STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I AM LOCKED OUT. PLEASE ADVISE WHY. REASON CODE 461. I had my device recalibrated on 8/15 in Tempe, AZ. I've had the device for barely over a month and have had the device replaced all together after stranded for hours, had to do a hard reset the first day I had it, you unplugged my gas/trunk fuses after initial installation and I nearly ran out of gas as a result. I used QuickStart years ago and it was an awesome experience. I referred 2 customers to you back then. Now, I would tell everyone I know to do whatever they can to not get a breathalyzer from your company. I've been on hold, l during business hours for 30 minutes while locked out o of my car. Missed an interview as a result. Rest assured this will be copied/pasted on yelp, google, and every other internet outlet to forewarn any other potential customers/victims this you intend on acquiring. Last, after being on hold for 40 minutes, the rep accidentally disconnected. Still locked out and jobless. Thank you for making my life hell QuickStart. read more

There's a reason this company is a two star company. It's a money grab operation. I made the mistake of thinking they are all the same. There are so many more for you than they let you know every month. Plus they charge you $95 to have it taken out even if you just paid your monthly fee a day or two before for the monthly maintenance. I promise you that you will not be happy with this company and I would find any other company in the valley. You also have no access to upper management or the owner to speak with issues about. Do yourself a favor and find any other company in Arizona. read more

My husband and I own an automotive repair business and just wanted to say thank you for making your device so easy for us to work with. Other interlock companies give us complicated instructions on how to disconnect or disable their devices by climbing under the dash and using jumper wires. So will even charge the customer up to $50 to allow us to disable the device. Who wants to get a $30 oil change just to pay an extra $50 for the shop to be able to pull their vehicle onto a rack? Today, I even discovered your 'call back' option while I was on hold waiting for a representative, which means I dont have to wait on hold for 45 minutes to get the code to deactivate the device. My husband almost got to the point where he did not want to work on vehicles with interlock devices installed. I told him not to worry about Quickstart, they are the easiest to deal with. Thanks! read more

Considering the circumstances this is a very well oiled machine. This location has had nothing but great service month after month. I've never had any issues with anyone as well as my device. Five stars for David Ballard in the Scottsdale location, minus one for some of the support team on the main phone being somewhat derogatory when questions are asked. I thought this device would be a hassle and at times it is. Confused on how a low fault would occur when no alcohol for days. But after spending time with David, he explained in detail some of the day to day occurrences that can cause a faulty reading. I am now prepared to drive with confidence and not be scared of not making it to my destination, David also takes the time to engage in normal conversation and not make you feel like a 'loser'. I don't wish this on anybody but if unfortunate situations make you be on this program, then I suggest using the Scottsdale location. David's proper customer service skills is worth the drive. read more

My sister got her interlock her and they are always great with her calibration and services.

The worst experience I've ever encountered. The rep I spoke with on separate occasions was incredibly unhelpful. I've since realized there are several other interlock companies available. As soon as I am able, I will be changing companies. Honestly do not waste your time with this company. I arrived at my appointment about 10 minutes late, and the location had already closed. I was not informed they close early if you are late. Even though I had driven an hour and a half to make this appointment, they were unwilling to accommodate me, and completely unwilling to waive a reschedule fee, when they were closed upon my arrival. Do not come to them, I did not even receive the cup cover thing that comes when you add the insurance. Absolutely horrendous customer service read more

Please save yourself the trouble and don't waste your time or your money by going to this place. This isn't even my do you why but I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend because I'm the one that's had to go to this interlock and do the appointments for him. Not only does this place miss calculate their system that they use miscalculates and then generates ridiculous amounts of numbers that you do not owe they try to say that we missed an appointment which is nowhere near true every single time we go there we always have to pay what to do and more late fees etc. finally after this last time of them saying we owe $600 for a missed appointment and now they're going to be crediting us back they're still not even going to credit us back the money that we paid extra last time this place is a joke it should be reported ! The people that work there have lower IQs than a rock. I honestly don't even know how these people keep their customers all I can tell you is that we're getting our in our lock out taken next weekend! ‍ read more

Absolutely worthless company. They brag about how their system is different than other interlock systems, and how you don't have to worry about blowing false positives. This is untrue, considering my pregnant wife has failed twice now in less than a month of having the device. Don't worry though, if you call customer service they'll do absolutely nothing to help you, show you no empathy, refuse to check if your system is faulty without a fee, and blame you for their hardware repeatedly malfunctioning. I have called 3 times trying to dispute this and every time I get someone with an attitude who blames it on a piece of gum you may have chewed 4 months ago or that you may have used hand sanitizer in the last year. They also won't help you dispute any false fails with the MVD, but if you call the MVD they'll tell you every other interlock company submits the disputes on behalf of the driver. I'm at the point where we can't even drive our car anymore and just choose to Uber everywhere or borrow a car from a family member. Please, choose ANY other interlock company in arizona before using these guys. They are inconsiderate, money hungry, and will blow smoke until they've made their sale. But once they do, you are worthless to them. They have made transportation a nightmare and I worry their faulty system is going to cost me thousands in fines if I hadn't stopped driving my car. read more

I come to get my interlock calibration, I get here on time, and watch as 5 other people who came after get out before I do, I never had to wait 40-50 minutes for them to calibrate here, I think the guy is new but this is very frustrating why schedule a appointment if you are going to be just messing around with your friends and are very rude when I ask a question. When I say rude I mean just disrespectful. read more

As getting a DUI sucks enough having to deal with a company that only profits from the forced laws. This company has horrible customer service, a device that operates ok, but is loud and annoying. During the instal you watch a video that says "best device on the market". I have friends that have one installed and goes off 1/2 the amount of times the quick start device does. I missed an appointment and they charged me an extra $70 ($35 for the unlock code, $35 for the missed appt) from what reviews I have read, other companies will work with you and waive it the first time. Not this place. They have limited offices in the valley, which makes it difficult if you work normal business hours. Gayle K. Warning!! Do not use this company - They will nickle and dime you to death and the customer service skills are abominable! I cannot stand your staff at one of the Phoenix locations. They have no customer service skills whatsoever! They are continually monotone and smart alecks to all the customers. I told them 2 months ago I had to go to the MVD to restart my ignition interlock. They should had told me to wait before paying two months of service before finding out I could not drive! I wasted $170!! Today I had a family member go in to have it removed. Because I did not have the cup I was charged extra!! (Remember to return the cup or you will be charged extra!!) It cost me at total of $470 to not drive the car for 2 months and have the interlock removed. Wow! What a great service! What a joke! Warning! Avoid their services!! read more

Tucson location needs better personnel. It's bad enough as is to have to go thru the DUI process, now having to deal with Representatives who are unprofessional and rude is the last thing we "customers" need. Knowing I have to come back once a month to be treated the same way makes me regret having chosen this place. read more

Do not go to this place.! Spend your money elsewhere. Their lack of knowledge and Unprofessionalism is beyond poor. This is absolute garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Any where is better than here. If there was an option to give them less than 1 star... I would gladly do it. My initial problem was Quickstart installed my interlock without telling me I had the incorrect notice from the MVD. Bummer. it cost me $250 to remove the device and break contract. If one of their staff members would have thoroughly looked over my paper work before taking my money and installing the device, the $250 fine on top of normal DUI fines wouldn't have sucked the life right out of me. This is my first and last DUI, I didn't know what I was doing. My second issue: It cost me money to reinstall the device once I finally received the correct paper from the MVD. I'd like to think of myself as a financially stable/responsible person. This experience has literally sucked every penny I have right out of me. Third issue: I do not see on their website that a missed "blow" costs $35 in addition to the monthly $88 I pay (do not get insurance). On their website http://quickstartaz.com/interlock-laws/ under "Interlock Laws" then "missed or failed running test" it reads: "The Arizona MVD requires the interlock participant to take breath samples at random intervals after the vehicle is started. Once the device prompts the participant for a test they have 6 minutes to complete the breath sample. ONE failed or missed running test could result in an Ignition Interlock program violation and might result in a possible extension of the interlock program" ****I have not made it home yet to re-read the contract to see if it is clearly stated in there.**** Interesting... it does not include the $35 fee. Besides the horrendous customer care and lack of honesty, this device is so LARGE and frankly, a driving hazard- I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a smaller device. I can't tell you how many times this has rolled under my brake pedal or gas pedal while driving on the freeway/road. I apologize to the public that my full attention isn't on the road as I have 6 minutes to locate the device under my break pedal, get off the freeway, come to a stop safely, and blow. EEEEK! In conclusion: This is a shitty, dishonest, money sucking company that I'd never, ever recommend even to my worst enemy. read more

I just had my Interlock Device removed today! Thank Jesus cause I had that thing for 18 months and it was just annoying!! but then again, every Interlock is annoying and a hassle. I honestly don't think my device was bad actually, I liked that it had the LED light to alert me cause I always blast music. Well just wanted to write a review because I saw most reviews were about the service and I couldn't agree more!! Had mine installed at the Tempe location because it was 5 minutes from work but Jeeeeeeezzzz all the guys that work at that location are on their rags 24/7!!!!! (sorry ladies lol) and they're rude as F#*K!! after going there like twice I realized they had a location on 51ave and the I-10, even though it was further I started going to that one and only that one because the two guys who work there are super friendly and very understanding. They greet you and thank you!! If you have to go to any location, go to this one!!! Tip: If you just got an Interlock, it would VERY wise to invest $10 on a cheap Breathalyzer on Amazon or something, because they don't tell you this but even if you only have a few drinks the night before and try to start your car the next morning, the Interlock more than likely will detect some alcohol in your system and lock you out!! Good Luck!! read more

I chose Quickstart on a referral from a friend. Everyone is always very friendly, the device was installed quickly. I was given thorough instruction on how to use it and how to prevent any issues with lockouts or a dead battery. When I did have a lockout from a missed running test (oops) they were able to help me quickly get back on the road. Most monthly appointments are very fast. I hate having the device, it is very inconvenient, but I broke the law and accept I have to pay the price. I'm just thankful Quickstart makes the process as pleasant as possible. Thanks guys for all your help! read more

Probably the most inept operation I've ever seen. Love to benefit from the mishaps of their own product. If it ever Malfunctions they don't give you the time of day to listen to the issue. Also if you end up getting your unit off early because of good behavior they charge you $100 for early removal. Staff is all uneducated and toothless. read more

OK, so having an interlock was mandated and sucks. So here is a real review of the service and not a result of the circumstance I put myself in. I called many places for an interlock and they were all pretty much the same price. I chose quickstart primarily because of the Arizona summer and it stating that the device was able to be left in the car. Lets talk about the device. It was larger than I thought, but the thing went from picking up to starting my car in less than 15 seconds every single day. How about the service appointments, because that is where I have read some other bad reviews. Look... if you give these guys respect they will and do give it back. If you come in with an attitude, you probably will get one back. I absolutely never had an issue either with the guys behind the counter or the customer service team that answered the calls. How about the device reliability? Well I never ever had a problem. I had one time where I think I pulled the cable too tight as I was at a drive thru when the rolling retest happened and I did not want to blow into it while he was looking at me so I twisted a bit and it registered a voltage drop on the unit because I pulled the cable too tight. The interlock told me I had to bring it back within 3 days or a permanent lockout would happen but I called them and because it was not related to an actual violation they gave me a code that bypassed that and I never had to do anything else besides make that call. Look, I am a real customer that had the damn thing installed for what felt like far too long. I am leaving the review I wanted to read when I was struggling to pick an interlock company. If you have an attitude and feel like you need to give these guys grief, you will have issues at every single interlock company. If you just treat this as doing your time for a bad decision, its actually a good company to deal with. The dang thing never ever took longer than 15 seconds to start my car even in January and the brutal 110 degree summers in Arizona. Cold areas may be affected as I was told... but 45 degrees had no impact. I think this company and device is a good choice. I am not all kudos... the cup that they offer is not viable to use. The cable has to come up from the bottom which literally makes it impossible to sit into a cup holder. It will sit at like a 45 degree angle in your holder. But... none of the other guys have a cup and it is patented so you cannot buy another on Amazon. The device was reliable and the customer service was actually pretty good. read more

I went to the one at Scottsdale and thunderbird and my experience with David was awesome. He was super helpful and professional. Five stars!

I have had my interlock for 15 months. For the most part everything has been great. When it was first installed I had many problems with it, leaving me stranded for hours at times. The owner did eventually call me and give me a credit for one month, so I guess they made it right. Since then everything else has been easy. Been to three of their locations and staff has always been nice or at least not rude. Normally in and out quickly. As I mentioned I have had my interlock for 15 months, I have never missed an appointment. Nor have I ever had to reschedule without giving them their 24 hour notice. Today I went in to get my monitor serviced, my car has been running poorly so I had someone drive me up so I could take my monitor to be serviced. When I got there though they said my vehicle had to be with me for an inspection. I explained that it was being sent to the dealership tomorrow to be serviced. They told me they could not complete service without the vehicle being here then directed me to call the main office @ 888-717-8278. When I called I got the "pleasure" of speaking with Tony, the on shift supervisor. I explained my situation and he told me that I would be charged a $25 fee for a same day reschedule. Again I explained my situation to him and asked if he could help me out this time. And since in the 15 months I've had my interlock I've never done a same day reschedule and before this visit, and no one has ever inspected my vehicle. Tony proceed to tell me it's policy, I told him I understood, but pleaded that I went out of my way today to get my monitor down here today and if I could just get my appointment changed by one day or anything. After going back in forth for awhile Tony started telling me "whatever" and was extremely rude. Long story short, I would have recommended this company until my encounter today with their floor supervisor. read more

The worst company I've ever dealt with. Misleading and unhelpful. They are out to take your money and have no intention of making a difficult and frustrating process any less frustrating. Their customer service reps are rude and get snippy with you if you have any issues. My car would not start after my uninstall first off. This place is absolutely horrible the customer service department will literally hang up on you or leave you on endless hold. My vehicle wouldn't start when they uninstalled my unit ironic that I had written a bad review of them the day before on Google because of their neglect to tell me that I needed to call the center to set my last appointment because the physical location can't set an uninstall so I got to wait another three days. The "technical supervisor" hung up on me when I asked what the process is when I send them the bill for having my vehicle incapacitated meanwhile he just kept interrupting saying the device wouldn't have damaged anything refusing to accept that the "technician" could have done anything wrong. The starter was fried (which the interlock is wired to) the owner of this business must be uninterested in having a successful business because if I had read any of this before I NEVER would have gone to them in the first place. read more

Today i arrived 45 minutes before close to make my payment. Doors were locked, lights were off. I went to the back and knocked the employee at prince and oracle in tucson opened the door to explain that he was in the bathroom. Then because i had brought the unit with me on my way home from work i was told i had to have my car. So i went home got my car arrived 10 minuets before close to find no one there. No one ever answers the phone. I had to change my battery 3 months ago and could not reach any one as there advert says they can remotely access your device or stop violation from occurring if you need to work on your car just call. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. Aside from taking my appointment to have the unit installed i have fail to reach anyone by phone. I will go to the courts with a written letter outlining the lack of responsibility to clients if i receive a violation for your unprofessional employee locking the business door during work hours and leaving early. There customer service is lacking. I had a lot of questions when I called and the lady seemed angry she had to answer my questions. This company is not ran professionally. You have to bring in your ignition interlock device once a month and each time was a long drawn out process. My interlock had malfunctions and I had missed a running test (once), I called the office and spoke to a lady who explained what happened and stated that they would not charge me for the malfunction and error of the device. When I went in for my monthly appointment, I gave the device to Donavan and he told me i would have to pay a fee for the malfunction. A $35.00 fee. I had explained to him that the Customer Service Rep would not charge me due to the malfunction of the interlock device. He then laughed at me and said who is she to tell you that. He then told another employee nearby about the situation and they both were laughing at me. It was very rude on his part and the other employees. I tried to explain my situation and he cut me off and was very rude. Even acted in an aggressive manner. I will never recommend this company. read more
