I am super picky when it comes to my nails and this place did not disappoint. I walked in right as they opened on a Friday morning and good thing I did because I was one of only 2 walk ins that were accommodated and the other girl had to come back in a couple hours. What I'm trying to get at is they were fully booked for the day, that's how much their customers like them. I will be going back! As someone who has a nail tech license (and been practicing since 2019), I highly recommend this place. I got regular pedicure service (regular nail polish) and this service had everything we were taught as students. This includes the cuticle removal, scrub, and short massage. Pedicures are pretty much the only service I will go out and pay for since I can do my own hands. I really appreciate their practice in sanitization and cleanliness. I've tried quite a few other salons before and their setting makes me feel a little nervous. The salon is in a shared plaza, so there is plenty of parking. My service was $25. Weird how my usual nail tech is always busy now every time I try to schedule an appointment. They now say they will "get back to me" about the appointment time when I ask if a certain day or time is available. Before I can say it doesn't have to be that day or time, I get hung up on & never get a call back. I always tip over 20% & am never rude or disrespectful, so idk why they would turn down business unless they are racist or becoming very selective. I understand if it has to do with the specific glitter color my daughter requested for, but I don't understand why the nail technician left so many gaps between the nail polish and the nail beds. But she took care of me, and the owner helped find the perfect color for what I wanted. He look the time to get to know me and take care of me!! Total was $45 I believe? Adding another review. Last one was before pandemic, this is for the current situation: Le Nails has always gone above and beyond in their cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. Everyone who gives services there is very talented, pays attention to detail and is friendly. Helen is very gentle and sweet and I love Kevin's work as well. Diane is super outgoing and great as well! It's such a good vibe at Le Nails. Along with all that, Le nails follows all the safety protocols during this pandemic. They have hand sanitizer, a sink to wash hands, plastic barrier between guest and service provider and everyone wears their mask. Being an esthetician, I always have to have my nails short. But with facials being on pause now, I decided to get and enjoy long acrylics! Kevin now does my nails and oh, what a wonderful job he did! He pays so much attention to detail and balance. I had really high hopes for this place I got a few referrals to go here so I went and I really wish I didn't! I had an event that night and I had a bunch of running around to do but it looks like they used either really bad nail polish gel or it didn't set and it didn't dry and they all smudged off by the night time! It was like they were wet like it was regular nail polish it was so gross and it got everywhere so I had to take time out of my day the next day to go back and get my nails redone and I asked her not to do any more filing and take any links and when they came to redo the nails they filed all my nails down so incredibly short that it hurts On top of that she didn't go all the way to the nail bed and this was Thursday it's now Monday and they're already peeling this is ridiculous is there not a good nail place in Simi Valley May gawd! read more
