I went to this place today and they help me, but the lady didn't came and check on me if I was good to go home or not they don't really help you. They're not really nice ladies there so rude we need new workers are nice and more helpful to patients and it's my first time going there. I wasn't happy about my visit today. read more

I will never use Quest again. Patient beware and once you get your bill, examine it carefully. I have been charged and paid my bill off in full and then a few months later, got a new bill charging different amounts for the same test and making up lab codes. Customer service is non existent, being (evidently lied to) told my bill is paid in full and then getting more bills for same service date. Also paid in office and never got reimbursed after insurance paid. I've heard this kind of billing problems has also happened to friends. read more

How is this location having such high reviews? I've had the misfortune of having to come to Quest so many times when my providers write the orders on a Quest form! The waits are astronomical without an appointment so I always make one online, and the appointment slots fill up about a week in advance so it's difficult to get in for time-sensitive tests. The online service usually recommends this location opposite the hospital on Florida for having the most available slots, so it's here I come. Note this is the Quest located in the Golden Valley Health Center across the street from Doctors. (There's another location right across the street.) you park in the garage-type setting or adjacent parking lot all accessible from Florida, in the teensy spots even a sedan can barely fit in. Then into this little glass box you head and take the elevators to the second floor where all the medical offices are located. Welcome to the stuffy, dirty, over-crowded medical building: Quest is a left-hand turn and clearly marked - HOWEVER the door says suite E while online always the address is suite G. When there's already two locations on the same street having this suite mix-up can throw you off, but don't worry, if you're inside the medical building opposite the hospital you've come to the right place no matter what the dumb door sign says. Okay, so beyond the confusion of the location and the yucky old building, I'm rating this Quest on its own merit, which isn't high. The wait times are ridiculous, even with an appointment, and the staff seem overworked and incredibly impatient. Briefly they tried to implement their e-check-in where you had to come in and type your info into a tablet; there was no human being to speak to besides the actual phlebotomists who were in the back drawing blood! Of course I witnessed several elderly patients who were unable to figure out how to use a tablet just stand there confused and frustrated demanding to speak to someone, and then people just dropping off tests also had to fill it out and sit there 20 minutes waiting for their name to be called. Major FAIL by Quest trying to save some $ by cutting staff even further, and I'm happy to report as of the time of this review they have some lovely handwritten "out of order" signs plastered over their tablet check-in stations, leaving the phlebotomists to do the office work along with draws - still no set employee to run the office from my observations. Even with an appointment expect to be waiting around a good half hour after checking in. Those without appointments, heaven help you, bring a book or a board game or something and have a waiting room party! The wait is tallied in the hours, like 1.5 hours, 2 hours, etc., without an appointment. If your test is fasting try to get those coveted online morning appointments (usually nothing available before noon) and still expect to sit hungry for a good chunk of time. Staff: now how to make a bad situation worse? Cut your staff hours back so those who are there are burdened with far too much paperwork and clientele than they can handle, and the stress levels in the building are so high you can feel it when you walk in the room! I'm pretty sure the phlebotomists didn't sign up to do paperwork, and for the few minutes it takes to collect a sample it seems like they're sitting behind the desk typing about 15min or more! They're rushed, impatient, rude, snappy, etc and it's not because they're mean people but because a simple lab has become a high stress job due to poor staffing. Is it management? Or is it upper headquarters trying to make a bigger profit? Who knows but it affects anyone who steps through the door. Now I mentioned cutting costs a few times because I think money plays into this. As a self-paying patient, I get to see the full bill every time I get labwork done, and Quest is expensive! I don't see why they have to change so much and still try to cut corners inside the building. It's frustrating as a consumer. I recommend avoiding this location, avoiding Quest overall, and going over to LabCorp where the lines are short (even -gasp- without an appointment!) and appointments breeze in immediately. And the costs are less, too! read more

Quest Diagnostics - Tight parking lots!! - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Modesto, California

I came to this location for a walk-in appointment. I chose this location because they're open until 5 PM, while the rest of locations close at 4 PM, which is when I get off work. Anyways, I got there about 4:45 PM, and it took 10-15 minutes before I was finally seen. The phlebotomist that took me back is an older woman that needs to retire soon! She tried sticking the needle in my arm, but claimed she couldn't find a vein and managed to move the needle around in my arm, which made me a big squeamish! She asked me if I was dehydrated, which I responded no and that I urinated four times throughout the day and my urine was clear, which are good indicators of adequate hydration. The only reason she couldn't find the vein is because she was sticking the needle in my arm where there was no vein! Long story short, she blew a vein in my arm, which left a nasty mark. She had to draw blood from my left arm. She noticed that I was a little tense and was telling me that I needed to relax a little, but it's hard to when you have a medical professional that doesn't seem to know what the hell they're doing! I'm the future, if I need a blood draw, I think I will take the time off work and get it done rather than going to this location. read more

My wife and I went to LabCorp on 10/5/18, there was no patient in waiting room. Worker there was very rude and with very angry look. We were treated very poorly. We decided not to deal with the angry worker. We walked out and went to Quest Diagnostics. across the hallway. We were greeted very warmly and professionally @ Quest Diagnostics Registration was quick and simple. Although there were 18 patients in waiting room it only took only 5 minutes for them to draw our blood. I have been practicing medicine in Modesto area for 39 years. Lately I have been lecturing @ community centers and schools on how to choose good doctors and other healthcare providers. One point I have emphasized is avoiding angry healthcare providers. Because they are often emotionally unstable. The unstable lab workers could use dirty needles to draw your blood, or switch your specimens to hurt you or even frame you. Beware of the angry healthcare workers! We, as patients, have choices. When we encounter angry healthcare workers, walk out. Same apply to doctors' offices too. In case of lab work, just walk out and go to other lab. You don't have to have a new doctor's order. Just use the original order and have tests done in the other lab. The quest diagnostics that are located near the hospital are the best. Don't go across McHenry to the glass building ! They are terrible !! They don't have a yelp ... Hmmm wonder why ... They would have no stars. But let me tell you about the people over there .... So the two women working at the desk today didn't even acknowledge me or greet me, they were to busy chit chatting. Came in around 2. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. When one girl decided she would just ask what I needed to get me to leave her desk as I was rudely interrupting her conversation by standing there, she just scoffed at me for asking about appointments... Because their waiting room was packed. I definitely will never wait a ridiculous amount of time to be poked with needles by unprofessional kids who shouldn't even work in the medical field. Kinda scary. The other lab on Florida on the second floor is so much better. They don't hire rude kids just because they are bilingual read more

Whatever you need done will be done so fast you won't even have to time to text your complaint of how long you've been waiting to your friends ;) Definitely the best quest to get all your diagnostic tests done, go go go! read more

I went into this facility, this morning, because it had the best appointment time available. I would have to say it was quite a pleasant experience. Other than the fact that Yo no habla caused me to have a short lived difficult time at the sign in sheet, everything went great. The employees were very pleasant and the wait time, with an appointment, was minimal. I will probably go straight to this Quest location, the next time I need to have blood work done. read more

Fast, Efficient, and helpful. Facilities were clean. I had an appointment and would have been seen on time. Received extra service when I discovered that I had forgot my paperwork. Staff sent a fax request to my doctor immediately. They had to make a second request, but still remained patient and friendly. I was seen as soon as the fax was received. I am so grateful for the staff at this location. My 11 year old daughter was very nervous and scared to have blood drawn. The receptionist was immediately reassuring and comforting and let us know that all staff at that location specialize in drawing blood for youth and babies. My daughter didn't feel a thing. We were so blessed by the staff here. read more
