Every single time I come here, I somehow end up paying way more than I expected. I called ahead with a coupon and the price was supposed to be $45. After the service, I was suddenly told I owed $80 for additional services I was never asked if I wanted. I specifically made the appointment using the coupon, and I feel like I was not given a fair choice. Be careful and always confirm the price upfront--things can add up quickly at this place. read more

Second visit to famous nails, after ok experience at Elite nails. The prices here are much better than most around here $35 for acrylic fill and nail polishes are great. I also love the cats eye polish (never scene that before) $10 more but gorgeous colors that really last. Summer is sweet and actually talks to you. I hate thick nails and she did them thinner than anyone and the look so natural. She gave me a mask,?which I asked for because they don't have a machine that vacuums the dust. This place is in need of some updating but it's more important to me to have nice people and quality service. Summer is my new girl and I will be back and super excited to find a great manicurist! read more

My experience here has always been a positive one. The customer service is really good and everyone is super friendly.

I give this place a 5 star ONLY because of Tony! He does such an amazing pedicure. So many times I've walked out because when the lady says, 10 mins it always turned into 20-30 mins HORRIBLE! Ask for Tony, he's amazing and the ONLY reason I still here!! read more

Made an appointment, was not seen for over an hour, still waiting for longer than an hour for my toes to be finished despite making two appointments for myself and my daughter. Helped people that came in after me and made my child wait 45 minutes to be seen despite making an appointment and it took over two hours for us to even leave. There's bubbles in my nails the manicurist was rude. When I asked her to make sure my nails were covered in paint. Overall terrible experience will not be back bad vibes. read more

Tagged along with a friend to get our nails done. My whole gel manicure was done in 10 minutes, meanwhile my friend had not yet been seen at all for her pedi and it was 20 minutes past our appointment time. I believe the owner was the one who worked on me. Really shoddy job. Sat with me for about nine minutes as she rushed two coats of color and 2 top coats. She even walked away before the nails were dry and just instructed me to finish on my own with the UV lamp. Super unprofessional and disappointing. The tips of most my nails look like they're dripping nail polish and there's spots completely missing top coat. There was also polish under some nails that I found later in the day that I had to peel off my skin. Will not be coming back here. read more

The operators are ok Many times when you make an appointment and then you walk in and you're waiting She'll take a walk in Customer before the person who has the appointment The owner said is not very professional this is the fourth time she has done this to me. Any of my friends have had the same experience. There was enough competition to find someone else and the price is not the best. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Worst pedicure experience I ever had!! I was cut two different times as the nail tech dug painfully in my toe to get a non painful not so bad ingrown toe nail out. I bled for 45 minutes and was so uncomfortable as the owner tried to get the bleeding to stop. They used antiseptic and alcohol and it was burning me very badly. A day later and my toe still hurts. After the bleeding finally stopped due to the owner putting nail glue in the wound after sitting there for almost 2 hours I got up and said that I would pay for my manicure but I was not going to pay for the pedicure. The owner gave me a terrible look and then said "We work hard" I was taken back that she wanted me to pay for the torture I just went through! I have gone to this salon for years but I will NEVER go back again!! read more

Recently came to this location for acrylics , which was $45 +$10 for design. Felt very rushed, rough, and the result is only cute from afar. Although the owner was friendly , their work is not the best. They cut my real nails to the brim when applying acrylic, which has never happened before at any other place I've been to. I asked for almond shape but it did not come out elegantly.... came out crusty and uneven :/ I do not recommend coming here to get acrylic nail. Environment was alright but very quiet , no music, or tv. read more

Honestly - I live in Simi but would still make the drive to SFV to get my nails done, I knew I should have just sticker to my nail spa. This place is very disappointing! I asked for a gel mani and pedi and it legit looks like my 6 year old did my nails. When the water was ready for me to dip my feet in it was so HOT my feet splashed when I got them out and the guy said it's ok it's okay until I finally told him to put his hand in there. The woman who did my nails kept cutting off my skin ir wasn't even my calls. (If I'm spelling it right. Anyway my toes turned out fine after all but see the picture attached to get a glimpse of the terrible job the women did on my nails This place needs training read more

I've been coming here since I was 13 years old.. this place is the backbone of nail salons in Simi Valley! They always do an AMAZING job on my manicure and pedicure, Cindy Works extremely hard and has many clients a day but she never says no to new customers coming in! They are old school here and I love it! Whenever I cheat on them with another salon I come running back cause nobody does it like these guys! They have my buisness forever and even if you aren't happy with the work you can always come back and they will fix it for you at no additional cost ! read more

I'm very much disappointed. It's only been 4 days after I had gel and it's already opening on top and hitting my hair when I'm shower. Means she did too think that's why that's happen. Also the lady hurt my thumb nail and I ask for the owner Cindy to fix it but she didn't help at all. I've been dealing the hurt for 4 days. I definitely not recommend this place. I paid $80+$20 tip and this is what happen. Never come back. read more

Made an appointment for two was seen 45 minutes afterwards. My MIL sat in her chair while I got my pedicure and no one helped her. To my knowledge we were waiting for two additional staff members to arrive. Upon arrival they didn't assist us but rather took two walk ins that arrived after us. So rude. To our surprise they assigned one person for the both of us? We only did our pedicures whole process took two hours! We left! read more

They do good work and it's a clean place. Good pricing but sometimes they get busy. Whenever I call for an appointment they say yeah, yeah but then when I arrive, I still have to wait for the next tech and it doesn't really seem like I have an appointment! So, make sure you have a clear schedule and relax, enjoy the service. read more

[Don't come if you're in a hurry] Even with an appt, you may need to wait 15-30 minutes, but I assure you, it's worth the wait! They actually take their time and don't rush. The whole staff is super nice and friendly. I will definitely be returning as a regular customer. read more

I came in last week to get my nails done by Jenny and the edges near the cuticles look bad. They look like they have Air bubbles that's lifting them up. I don't think they're going to last very long. She was also filing them on the sides pretty harsh. I told her to fix some of them because they were crooked, and she did fix them but after a day I noticed these air bubbles around the edges, and it's all my nails not just one. I won't come back to this salon. There's better places out there. read more

I've been coming here since I was 16. This is definitely a Simi Valley "if you know, you know" spot. Their prices are reasonable and they are all skilled at what they do. Thank you to Cindy and your team for taking care of me and my mom for so many years. read more

While in town today I stopped to get a fill and pedicure at 10:15 am. Ryan took me right away and did both of my services. First pedicure, he did a nice job. I should of gotten a longer massage as I needed it. He then did my fill with matching pink frosted gel polish. I was in and out in an hour. He was friendly and shaped my nails just the way I asked for them. I haven't been here in awhile and this was my first time trying Ryan. I usually get Bill for pedicure and Cindy does my nails. I will be using Ryan again. read more

First and last time here. When I noticed the girl doing my manicure couldn't understand what "square" was when she asked how I wanted it filed... I knew this was a disaster. She kept rounding the corners and my nails were going up in one corner. I mentioned that it's crooked like one corner is going up on all my nails... she laughed and smiled (I'm thinking because she couldn't understand what I was saying") she kept filing the side that was already short and leaving the long crooked corner. I said "no this part here" and she still didn't understand. I accepted the fact that I have to go home and file my nails lol She asked what color polish I wanted, I kindly declined and that was that. She did clean the cuticles well though. read more

I really like this place! It is decently priced and all the staff are super sweet and understanding! My only "issue" is that when you go, you usually have to wait a bit of time so if you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend. But they always do a great job and gives you your moneys worth! I have been going here for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. Today i went in to get a pedicure and I accidentally messed up a couple of toes, and they were so understanding and willing to fix it! read more

DO NOT COME HERE, EVER!!! Worst place. They are dirty. They ARE RUDE. I went in for a fill and the lady who sits in the very front was HORRIBLE. She filed my nails way too much it started to hurt. Then she used the drill and CUT EVERY SINGLE FINGER. None of my fingers were matching in shape. She was so rough. She saw me bleeding and didn't care. When she was "done" my hands were still in the lamp and she walked away. No cuticle oil. No nothing. Horrible job!! They are so RUDE. Left and came back 2 mins later to ask for cuticle oil bc it was so bad and they WERE SO MEAN. Never ever coming back. UNSANITARY PLACE. Disgusting. RUDE. Save your money. Dipping my fingers in peroxide to prevent infection. read more

Made a appointment at 4:00pm for a pedicure. I called and told them I would be 5 minutes late. I was exactly 5 minutes late. I waited over 25 minutes, and told them I was leaving. Honestly probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. I was trying to be very patient and understanding because it was clear to me that the kid doing my nails had not received enough training. I asked for my ingrown sides to be lifted and he didn't understand English, then two other people asked me if I wanted it done and I said yes, then they never did it. He kept picking at my skin and cut a chunk out of my big toe which was then bleeding and cut all my nails unevenly. The paint was not to the cuticle and looked very sloppy. I'm super bummed I used to like this place a lot but sitting there two hours for this was a waste of my Saturday. read more

I've been coming to Famous Nails for quite some time. I love their staff, they are always so kind to me & my daughter. Whenever I need to get in, they're always accommodating. They're very clean, friendly and do a really thorough job. I never feel rushed and always feel welcome, which is not always how I've felt in the past at previous nail salons. I was visiting my mom on Sunday and decided I wanted to get my nails done. I no longer live in the area, but lived in Simi Valley for 2 years and never tried this place. I called several places in the afternoon who said they could not fit me in. I called Famous Nails & Spa and they told me to come! I had to wait about 10 minutes while they finished up a customer (whose nails turned out so cute!!) I didn't mind waiting because so many salons were busy and it was a Sunday afternoon; to be expected without an appointment. Cindy (I believe that is her name) did my nails as soon as she was finished with her other client. She was so nice and I enjoyed making conversation with her! She even let me borrow her phone charger. She did my nails surprisingly quickly without jeopardizing quality. Once I was in her chair, she finished a full set with gel polish in about 35 minutes. I am very happy with how they turned out. I will definitely be back to this amazing salon! Prices were super reasonable and they do great work. The place was clean and covid safe. They even had a temp check at the front desk. Do yourself a favor and ditch your current salon for Famous Nails & Spa! read more

The guy was so horrible! Went in for a gel change and he used the electric filing thing and he just went to town on my mail beds! My nails are so damn sensitive now. I have no actually nails anymore and you can see the layers that he took off on the thumb, all my nails are like that. You can almost feel the skin inter my nails. They don't soak or anything, he just goes in and files away and when I told the owner and she came and checked she says "oh well this is how we usually take it off" my nails were way longer than that, he had to file them down just so he can make them even after messing them up! Very shitty place and costumer service! NEVER GOING AGAIN read more
