The bartender was service was okay until we had gotten our drinks became un available we had to wave down a passing server to resolve an issue with the chilaquiles did not have the eggs I had ordered. The baked potato plate was super tiny no room to break up the potato and the chilaquiles plate was salty for me.... I think the use the same green salsa for everything so they must have added salt to the salsa for general use , the tortilla chips are probably pre salted for chips and salsa then the chicken is probably pre seasoned for like other stuff for like taco's etc..... then my eggs that were missing probably got salted on also so yeah too much salt (at least for me and my opinion) read more

That said, the service during our visit was disorganized and highlighted a lack of communication among the staff. A couple seated next to us had to explain twice that they didn't want their appetizer served with their entrée, yet both arrived within minutes of each other. We also had our drinks mistakenly delivered to another table. Not a big deal we understand mistakes happen and ours arrived shortly after. The bigger issue was with the timing of our food. My wife received her meal, but mine didn't come out until nearly 20 minutes later, after several polite check-ins. She had to eat without me so her food wouldn't get cold. When I finally went up to cancel, they apologized, said it was just coming out, and offered to pack it to-go and discount the meal. I appreciated the gesture. However, when the server brought the bill, she casually mentioned that the food is "still delicious even cold." When I asked to speak with a manager or owner, I was told they had already left and that they've been having issues getting food out on time. I also offered some polite advice about better communication between servers and kitchen staff, but was told, "It's not my fault" which, frankly, isn't the kind of response you want to hear as a guest. Despite everything, I still left a tip and genuinely hope this review is taken as constructive feedback, not criticism. I'd love to see this place thrive it has potential. I'll give it another try soon, hoping for a smoother experience. This review isn't about a discount or free meal I came in to support a local business in my city instead of ordering takeout. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve operations and communication across the team. I'll give it another shot in a couple weeks and rewrite my review or add onto it. read more

This is a very nice and unique restaurant for breakfast and brunch. The menu choices are Mexican so if you're looking for standard American fare, best to find another place. That said, we had the breakfast burrito and the breakfast potato and both were excellent with just the right amount of spices to be flavorful but not hot. The coffee is one of the best anywhere in town. Service is cheerful, prompt and responsive. Parking outside is free and easy to find. Best to make reservations as it fills up quickly. One additional suggestion is to dress warmly if you're there first thing in the morning because the doors to the outdoor patios are open. We're going back again. read more

I ate here for the first time today, and while I have heard much about this place since its grand opening, my experience was a little underwhelming. I came on a Wednesday afternoon about an hour and half to closing, and it was still fairly busy. The decor and atmosphere was bright and welcoming, however I think the music volume was very loud because it was blaring through the pink booth section, to where it was difficult to have a regular conversation with someone unless you were yelling or talking loudly. From the time I was seated, I was greeted by my server fairly quickly, and she was very friendly and cheerful. There was another couple that next to my table and I noticed that they had a very full table of drinks and food, and were being attended to and checked on by a few servers every several minutes, I presumed they might have been some food reviewers of some kind as the employees were making sure they were being accommodating to all of their requests and needs. Meanwhile I noticed hadn't seen my server since the time my order was taken. From the time I ordered, over 45 minutes had passed before I had to ask my server to check on my order, and I only ordered chilaquiles. My server did apologize as she indicated the kitchen was very backed up and it was busy for it being a weekday. When my food finally came, the portion size was huge, the flavor overall was tasty, however everything was lukewarm, and the chips were greasy, I can tell it had been sitting out for some time. I have worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and as a chef myself, I do have grace for new establishments as I understand the first year is always an adjustment period. I do encourage management to tighten up the customer service, and to advise the servers to check on all of their tables periodically just so their customers don't feel neglected, as I noticed I wasn't the only table who was waiting for awhile. Because I had seen the couple next to me being attentive and accommodated by multiple servers, it would have made all the difference for me, especially as my first-time visit. While I don't expect for all tables to receive the all out service as the couple next to me, I do appreciate a basic standard for servers to at the very least check to see if I need anything while I am waiting for my food to arrive. Overall, my experience was okay, it could have been better, but again, hopefully the kitchen and serving staff will have a better flow the next time I come back. read more

This was our first time as a party of 4, two adults an 11 year old and a picky 16 year old. We waited an hour on a Sunday morning (10-11am). Mimosa ($9) was amazing as they use freshly squeezed orange juice, no endless though. The "Jefa" ($14) drink to me was ok, nothing special. The cups used for water stole the show, beauty's. Food took over 40 minutes to arrive. The Conchitas were not the best, if you're looking to taste fresh, soft, conchas this was not it. Save your $10. The queso fundido was amazing! We all shared it. My son ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon he said it was ok (which is a good thing coming from a picky eater) however, he said he would not order that again. My husband ordered the chorizo with egg, it was ok. My daughter and I ordered the green chilaquiles with no protein which was a big mistake. The bowl of chilaquiles is huge and shareable. Next time I would add a protein of either steak or chorizo. (We ended up adding the leftover queso fundido that had chorizo in it and it made the chilaquiles 10x better). Overall cute little restaurant. I would totally come here with my girlfriends before a day out at the winery, as the music was a total vibe. It was a bit snug since we were elbow length apart from other tables. I look forward to seeing how much this place evolves. read more

This place never disappoints! Good food, beautiful and vibrant aesthetic, and very friendly service -- which is refreshing because these days it's getting harder to find good hospitality. I highly recommend the tamal plate, the quesa frijoles and the strawberry guava margarita! Their homemade blue corn tortillas are delish! I'm so proud of these guys for becoming such a success, especially with this particular building being "cursed" by failed restaurant attempts. Been wanting to try this place since they opened. We've been coming to the coffee shop next door and have seen establishments come and go in this space. Definitely hoping this one stays. We enjoyed our food so much we forgot to take pictures. But I had the Mini Enfrijoladas and they were very good. The beans were the perfect consistency! Hubby had the 3 taco plate with Birria and Al Pastor. He finished the plate while licking his fingers so he definitely liked it. My mother in law who is a finicky eater had the Chile Rellenos and we were surprised that she left her plate clean! My husband who's a michelada snob ordered one here and said he'll definitely come back. I had the La Flaca and if we weren't in a time crunch I definitely would have ordered another one! The brunch was good compared to what we've had in the area. The chilaquiles are competitive lol we had the salsa verde, scrambled egg with steak and birria. The protein option is cool and separate this place from other brunch spots that only offer carnitas or chicken. The coffee and latte were also good and sweet. I had the cafe de olla while my wife had the orchata latte. The decor is "cute" lots of pink, green and gold. Definitely a brunch spot for the ladies with a vibe. The Latin music in the background gets the caffeine going and may make you want to take a shot. The service was prompt and attentive. Our server, Michael, checked in enough times to make sure if "everything good?" Since he asked enough times I had to give him my honest feedback of the churros, they were alright. It's a young staff but you can tell that they know the assignment. They nice, attentive and courteous, they like their job. We'll be back to try something new.
