i actually really liked the bio gel extensions i got / gel manicure i got. i came with thick crazy acrylics from another salon and it did take a while to soak everything off my nails.. but afterwards, he only put the extension gel on the 3 nails that needed it - and everything else got a standard gel manicure. it's been a month and they're in great condition. if you aren't going to complicated... this is 100% the salon to go to in simi valley/moorpark area. read more

This nail salon can be found in a shopping complex off Madera and Royal in Simi Valley. Within this complex, you can find 24-hour fitness and a grocery store. This small shop is located near Jamba juice within the strip mall. I have been to this nail salon several times and have never had any issues with my experience. As I don't have a specific person that I liked to work with, I have had the experience of working with multiple staff members and have always been pleased with my experience. And the staff members are not offended when you ask them to modify or do touch ups. I appreciate that they are willing to help me find the perfect color. And when I come in with a picture, they are willing to find the color that matches my interest, rather than just sending me to a wall to find my color choice--which is impossible to find in a sea of colors. As I never make reservations in advance, I have been fortunate to never wait when I walk in. The salon does take reservations, and you can request a specific person. Note for tips, you cannot put them on your credit card. You need to bring cash for tips. As for parking, plenty of parking around the shop. Given the gym is nearby the parking lot can get busy so you may need to walk a bit further. read more

I hate to write this review because I genuinely love their work. They did a beautiful job on my nails and pedicure, and the staff has always been kind. That's what makes this so disappointing. Unfortunately, the way they handle payments is not professional. After my pedicure, I went to pay (with a cash tip) and was asked to send my payment through Zelle. I've paid cash in the past, so this was a bit different, but I understood. I was given a laminated card with a phone number and name, entered the information into Zelle, and the man assisting me confirmed everything before I sent it. After completing the payment, Zelle showed that the user was not registered. At that point, a woman told me not to use Zelle because it "wasn't working." I was then told they would charge my card instead, and if the Zelle payment ever went through, they would refund me. About a week later, the Zelle payment did go through ($74). I went back to the salon that Saturday and spoke with the same woman. She remembered me and asked me to write down my information for a refund, but seemed rushed and quickly moved on. It's now Tuesday, and I still haven't received a refund, even after also submitting a request through Zelle. This is really disappointing because I thought I had found my go-to salon. Their work is great, but handling payments this way is not okay. Getting my nails done is a treat for me, and I can't afford to be charged twice. I truly hope they improve their payment process because they do great work. But as of now, this experience makes it hard to return. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews... but this was the worst experience i've ever had at a nail salon. Although we made an appointment we had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. I requested a soak off and the manager Jimmy changed the nail bit about 10 times harshly drilling the gel off before he stuck my hands in a tiny bowl. He tried to pry the polish off with an old nail tip so i had to remind him again that i wanted a SOAK OFF. The bowl made my hands cramp up since my fingers were shoved so i asked if i could get a bigger bowl. The lady who came after said oh and then continued to drill the gel off, DESPITE asking at least 5 times for a SOAK OFF. After nicking my skin and causing me to say "ouch" she told me "you're sensitive" despite the redness clearly shown in my nails. Jimmy's station still had the old nail clippings from the previous client which was quite gross and honestly unexceptable. When "finished" there is still noticeable gel on the nails. After confronting they claimed it was because I "didn't want to put my hands in the acetone" despite me just asking for a bigger bowl instead. Went home with sore, sensitive nails, with gel still attached and some tears shed. Bummer. read more

First, Hana did a fantastic pedicure for me. Next: I don't like leaving bad reviews but the rest of my service was the worst experience I've had in a nail salon in 15 years. My mom and I waited 45 minutes to be seen after being told they had time, they sat us in the pedicure chairs with our feet soaking in cold water for 45 minutes instead of saying 'can you come back at ___ time?' I let them know I didn't have time left so I only wanted them to remove my gelX on my hands and I just wanted a clear clean polish that was 1/4in for my job. My sister had to tell someone 4 times to stop removing her calluses because her feet were RAW, my mom said she didn't want a manicure and they told her 'no you'll get gel today' and she had to repeat herself multiple times. I had to tell them 4 times I just wanted my old nails removed and they insisted on putting builder gel OVER my old nails. 2 people worked on my hands and both of them filed my nail so close to the skin I started bleeding. The first person working on my nails kept forgetting to do my other fingers, I had to tell him 3 times 'you didn't finish my hand' he was either forgetting to remove the old polish, the extension, or buffing one, or clipping another one. They wouldn't listen and I was so frustrated, physically bleeding, and being talked over the entire time. When i started bleeding I started crying and the lady wouldn't even let me wipe my tears with a tissue. She kept telling me to put my hand in the gel warmer. The end result is horrendous. Every nail is a different shape and size, looks nothing like what I asked for, there's dust all over the top coat, and you can see the old set under the work they did. I am so heavily disappointed with this place, my mom wanted to treat me to get my nails done for my birthday and I haven't been home (here) in 4 years and now I have to find someone else to fix this mess. The salon is also wildly unsanitary. The pedicure tubs had grime on them, the tools they were using were old, and there was a stench of sewage and trash permeating the salon. read more

I do NOT recommend this place. After giving them a second chance, I realized that this place is far from being professional . I requested an ombré natural acrylic set . I arrived at 11:30 am ,When the eldest lady at the shop in the entrance started my nails she first placed them crooked , when she clipped the tip of the nail two of them broke from the sides . Instead of replacing the nails she tried to "fix" them . She realized she had another lady waiting and handed me over to the another girl to finish the work. To make the story shorter , that lady then made them thick and didn't replaced the nails . I had to return back to work . They had taken 1.5 hr and since they didn't finish. I left with my nails half way done. I returned after work for them to finish ( 30 min more ) since they had charge me the 70 dollars. And just to conclude they didn't know how to do ombré and left them far from looking what I asked for . One nail broke less than two weeks after ...I tried to give them a second chance bc things happen and they are close to my work and home .. but NEVER again ! She asked me what shape I wanted and I showed her a picture and she quickly whipped out the gel x nails with the shape I wanted and also reshaped them to match my fingers. I didn't realize how fast and classy gel x looks! I got a full set and got in and out in less than an hour! THEY FOLLOWED ME OUT OF THE SALON. Came here today to get facial waxing. I waited for 15 minutes initially, then got asked to wait about 20 more. They seemed unsure of when they could see me and I had to run a time sensitive errand, so decided to leave and go to an establishment next door to grab what I needed. To my surprise and discomfort, I saw Tammy (who was supposed to do my waxing), standing outside the window pointing at me. This caused me to get stares, and made me INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE! She left the windows, and came back to find me AGAIN a few minutes later while throwing her hands to basically say "what's going on?" I found this behavior to be VERY INAPPROPRIATE and even bizarre! You guys barely acknowledged me while I was sitting there, then had the audacity to follow me and find me? What I, or any customer does OUTSIDE OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT is none of your business! You have no right to follow people outside of your salon to see where they went and try to lure them back. Disturbing behavior and I will not be coming back. read more

I'm very disappointed with how my nails turned out. They were uneven, some were thicker than others, and the shape was inconsistent. The design looked nothing like the reference photo I showed it was supposed to be clean and elegant, but what I got looked messy and rushed. The polish was poorly applied, with streaks and smudges, and some nails weren't even fully covered. It honestly felt like no real effort or skill was put into it, as if someone was just practicing on my hands. What made it worse was being asked for a tip after such a low-quality job. I got dip nail & cat eye gel polish on top. I purposefully splurge on dip gel because I find that regular gel chips towards the end. I spent $99 + $20 tip and not even 24 hours later my thumb has a huge chip on it. Four days later now my index also has a chip. I'm pretty disappointed seeing I spent a decent amount of money and again I get dip so it can last until my next appointment. The salon itself is really nice, clean, and friendly and I did have a nice time there. However, I just wanted a basic pedicure and when I was given the menu on pedicures and told them I just wanted the basic $29 one, they were urging me to get the next one up for $39 which I wasn't particularly happy about since I just had clearly stated I just want the most basic one. I ended up getting the $39 anyways which I don't necessarily regret because it was a nice pedicure but I'm not trying to be hassled into spending more money when I'm trying to relax... I've been getting a ton of compliments on my nails and again the salon was pretty nice but I'm disappointed in the durability especially after only one day. read more

Having moved to Wood Ranch 4 1/5 years ago we were using another nail salon thats in the neighborhood. I've never been happy there so I found this place I cant remember having this good of a Pedicure in a LONG TIMEE! Teri did my toes! she was very detailed, she did all the necessary things! She was confident in her work as well, but cared what I thought! They were all very friendly there as well. I came to this salon with company a few days ago. I was waiting to see if the pain in my finger tips would subside, but it has not! I am used to having a little discomfort for about a day after getting my nails done, being that it's plastic, super glue, and acrylic. But after that, I get used to it and don't even notice the nails are there. However, these nails not only are uncomfortable, but the preparation of my natural nails for the acrylic was poorly done to the point of 24/7 pain! Some of the nails hurt so much that my fingertips get hot/swollen. I'm at the point where I want to just get them taken off, but I feel immense guilt because the salon day was a gift. I 100% believe that you will find better elsewhere. There is another place in Simi Valley called VIP Nails that I have never had a problem at. Sunny over there does amazing nails that have never had me in pain. As far as the vibe of the salon, the nail techs are friendly and some of them love to talk depending on who you get. Overall, pretty average pricing (just do not get anything more than the #3 pedicure on the list), I guess decent work, but I've definitely had better. read more

Went in for a pedicure and not exaggerating I waited 30 minutes until they were ready for me. When it's finally my turn, during the cuticle trimming, I got cut really bad! Twice! One toe on each foot. Honestly it wasn't just a little bit of blood, it was significant enough that she was applying pressure and dabbing the blood off with a cotton ball and because of this we had to wait some time to be able to paint my nails at all. She also told me she put nail glue on the cut to stop the bleeding and prevent an infection, and to remove the glue after a few hours. I have no idea if that's a legit thing, but at least to me that doesn't sound right. I can't even capture in a picture how weird my pinky toe looks. The cut part looks very dark and is hard - I can't even tell if it's glue or not. It looks scary actually and also really hurts because it rubs against the other toe. Also half of the polish came off too and I got them done yesterday. At least she was apologetic but that's really the only decent part of this. read more

Things happen and systems fail at times. Give them a break!! I work in the medical field & we have had our system go down where appts were doubled.
