final pickup time" was actually 4:00 p.m. They then said that if we could make it before they closed at 5:00 p.m., we "should be okay." That made absolutely no sense. If the final pickup time is 4:00 p.m., why wait until 4:00 p.m. to notify your customer that the vehicle is ready? You have no idea whether your customer is at work, across town, or otherwise unavailable. After already charging us $150 in storage fees for a vehicle that hadn't even been repaired, it certainly felt like we were being set up to incur another storage charge simply because they waited until the last hour of business to call. As longtime customers, this experience was incredibly disappointing. We trusted this shop for years because of the integrity and customer service under the previous owner. Unfortunately, that level of service appears to be gone. Charging customers storage fees because your business is closed on Saturdays, billing them for storing a vehicle while waiting on parts, and then notifying them at the exact moment your stated pickup deadline begins is, in my opinion, an unfair business practice and a terrible way to treat loyal customers. This shop has lost our business permanently. I would strongly encourage anyone considering bringing their Mercedes .... DON'T. There are too many reputable independent Mercedes repair shops to accept treatment like this. Zero stars if I could give them that.
