I was disappointed in the manicurist. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately that's not all there is to it! A good manicurist pays attention to the details of the craft. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and after I was put on the spa chair I was handed a menu of options to choose from. Felt unheard or misunderstood when I asked for a regular pedicure and still get a menu after I've been soaking my feet. I had asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was less than standards. She didn't remove the hangnail I had and felt she created more rather than removing it properly. I needed to direct her over and over again. She cut my skin. Didn't cut my toe nails down enough as I had requested. They were also not filed properly as after a couple of days I was in pain again. The nail polish was eh, for lack of a better word, and the cotton she used to separate my toes stuck onto the last two toes and I had toilet paper dry onto my nail-bed which looked gross after I ripped it off. The gel manicure was less than "okay" I asked for a simple color but I think my 5 year old niece would have done a better job painting my nails. Add salt to injury, two days later 2 of my 10 nails just cracked and fell off. I mean completely pooped out. The entire gel. Weird right? I went back, they fixed it. But then the day after 3 more fell off. I demanded a whole new set, and I said I would stop by after work (5:30pm) they were busy told me to come back again the next day which I didn't appreciate since I was coming in with an appointment. Sadly, 2 more popped right off that day and my nails split. (There is a good way to file nails and a bad way that cause your natural nails to split and break off.) When I returned on a Saturday, I waited another 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to ask how much longer I had to wait as she disappeared to the back when she sat me in her chair. At first, I felt She did a nice job, gave me a a change of color and I picked French Tip, as a courtesy I wasn't charged extra. I also asked for a thick tip, but looking closer, one hand was thicker than the other and my nails felt like paper. Not the usual gel comfort I am used to experiencing. I had to be extra careful because I felt they bent when I did simple tasks like open a drawer. Mind you I used short nails. I am not a manual labor kind of person. However I do type a lot! As such my nails are short not long at all! Needless to say, unfortunately they all cracked and split. Thank God I had thick French tips so when I had to file them down, they still looked normal, but keep cracking. I have yet to find a new place. I use gel, because I don't like my nails to crack, something isn't right with their products. In the 10 years I've been using gel nail polish my nails have never split or cracked. Matter of fact when I stop using gel, my nails are still strong. So I am confused. They were polite, did apologize for the inconvenience and explained that accidents happen. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they don't live up to their name, and far from "nailing it".
This place is very clean, the staff is very nice. The acrylics nails are mediocre at best. My tech stopped mid job to pray for 5 mins. She folded her hands, bowed her head and prayed. I'm OK with prayer, but not in the middle of a job your doing. My nails are not the same shape or length, the polish is lumpy. She painted my hand and waited until it was baked on before taking the drill to scrape it off. She didn't clean the nail of left over acrylic. Should have known better than to walk in to an empty salon, that takes cash only.
My gel polish lasted 3 days and then chipped. The women that work at this salon we're rude and attempted to argue with me saying that it didn't last because my nails are short. Why didn't they tell me that prior to doing the service? I also tipped her $10.00 and when I came back she was SO rude. They are only nice when they are collecting your money.

She refused to do anything other than regular polish even though I had paid for a design and repeatedly made me feel guilty for "lying" and that I was wrong- the employee next to her also came over to tell me that I wasted her time. At the end, she gave me $10 "from my tip but I was wrong so she will not give me back the money from the design" and that she doesn't care if I come back or not. Don't worry, I won't! Just wanted to share to save other people from coming here.
First of all, this shop seems to be owned by friends... The vibe from the ladies that work here is really great. Even when they are speaking in a language other than english, they translate almost everything they are saying. I don't even care if they aren't translating correctly, just the gesture means so much to me. The salon was very clean, playing easy listening, non-offensive, easy going types of tunes playing in the background on the television. I came in with an idea in mind for my gel manicure and spa pedicure. All I had to do was pull up some pictures and show them to my manicurist (she never introduced herself!), and straight to work they went looking for colors that match. In the end, the colors they helped me choose were better than the pinterest pic. I am really happy! I can't wait to return for another mani/pedi!
I called since I saw some people on here mention sometimes they have to wait. They squeezed me in almost immediately. I went in for a spa pedicure. I added the foot scrub and callus remover and ended up getting a gel pedi. All of this came to $47. At that price I'd expect a nice pedicure but didn't notice until I came home, the polish on my big toes was sloppy. It was nothing special and I've had much better for that price. I only came here because they were able to fit me in when my regular salon could not. That's probably the only way I'd be back. They still get 3 stars though for accommodating me and great service at least I came home with very smooth legs and feet.

I've been going to Lily at NAIL'D IT SPA 3885 Cochran St UNIT H, Simi Valley, CA 93063 (Cochran and Tapo Canyon) for several years now and cannot be happier. They dont use dremmels to erode your nail beds and each service is kind and personal. They are also fairly priced. They do manicures, pedicures, acrylic, gel, and whatever other kind of nail services there are available. Go treat yourselves and learn what pampering is all about!! read more

Waited for 30 mins. And they only had two customers. I got them done on Tuesday and on Sunday only a few days later two of my nails have chipped and it's a gel manicure. I think that's ridiculous. I paid $40 for my nails to last 4 days? Somethings not right. read more

This nail salon never disappoints! Very beautiful and clean work. Tina is me and mom's all time favorite she's amazing and all staff are super sweet and kind. Been coming for many years never switching. Best nail salon ever. highly recommend their art. read more

First time here and the last. I went in based on yelp reviews and to my surprise the place was under staffed. I needed a simple pedi and mani. My nails we're not buffed out and the new nail polish looks clumpy. something I could have down myself at home. Very disappointed! The owner kept asking me if u was happy this after having her fix several mistakes I had found. I felt bad for her and the other lady. read more

I'm actually writing this review in my car after just visiting with my 2 year old daughter. My experience was that good, I just have to put a review up now. My manicure was fast and Tina was very thorough. It was really refreshing to have someone listen to what I wanted and not just rush through my manicure. No one cuts my cuticles well so I usually do it all myself. I will definitely be back! ALSO... Tina was amazing with my daughter and gave her the first mani pedi she's ever had at a salon. My kiddo loved it. We cant wait to come back. read more

Terrible. I was their only costumer and somehow they were still in a rush. They didn't even get any of the sides of my nails. Didn't file my nails well. Just awful!! Should've known there was something wrong with this place when i walked in and i was the only one here. read more
I came here for the first time over the weekend and I have to say it's one of the best nail salons I've been to in Simi Valley. I'm honestly jealous that I don't live here anymore. I wish there was one in Santa Monica. The lady who did my nails (I think her name was Natalie) was so kind and friendly towards me. She took the time to walk over to the magazines and bring me a stack so I wouldn't get bored during the time she was doing my nails. And she did a phenomenal job on my spa pedicure. I asked her for a white color with a light pink flower and with the help of her coworkers she found the exact shade of light pink I was looking for. Then, she was so meticulous in doing my nails and took the time to make sure it looked perfect. I honestly can't stop looking at my toes and it's already been a couple of days. The design is so clean and it looks professional. I definitely will be coming back here every time I am in town. You can tell that the staff are caring, intelligent people and the place is so clean. And it was only $17 for a spa pedicure. That's a steal in my neighborhood. Especially for an amazing pedicure. read more

This is my favorite nail spa in Simi. I have been going here for over a year now and am never disappointed. I have a 7 year old daughter who also gets a mani pedi as well they're great with kids!! We will continue to come back and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes after my appt time. They also do the most beautiful nail desigbs! read more
1) For a $35 fill in I expect that my nails will at least come out STRAIGHT and not wavy.The tops of all my nails look like ~ 2) A few of my nails also "cave in" and are uneven. 3) The paint job is not even. 4) I also asked for a manicure to clean up the cuticle / dead skin on the sides of the nails. This botched fill-in took an hour and a half so I said screw it to the manicure. 5) each nail has a different and noticeable thickness Gave 2 stars for his patience and kindness but the quality is crap. read more

I love this place so much! The place is bright and open and VERY CLEAN! They always have the best class rock and soul music playing. No chemical smell either. Howie gives the best pedicure ever! His massage is soooooooooooo good! And you must get the scrub! I can't believe how long my nails last after I get them done here! At least a week with regular mani. No gel. They use great products and have awesome prices. $35 for a mani pedi. read more

I've been to this salon before but it was only to get my upper lip waxed. Today, I was very fortunate to land an appointment an hour before the salon was supposed to open. I informed Rose that I planned on getting acrylics, eyebrows waxed, lips waxed, and perhaps get a pedicure. Rose was very conversational and informed me during the process of my manicure because it was my first time getting acrylics. As always, she did an amazing job waxing my hair. And for the pedicure, it was perfectly executed. read more
