Waited for 30 mins. And they only had two customers. I got them done on Tuesday and on Sunday only a few days later two of my nails have chipped and it's a gel manicure. I think that's ridiculous. I paid $40 for my nails to last 4 days? Somethings not right.

I was disappointed in the manicurist. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately that's not all there is to it! A good manicurist pays attention to the details of the craft. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and after I was put on the spa chair I was handed a menu of options to choose from. Felt unheard or misunderstood when I asked for a regular pedicure and still get a menu after I've been soaking my feet. I had asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was less than standards. She didn't remove the hangnail I had and felt she created more rather than removing it properly. I needed to direct her over and over again. She cut my skin. Didn't cut my toe nails down enough as I had requested. They were also not filed properly as after a couple of days I was in pain again. The nail polish was eh, for lack of a better word, and the cotton she used to separate my toes stuck onto the last two toes and I had toilet paper dry onto my nail-bed which looked gross after I ripped it off. The gel manicure was less than "okay" I asked for a simple color but I think my 5 year old niece would have done a better job painting my nails. Add salt to injury, two days later 2 of my 10 nails just cracked and fell off. I mean completely pooped out. The entire gel. Weird right? I went back, they fixed it. But then the day after 3 more fell off. I demanded a whole new set, and I said I would stop by after work (5:30pm) they were busy told me to come back again the next day which I didn't appreciate since I was coming in with an appointment. Sadly, 2 more popped right off that day and my nails split. (There is a good way to file nails and a bad way that cause your natural nails to split and break off.) When I returned on a Saturday, I waited another 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to ask how much longer I had to wait as she disappeared to the back when she sat me in her chair. At first, I felt She did a nice job, gave me a a change of color and I picked French Tip, as a courtesy I wasn't charged extra. I also asked for a thick tip, but looking closer, one hand was thicker than the other and my nails felt like paper. Not the usual gel comfort I am used to experiencing. I had to be extra careful because I felt they bent when I did simple tasks like open a drawer. Mind you I used short nails. I am not a manual labor kind of person. However I do type a lot! As such my nails are short not long at all! Needless to say, unfortunately they all cracked and split. Thank God I had thick French tips so when I had to file them down, they still looked normal, but keep cracking. I have yet to find a new place. I use gel, because I don't like my nails to crack, something isn't right with their products. In the 10 years I've been using gel nail polish my nails have never split or cracked. Matter of fact when I stop using gel, my nails are still strong. So I am confused. They were polite, did apologize for the inconvenience and explained that accidents happen. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they don't live up to their name, and far from "nailing it".

This place is very clean, the staff is very nice. The acrylics nails are mediocre at best. My tech stopped mid job to pray for 5 mins. She folded her hands, bowed her head and prayed. I'm OK with prayer, but not in the middle of a job your doing. My nails are not the same shape or length, the polish is lumpy. She painted my hand and waited until it was baked on before taking the drill to scrape it off. She didn't clean the nail of left over acrylic. Should have known better than to walk in to an empty salon, that takes cash only.

My gel polish lasted 3 days and then chipped. The women that work at this salon we're rude and attempted to argue with me saying that it didn't last because my nails are short. Why didn't they tell me that prior to doing the service? I also tipped her $10.00 and when I came back she was SO rude. They are only nice when they are collecting your money.

I had a really great pedicure here which was overshadowed by my experience with my manicure (which was done by the owner). I wasn't happy with the design I got and felt it was off from what I wanted but felt bad saying anything...when I got home I realized I couldn't sit with them for 2 weeks, esp after paying $10 extra for them, so they said I could come back. When I walked in, she was clearly talking about me and continued to while she took off my other polish. I felt completely mortified and uncomfortable. She refused to do anything other than regular polish even though I had paid for a design and repeatedly made me feel guilty for "lying" and that I was wrong- the employee next to her also came over to tell me that I wasted her time. At the end, she gave me $10 "from my tip but I was wrong so she will not give me back the money from the design" and that she doesn't care if I come back or not. Don't worry, I won't! Just wanted to share to save other people from coming here.

First of all, this shop seems to be owned by friends... The vibe from the ladies that work here is really great. Even when they are speaking in a language other than english, they translate almost everything they are saying. I don't even care if they aren't translating correctly, just the gesture means so much to me. The salon was very clean, playing easy listening, non-offensive, easy going types of tunes playing in the background on the television. I came in with an idea in mind for my gel manicure and spa pedicure. All I had to do was pull up some pictures and show them to my manicurist (she never introduced herself!), and straight to work they went looking for colors that match. In the end, the colors they helped me choose were better than the pinterest pic. I am really happy! I can't wait to return for another mani/pedi!

I called since I saw some people on here mention sometimes they have to wait. They squeezed me in almost immediately. I went in for a spa pedicure. I added the foot scrub and callus remover and ended up getting a gel pedi. All of this came to $47. At that price I'd expect a nice pedicure but didn't notice until I came home, the polish on my big toes was sloppy. It was nothing special and I've had much better for that price. I only came here because they were able to fit me in when my regular salon could not. That's probably the only way I'd be back. They still get 3 stars though for accommodating me and great service at least I came home with very smooth legs and feet.

I had initially given this place a 4 but on my third visit if I could leave no stars I would. After having a gel pedicure, with just water (guess they don't use soap or anything) and leaving with 5 bleeding toes that still hurt the next day I don't think I will ever be back. The lady took her time which would have been great had she not filed away my skin, cut my nails too short and made me bleed. She messed up the polish and attempted to fix it but it is still noticeable. For $30 I was astounded. They should be paying me for the dreadful and painful experience. I highly recommend you find somewhere else to go. read more

I discovered a brand new nail spa in the Jon's Marketplace Plaza right on Cochran at Tapo Canyon. I was welcomed with friendly smiles. The atmosphere and the pretty decor made the experience really relaxing. I got a manicure, spa-pedicure and eyebrow waxing and was really impressed. I'll be visiting regularly. read more

Tina gives the best pedicures! Flowers on toes are great and very colorful! Howard does a great fill and very pleasant. They do waxing too and the prices are more than reasonable! I will be back and bring the husband!!! read more

First time in this nail salon and I am super impressed! Peter worked on my nails and I can honestly say that I have never had someone work so diligently and carefully on my manicure before. He was very gentle and didn't rush through it even though there were other customers. The shop was super clean and there was nice calming background music playing. This was a super relaxed setting that I really enjoyed! Will absolutely be back ;) read more

After three visits here this place has become my favorite nail spa in Simi. I usually get regular mani and pedi's only so I can't speak for gels or acrylics but every time I've been here I've never been disappointed. My favorite thing about this place is that I'm always asked if I like how my nails are turning out throughout the process (i.e. Nail shape, color shade, etc). They also have the friendliest staff I've ever encountered at a nail salon, reasonable prices (I'm a college student so you can imagine), clean tools, relaxing atmosphere with the best Pandora music station playing, and a great nail polish color selection. Ask for Howie if it's your first time here! read more

If they had negative stars I would give them 5!! This is the absolute worst nail place I've ever been. I called for an appointment and was happy I got one the same day, however, it was my first time and I should have just gone by the negative reviews I read but I was hoping this wasn't going to be me. The manicure took less than 5 minutes, the girl barely did anything, I had a lot of loose skin around my nails when she was done, they barely put any of their product, like the cuticle remover, lotion etc. on my hands when doing the manicure and totally rushed through it. It look as if she was just pretending she was cleaning them just to say she did. After she was done with the so called manicure, she painted my French tips, which by the way, look pretty horrible, and then left and went to help another customer and someone else came to shape the tips and put the top coat on which by the way, she put all over my fingers too, they were rushing so much that she didn't even bother to stay on the nail, I had to come home and fix them myself. I am not a regular, but you would think that being my first time, they would have been more welcoming and done a good job on my nails to keep me coming back instead of just treating me as if I was intruding in their scheduled with their regular customers. They totally rushed through everything, did a horrible job, and rushed to go help someone else. When I was ready to pay she had the nerve to ask for a tip, which I gave her but she did not deserve at all. I cannot express how bad this place is, if you want your nails to look cheap, this is most definitely the place to go! read more

Worst service ever. I walked in and told them I needed a pink and white fill and a spa pedicure. They said 10-15 minute wait. So I said okay and sat down. 25 minutes later they had me sit down in the pedicure seat. The lady came over and looked at my nails and said she doesn't have time to do my nails today but they can do the pedicure and I can come another day to do my nails. I explained I have a 2 month old and 3 year old at home and have them being watched so I can do this. They still wouldn't help me. So I got up and left and told them they lost a customer for life for lying and telling me they could help me. I would give a negative review if I could. read more

I've been searching for a nail salon that upon entering I am not barked at to "pick color" or rushed along with a half-ass mani-pedi. I found it. While none of these ladies will win a Miss Congeniality contest, they weren't rude. I expect good service for a fair price. The salon was clean. Pandora with accompanying TV showing the artist & album was nice(no TVs blaring Jerry Springer). The atmosphere was mellow and I never felt rushed. I also wasn't bothered every two seconds with an upsell pitch. I had a gel manicure and spa pedicure with Dona. She did a fantastic job. I am SO happy I found this place. I made a follow-up appointment with her. I highly recommend this salon. read more

The staff is very friendly and nice here! Everything about our service was great (just got a pedicure), although their nail color selection could have been a bit better. Also the staff sometimes was not super clear when we were done/when & where to pay, but it wasn't a huge huge deal. Would probably come back especially if I was in a pinch! read more

I had my nails done here for the first time yesterday and am pretty happy with the quality and service. Everyone was friendly and I didn't have to wait very long, just a few minutes. Howie did my gel manicure and he did a great job explaining the regular gel vs dip gel and seemed knowledgeable about the different brands. The lady who did my pedicure was very helpful in finding a matching color to my manicure even though they were different brands. She did a great job as well. I'll definitely be back. read more

This has become our go-to nail salon after trying several in the area! It's typically me, my friend and her young daughter (7 at the time this is written). We have our regulars we prefer there but I've tried a few different technicians and had a good result, but Tina has become my go to! She does excellent work, gives a great massage (no 30 second bs here!) and when I bring her a design or idea she always makes it work with my nails (which don't naturally look like those on Pinterest). If I see anything I'm unhappy with as she is working on my nails I tell her and she fixes it(she also asks after filing if I'm happy with the length and shape). Sometimes colors don't come out as expected and sometimes polish imperfections happen despite a good manicure but I've had very few issues with this place and esp with the amazing - and kind - Tina (I think once with a different tech I had a little bubbling on one finger but I went back in when I noticed it and they fixed it). I also get a lot of compliments on my nails because she does such a great job. Can not recommend this place - or Tina enough! For the negative reviews about waiting - they do get busy sometimes. If you have an appointment you will get your spot. I waited 10 mins max once because I said it was fine - just meant more soaking in a massage chair which works for me! But if you walk in, there may be a wait and sometimes there isn't. Call ahead - they try to accommodate as best as they can and I've never seen anyone sitting around doing nothing when they are busy (unlike at other salons I've been to). Good polish selection too. They usually have good music on. And the place is always clean. Prepare for parking issues because of the construction in the lot - a temporary issue but just give yourself an extra minute to find a spot so you're on time. Sorry for the long review, I just can't say enough how happy we are here :) last note - if you have kids, there's 2-3 techs that work on the kids and they are GREAT at it! Cute nails, keep the kids entertained and happy, and everyone happy as a result :) read more

I am very excited to have a new salon to go to for my nails. Rose and Tina are both wonderful. It's nice to see how focused they are on sterilization. I've been to other salons and you will see them take supplies from a drawer and you know they have not been sterilized . They always do a great job and I love the detailed flowers. read more

I'm a mom of 4 young kids so when I go to get a service done I really need people to be nice to me. Tina (short hair) has done my mani pedi twice and is always so sweet, doesn't make me bleed and does a great job. The place is very clean. They use liners in the foot spa and sterilized tools. They also don't look weird at me for bringing my own foot scrubber, lotion & polishes. Lovely lovely place! I go early on Friday mornings before it gets busy. read more

I really hate to do this but I had a horrible experience here today. Called in and made an appt. for a full set, came in and was sat with a gentleman. I showed him the picture of what I was going for, acrylics for some length but very little as I wanted a rounded natural look. He rushed through and kept saying "no it'll look better when I'm done." Well the finished project was square, fake looking nails with a thick, wavy, and sticky gel surface. He finished and I said I'm sorry these are horrible, please just fix them. He took his tool and scraped off the gel and said "I'll take this off and you can leave and go paint them yourself." I showed him the picture and was like these aren't even close to similar, and he said so go buy that color and pay $7 for your daughter's nails before you go. I left and the owner who is awesome came out to my car after me to apologize. She agreed when I showed her the picture that it was not a good job and asked for me to come back tomorrow. Needless to say I went to Le Nails immediately and they fixed my botched nails. read more

Felt like getting a full set of pink and white. Wanted to try somewhere new. Saw a review that there was a salon in the Jon's Marketplace shopping center, which is super close to me. I also liked the pictures posted. This place is the best. It is fairly new. I think Howard who did my full set told me they have been open for 2-3 months. Very clean. They use plastic liners for their pedicure tubs and then I noticied they clean/disinfect the tub after the plastic liner is removed as well. Howard did a fantastic job. He did exactly what I wanted..thin, lightest pink powder, gel top coat and a more rounded tip. AWESOME! I have found the few men that have done my nails in the salon are the best. I will go back for sure. THey do eyebrows also read more

I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars because it depends on who you get. The reason I am leaving a review is because one tech stands out for me. I have been to many salons in many states and am often disappointed by their nail art after they reassure me they can do something similar to a photo I've brought or a design they have in their salon. Lihn is the first one ever to actually pull it off beautifully....more than once! She is very artistic and will wow you with your results. btw, I'm very particular about various elements of my pedicure too and she is always patient with me and accommodates my requests. This place is a MAJOR RIP OFF!! I was offered the callous remover and they did a TERRIBLE HALF A## job and then tries to charge me $10 for that!! Maybe inflation is really hitting now but I have NEVER been charged that much. And if they are going to charge that much then at least make an effort and show me it's worth the cost. I have to go somewhere else just to get that callous removed done again. Then to make matters worse, I asked for my daughter to get a mani and pedi and I pointed in case there was a language barrier and she still did not get her pedi. When I asked what happened with her pedi the owner looked at me and said "oh I'm sorry it not happen." I'm a pretty patient person and I still tipped them well (better than most ppl do I'm almost certain). They still have to work for their money. I will NEVER return here. It's down the street from my home but there are plenty of other places with better service and more competitive prices. read more

I found this place using Yelp and am pleased with the service. The facility is pleasant and clean and I received an excellent pedicure from a very friendly woman. I was surprised at the quality I got for the very inexpensive cost. My only complaint was that it was a very hot day and they did not turn on the air conditioning, so it was uncomfortably warm. read more

It seemed like the perfect place - no pain, great service, kind people - so even though it was very far from my home in Moreno Valley, I asked my husband and kids for a Groupon from Laser Creations for my birthday. When I called to set up the appointment, they were very kind and professional. I was nervous about going, so I looked up the driving directions the night before and saw it would take 1.5 hours to get there. I asked my friend to drive me (I've been on some medication that makes me dizzy and driving so far on my own wasn't a good idea) and she picked me up 2 hours before my appointment. As we drove, my heart sank because the traffic was terrible and the driving directions kept adding time to our arrival. I also had to stop to use the bathroom because my bladder isn't the same after having four kids. :( When we stopped, I called Laser Creations and left a message about my potential late arrival (at that time it was showing we'd be 6 min late). We got closer, but the traffic was terrible. We were finally around the corner, but were stopped at the train tracks. I called again so they would know I didn't just skip out on the appointment (it was 20 min after my appointment at that time) and I could tell they were frustrated by my lateness by the way they responded. They told me the numbing cream they'd be using for the skin tags needed 30 minutes to be effective, and I was "cutting into that time" by being late. When I hung up, I told my friend I would likely need to reschedule because of how late it was and apologized that she'd driven me all that way for nothing. When we arrived, it took me a minute to find the door, and when I tried it, it wouldn't open. I don't know if it's because it was heavy, or if I pulled/pushed the wrong way, but I couldn't get it to open, so I called again. They sounded upset that I couldn't figure it out and sent someone to fetch me from the elevator lobby. She rather sarcastically and dramatically gestured at the door as if I was stupid and hadn't seen it there. I said "Yes, ma'am, I did try that door but I couldn't get it to open, I don't know why." She huffed and led me quickly through the hallway, straight past the reception area and into a treatment room. I apologized for being late, trying to explain what had happened, but she spoke over me and said the timing for the numbing cream to work had passed and I wouldn't get the effect of it. Then she asked how many tags I'd wanted removed, even though I'd established that when I set up the appointment, and then frustratedly called to the other woman with how many I needed done as if I was a burden. I was crying by this point because I literally have never felt so under attack by strangers before. They both said something about why should I be crying, they're fun, nice people, I should see their reviews online. And I tried to say "Yes, that's why I picked you and drove so far because your reviews looked amazing" but they kept talking over me, lecturing me about having to make other customers wait because of my tardiness. When I finally was able to speak to tell them that I wasn't expecting special consideration and that I'd planned to ask to reschedule, but they'd rushed me in here and then lectured me and scolded me for crying, they seemed to backpedal and said they'd be happy to reschedule me. At that point, I said I didn't feel comfortable getting services done there and wanted a refund. Then I left. I was crying in the car, trying to explain to my friend what had gone on when one of the ladies came out of the building and just stood there. I wondered why she couldn't let me just cry in peace, and my friend took offense on my behalf and calmly went over and told the lady that it wasn't good to treat people that way and that we'd already felt badly about being late and wanted to reschedule and they didn't need to be rude to me. She told my friend "You weren't in the room, you don't know what was said." To which my friend replied, "Are you calling my friend a liar then?" She again backpedaled and said they'd be happy to reschedule me, but my friend politely said we'd not be coming back here. I think this all could have been professionally and politely handled if they had just kindly introduced themselves when I arrived (neither introduced themselves to me or welcomed me to the clinic) and said "Usually when people arrive this late, we recommend rescheduling so the numbing cream can work effectively and make it all a smoother experience." or even just waited for me to make that suggestion myself. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. From all their reviews, it looks like my experience here could have been amazing and I am sorry I didn't get to have that. I just want others to be aware that it doesn't always go that route.

Based on my experience, I would not return, and I strongly recommend being cautious and asking how tools are sanitized before booking here. This small shop is located near Jamba juice within the strip mall. I have been to this nail salon several times and have never had any issues with my experience. As I don't have a specific person that I liked to work with, I have had the experience of working with multiple staff members and have always been pleased with my experience. And the staff members are not offended when you ask them to modify or do touch ups. I appreciate that they are willing to help me find the perfect color. And when I come in with a picture, they are willing to find the color that matches my interest, rather than just sending me to a wall to find my color choice--which is impossible to find in a sea of colors. As I never make reservations in advance, I have been fortunate to never wait when I walk in. The salon does take reservations, and you can request a specific person. Note for tips, you cannot put them on your credit card. You need to bring cash for tips. As for parking, plenty of parking around the shop. Given the gym is nearby the parking lot can get busy so you may need to walk a bit further.

Again, it was also the least relaxing experience because they couldn't even get the basic design right. I will only be going to Nancy at Elegant Nails from now on. She does french perfect and doesn't up charge. Again, I wouldn't be upset with the price being $13 extra for french tip if they were good quality. There's streaks in the pink from it being rushed and there's streaks of white as well.
