Waited for 30 mins. And they only had two customers. I got them done on Tuesday and on Sunday only a few days later two of my nails have chipped and it's a gel manicure. I think that's ridiculous. I paid $40 for my nails to last 4 days? Somethings not right.

I was disappointed in the manicurist. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately that's not all there is to it! A good manicurist pays attention to the details of the craft. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and after I was put on the spa chair I was handed a menu of options to choose from. Felt unheard or misunderstood when I asked for a regular pedicure and still get a menu after I've been soaking my feet. I had asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was less than standards. She didn't remove the hangnail I had and felt she created more rather than removing it properly. I needed to direct her over and over again. She cut my skin. Didn't cut my toe nails down enough as I had requested. They were also not filed properly as after a couple of days I was in pain again. The nail polish was eh, for lack of a better word, and the cotton she used to separate my toes stuck onto the last two toes and I had toilet paper dry onto my nail-bed which looked gross after I ripped it off. The gel manicure was less than "okay" I asked for a simple color but I think my 5 year old niece would have done a better job painting my nails. Add salt to injury, two days later 2 of my 10 nails just cracked and fell off. I mean completely pooped out. The entire gel. Weird right? I went back, they fixed it. But then the day after 3 more fell off. I demanded a whole new set, and I said I would stop by after work (5:30pm) they were busy told me to come back again the next day which I didn't appreciate since I was coming in with an appointment. Sadly, 2 more popped right off that day and my nails split. (There is a good way to file nails and a bad way that cause your natural nails to split and break off.) When I returned on a Saturday, I waited another 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to ask how much longer I had to wait as she disappeared to the back when she sat me in her chair. At first, I felt She did a nice job, gave me a a change of color and I picked French Tip, as a courtesy I wasn't charged extra. I also asked for a thick tip, but looking closer, one hand was thicker than the other and my nails felt like paper. Not the usual gel comfort I am used to experiencing. I had to be extra careful because I felt they bent when I did simple tasks like open a drawer. Mind you I used short nails. I am not a manual labor kind of person. However I do type a lot! As such my nails are short not long at all! Needless to say, unfortunately they all cracked and split. Thank God I had thick French tips so when I had to file them down, they still looked normal, but keep cracking. I have yet to find a new place. I use gel, because I don't like my nails to crack, something isn't right with their products. In the 10 years I've been using gel nail polish my nails have never split or cracked. Matter of fact when I stop using gel, my nails are still strong. So I am confused. They were polite, did apologize for the inconvenience and explained that accidents happen. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they don't live up to their name, and far from "nailing it".

This place is very clean, the staff is very nice. The acrylics nails are mediocre at best. My tech stopped mid job to pray for 5 mins. She folded her hands, bowed her head and prayed. I'm OK with prayer, but not in the middle of a job your doing. My nails are not the same shape or length, the polish is lumpy. She painted my hand and waited until it was baked on before taking the drill to scrape it off. She didn't clean the nail of left over acrylic. Should have known better than to walk in to an empty salon, that takes cash only.

My gel polish lasted 3 days and then chipped. The women that work at this salon we're rude and attempted to argue with me saying that it didn't last because my nails are short. Why didn't they tell me that prior to doing the service? I also tipped her $10.00 and when I came back she was SO rude. They are only nice when they are collecting your money.

I had a really great pedicure here which was overshadowed by my experience with my manicure (which was done by the owner). I wasn't happy with the design I got and felt it was off from what I wanted but felt bad saying anything...when I got home I realized I couldn't sit with them for 2 weeks, esp after paying $10 extra for them, so they said I could come back. When I walked in, she was clearly talking about me and continued to while she took off my other polish. I felt completely mortified and uncomfortable. She refused to do anything other than regular polish even though I had paid for a design and repeatedly made me feel guilty for "lying" and that I was wrong- the employee next to her also came over to tell me that I wasted her time. At the end, she gave me $10 "from my tip but I was wrong so she will not give me back the money from the design" and that she doesn't care if I come back or not. Don't worry, I won't! Just wanted to share to save other people from coming here.

First of all, this shop seems to be owned by friends... The vibe from the ladies that work here is really great. Even when they are speaking in a language other than english, they translate almost everything they are saying. I don't even care if they aren't translating correctly, just the gesture means so much to me. The salon was very clean, playing easy listening, non-offensive, easy going types of tunes playing in the background on the television. I came in with an idea in mind for my gel manicure and spa pedicure. All I had to do was pull up some pictures and show them to my manicurist (she never introduced herself!), and straight to work they went looking for colors that match. In the end, the colors they helped me choose were better than the pinterest pic. I am really happy! I can't wait to return for another mani/pedi!

I called since I saw some people on here mention sometimes they have to wait. They squeezed me in almost immediately. I went in for a spa pedicure. I added the foot scrub and callus remover and ended up getting a gel pedi. All of this came to $47. At that price I'd expect a nice pedicure but didn't notice until I came home, the polish on my big toes was sloppy. It was nothing special and I've had much better for that price. I only came here because they were able to fit me in when my regular salon could not. That's probably the only way I'd be back. They still get 3 stars though for accommodating me and great service at least I came home with very smooth legs and feet.

Normally I won't ever write a bad review but wow this place is awful. I booked an appointment for me and my sister on a Friday at 5:30. Not only did we have to wait 45 minutes, but then they charged me a fee for "overtime". Also this was the result of my sisters nails when we showed her this picture ... seriously? I was done within 30 minutes but by sister had 3 different ladies working on her. She told them all she wanted her nails shorter but they told her it wasn't possible. So this was the outcome... I've never left a nail salon angry, especially paying over $80 for nails... I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Overall I am happy with the manicure I had done, my only complaints are that my nails were not shaped evenly, and a little crooked, and they were pretty but not exactly what I wanted. I wanted the color to be different than how it turned out but they were well done, lasted a while, and were very elegant. read more

First visit two months ago was wonderful and gave them a five star review. Today will be the last time we go here. The service is ok and the ladies are nice until the tip comes. A tip is OPTIONAL. It is up to the customer what they should pay when it comes to a tip if they choose to give one. We overpaid in tip and it apparently wasn't enough. I have NEVER been to a nail salon where they complain about a tip in their own language loudly to each other and all of them come at the customer forcefully with a complaint. SO RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL Humble yourselves and work on your customer service. read more

Been coming here for a few months now and always leave happy! They're all very sweet and outgoing. Wait times aren't too bad either if you're doing a walk in during the week; however, it's better to make an appointment even if it's only a little bit of notice as they're very accommodating. Have had Lily and Tina do my nails and have never had any issues. Have also referred them to a few friends and they were happy with their services as well. 10/10 recommend! read more

IF i could give MINUS stars, it would be 5!!!! I dropped my grand daughters off to get their nails and toes done....what should have cost me $17 for a regular fill cost me $35!!! WHY??? simple, they paid no attention to what i told them i wanted and used some glitter gel to fill her nails. Now if either of us could have understood what the lady was saying maybe she would have told her NO.....but regardless if how it happened, it never should have happened! My bill should have been TOTAL of $30 max!!! Never setting foot in there again and will definitely tell everyone I know not to patronize them read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my nails and so far I've been happy here. I usually see Tina or Howie and I've had Donna a couple times too, and they've all done a good job on my nails. They are usually pretty efficient as well and the salon is airy and clean with no obnoxious nail salon odor and good music. They do tend to get busy at certain times of the day and week, so although not always necessary, I've gotten into the habit of calling ahead so I don't have to wait or waste time going when they are too packed to take me. The fact they they do get busy is a good sign though. If you're looking for a good salon in Simi you should try it out! read more

I came in to get acrylics on and I'm very picky about how they look. I hate the bulky looking type and always strive to get the best natural look. Howie took such great care of me and took all of my suggestions seriously and did the best set I've ever had. He used the Organic gel which makes my nails feel so light! I'm so impressed and very pleased. Definitely found my new nail salon!! read more

This is THE BEST nail salon around! I was so impressed , first by the cleanliness. Tina and Howie are great! Howie spent extra time to make sure the gel color on my nails was perfect. First time I ever received 3 coats of polish and 2 coats of top coat. Tina gave me The BEST flower on my toes that I've EVER had!!! My mom and I came here for pedicures. We were greeted with friendly smiles and a very clean salon with a relaxing atmosphere. Impressive nail polish color selection, Massaging chairs, wonderful pleasant polite people. Tina, Rosa, and peter were great. They took their time, were gentle, and did a beautiful job. First time customer for a regular mani. I came with gel nails from another salon and wanted to get a regular manicure because I can't have gel nails at work. I called ahead of time because I went late in the day to see if they could still take me and they said yes. I definitely should not have gone. The original color I wanted was so watered down that it was basically a clear coat, so I told her i didn't like it. Instead of restarting it on fresh nails, she layered it on top of the color I didn't like. She was just trying to finish as quickly and was super sloppy. I kept asking her to fix the nails that were sloppy, but she was clearly frustrated and just wanted to leave. I don't care about horrible service, but if you're going to be rude, you need to at least do your job correctly! read more

I've tried a lot of nail salons, and this place impressed me. The inside is clean, well-decorated, and plays my favorite music. They also have a ton of gel color options. What stood out to me the most was how friendly, conversational, and patient the staff was, especially considering that I took a really long time picking out nail colors (which is a bad habit of mine that has annoyed nail salon staff in the past). Tina, one of the owners, did my manicure, and she did a careful job with my nails and corrected any mistakes along the way. She also had me double and triple-check my nails to make sure I liked the shape. She was so friendly and seems to take a lot of pride in her salon. The experience was truly relaxing, especially since none of the staff tried to pressure me or my aunt into a more expensive upgrade or hurry us out the door. I'm definitely coming back. read more

This place was great! Friendly service, very clean, nice massage chairs, and they did the cutest little flower design on my toes! If I had to find a slight criticism, it would be that the foot/leg massage could be better/firmer... but my toes look so amazing that I really can't complain! Best $32 spa pedi ever!!! read more

Rose did a great job! I did have to wait 25 min for her to be done with another customer, but it was worth it. Seems like a clean environment and didn't smell like chemicals at all! Which is rare for a nail salon. I will definitely be coming back! read more

The lady that did my nails was great! The best I've had and she continuously asked if I liked what she's doing or if there was something I wanted done or changed. She knew I had a time limit so she was fast and efficient. Then they started getting busy and she was bouncing from me to another woman which I was fine with. Then she started making calls to clients who left her a voicemail while she was doing my nail. She was still fast but she was no longer efficient. I went in for a simple french tip with red underlining it. She red line wasn't dry enough so it got on the white, she fixed the 1 nail but didn't bother to do the rest and she even missed some spots on the top coat so I ended up fixing it myself. I got my eyebrows done as well but from another lady and she did good and also gave me a little massage which was nice. She was precise about her work. I went to pay and the lady who did my nail ended up adding another top coat as I was walking out which I had to wait to dry and ended up denting some nail polish getting my keys out of my purse and I ended up late. I'm willing to give them another shot since they got so many good reviews, I just wont be going there during their busy time and probably wont be getting the same lady. Apparently they're empty in the morning so I'll see how that goes and they were pricey compared to other places I've gone and they've done better even when they're busy. read more

My usual nail salon is closed on Mondays and I decided to try Nail'd It! Spa on a whim, which was open on Mondays. I got an acrylic fill with Tina. I was in and out of there in an hour. Overall the experience was pleasant and I didn't get pressured into gel acrylics or any kind of up-sale, which was nice. I had Tina file down the length of my long acrylic nail and she didn't charge me anything for that. My only complaint is that she got the acrylic on my cuticles and the acrylic was lumpy. They look like "fake nails." I did not notice this until I was out in the sunshine. The salon is kept dark and inside the salon, my nails looked pretty good. I will not be going back. I give this place 3 stars because I've had worse acrylics and I've also had way better. read more

This place is by far the best! My sister in law referred me to Rose and I have been going to her ever since!! She's amazing! She does waxing as well and she is so gentle and quick and makes sure that she gets you as clean and baby smooth as possible! I would highly recommend this place and Rose! First time here. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and most importantly, a great mani and pedi. If I could have given it a 4.5, I might have as it's rather small and sparsely decorated. Went here for the first time, they were busy but very professional they did not jump from one customer to another like some places: trying to get the most walk in's. After my great pedicure ( where they don't hand you a menu & ask which one you want? ) whatever happened to the basic spa pedicure for the price advertised. Some of the women I recognized from another place I used to go, but the employee's kept changing quickly, which is a sign of poor management. I will be a returning customer Rose did an excellent job. read more

This place was AMAZING!!! My sister, her MIL, and I wanted to get mani/pedis that same afternoon on a Thursday. We called Nail'd It and they were able to fit all 3 of us in within the hour! We had exemplary service and all of our nails were on point!!! I highly recommend this place!! read more

I see Linh here for my pedicures and my gel manicures - she's the best. My manicures last 3 weeks! Pedicures last longer than that. Linh makes great conversation and her prices are terrific. She is only there on weekends tho, so make an appointment. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the place could use some TV or other distractions besides the 70's music playing on a loop. The rest of the staff is very friendly and the place is pretty quiet. read more

I really appreciate the care for cleanliness here. They use a new plastic liner in the tubs for spa pedicures and it appeared that they use new tools for each person, they were in an unopened package although I did not see what she did with them afterward. Linn did my pedicure and I am happy with the result. She was very sweet as well. The manicure was done by a different lady, didn't get her name, and it is pretty decent, a few little mess ups but nothing that ruins the overall aesthetic. I would have liked more care in the massage portion, it's probably my favorite part and it was a bit lacking, particularly during the manicure. Overall, clean and affordable and pleasing! I had a appointment and i guess it was towards closing time that the lady doing my acrylics was trying to rush out that she put one of the nails off centered and she tried to say that was just my finger until she actually looked at it. The whole thing looks lumpy and thick. I asked for a coffin shaped and it just looked squared and one pointy. Never went back read more

This place is okay. They were super friendly, but they didn't do that great of a job. I got a fill and a color change and they didn't put enough coats on and their coats were soppy too. Especially when they got busy they just rushed doing my nails even more just to get me out the door. Nice place but I wouldn't recommend for an acrylic fill. read more

If I could give minus 10 stars I would. My daughter and I just had the most embarrassing experience here. She wanted to get a full set ( very very short to help grow out her nails. She is 14 yrs old), but when the lady saw my daughter's nails she said that the nail bed was too short and gross. There was 2 other people there and my daughter started crying of embarrassment. No I am sorry we can't do your nails, just utter humiliation. We will never ever go back.. read more

I saw Howie this morning and he was AMAZING. I didn't have an appointment and showed up right when they opened. I had to wait a few minutes for someone to get there to help me because the one woman who was there already had a customer ahead of me. But luckily, Howie showed up a few minutes later and was able to get me in and out with a full set and a pedicure in an hour and 15 minutes. I had told him that I needed to leave at a certain time to make it to my work on time, and he WORKED his ass off to make that happen. He even made enough time to fit in a callous treatment because I told him I'd be traveling overseas in a few days and wanted soft feet. By the time he was done, he was dripping sweat (on the floor, not on me lol) and I can tell you that he really EARNED the tip he got, which is rare these days when it comes to nail professionals. The best nail Spa in Simi Valley- Everyone knows Rose and Tina are the girls to see if you want your nails done right- They take their time, they area so friendly, and I just adore having my nails done by them time and time again. They treat me like family; which is more than anyone can ask for! The Salon is clean clean CLEAN!!! SO CLEAN! and it is such an enjoyable experience, you can really get away and relax while you're there. The color selection is amazing, the they have the latest when it comes to Gel manicures. If you're not comfortable dealing with an ingrown, that's completely fine--but don't make the situation worse by doing something that isn't helping. Overall, the service felt rushed, careless, and painful. I paid for a relaxing pedicure and left with a bruised foot and a more irritated ingrown toenail. Definitely not an experience I would recommend.

I went to the front to pay and asked the guy at the front desk (who is always pushy and not the most welcoming) why I was being charged different prices in which he responded it's $62 always for bio gel with or without color. So now, no one is on the same page and I've been told 3 different prices. Annoyed is an understatement. On top of this, the workers sit in the booths while they have no clients with their shoes off and dirty feet propped up on the benches which is not only gross, but super unprofessional. It's a shame the place is tan this way, it's a huge turnoff. Especially being treated like you're in the wrong when none of them are on the same page. I looked at the reviews and I feel better knowing it wasn't only me that saw the issues here. Won't be going back anymore.

I had a gift card from 2005 and have been saving it all these years until I came back to Simi (I moved out of state right after high school). No expiration is on the gift card and if the business has new owners the gift card still legally is valid because the new owner takes on the businesses debts and accounting. My gift card was for $60. I got a $25 service so I should of had $35 left. The owner did not want to accept the card. His argument was that they dont look like that anymore. My argument is who cares if their designed changed. The money was still allocated and no expiration on card. I figured the owner would have gotten a kick out of just how long I've been hanging onto the thing for. Instead he ripped up the whole gift card (so I lost out on the $35 remainder) and told me to leave. As a business owner you should know that unless the card explicitly has an expiration date or is a promotional card then they need to honor it. That is what's right. Not ripping it up and kicking the customer out.

This small shop is located near Jamba juice within the strip mall. I have been to this nail salon several times and have never had any issues with my experience. As I don't have a specific person that I liked to work with, I have had the experience of working with multiple staff members and have always been pleased with my experience. And the staff members are not offended when you ask them to modify or do touch ups. I appreciate that they are willing to help me find the perfect color. And when I come in with a picture, they are willing to find the color that matches my interest, rather than just sending me to a wall to find my color choice--which is impossible to find in a sea of colors. As I never make reservations in advance, I have been fortunate to never wait when I walk in. The salon does take reservations, and you can request a specific person. Note for tips, you cannot put them on your credit card. You need to bring cash for tips. As for parking, plenty of parking around the shop. Given the gym is nearby the parking lot can get busy so you may need to walk a bit further.

Again, it was also the least relaxing experience because they couldn't even get the basic design right. I will only be going to Nancy at Elegant Nails from now on. She does french perfect and doesn't up charge. Again, I wouldn't be upset with the price being $13 extra for french tip if they were good quality. There's streaks in the pink from it being rushed and there's streaks of white as well.
