I went back a couple of weeks later and he provided me with quick and clear answers to questions I had. Today, after three months, he remembered me and my truck. Sam was outstanding! I needed something special and he dropped everything he was doing in order to quickly help me out. Sam made sure that I was given excellent service. It is clear that he truly cares about me. No one wants to get a DUI. It's one of the most stressful and expensive things you can go through. I decided to go with AZ Interlocks after reading the reviews here and checking Better Business Bureau as that's my typical practice. Both looked good. It's important to note that the five star reviews here don't mention any issues. It's easy for a business to behave morally and ethically when nothing is going wrong. However I quickly began having issues with my device. I've repeatedly been unable to drive my own vehicle because the device fails. The ONLY reason why I shouldn't be able to drive is if I fail a blow. This has forced me to pay for rides a number of times, which is incredibly unfair and quite frankly unacceptable. When I brought this to them they tried to blame my car. I have a brand new car and had the battery looked at. Hector was a terror to deal with, incredibly snide, rude, entitled, and lacking any degree of compassion or responsibility. If your device doesn't work, what follows IS your responsibility! I came here to post my review and saw other one star reviews that detail my exact experience, so clearly I'm not the only one. I went back to BBB and discovered that there are actually two pages for AZ Interlocks- one that says AZ InterlockS (plural) and another that says AZ Interlock (no S). Interestingly their actual page has an F rating- no big surprise. It seems they created another page to deflect from this rating (the one without the S on the end). This is extremely deceptive. I most likely will be taking Hector to small claims court, since that will likely be the only way to get compensated for my losses, a direct result of AZ InterlockS failures. I left multiple voice mails during regular business hours for a couple of days. I used their own web message service each time as well. If Hector is right and they never got them, then they are just completely incompetent. I suspect that no one that works there wants to deal with problems anymore. The BBB also made multiple attempts to contact them since this review and they could not get in touch with anyone there. If Hector wants to be a stand up guy, he can reimburse me for the $180 that I'm out for doing the work that they refused to. ** Update -- Hector says I wasn't his customer. I dealt with Hector directly. Not only was I his customer, but he personally forgot to order my interlock device for my scheduled install and I had to reschedule. It was a long 2 years the team at az interlock west who did the service were great so glad it's finally over.

nobody here is happy that got a dui, but i was genuinely happy to see jackie and an every time i go into az interlocks on rio solado. i was lucky enough to be told by my alcohol screening program to go through them because they don't screw u with the hidden fees, i already am paying a boatload for everything else. but the thing i really like most is the fact that they know me and i know them on a first name basis and they are extremely helpful. there's only a few people that work that front desk and most often ur are greeted by Jackie (a superstar in customer care) i was 15 days late to my appointment and almost got stranded in the desert driving home from california when my breathalyzer was acting up (as sometimes the software does on any breathalyzer) and jackie gave me a code to help. not only this but i routinely stop in with zero appointments and she has never turned me away. if u have a dui and choose another company i promise u won't want to go out of your way to write a review for them, like i will for jackie and Az interlock. and yes, i'm a real, unpaid person. read more

This is literally the WORST company. I've had my device for about 6 months. This should be my last month with it, and prior to this month, I've had no real issues with them. I feel like they know I am about to done with the program so they have been coming out the ASS with all these fees. The first time this piece of shit device locked me out, I was at work in Phoenix, and my whole car wouldn't start. I called the AZ interlocks and spoke with Sam, who literally went back & forth with me trying to tell me it was my car that was the issue. My car is A BRAND NEW 2020 NISSAN. So no, it wasn't my car. Instead of doing what they are literally paid to do! He made me find a ride, leave my car at work, and bring the device 25 mins away to him because he was insisting that it wasn't the device and that nothing was wrong with it. I take the device there, and what do you know. It's the freaking device ! So now, we are going to drive all the way back to my job, which we could have avoided in the first freaking place If he would have just listened! He had to change the cord out as it was faulty and my device had to be changed out a few times as well. They keep trying to charge me all these little fees, violation fees and crap that were already previously waved. The device itself, is wearing down my car battery! But they keep insisting that's it's my battery that is the issue and that's not the case ! They will literally sit here and argue with you then to do their fkn job! Every month, I paid ON TIME! And in the event that I couldn't, I was very vocal about it. They are just rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. This situation is hard as it is, and they make it so much harder. I doubt any other place would be any better, but I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this one. Just problem after problems and they do not care about the customers, only their money. They will literally argue with you then help you. I'm ready to sue for emotional stress and having to come out of pocket to fix shit on my car that their interlock is the problem for ! read more

Have to hated having an interlock in my vehicle but Hector, Jacki and the rest of the crew where very helpful and did not judge or look down at me. My experience has been sub par at best. My device has been faulty, it drained a brand new battery , now I was told I needed to order a new handset and was given a number to call. Was told it was their day off so they couldn't help me .. would not recommend this to anyone. When i Called the number for my handset I was unable to get ahold of anyone . A day and a half later hector did come by and replace my handset. His customer service has been good, my device has not been. Hopefully the new device will function properly and more efficient. read more

I wish I could give them 0/5 stars. First of all, their website stated that "installation is free." When I showed up, after my customer account was created and my credit card number was put into their billing system, Hector then decided to tell me that I would have to pay the first month's fee of $82.00 and a WIRING FEE of $25.00! I went to multiple other locations for ignition interlock devices and NONE of them charged for wiring. And the hassle they put me through doesn't stop there. I was going on vacation in 2 days so the whole "free install" statement made this place very attractive. But after I learned that I would have to pay over $100 to install it I told them that I couldn't pay that right now and that they need to take my information out of their system. Hector informed me that he did. Two days later as I'm driving up to Colorado for a week, I notice my bank account was lower than what I remembered. HECTOR CHARGED ME THE $82.00 AND THE $25.00 FEES THAT I WAS TOLD WERE NOT TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. It took 4 days and 5 elongated phone calls with 3 different companies (one being my bank) to get my money back. But wait, there's more! :D I got my interlock installed for $50 at another shop and I think I'm in the clear with Arizona Interlocks.... WRONG. I received emails from their third party billing company (yeah that's correct, it's as sketchy as it sounds) saying that Hector and his company installed my device that day and that I would be facing legal penalties because I never got my device serviced. So now my driving privileges are in jeopardy because of either Hector's lack of competence or his desire to screw people out of their money. This company was such an appalling experience and if I even hear a stranger on the street mention that they're going to get an interlock installed by them, I will go out of my way to tell them not to. It's pitiful what Hector is running over there. read more

Hector was really difficult. The device was faulty after going to pick up groceries and so I called after it failed me three times. I was stuck at the grocery store with perishable food for an hour in the hot sun, unable to even use AC in my car and having to sit in there re-testing. I had worked a nine hour shift and had to make a quick run to the grocery store. I was supposed to meet someone from OfferUp about couches right after the grocery store and that fell through since they got frustrated that I was late back to my place. They drove an hour to my place for delivery, and since I was unable to rely on the device to unlock my car, I got yelled at by them and they left. While on the phone with Hector, I started to cry a little out of frustration and he literally was acting like it was my fault, and said "just have someone else blow into it if you are unable to" as if he thought I had been drinking. Paying $100 a month for this crummy device and unable to rely on it. Such awful service, such an awful experience. I wish I could just switch companies but I only have four months left, and it's just not worth it. It has drained my alternator and had caused me to replace it- another $350 expense. I can't stress enough why you should go with another company! Please save yourself some stress. read more

I wanted to title this the same as a quote from another completely unsatisfied customer but I'll just include the quote here... I have been trying to get my vehicle serviced and they won't call back or answer phones but if you take the time to drive all the way up there....guaranteed they will be just sitting there, eating or playing on the phone. I have had the device for just under a month and I have had to go back three times for "service inspection needed, 3 day countdown" just a word to others, when you throw the vehicle in park, listen for any form of beeping. Just a quick tip: Only sign up for the 6 months if you are unsure if you are eligible for early removal. In the past year I've been able to always get ahold of hector if I had any questions about my interlock functions, rules and regulations. My battery was two years old when I had it installed and still starts up just fine a year and a half later. Monthly maintenance and updates were quick and simple. Obviously getting a DUI is not a fun or desirable experience. However, Hector and his team at Arizona Interlocks try and make the experience of installing and maintaining a vehicle interlock device as smooth and painless as possible. Upon first arriving at their shop, Hector did a great job explaining the fees, rules and penalties associated with having an interlock device installed and answered any questions I had. After install, he showed exactly how to use the device and made sure I felt comfortable with how to use it before leaving the shop. The process of scheduling monthly appointments is also super simple and easy and takes place through an automated appointment scheduling application on their website. On multiple occasions, I had complications, whether with the device itself, my car needing maintenance or purchasing a new car and transferring the device between cars. On every one of these occasions, Hector went out of his way to work with me, including once even driving out to my car from his shop to figure out why my device was not turning on. Although it was an easy fix of a loose wire connection, going out of his way to come look at my car off-site really showed he cares about customer service. Driving with an interlock device for an entire year is not an enjoyable experience by any means, but Hector and Arizona Interlocks really made the experience that much easier.
