I'm so glad I went to Elite Urgent Care today. Dr. Basi and his staff were great. The place was busy and start to finish was a little less than two hours but it's an urgent care and the weekend. Dr. Basi has an excellent bedside manner and he helped me more than any doctor has since my injury two months ago. I've went to the ER multiple times and to a regular doctor and Dr. Basi was more knowledgeable than all I've dealt with recently. They have labs and imaging next door which is why I decided to give this urgent care a chance which makes it convenient. I'd definitely go back. read more

Going to Elite Urgent Care was an absolutely atrocious experience. The office staff were good, the phlebotomist and Medical Assistants/Nurses were great, but doctor Basi??? TERRIBLE. The first issue was him coming in, looking over my labs and swab results, giving a diagnosis of Influenza A and then shrugging his shoulders and saying there's nothing to be done because my immune system is shot because of my weight. I can't breathe and I'm spiking +103 degree fevers all weekend, but okay, I guess that's because of my weight. (Believe me, I know the importance of diet and exercise, hence why I've been working with my primary care and other specialists for other conditions that have a direct connection to my weight.) The second issue was overhearing him take multiple phone calls regarding deliveries of supplies and yell at whoever the company was so he "wouldn't have to sit on $10,000 worth of supplies at the end of flu season." Not to mention the demeaning way he would speak to some of the employees at the urgent care. The final issue was him saying "I'll send over a prescription for the cough, then you'll be discharged." But then I waited and waited and waited for over an hour until the phlebotomist realized I was still there. When she asked the doctor if I was good to go, he responded with "she should have been gone already." I can't say enough good stuff about this place. The wait is always not too long even when there's a good amount of people there. The staff are very kind and always on top of things and their communication is top notch. I am always able to get a hold of them and the providers here as well, and they always call me back or do things if they say they will. Writing a review for my aunt. First off never have I ever had a Dr at urgent care request urine blood to see if she had a UTI When she had ZERO symptoms. Wrote her a prescription for antibiotic siting "you might have UTI" By the way you CANNOT get the results from them over the phone. You HAVE to go online. So my 83 year old aunt starts taking tye prescribed antibiotics all for Mt sister to find our her lab work came back NORMAL. After all that, she ended up at her Primary care appt all for them to say her lab results were normal. By the way they prescribed NITROFURANTOIN MONO-MCR 100MG. She ended up having a horrible reaction itching all over. Second problem was the EKG they told her she MIGHT have AFIB another MISDIAGNOSIS. Had an appointment for 11:40, was there early...and still waiting at 1:10. I asked the doctor, whom I could see from my exam cubical, when he'd be seeing me. "When I get to you." Well, I had an appointment at 11:40, and I'm still waiting. "When I get to you." Well, is that going to be soon? "When I get to you." At which point I walked out. My daughter was seen for a possible concussion in July of 2022. I paid my copayment on that day. I didn't receive a bill until November 9th of 2023. I have an FSA but I can't use it because the bill wasn't sent well after March 31 the last day my rollover amount could be used. When I emailed the reason for receiving the bill 15 months later I only received "We can't control the USPS" as if it was mailed and wasn't received for 15 months. The statement date was October 5, 2023. I asked for a better explanation and Trini gave me the same lame excuse. I do not recommend Elite Urgent Care. read more

From the moment we stepped into the waiting room we were met with disservice and negative attitude. The front desk administrative representative stated, "we don't take your insurance..." and then continued "we can't give you the shot" and then the hilarity ensued. The doctor/PA on duty called the admin to the side and lectured her on the erroneous statement. Then she came back to the desk and curtly said, "fill this out and we'll call you in a few minutes." We then got our shots, scheduled an appointment for dose #2, and after the waiting period left the clinic. When returned for our second doses the SAME thing occurred, even though we had made an appointment during dose #1 session. The same front desk attendee was wrong and due to the debate at the desk, the physician on duty stepped in again and administered our shot. We waited the required 15 minutes and left. Thinking this was the end of our dealings with this poorly administered clinic. It's now 4 months later and the bills are flooding our mailbox. So I reached out to their billing department with my confusion and concern. Considering the fact that this health care provider actively advertised and marketed their location as a place to get vaccinated at no cost I am dismayed that they are sending invoices to patients. According to their billing department these were "generated in error" yet they still collected funds from insurance providers. Secondly, most patients won't have the medical billing or insurance knowledge to know not to pay. Secondly, billing our insurance is also a bait and switch tactic since the billing department can bill the federal government for the cost of vaccine AND/OR delivery of vaccination. But they are billing insurance and customers and if we assumed they know what they are doing, that this is a viable debt (which it is not) and/or didn't call to inquire, well then, elite urgent care would be collecting a lot of extra cash. Especially since they did NOT proactively contact patients and let them know the bills were a mistake. Shoddy service. Suspect billing. And staff who are curt, rude, and not knowledgeable is a recipe for disaster. Healthcare is a service industry. Treat your customers better or they go elsewhere. I've brought my kids and my mom here too and they received awesome care. I scheduled a virtual online appointment with the owner/Dr. Basi on 3/4. I paid my $35 copay for the appointment. He was late to the call by 20 minutes. When he did come on he was very abrupt and it was quite obvious he wanted to end the call as soon as possible. This virtual appointment was a follow up appointment 5 days before when I went in person for a Covid test after testing positive with a home kit. The Dr. I saw that day was thorough, kind and patient. She prescribed the Covid medication and called in a prescription to the pharmacy for a codeine cough medicine. I picked up the cough medicine that day as well as the Covid medication On our virtual call, when I asked Dr. Basi for the codeine cough medicine refill he was insistent that he had not prescribed that medication for the last year because it was out of stock.He was totally uninformed. I insisted, he put me on hold to look into it, and then came back standing corrected and agreed to refill the medicine. After that, he quickly ended the call, hanging up abruptly before I could explain I had more questions. I called the office to tell them that he had hung up before I finished asking my questions and they agreed that he would call me back. Almost an hour later, after calling the office again, to remind him to call me, he finally did. This conversation was even worse. I tried to ask my follow up questions but he insisted he had two procedures pending. I told him I still had questions and I wasn't done. He rudely said he was and hung up on me. For this arrogant behavior where I was not allowed to have all of my questions answered, coming from the owner I felt that I was billed for a service I did not receive. I would have come in for an in office appointment but was ill advised that because I had covid I could not be seen in person. Dr. Basi said that was incorrect and that I could schedule an in person appointment. I told him I would but would not pay the $35 co payment again as I should be credited back the $35 for the virtual appoinment I made only after being told I couldn't come in person. I am waiting to hear back from billing to see If this is possible, but only after Dr. Basi told me he would not honor my request. I was very disappointed with Dr. Basi. Found him unprofessional and rude. It was an apparent he is one of those doctors that just cares about quantity of patients seen versus providing a quality service. The front desk girls were very helpful and sympathetic, probably because they know how Dr. Basi is. I am suppose to hear back from billing tomorrow to see if they will waive the $35 co payment for a follow up in person appointment since the only reason I wasn't seen in person was because they said I couldn't because I was positive. Due to the rude, arrogant and obnoxious behavior by Dr. Basi, I would not recommend Elite Urgent Care. I went to this facility on a Saturday. I was impressed with the care I received and the promptness of the care. It turns out I needed a breathing treatment and was able to get the care I needed to breathe easily again for the day. The female doctor was attentive and caring. The following day I went back for another treatment as I was struggling to breathe and needed another treatment. Unfortunately my care was nowhere near as good as the previous day. I was wheezing and had a lot of fluid in my lungs. The male doctor said I was not wheezing and just had a cough like everyone else in the room. He stated that I was combative and refused to help me. I returned to my regular physician on Tuesday, and he stated my lungs had a great deal of fluid in them and proceeded to give me the meds I need for another breathing treatment. The front office lady did an amazing job checking people in and being completely transparent to walk ins AND appointments that they were extremely busy and the wait was long. People complained and complained. She dealt with them with kindness. What do you expect?? It's an URGENT CARE people! It's the flu season! Do you want to be seen by a doctor? Then, you'll wait. I was extremely happy with the services provided at Elite Urgent Care. First off, they accept Medicare...most of the population in modesto being senior citizens have medicare...and I called a couple of urgent cares and they did not take Medicare. So WIN that they take it. Secondly, such friendly staff. they are open the weekends, they close at 2 however, waiting room is spacious. They take back, multiple beds. Very fast. They do blood draws right at bedside and give you the results almost immediately. My dad was treated for everything that he as complaining of, on top of given prescriptions that were RELEVANT to his problems. and the Nurse and MA whom work there were wonderful. I was very very pleased with the care that was given to my father. You can even make an appointment online as well!! and if you don't it's okay.. I think my father and i waited maybe 30 mins. and were out within another 30 mins Highly recommend. read more

This place is a mess. Dr. Basi is a man with egocentric views and I saw him yell at multiple patients. I am not sure which medical school he went to but this is not how you treat people who came to you for care, this is United States. Then the doctor goes around preaching that he is a ER physician when his medical residency was completed in Family medicine. He was not smart enough to get accepted into ER residency, that's okay, let that go Mr. Doctor. Instead he goes around yelling at staff and patients, then flirting around with any girl that has blonde hair. Half the time I was there, he was boasting about his house renovations and marble floors. People are waiting 2 hours to be seen by this midget doctor with his head in the clouds, only to get yelled at. Absolutely the worst. Went in with sharp pain on my left lower back side. Was told I had a UTI. Was given antibiotics. Symptoms were getting worse on the antibiotics. Called to let them know my symptoms were worse. Put me on a different antibiotic, took blood. Left the worst bruise. I would leave zero stars if I could. Dr. Basi was very dismissive to our concerns, and his bedside manner was just so horrible and disappointing. His assessment of the extremity of concern was severely lacking even though my mother kept telling him there was no pain/discomfort where he was palpating/assessing. After approximately 1 minute he already gave us a diagnosis and was extremely dismissive to any questions or concerns we had about the issue. He left the exam room without asking if we had any questions about what he was diagnosing my mom with and then sent in the medical assistant to discharge us without further explaining what he thought was happening with my mom and allowing us to understand and ask questions. By far the worst experience we've had at any medical facility and with any medical professional. read more

So I'll start with the positive. The owner is a decent doctor and efficient. The medical support people in the patient rooms area are excellent. The problem I am having is the owner stated more than once in twice of the last three visits that "anyone would know" his pre-pandemic price of a $35 membership wasn't going to last for the grandiose level of care offered by his near-Beverly Hills level quality; there's some hyperbole here but he was frustrated that for years now his billing vendor had been auto-billing my credit card the pre-pandemic price. So effectively he was gaslighting me for his administrative mismanagement. It was one of the most pompous set of statements and arrogance I have ever experienced and definitely from a doctor (particularly one that sees himself in Modesto, CA as that again of Beverly Hills boutique caliber.). I actually respect this doctor but can't abide this attitude. I was reading the transgender comment and I do sense an air of possible sexual identity bigotry. It's funny too as I have a friend that lives in San Jose and he pays about $35 month for excellent medical membership; again this is in Silicon Valley where it would be unacceptably reasonable for all of the above. Apparently I can get an even better list of member benefits for less than the new price (which I never received notification there was going to be a price increase that dramatic, from $35 to $175/month.). Also I've mentioned to him that I don't care for the very low caliber primary physician via Sutter and he doesn't offer any suggestions. Today I overheard him discussing a strong referral to a family member doctor of his who's taking new patients; so he's been slighting me for years when he probably could have ethically helped me. Keep in mind all this shytty treatment is the thanks I get for free rein/mandatory auto-billing over my credit card and loyalty for about 5 years. As I was driving my boyfriend to the hospital in the middle of the night thinking he was having a heart attack I googled 24 hour clinics and this urgent care showed up. I called the number listed and to my surprise a man answers the phone and yells " are you serious? Its 2 in the morning??!! And hung up on me! I was stunned but didnt have time to truly asses that situation as i was panicking needing to get my boyfriend care. We ended up at Memorial Hospital that night and my boyfriend recovered. The next day I dialed the same number I had called that night and I spoke to the receptionist....i let her know what the man had said and she says the man who answered was DR.BASI! Can you believe that? She proceeds to say "we are not a 24hr clinic and there is no such thing as a 24hr clinic in the state of california". Then as I'm telling her that their clinic came up as 24 hour and that his behavior was beyond terrible, she hands the phone to DR.BASI who continues to insist they arent open 24hr. His demeanor was cocky and rude and had no remorse nor apologized for how he had handled the phone call that night. After that conversation I look at their website and SEE FOR YOURSELF.....they state "24HR/7 DAY". I have been going to Dr. Basi for about a year and a half for my medical issues. The front office staff is very kind and understanding. I had been having issues with tremors that on February 17 which happen to be Presidents' Day holiday and my regular physician's office was closed so I went to Elite Urgent Care. When I walked in I was shaking so terribly and I could not fill in the tablet with my name. The receptionist asked what was wrong and I told her I can't stop shaking. The waiting room was pretty much full and she got up and went into the back and Dr. Basi came out, took one look at me and brought me immediately back into the care area. I was laid down on an examining table shaking uncontrollably. Dr. Basi had his lab assistant tried to draw my blood. My arm had to be held down because of the shaking in order to get a needle into draw blood. Dr. Basi came in and said David that he could tell I had an infection and had his staff immediately began an IV of antibiotics which was difficult to the hard because of my shaking. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later Dr. Basi came back in and told me that he had called an ambulance because of what my blood showed and I was good to be taken to the emergency room. Because of my macho attitude I told him I was going nowhere in an ambulance that I would be all right. He stated that I was going to go to the hospital. Having been treated by Dr. Basi on and off the last 18 months I trusted him. When the ambulance arrived and they brought the gurney in, they help me set up and I immediately vomited all over the floor. They were finally able to give me onto the gurney and into the ambulance and over to Dr.'s Hospital ER. They gave me a battery of tests consisting of more blood tests, MRI, chest x-rays and tests I didn't even know about. The bottom line is that my cardiologist from a prior procedure came in and said that I would be going into surgery that evening. I know from prior procedures that I had to sign a release stating that if they got into my heart and had to do open-heart surgery they would have to go into it immediately. After being prepped for surgery and given the anesthesia Dr. Wong came to me and told me that he had to put to new stents in and what I call Roto-Rooter doubt the original stand he put in in 2004. Dr. Wong told me that the main artery was 99% blocked and there was no way to tell how much longer I had. To anyone reading this I will tell you that you have to listen to your body and a good doctor and not be macho. I am doing well now thanks to my merciful God, Dr. Basi and Dr. Wong. There was a wonderful staff there to assist Dr. Wong in the surgery. I am writing this review to say that Dr. Basi SAVED MY LIFE because of his medical expertise and. He is a wonderful attentive and listening physician and will tell you the way it is. I cannot recommend Elite Urgent Care enough. But I would never go to another urgent care. I see on yelp there are couple of negative reviews. On those I will just say this: there are people in the world that if you hung them they would make a complaint because you did not use a new rope. The draw of this urgent care has always been that they have a physician on staff. So many of the others in town just have NP and practically no medical supplies on hand, which becomes a hassle when you check in, pay, wait, etc only to discover they can't help, will refund your $$ and send you to the ER. So whenever we have a non-emergency need we would come here to see the MD and get actual treatment.. plus the wait times have always been short. Also this place is super clean!! The extra $50+ seemed worth the benefits. Well, not anymore. Our last visit the wait times were terrible even though the place was mostly empty. Much shorter wait times at the other smaller urgent cares in town. Then, after all that, we were only seen by the NP who just wrote a script and had us leave. Really, we could've done an online visit with our own FP if all we wanted was someone to write a prescription. So if you want a NP to write a prescription, I'd suggest going to the more affordable urgent cares in town. I don't see why we paid all that extra $$ and didn't even see the dr. It's just not worth it..... They're still clean and they DO still have MD on staff so I'm giving stars, but it's not the service we got years ago when they first opened and were impressing everyone with the awesome service. First, their website says a "self-pay office visit" is $125. When I arrived, I was asked to pay $150. I told the receptionist that their advertised rate is $125 and she said, "no, it's $150." So I reluctantly paid. False advertising should have been my first red flag. The numerous other one-star reviews should also have been a clue not to waste my time here. After telling me the charge was $150, the expressionless and unfriendly receptionist said, our credit card machine is not working. But before I walked out she said, but let's give it a try. It worked, so I paid the $150.00. Next, after filling out the ID paperwork, I was asked to wait...and wait...and wait...and wait while the Food Channel played on their 65" high definition TV. A full forty (40) minutes after my scheduled appointment time I got up and asked the receptionist how much longer it would be until I saw the doctor. She said that you have 2 people in front of you. So I asked for a refund and walked out. Time is money and there is nothing more arrogant than a doctor, who is in a public service profession, charging $150 (more than is advertised) and then making you wait an hour or more, in a waiting room of un-masked potential COVID-19 patients, for the esteemed privilege of his 5 minute consultation when all you need is a dang prescription for Zithromycin, an antibiotic that is available over the counter in many countries, including Mexico. The only good thing about this experience is that my credit card payment was refunded right away. Good thing, because had it not been, everyone in the waiting room would have known exactly what I think about arrogant doctors who make scheduled patients wait an hour or more for the privilege of their consult. read more

I went in to get an infusion having Covid. Dr found out that I didn't have a vaccine and I was ridiculed and embarrassed and basically told I was subhuman for not getting this vaccine. As I was walking out, a nurse asked if I was leaving, I said yes..between the wait and watching numerous patients be seen before me I had to get back to work. I called my insurance to find out which urgent cares I could go to. Elite was the one I chose. I called & had 3 choices for an appointment later today The location was great for me, I had never been there before. The waiting room was lovely & welcoming. Reception & nursing assistant intake was all very nice & pleasant. Dr. Basi listened to me with kindness & attention. I found her to be knowledgeable & easy to talk to. I appreciate the treatment she gave me. I'm sure that I will be on the mend soon. read more
