Great place to go for care! I experienced unusual symptoms (for me) and chose a care facility near me. I was so pleased to find Modesto Urgent Care a clean, friendly, and professional place to go. The registration was easy, the nurse kind and good about asking me questions, the physician also knowledgeable and kind answered my questions professionally and was very informative. Dr. Natalie was able to get a lab test, have it analyzed, and give her diagnosis before I left. Horrible location i came in for my 10 year old son who has strep throat and they acted like I was a criminal immediately rude because I served our country and have the insurance that the va provided me, like I didn't make sure the place took my insurance before arriving . Would not recommend this place for the sickest person to someone treating a scab. They over price you even with insurance and almost everything else is an additional expense. On top of that they don't even care to actually look for any symptoms they rather do a lazy job and just do a few second glance and that's it. The worst part is after they take all your money is they won't even prescribe you actually good quality medicine to make life better or more comfortable but instead say just take over the counter medicine like all of us never tried that before actually coming to the doctor!!! That's the whole reason why we come to places like this one because over the counter medication isn't working!!!! Even if you ask nicely for a more concentrated medication to subdue the discomfort you'll still be denied. This facility is a paycheck to them and not about its patients. I was given an inhaler and some damn allergies pills for a severe bacterial infection only to be prescribed antibiotics a day later but still couldn't get some sort of numbing solution for my throat or Motrin or ibuprofen for the back aches I have been experiencing. read more

Modesto is lucky to have this facility!! This place is great for the unexpected medical concern. While out of town I had need to be seen for eye infection and sinus sore throat issues. I did not have a scheduled appointment. After walking in, the friendly front staff immediately addressed necessary paperwork which was completed. Wait time was minimal to see professional E.Torres. She was friendly, attentive, and examined each area of concern. She prescribed appropriate meds and even recommended closest and quickest CVS Pharmacy at Target stating wait was usually 30 minutes. Sure enough I had my meds within 1/2 hour. This was one of the shortest, smoothest timely medical visits I've experienced including those I've had scheduled. read more

Have been here 3 times now, for myself & for 2 of my kids. Very different reasons, and we received excellent care each time. (All on Sundays, when I couldn't get us in to the regular doctor's office) The longest wait we've had was about 40 minutes. One time in particular, I had brought my son in for a bad ear infection, and they asked if he had any other symptoms. At that time, he did not. Between the time they asked me that question, and the time they got to us, he had developed a fever and he felt nauseous. As they were taking his temperature, he threw up. I was overwhelmed & felt so bad, because I had told them no other symptoms. They were incredibly understanding though, and handled it very well. The entire office is super clean, from the waiting room to the patient rooms. I prefer this place to my kids' regular pediatrician's office, to be honest. I usually hate needles when they give me that, but when she gave me it I didn't feel anything and physicals assistant Natalie is knowledgeable.. It's that time of the year again.... I'm finding myself congested, chills, cough and all signs of infection. I've used this amazing place over the summer and found it's fast and super clean!!!!! I hate going into a doctors office and waiting along with other sick patients so this place allows you to wait in your car. They offer diagnoses over the phone or come in to be checked. They will determine that at the time they do telephone assessment. If you have the flu I'm sure they have seen it 10 times over and know what is going around and what works to help us heal. I go here for all my urgent care needs such as common colds, annual TB test for work, and occasional migraine relief. I also take my son here for rashes, colds, and other kid stuff. The office staff is always friendly and so are the doctors. The office is very nice and clean. There is rarely a wait and I've never waited more than 45 minutes. I've tried other urgent cares in Modesto and one was really dirty and the others ones had very long waits or the staff was rude. This urgent care is the best by far! read more

This is probably a biased review because I work in healthcare. The visit was so fast. I think the physician took longer to look in the mirror, at herself, when washing her hands, than to ask me "what's wrong". No sympathy. So cold. I didn't want to be there but it looked like she didn't either. And I was experiencing Covid symptoms, but the test is not included in my visit. It's additionally $60. I left work on July 13 at 2:30 with a slight abdominal ache. By 5:00 I was in the fetal position in bed shaking with pain. I sent my husband to buy a pregnancy test. Negative. I sent him to buy over the counter UTI medicine the next day but it didn't help. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, it was agonizing pain. I had a fever that I couldn't break. I tried to tough it out but felt as though as I was dying so my husband left work on Friday July 15 to take me to Modesto Urgent Care. I leaned on my husband holding my right side lower abdomen and took the smallest steps to walk in. I could not fill out my paperwork so my husband was permitted to stay with me to assist me with the paperwork and walking. I was seen in about 30 minutes. The 2 girls at the desk remarked "how are you in so much pain" as I slowly walked to the bathroom for my urine sample. I told the doctor all my symptoms: fever, unbearable pain in my lower right abdomen, no appetite, difficulty sleeping, I thought I looked yellow. They asked me my pain on a scale of 1-10 I said "12 I feel like I'm dying." They asked me if I had any frequency or burning when I urinated I said "no I have no UTI symptoms and the medication didn't work so I don't think it's a UTI." The doctor diagnosed me with a kidney infection and dehydration. I was given a shot of penicillin, a shot for the pain and a prescription for antibiotics. I made a follow up appointment in 2 days. I went home and immediately started having chest pains which I contributed to that I had over exerted myself since I had been only laying around for the past 3 days. My pain level slightly improved in the next few hours with help from the shot for the pain. I tried to just rest and take my antibiotics and drink pedialite but the chest pains and abdominal pain was so severe that at 4:00 am on Saturday (less than 24 hours after visiting this office) I woke my husband to tell him we had to go to the emergency room as my pain was unbearable and I felt like I was dying. By 7:00 am the doctor in the emergency room informed me that I would be immediately prepped for surgery as my appendix had burst and fecal matter and bacteria had been building up in my abdomen for 4 days at this point. I was also informed I had sepsis, and double severe kidney infections. CT scans revealed I had developed abscesses on my sigmoid colon due to the infection sitting in my abdomen. I was in the hospital for 10 days. When I got to go home I gave Modesto Urgent Care a phone call to let them know that they completely missed that my appendix had ruptured. I told the person on the phone about my symptoms that I had shared at my appointment that very obviously should have been attributed to a worse and different problem than a kidney infection (fever/ yellowing skin/ loss of appetite/ stating that "I feel like I'm dying"/ obvious and unbearable pain/ pain in my right lower abdomen/ no burning or frequency in urination) to which the person looked up my information said "we did check your urine and it did return with a high level of ketones indicating infection." Yes I was not debating that I did in fact have a kidney infection. I was letting you know that your Doctor failed to diagnose a deadly ruptured appendix and sepsis which lead me to wait even longer to seek the life saving surgery I needed to repair my body and stop the infection from spreading abscesses on my intestines. I paid in cash or I would have asked for a refund/ disputed my card so I could put the $310 that I spent on this visit toward my $80,000 emergency room bill. read more

Not really sure what happened with this place but it has gone way down hill. It used to be great- been taking my son here for about 5 years and he was typically seen by an amazing female PA. The staff here are now so rude it is unbelievable. The lady upfront (Lillian Briscese) is one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. She is snippy and absolutely shouldn't be working up front if she can't handle patients questions. She was telling everyone 30-40 minutes. After sitting for an hour and a half I asked her about how much longer and she absolutely jumped down my throat "I don't know how much longer do you not see how busy we are I have no control over how long these take". Ok then why are you telling people times. Everyone here is sick and in pain and there's zero empathy. Not to mention the lady up front was also talking badly about patients to another girl who worked behind the counter as well. So unprofessional and let's not forget also a HIPPA violation. Im just flabbergasted. Definitely will not be retuning or bringing my son back. read more

This place used to be an amazing, well run place to come instead of waiting for an appointment with your primary care provider. Now, the business opens at 8:30, employees don't arrive until 8:20-8:25 causing patients to wait in a cluster outside with no order of who arrived first and so on. Friday afternoon I had a bit of a scare. I felt a little short of breath and dizzy. I knew I was having an asthma attack and my rescue inhaler did not help. I called my doctor's office and was informed that they closed early. :( I got on the phone to my insurance company to find out where else I could go for treatment. I spoke to a very kind nurse named Missy who after listening to all of my symptoms said that I needed to be seen by a doctor within the next few hours. She connected me to a member services representative who informed me my insurance would be covered at Modesto Urgent Care. I gave them a call to say I was on my way. I headed over there ASAP and arrived about ten minutes before they opened at 5:00pm. The medical assistant let me in even though they were not officially open for the evening yet. Jessi the medical assistant could not have been any sweeter. She was so friendly and calm, which was definitely appreciated under the circumstances. Jessi informed me that the doctor was on his way in from Emmanuel Hospital in Turlock. She said that she had spoken to him and informed him about my situation. The doctor said to go ahead and administer a breathing treatment. Prior to the treatment my oxygen saturation level was 89 (optimal levels are 98-100). Post treatment my level improved to 98. I immediately felt better. I was able to breathe clearly and the dizziness went away. When the doctor arrived he listened to my lungs and said I now had very good air movement. He was very compassionate and had a very soothing manner. The next day, Jessi called me to find out how I was feeling. Much better thanks to the wonderful care I received at Modesto Urgent Care! While I hope not to have need to visit an urgent care center in the near future, if I do, I know I will be in good hands at Modesto Urgent Care. read more

I called ahead to ask about the wait and the receptionist was very evasive. "Crud" I thought (or a word a lot like crud). This is gonna be bad on a Friday night. I made the trek there wishing I'd brought a book. Imagine my suprise when I drove into a parking lot with 3 cars. There was one person ahead of my and I was in and out in less than 35 minutes! Why didn't I know about this sooner? I've been using a different urgent care. We definitely will utilize this location. I brought my 3 littlest this morning and were back in the car in 20 mins with a pink eyprescription. She even opened all the doors for us because I had my hands full. Nobody wants to return to urgent care, but with 5 kids I expect I'll need to at some point. I'll be back. I should have come here last week when we had our hot glue gun incident (costume making) we wouldn't have wasted 3 hours at the other place for burn cream. Update- still amazing. Don't go here if you think they are open until 5. It is really 4. I finally talked my sick husband into being seen and we get there at 430. We were told they don't take any patients after 4. There was no one there. Parking empty, the waiting room empty. I was told come back tomorrow. I said no my husband will be at work. Of course after that he was mad and we went home and he was not seen. He has a sinus infection. It would of took 10 mins of looking and talking to him and getting a prescription. Second time I've came into this practice. They now have moved on McHenry (next to Wells Fargo/Marshall's) This new office is lovely, from the seating area to the rooms. It's much more upscale and welcoming compared to any other hospital or doctor office. I love that they accept my insurance. Although location has moved, staff is the same. They are all so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Who wants to spend hours at a doctor's office or hospital when they are sick? I love that I am able to come in, have a short wait time, be seen, get a prescription and go home to rest and recover. The Doctor or nurse always recommend me to call or come back in if I don't feel better, thankfully they've always diagnosed the correct symptoms. I've never had to come back to be seen for the same illness. Thank you doctor and staff. I will always return here! read more

It seems crazy to write a five star review for an urgent care clinic but here we are. After feeling terrible for multiple days and not being able to get an appointment with my PCP for over a month, I opted to go to Modesto Urgent Care. Nobody likes being sick, but the entire staff made it a positive experience. The office is well-designed and clean, the receptionist is friendly and answers insurance questions effortlessly, and the PA Natalie was thorough, kind, and efficient. She was able to recognize pneumonia and send me on my way with a prescription for steroids and antibiotics. I was in and out within fifteen minutes. Thank you Natalie and staff. read more

I received a follow up call from Dr Wu not long after I wrote the last review. Apparently he had been out of town working at a new location and left the modesto location in what he thought were fully capable hands. He received many many calls regarding the nurse that I wrote my review on. He was calling every patient she had "treated" and asking about their experience. He was very apologetic and offered me a refund for my visit. He mailed out the check the next day with a personal note attached. I felt that he really cared about providing good care & really appreciated the effort he made to make things right. I brought my father in law here for a really bad cough. He is very stubborn and doesn't like to go to the doctor. Dr Natalie and Lily took such good care of him. Dr Natalie suggested an antibiotic injection and a breathing treatment in the office. I am very please with this Urgent Care. I wish Dr Natalie did primary care.
