Absolute thieves. I have already placed a formal complaint with BBB and am in correspondence with…read moreADOT, the MVD and the Department of Consumer Affairs. What happened? Dec 15th / 1100: Paid $45 cash to the tech; Paid $200 to the office of Budget IID; Had device installed. Dec 15th / 1130: The device tells me I've reached my violation limit and will lock me out on the 20th. (By this time I have turned my car off then back on again 1 time since installation 30min prior) Budget IID was made aware of this and responded by telling me that "if I hit the brake pedal while starting the vehicle, that is considered a violation which costs $50". I double-checked the user manual I was sent, along with the paperwork I signed and nowhere is there ANY mention of hitting the brake pedal causing a violation. I told them I wanted it removed from my vehicle. They tried telling me I would be charged a fee for "early termination of contract" but I never signed a 6-month contract! I pointed that out to them and they responded by agreeing to waive the said fee (for early termination of a contract I never signed) but I would still have to pay the shop $75 to remove the device! lol Then when I asked where the rest of the $200 payment I gave them went they responded, again, with "Oh that goes toward your early termination fee:" (of the contract I never signed!) This has far surpassed ridiculous. It's a good thing I don't need that vehicle to get to work right now or anything or I would be screwed! I've given up on the back and forth and am escalating the matter to the proper authorities. I've attached photos of the emails I mentioned. I tried to upload the user manual they sent me (the one that makes no mention of a brake pedal causing a $50 violation) but it won't let me. If you're interested to see, please feel free to message me as I would be happy to send it to you.

Great custom fabrication, told him what I want and how I listen and he hasn't disappointed. When I first met Mike, the owner, he seemed nice and showed me some of their work that impressed me. He told me the equipment I bought from another shop (Slangin Sound) was "trash," and assured me he could work within my budget of 3-4k. He said he would build me a custom enclosure, add an amp, tint my windows and even add some lighting, claiming it wouldn't be more than a few hundred extra. At that point, I felt comfortable moving forward. But once I dropped off my car, everything changed. He initially told me not to worry about the cost, then suddenly demanded $3,200 midway through, before the work was even close to finished. When I hesitated, he pressured me and even questioned whether I had the money. Later, he demanded another $5,000, threatening to rip everything out of my car if I didn't pay. Way above what we talked about and he told me if I didn't like it, he'd just keep the equipment and I could take my car as is. So I had no choice but to pay at that point. The workmanship was terrible. The tint job was sloppy, with bubbles and even a chunk missing on the driver's door. My car had a large scratch on the hood and was covered in overspray on the paint, windows, and trim. His "fix" was dabbing off-color nail polish on the scratch, which made it look even worse. When I asked about the stereo not sounding right, his response was "f*** you." At that point I knew I wasn't going to get anything resolved. On top of that, he refused to give me any receipts, invoices, or proof of purchase for the equipment I supposedly paid for. That is not only unprofessional, it is shady and illegal. Cre8ive is untrustworthy, unprofessional, and potentially criminal in how they treat customers. They took advantage of me financially, delivered terrible workmanship, damaged my vehicle, and refused to provide documentation for the expensive equipment I purchased. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this place entirely. There are plenty of reputable audio shops out there--this is not one of them.
