First time here today since my regular girl where I go was sick. Place is beautiful inside, and plenty of workers there. I made an appointment with Lynn for my nails, since reviews on her were great! She did a wonderful job on my nails. I'm picky, so I am glad I went with her. Julie did my pedicure, honestly she was very quick, not very meticulous, and the massage was weak. Their prices are more than double of my usual place, so not sure Id be coming back anytime soon. They do serve mimosa's or other beverages if you like. They were very busy at 10AM. The guy really rushed through my nails for $60, I would expect better. It seems like I painted my nails at home, actually worse. It's powered dip nails with extension. I can't believe I got this service for that amount. My pedicure was really awesome, though, so I think it's the problem of the guy who did my nails. I came here as a walk in looking to get a full set and gel pedicure. Pedicure was perfectly fine but the full set is horrible. My cuticles weren't cleaned and usually when I get full sets done I am asked to wash my hands before proceeding but Calvin did not ask me to he just continued to paint over them with the file dust on top on my nails. My daughter and I walked in with the intention of getting gel manicures and actually my daughter really wanted to try acrylics for the first time. Little did we know about this fairly new technique called "dipping powder", in which the actual color you choose is the color of this very fine powder. The prices are fair and pretty comparable to others. Gel manicure about $27 and this powder technique was $32. They have kind of an a la carte pricing menu in which you can add different services (french manicure, acrylic tips, that they call tips, etc). The lady that helped us was named Lynn, wow she was so sweet and explained the process and the benefits of the brand that they use (Nexgen), that being that the powder contains calcium and vitamin E, so your nails are actually protected and nourished. Calvin did my nails, while Lynn did my daughters. Calvin was quick, but meticulous and was happy to explain the process as he was going along and answer my questions about the new technique. My daughter and I are sooooo pleased with our nails and cannot wait to return to see how our nails are once the powder is removed and a new application (or set as they call them) is done. They have tons of colors to choose from (I think 200 or so). There is definitely a different feeling with the Nexgen nails, there is a weight to them, if you will, almost like I'm wearing ultra short acrylics. However, I love the clean line of them, and they feel super duper strong. We will return in about 3-4 weeks for new ones. Can't wait! read more

I came here because I needed to get a Gel Manicure & so I did, huge mistake. Let's start. The young man who did my nails kept stopping to check his messages. Unprofessional. Whatever. He made a mistake and there was a black spot on my nails, he complains to the manager and she says, is it really a big deal? I said yes, so he fixed it while he continued to gossip about me in his language. I do not understand what they were saying but I can read body language. Typical Nail Salon cliche, nail technicians gossiping about their clients. Seriously? After I was finished I wanted to check my nails to make sure they look good & the manager says to. I don't know why you are checking your nails, we never have anyone do this. I said, when I pay for a service I want it to be done right. Then she says, If your money is so worth spending then you should just do it yourself at home. As a person who has their own business, I found this very rude. I don't see many people with my issue & I don't know why I was treated like this. As I was getting ready to pay & leave, she keeps asking me where I am from. Why is that any of your business? On top of that, my nails look absolutely disgusting. Less than 24 hours of having them done and they are already chipping & 2 of the nails are smudged. Horrible nail & customer service. read more

This place is pretty good but I have to reserve judgment until I try it a few more times. The pedi was reasonably price and a lot better than a lot of other places in Simi. My girl took a lot of time and made sure it was dry before putting my sandals back on. Some places get busy and will rush you out...not here. I also got nex gen on my natural nails with a younger man and he was very nice and they came out nice but kind of thick. I'm not sure if this is normal but I like them but don't love them. Also it's $30 and doesn't include a mani, just application which I wish they would have clarified because I think I needed my cuticles pushed back more. read more

I love this nail spa! Been here several times for pedicures and they always do a great job! Everyone is always so sweet & friendly. This recent visit was especially wonderful as they had expanded & remodeled their shop, nice decor and all new beautiful, comfortable spa chairs! It was a peaceful/relaxing experience. Julie did a fantastic job on my pedicure! She was gentle and thorough. I have super sensitive feet/toes and she was very sweet towards me when I asked her to avoid a couple things :o). I'm so disappointed that I have had the experience I had today. I've been frequenting this salon for years and have always felt welcomed and left feeling happy with my experience and nails. I've always been a supporter of this nail salon and all the wonderful techs. Today was not the case. I'm not sure if the nail tech's name was Mona or not, as she refused to repeat her name, but as soon as she realized I had acrylic nails on instead of gel her attitude toward me changed drastically. She was very irritated that it would take a little longer to remove than gel nails. She put my nails in a bowl of hot acetone and told me to scrub them for over 10 minutes. The real kicker here? She charged me $10 for me doing 90% of the work to remove them. (Gel removal is free when getting a new gel manicure). She also nicked the same finger/spot 3 times even after I asked her politely to be careful because it hurt, so it felt like she was being careless. I got gel French tip and when I paid the $51 for everything in cash (they're not doing the discount for cash payments anymore), I took a good look at my nails in the car. They did not look like clean, well maintained nails. There were edges of white paint missing and some white paint spread down onto my nail top so it looked messy. As I was still in the parking lot I called Lynn who said to come back in so she could check them out. She said she could fix them but then had Mona working on them again. It was tense and I felt very uncomfortable. Mona refused to let me fully show her and explain the issues and just grabbed my fingers to start painting more white on the corners of my nails. She had them cure a few times then just got up and said "after 30 seconds you're done" and walked away. I just walked out and no one said a word. So uncomfortable and disappointing. I gave a star because they tried (??) to help. I won't be back. read more

I can't say enough about the team here at this salon!! I went in there on a fluke to fix a set that I had done previously by another salon. I am still breastfeeding my 5mo old baby and so I drag her along with me everywhere. Calvin was amazing and patient and everyone in there made me feel at ease while she fussed a little. They worked with me and my baby's needs. Yes it took a little longer because I had to have the other set soaked off. But I can't say enough positive and good things. I'll even go there for my fills.
