My iMac 27" computer needed a new motherboard. I went to the Apple store to find that they were going to charge me over $1800.00 for the repair. I then call around to find that most places were going to charge me from $1000 - $1250 for the same repair. After reading some reviews, I decided to call Quick Fix Computer services at 1827 Redondo Ave., Long Beach, CA 90803 I spoke to Ash whom I later found was the owner. Ash quoted me a price of only $500.00, parts and service. I really had my doubts, however I dropped of the computer and waiting for a few days for them to get to it, as we had agreed. The technician called me back some days later to confirm that the motherboard needed to be replaced and said that it would be just under $900.00. I informed him that somebody by the name of Ash quoted me $500.00 parts and labor. The technician politely put me on hold, talked to Ash, then came back to me and said that the motherboard was much more expensive than he thought, however they would stand behind their quote. It is at that time I found out the Ash was the owner. The bottom line was, every person I talked to was polite and competent. The service was great and on time. And they stand behind what they say and do. I will recommend them to anybody at an A+ rating. read more

My computer began giving me notifications it was at capacity so I took it in for diagnosis thinking it would be expensive to fix and I would need to buy a new one. I went to Bestbuy to have my computer looked at for viruses. They wanted a total of around 300$. Then I called around, and found Quick Fix. They offer free diagnostics and a really good turn around time. They are always so busy, so I don't know how they get computers back so fast or make time for their customers. Anyway, they got rid of all the nasty junk, cleaned it and tuned it up. This thing runs faster then when I bought it, and I didn't have to lose any information. They showed me a little trick for keeping my computer from getting viruses, and I haven't had a problem for a little over a year now (still fast)! There is a time in a gamers life, where he gets beyond excited from getting that high score or taking some kids out. You accidentally drop you super matle ipa all over your keyboard, and it explodes. According to the internet and most experts your computer is toast. All that hop and sugar coating my fragile components. I figured it was a wrap, as a last ditch effort I bring it to these wizards in a sad attempt to bring my laptop back from the murky depths of stone brews double ipa. Not only is it working like I got it out of the box, it doesn't even smell like beer! And for only $199.... I am astounded at there skill and low price. Been to them several times, and the last time SUCKED. I got my computer back with a different keyboard faceplate, which was damaged and when I complained I was told there was nothing I could do. EXCUSE ME? They admitted they broke the original one and replaced it with the one currently attached, and told me I was not going to be able to get one without damage to it. Wouldn't say why. I took it in because I was getting black lines with a white background on the screen. Guess what, I'm currently getting it again, so the work they said they did was faulty, if they did any work at all. Further, the power supply cord I brought in with the laptop shorts out if I move it and I lose power immediately. It didnt do that when I turned it over to them to supply power to my laptop. They called me while it was in the shop to tell me they had to reformat the computer, and after assuring me they would restore all software that came with the computer, I gave my permission. You know what I'm going to say, right? They didn't replace some of my software and told me I would have to buy what wasn't restored. They did however, restore documents. Oh, and by the way, didn't get a receipt or a record of any work done. Honestly, I wonder if I even got my actual laptop back, and not someone else's. I have my doubts. Overall, An awful experience that I would not recommend to anyone. I will never have work done there again. read more

I absolutely love the service! I am the worst at taking care of my laptop, they have helped me innumerable times. The service is always prompt, effective and they have always gone out of their way to make sure my laptop works the way is supposed to. Their pricing is by far better than any other place. I simply couldn't take my laptop anywhere else because I trust them and I trust that they will be fair with the charges, which is not something I could ever say about any other place. This last time I took it in I had a bad virus and just to check I contacted 3 different places, and was quoted 3 different prices. Yes, I did wait a long time before posting before I posted a review because I was too upset about the crap ass job they did. I didn't want to completely say some inappropriate language but it's kind of hard when they don't put your laptop back together properly. We had a broken screen and after reading the many yelp reviews we decided to go ahead and schedule a repair with them. They took forever to actually finish our repair and gave them extra time, when we got it back.... They told us that the hinges were loose because of the manufacturer's design. Strange because we've never noticed anything wrong with it before. The frame of the screen was coming apart with a very huge noticeable gap. My bf took it back in to have fixed AGAIN! And they had the nerve to say it might have been our fault. They did a half ass job of it, if you ask me. They had for another day or more and when we received it again, it was still in the same state, wobbly frame. At that point we we're just tired of dealing with their horrible service and how they couldn't own up to their OWN mistakes so we didn't take it back. WE WERE ALSO AFRAID, that they would just mess it up even more. THEY HAVE RUINED OUR OVER $500 LAPTOP, now it is so fragile and flimsy. They added screws to the back cover to remedy the problem of "loose hinges" Well you should see the job they did of that. They aren't even flush with the cover. IF YOU WANT AN UNFORGETTABLE IMPROPER REPAIR, yes please go to them otherwise steer clear. I'm sure they'll try to post a rebuttal to this review or claim that this is fake but I was a real paying customer. I would scouts honor but I'm not a scout. My laptop fell on me a few times, and a few baby screws from the bottom came out. I went to several stores to look for those screws and they didn't have them. So i went online and found this place. Luckily i called and asked if they might have some. They said they had plenty and to just go in and show them what kinda screws i need it. So i went in and showed the guy. He went to the back and thank God he had some. He gave me plenty of screws and didn't charge me a single penny for them. I offered to pay but he kept insisting it was fine. Having that type of GENEROSITY shows a lot, such Honesty and trustworthiness. Also place looks Legit. They have their degrees(Computer Science) mounted on the wall. That gives a sense of security. Okay, so my son, a teenager, placed his MacPro on the arm of our couch in the garage and it falls off, approximately 3 feet to the cement floor. He had just closed the lid, but it was still on. Bam! Hard drive is f%×*ed! So I purchased it at Best Buy, and phew, it's still under warranty with the infamous "Geek Squad". So I bring it to Best Buy Costa Mesa and I am greeted with "Do you have an appointment?, which I didn't, so I had to make one and drive back later that day. Pain in the ass! So I am told "Data recovery is not covered". I paid them to recover data. They couldn't get it!!! They say, "it could cost you a $500-1000". I had ENOUGH BS. I told my son, "I will bring it to my office IT guys and see what they can do. So I called Quick Fix who I have been doing biz with for several years, at least 5. Ash and Alan are the brothers who own the biz. Matt was very reassuring and confident they could do the job in house and it would cost $100. Needless to say, they did it! They recovered my son's original music for $100, so I said f÷*k the Geek Squad and their warranty. Alan said $189.00 to replace the hard drive, done by noon tomorrow. Those geeks at Best Buy told me it would be sent out and could take weeks and no guarantees on data recovery! My son had music edits to do! Quick Fix obliterated the Geek Squad again! $289.00 and done within a couple of days! House call to the office today and my network was fixed in 30 minutes. $95. These guys are the best!!! While attempting to synch my new tablet with my router I screwed up my router, and thus my personal laptop, my company laptop. my printer, and my cellphone. I found Quick Fix Computer on Yelp and was impressed with the positive reviews. I called them on the phone and drove down to their building. They saw some settings were wrong, reset them, and did not charge me. That surprised me. Unfortunately I still had issues when I went home. Matt came to my house around 5 p.m. on a Friday night and didn't leave until about 7 p.m. Not only did he come to my house when many would have called it a day, but he fixed the settings on router, the two laptops, the cell phone, and the tablet. He also downloaded some drivers and caught some malware. I think I'm in love... I don't think I will ever waste days playing around trying to figure out what I happened. I'm SO glad i discovered this repair shop. I used to take my MacBook Pro to the Apple Store--where repairs cost a mint, you had to wait as long as a week for them to get to it, and you're treated like a second class citizen visiting a country club. My airport card went out so I kept losing my WiFi connection. I took it to the Apple store twice, they installed a new airport card twice--and I kept losing my WiFi connection. In frustration, I went to Quick Fix. They diagnosed the problem right away: the MacBook Pro's airport card is attached to the motherboard, and the card had worked loose from it. So, instead of telling me to spent $800-$1,000 on a new motherboard--which is what the Apple Store would've said--the Quick Fix repair guy Ash sold me a Trendnet AC600 Dual BandWire USB Adapter for $39.95. It restored my WiFi capability so I get great internet connectivity. So, if you've got a problem with an Apple or any other kind of laptop or tablet, take it to these guys. They're geniuses at what they do, they work fast, never overcharge you, and are up to speed on the latest, greatest technology. Oh my goodness where to even start with how amazing this business is. I called because my cat broke my screen and I wanted to get it repaired but anyways. Let's start off with Chris. Chris was very helpful with letting me know what condition my computer was in and tried to pull it up on the screen using a VGA cable, sadly it didn't work but there was a sign of relief when I saw my pointer on the screen, quoted my price and that was that. Alan was so so so helpful! I called to check in on my laptop and it was on the bench, a few hours later he calls to inform me that the screen I have is very unique and they don't have it in the shop so they ordered one and it was on the way. He reassured me that the price will not change (which is rare in places like this!) today I got the call while I was at work that my laptop was ready, I get off at 6 and they close at 6. He worked with me, I got there at 6:50 he wasn't angry, no attitude, no sign of judgement only reassurance (this is where I really really appreciated this) I forgot my password, many attempts failed so he went into the motherboard and deleted the file so that I could get in problem free. By that time it was 7:20 he could have just locked up and shrugged it off because I was extremely late and he could have been at home by that time. But he didn't . Very very talented lads. I brought my MacBook Pro laptop with a flickering and color-impaired LCD into Quick Fix after getting what I thought was an extremely high quote from the Apple Genius Bar just to do a Level 1 diagnostics and possible repair. Right away Alan determined that my problem was the LCD and not the logic board or other internal electronics. For half the price, Quick Fix took my computer, ordered a new LCD and had it up and running after the holidays.
