My local laundromat. Usually not crowded, plenty of machines to use. Staff is pretty friendly. Nearby House of Bagels, 7-11, and Subway so you can get a bite or drink while waiting. Free wi-fi, plenty of seating, and two parking lots--which are gold mines in downtown. read more

Was visiting from out of town and needed to do a load. They were super nice and helpful. Would totally recommend. Keep up the great work!

Love this place. Out of all the places I've been this one has to be the cleanest. The machines don't look abused or second hand. There's also the benefit of never finding fecal matter in the machine. Friendly staff. Never a questionable group of people. And wifi, which is now apparently something we all look for when picking a place to wash our delicates. read more

I love this laundromat so much because of the service. The guy here is SO friendly and really made my experience so good. He suggested I don't use the small ones because it wouldn't wash well. He suggested the best way to wash my clothes, and saved me money by letting me use someone else's dryer that had leftover credit on it still. Everytime I come here I don't even have a card to load. They just put in their own card for me and I pay at the cash register. I always come in with HUGE loads and only come once a month. I've only been here 3 times and I'm surprised he still remembered me and what we talked about before. I will only come here from now on as long as I live in downtown still. read more

They were super nice! I was from out of town and prefer to do my own laundry. The gentlemen helped me through the process and did not make me purchase the card they use for their washers and dryers. Last load is @ 9:30 so as not to be confused with a closing time. 5 stars for the friendly and helpful service! read more

First time ever at a laundromat. Met the nicest and most helpful working people ever! Love this place and would recommend it to anyone!aa

Many broken machines and the staff here are rude and impolite. They kept pushing me to use the more expensive machines even though my load of laundry clearly fit into the smaller machines. The staff here were unhelpful and are just trying to take the money from your pockets. Don't go here to do your laundry!! read more

Great place to go when you have a large down comforter to wash. I leave it there in the morning and pick it up on the way home from work. They are careful with it (don't dry it on high) and it comes back clean and sweet smelling. read more

I had been going to a laundrymat near SCU. Having never been to a laundrymat, I thought $3 to wash was reasonable. I told my boyfriend and he pretty much laughed and took me here.$1.50 a load? I'm sold! Plus there are a few restaurants nearby that serve booze. Who doesn't like getting sauced up while doing laundry? read more

Clean, cheap, lady working was very nice and helpful! I waa New to the Laundromat scene as I just moved into my first place without washer/dryer downtown. She showed me how to use the facility and didnt make me feel silly for not knowing how it worked! I won't go anywhere else now :) read more

lol the duchess of this place.....how sad am I? ;) why can't I be the dutchess of yogartland or the bookstore or the gastropub!? read more

Quickwash Laundry - Laundry Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Don't come here if you're not local. They charge you $3 for an access card. That's a ripoff.

This laundromat is really convenient, and the prices are reasonable. They have early and late hours which make doing your laundry almost any time of day a breeze. read more

I've been coming here for 10 years and the short version of the story is prices have been jacked up while quality has gone down. The place used to be full of reasonably priced washers that charged $1.50 a wash. It was that way for a long time. Then they raised prices to $1.75 a wash. Ok, still not bad. Then, a short time later, they: --Raised prices to $2 a load for the cheapest machines. --Got rid of most of the cheaper washers. --Several of the cheaper machines are now always out of order, which would be fine if there were a lot of them like there used to be. But there aren't that many now; so you end up competing with other people for them even if it's not that busy. --Now the cheaper washers do cold washes only (they used to do hot, warm, cold). And if you want more time than 26 minutes, they charge extra for it. --The next cheapest machines are $3.50 and not much bigger than the cheap machines. Others are $4.50 and $7.50. Those are fine if you're washing blankets or whatever, but are overkill most of the time. --On top of all that, they completely took out the soda and snack vending machines. These machines charged reasonable prices. But now they're totally gone. I guess that's good, considering all the extra money I end up spending doing laundry. The staff is still friendly and attentive. But the sticker shock is such that I just can't give the place 2 stars. It used to be a relatively relaxing place to go. Now, I'm always wondering if I'm going to get a cheap washer or not. It feels more competitive and stressful and I leave feeling ripped off. I suspect at least part of the price increases have to do with San Jose's minimum wage increases. It's kind of ironic since a higher minimum wage is supposed to help out lower income people. Yet the people who come to laundromats are usually the poor and the working class. This idea that minimum wage increases don't cause inflation is BS. read more

It's a laundromat, not a coffee stand in a piazza, so don't raise your expectations too high. Inside you will find the usual gear: front-loading washers and dryers, a plethora of top-loaders, and various vending machines. All the washers and dryers are operated with a cash card, but we weren't able to test this out since the employee on duty simply used the store's override card to pay, and we paid him at the register. We used the dryer exclusively (washed at home before discovering that our dryer broke), and it was fast and effective, drying a full load in about 40 minutes for a mere $2. The low price and helpful staff are the main selling points for Quickwash Laundry. If you are a student you would probably appreciate the location, right on the edge of SJSU and next to both a pizza place and a Subway. We had no need of the free Wi-Fi so can't really comment. The main downside is that the interior was really rather run-down, but this is fairly par for the course for self-serve laundromats. read more

The people that work there are so nice. Lots of machines so you can always get in and out. Clean. Can get super hot in there during the warmer months but not a big deal read more

Nice and big laundromat with plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Cheap and the dryers are pretty fast when it comes to getting your laundry dry. One load of clothes only took a dollar to get them dry unlike the dryers of other laundromats I've been to in which takes a lot more than a dollar to get them dry. read more

Closes at 11 (but last load has to start by 9:30). And there's a small parking lot with an entrance on 11th St. Clean place with helpful attendants. Several places nearby to get a bite to eat while you eat. read more

I had 20 loads to do and didn't know where to start. I'm glad we came here because the service was terrific! The staff were so kind and helpful-I would definitely come back if I ever end up with laundry dilemma again. read more

Best place so far! Clean, sorta cute, friendly attendants, TABLES, chairs, snacks, best dryer EVER, and pretty normal clientele. I normally come Thursday mornings so it's not very busy. Also there's food places nearby (pesto bagel, anyone?) so it's really a nice place to settle down and do your least favorite chore. I live a block from a laundromat on Santa Clara that's DISGUSTING. Don't waste your time and take a few extra minutes to walk here. read more

This is your standard laundromat setup, but is distinguished by the outstanding and friendly service provided. Also, everything from laundry bags to detergent are available for you to purchase as needed and you can pay the cashier directly to have your machines run; no card purchase necessary. read more

I love it! there is a couple that are super friendly. This is the only place I'll go. Great service too. Close to home.

Great customer service and the best price I've seen for wash and fold! We will be back.

because no one mentioned this in any reviews. the place is cash only. i couldn't actually get my laundry done because of this. the lady was nice about me running over to 7-11 to get cash. too bad my bank decided to not let me use my card anymore on the same day :/ the lady offered to watch my stuff as i ran across the street, so that was nice of her. and the detergent they sell is god awful expensive, so bring your own. read more

This is not a coin operated laundry mat. You have to buy a card and load it. I hate that! It is virtually impossible to load the amount of money you need without going over, and the idea that I have to pay these people $3 for the card, just to use their service is absurd. On the upside, it has tons of machines and there is seating, and is relatively clean. The regular machines are pretty small. Close to SJSU so it's a safe area. Clientele seemed pretty decent, mostly college students. read more
