Stopped in today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the garlic chicken and Mongolian beef which came with some white rice on the side. The portions were generous and the entrees came out in less than 5 mins! The beef and chicken tasted great and the customer service was outstanding. My family is so bad at ordering Chinese food. We never remember what we like from which places and end ip making the same ordering mistakes multiple times. So this review will serve as a reminder that we had the Kung pow chicken and the orange chicken and loved both of them. At some places, the orange chicken ends up too sweet and the Kung pow ends up too spicy. In this particular case, the orange chicken has a little pepper next to it on the menu so since our kids are weenies when it comes to hot foods we just ask them to make it less spicy. OK, that was disgusting. Stopped to get an early dinner by myself and ordered the house special chicken. It was probably the grossest Chinese food I have ever eaten. The chicken tasted like it was from an old fryer chicken. You know the kind where it's super stringy and chewy and just tastes like an old chicken. The dishes are definitely made out of dark meat, and a very low quality. As they chewed the first bite, it's stuck between my teeth. It was so stringy. I was really hungry, so I took another bite and it had a bit of cartilage on it. Just totally made me lose my appetite. I literally got up and walked away and left the entire dish on the table. I will never be returning and I warn you if you are reading this not to go. There's other Chinese restaurants in the area that I'm sure are better. Even if the quality of the chicken was good, the sauce was bland and it was extremely unappealing as a dish. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. I'm still mad that I had to walk away from an entire meal that I paid for. I write this as I eat a piece of pizza at Costco. At least they're consistent and there was no way I was going to spend another $16 for dinner somewhere else. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

This is a great place for fast, cheap Asian food. The man who helped us (maybe the owner or just a long term employee) was one of the sweetest men on this planet. He was very helpful and patient with us newbs. The food was delicious and amazing. It was prepared as we ordered at work stations that you can see from the dining area. I would happily come here time and time again. The ambiance was calming. While life rushed past us outside, things were just chill and relaxing inside. Every time I go to the large Walmart Shopping area, I always stop in Quick Wok which is right next to Staples. Sometimes I eat there and sometimes I take out. I always order the pork with greens beans at this location. I know it's a simple dish with simple ingredients. I have yet to be let down by their cooking of it. This dish is cooked well. The green beans consistently have a snap and crunch (as al dente is to pasta). It's perfect. The wok char is good on the beans and the pork is soft. All the asian flavor sauces are present and nothing is overpowering. Spice (heat) can be added if wanted, but as I'm getting older I'm finding it harder to process the heat. Oh, and, they're not stingy on the green beans either. I'll always continue to order the pork with green beans here. read more

Lived in Oceanside for awhile and drove by the other evening and it was packed. Stopped in and ordered the orange chicken, egg drop soup and pork fried rice. Orange chicken was a hit as was the egg drop soup with crunchy chow mein noodles. The big disappointment was the pork fried rice. No flavor at all. Added Sriracha and soy sauce to make it decent. The chicken is pretty rubbery and honestly the fried rice is dry and salty but somehow under seasoned? The people here are so sweet and the restaurant is nice and clean. I love that they have lemon water available for you while you wait for your order. They are very efficient! Quick/Quik Woks in general are San Diego's Best Fast Chinese option. That includes Chu's Quik Wok and those "Quick" Woks in Rancho Bernardo.. Let's face it, they're all pretty much the same even down to the great lunch specials. Food is always reliable and fresh. In the case of the Oceanside Quik Woks, I've always been satisfied. Their dishes tend to be a little on the greasy oily side, but that seems par for the course. I love the fact they were generous with the rice which becomes so flavorful sucking up all those flavors. Favorites - - Kung Pao - Lo Mein - Mongolian Beef The negative was that they were blasting the FX channel in the dining room. Great place for fast Chinese food. I have eaten here a few times and was told they use vegetable oil to fry the tofu and that the orange tofu and seeet and sour tofu dishes were vegan friendly. I tried to ask about the noodles in the chow mein dish but the lady I spoke to could not say for certain if the noodles were egg free, so I avoided it. The whole family went there for dinner and the items we ordered tasted similar and kind of salty. My two boys ordered orange chicken which they did not like. They were disappointed because it was salty and it overwhelmed the orange flavor. Usually, they are not that picky about the orange chicken. My wife had the honey walnut shrimp which she likes but I didn't as it was too salty for my taste. I had the crispy fish which came with a separate sauce.
