I had a gift card from 2005 and have been saving it all these years until I came back to Simi (I moved out of state right after high school). No expiration is on the gift card and if the business has new owners the gift card still legally is valid because the new owner takes on the businesses debts and accounting. My gift card was for $60. I got a $25 service so I should of had $35 left. The owner did not want to accept the card. His argument was that they dont look like that anymore. My argument is who cares if their designed changed. The money was still allocated and no expiration on card. I figured the owner would have gotten a kick out of just how long I've been hanging onto the thing for. Instead he ripped up the whole gift card (so I lost out on the $35 remainder) and told me to leave. As a business owner you should know that unless the card explicitly has an expiration date or is a promotional card then they need to honor it. That is what's right. Not ripping it up and kicking the customer out.

When I went in a few weeks ago, I was charged $40 because what I get is very basic. When I went in yesterday, Leo wasn't available so Mya did my nails and was very sweet, but at the conclusion told me because I didn't get color my total was only $55. I was confused as I had just paid $40 a few weeks prior. I went to the front to pay and asked the guy at the front desk (who is always pushy and not the most welcoming) why I was being charged different prices in which he responded it's $62 always for bio gel with or without color. So now, no one is on the same page and I've been told 3 different prices. Annoyed is an understatement. On top of this, the workers sit in the booths while they have no clients with their shoes off and dirty feet propped up on the benches which is not only gross, but super unprofessional. It's a shame the place is tan this way, it's a huge turnoff. Especially being treated like you're in the wrong when none of them are on the same page. I looked at the reviews and I feel better knowing it wasn't only me that saw the issues here. Won't be going back anymore.

Instead of properly removing it, she filed it down and made it significantly worse. If you're not comfortable dealing with an ingrown, that's completely fine--but don't make the situation worse by doing something that isn't helping. Overall, the service felt rushed, careless, and painful. I paid for a relaxing pedicure and left with a bruised foot and a more irritated ingrown toenail. Definitely not an experience I would recommend.

I just moved to Simi Valley and I've been looking for a new salon I can go too and trust what they're doing. I came in this late afternoon and they welcomed me with a big smile and took me right away. I wasn't sure what I wanted but vivi gave me options and I ended up going with the ombré. I've never done ombré before and she blew it out of the park! She did an absolutely amazing job and even suggested some designs on a couple of the nails I would've never gotten. After reading reviews on several nail salons I chose to go to QV nails and I'm so glad I did - what a relaxing experience! The salon itself is a quiet little hideaway - having just 6 brand new stations - not the loud crazy experience of a mall salon. It was by far the most relaxing pedi and mani I have ever had - they didn't rush (it was about 45 minutes) and what an amazing massage - in the end my feet and hands felt great. This was my first time at this nail salon and Lihn did my nails and did an AMAZING JOB! I mentioned to someone else that I loved the marble on nails and she surprised me with a marble nail! She also used glow in the dark powder and my nails turned out so beautiful! They were always smiling, checking on us, making sure we were comfortable, and trying to have little conversations with us about our day and life. Overall, I came here as the boyfriend who was just supposed to "tag along," and somehow ended up enjoying the experience too. Good service, relaxing pedicure, friendly staff, and a really convenient spot if you want to make a whole date out of it with a movie, food, coffee, and nails. We'd definitely come back.
