When I came back to Simi, I visited several nail salons all over town. Each experience was worse than the one before it. I nearly gave up hope until my Mom suggested I try Chanail. She said some of her church-going girlfriends frequented the place. My first visit was fantastic, and I have been a consistent patron of this salon ever since. Sometimes when i go in for my fill it doesn't even look like i need one. They recently remodeled and it looks so nice and clam. So I went here today because I'm getting MARRIED! I wanted a pinkish tone long square shape and this is what I got..... I paid $90 for this! The WORST acrylic nails I've ever gotten. She SLAPPED acrylic all over my nails and didn't even smooth it out. I went home and immediately filed them off. Should have made her do it but I was so pissed I didn't want to cause a scene. Went here for a quick pedicure before the Holiday because it is close to home. Honestly just a terrible experience all the way around. They are very nice, however their expertise is just not there. Maybe I'm just spoiled from my regular salon. My pedicure was super splotchy and she had to redo one toe three times. I'm so disappointed that my toes look the way they do. This was my first time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. I walked in and asked to have my acrylics removed so I could start fresh and then have a full set of pink and whites put on. They were a little busy so they asked if it would be okay to come back in a little over an hour. No problem at all. I come back and sit down with Cindy(I believe that's what her name is) and kept insisting that I wanted my acrylics removed. They tried to talk me out of it but after insisting that I wanted them off they said okay. I had come in with a picture of how I wanted my nails to look and Cindy made that happen. She was gentle and cut me only once and I didn't even notice until she said "oops sorry". I had been going to another salon for many years and my nails never held up. They would always break and I got tired of throwing money away every two weeks. I am so beyond happy with my nails!! I will definitely be coming back here! All the women do a great job; Lynn is my fingernail goddess. Perfect pink and whites, and not thick & chunky. Clean, clean, clean. Every pedicure, a fresh sanatized bag of tools comes out. Additionally on your 1st visit to them they issue you your own pumice bar in a baggie so that you never use one used by others. Think about it! I have been going to Chanail for quite a few years now and I always leave happy. I do not go to anyone specific because I really do think all the girls do a great job. I don't have them anymore, but when I used to have acrylics no one did as good a job as Chanail. The pedicures are always nice especially because of how clean the pedicure chairs are. I followed my mom here and we've both been long time clients of theirs.. I get acrylics by Vivienne and I'm quite picky about how I need my nails to look and feel. I've never had to ask her to change how she does them because they're always perfect and affordable. There have been times when Vivienne wasn't available and I had to get my manicure(and plenty of pedicures) from at least one of each of the other girls- they're all exceptional. More than anything their personable! They remember things I've told them in the past about my life and they ask me about everything when I come back.
