I came in on a Tuesday around 11:30 AM for an 11:40 appointment, and it was definitely busy enough that I was expecting a delay. Surprisingly, I was called back right on time at 11:41. My phlebotomist was friendly, professional, and efficient. She brought me into a private room, verified my information, and completed the draw on the first attempt without any issues. This is the first time I've been to this location since they've renovated and moved everything downstairs. The last time was years ago for an employer. They have a self check in with the kiosk and you need a QR code. Once you check in there you just have a seat in the lobby and wait for them to call you. Once I checked in, I waited about five minutes in the lobby was fairly full, but they seem to have a good system down with no long waiting. read more

Avoid this location. I ve been going to quest labs for years but even with an appointment advertised as available I waited over 90 min in my wheelchair for "my turn'. The location on orangeburg never had a wait with appointment. Horrible service. Why do they advertise an appointment time as open when it's not. Don't use this location. I have to have labs drawn frequently and this is my #1 place after going to so many different ones. I just highly recommend making an appointment. It is very to do online. If you look at the other 1 star reviews the major complaints are because they didn't make an appointment. With an appointment, there is almost no wait. The care is excellent! Staff is quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Also a plus, the place is always clean! All the bad reviews are from years ago. Someone new must of taken over because in the last two years I haven't had any issues at all. read more

I haven't been to this location after the renovations, but I have been here a few times over the years. I normally go in the early morning because of fasting--I sometimes walk-in and sometimes make an appointment, but as long as I'm at least 4th in line, I'm out of there in less than 20 minutes. I like that they open at 6 and the staff is generally friendly and efficient. The entrance is directly across from the ELITE building entrance and the Quest lab is connected to the RADIOLOGY building. I like that there's an automatic door and the room is large enough so that I don't feel closed-in. I like that two people can sign in at the same time, but I often see people slowed-down and annoyed by the iPad sign in, so it would be nice if the staff would be more visible/available to help those who are obviously confused. If you're like me, and want to be first in line at 6, it's not always easy--on some days, you may find yourself waiting fifth in line, in the cold, even if you show up early. read more

These people are rude. Had a blood test there on March 9, 2020. Went to their website and requested the results the same day. It is now March 19, 2020 and my results are still not posted. My Dr. got them. Am on medicare and the test is paid for....where are my results? Bet they have some asinine excuse. They always do it seems. You are not allowed to actually speak to a person when you call either/any of their numbers (same with the other locations). These people are unprofessional, rude and JUST INTERESTED IN THE MONEY! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS WHATSOEVER!!!! They are criminals in my book and WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! They are closed for renovations. Do they tell you when you are scheduling online? Nope. In fact, they will send you reminders of your appointment, check you in online, and even tell you that you can wait in your car till someone calls you to tell you it's your turn. And when you go up to the door, there are signs that say CLOSED FOR RENOVATION and to go to other locations, but there is NO way to actually speak to a real person (either in person or on the phone) at this location. Keep in mind that all Quest Diagnostics say that walk-ins are NOT encouraged, because they are so busy you may not get seen. So the signs on their doors mean nothing to someone who made an appointment weeks ago, took the time off of work and waited for someone who was never going to call to say that their turn was next. And the real kicker is that they cancelled my appointment online 30 minutes AFTER the scheduled time. Not days before. AFTER. Even though they knew well in advance that I could not be seen at this location. AND they send you a generic apology recording 45 minutes AFTER they cancelled your appointment and tell you the location is closed for renovation. Everything about this experience is utterly ridiculous and I hope whomever reads this does not have to deal with the sheer incompetence and poor communication of Quest Diagnostics. You should remove capabilities of scheduling appointments online and over the phone if you are NOT OPEN! Holy smokes, people! read more

Complete incompetence with the billing. I went there for a lab test for employment, paid with my credit card, and got a receipt stamped PAID. A month or so later I get a bill, but not for the original amount ( which was crazy expensive as it was for 1 blood test ), but for 47 $ more. Couldn't understand this so called Quest and turns out the employee never ran my card properly so the charge didn't go through ( there has never been an issue with my card ) . Well OK, my employer had reimbursed me for the amount I thought I paid before, so I'm willing to pay that, but not the extra amount they decided to add on the bill later for no reason. Had a long conversation with a manager type at Quest explaining that you can't change the price of a service after the fact. She told me to fax her all that information/ explanation / documentation which I did. I paid the amount I owed which was the price I was charged when I walked in for the test. Now I'm still getting bills from Quest for the extra amount. At this point I've decided that the people at Quest are such morons I'll just pay the bill, but the least they deserve is this bad review. I work in health care and rarely need to have any blood tests, but I truly feel sorry for those who have to deal with these folks on a regular basis. read more
