This place is horrible. I took my dad to this place a few times (we didn't know where to go). Without the appointments, we had to wait for a very long time and no one came out and ask if we needed any assistance. We had issues with check in and couldn't find anyone to help. And the technician who tried to do the lab work had very bad skills, my dad was in so much pain when the needles poked him. Rudeness of staff. No compassion for already frustrated clients. Phlebotomist Deena commanded a patient's family to sit (treated like a child not an adult). My appointment was at 11:40 on 9/26/2025. I was waiting outside for the sign-in text, but I never received it. Because of that, I had to go inside and check in on the screen, which took a few minutes. I was not more than 10 minutes late. However, the staff member spoke to me in a rude way, saying I was "about to miss" my appointment and needed to come on time. The lab was not busy, and her attitude made me feel very sad and uncomfortable. I hope that in the future, staff can be more polite and understanding. One of the best blood draws I've had, could hardly feel it. Nice person, nice conversation, and I was on the road again before 9:30. I do advise making an appointment. I came in at 8:30 am for a simple blood draw with my paperwork already printed and labs already ordered. They took 6 people before me, emptied the office, and then started taking walk ins as they were coming in while I was waiting. I was there for over an hour and a half before I just left without my name being called. I will never utilize this location again LOL. read more

12/19/2024. We check at 3 pm and no customer has been here for the last 15 minutes. There are three employees inside. A Hispanic guy came out and I asked him how long it was going to take it said could be 5 mins or could be 30 mins. I would like to know what takes them 30 minutes to take the person in to do a blood test. read more

Results take up to 6 business days yet I keep receiving an email results are ready. Lab Corp had my results within 3 days with my report ready to print. No longer will I utilize Quest Diagnostic for services. read more

My rating is based on two experiences, one year apart. Happily the better of the two experiences (5*) was just this month. The one a year ago was about a 3.5*. Both times I had an early morning appointment. For the pre-COVID visit, I had to wait in the waiting room nearly 15 minutes before being called in. The tech was friendly, and everything went smoothly. But I probably should have mentioned that the needle was hurting a bit whenever she changed tubes. I ended up with a pretty big bruise at the needle site, a bit painful, that didn't disappear for several weeks. This month's visit was quite different. Instead of half a dozen people in the waiting room, it was empty. (And the number of chairs had been reduced from about a dozen to just a few.) I waited and waited -- for about 45 seconds! The tech was masked, of course (as was everyone I saw), and very efficient. No bruising this time, and no pain at all. Fast and painless - that's what I like! read more

Where to begin!? Finally found the correct email to submit a complaint to no thanks to the staff: patientadvocacy@questdiagnostics.com THEY DO NOT TAKE YOUR HEALTH SERIOUSLY. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I hear there are other labs in the area that do a better job. Labcorp or something like that? There is no receptionist and even if you wait upfront for 10 minutes asking to speak to someone no one will assist you. It's not as clear when you are dropping off specimens as I was doing on Monday morning of 3/25/24 before work. I asked for help and DENA looked at me, rolled her eyes and walked away. Another staff member helped me with my question and checked me in and it took her .5 seconds and she apologized after I told her what DENA did. I think that staff member needs to leave and work somewhere where her co workers aren't ruining the reputation of where she works. On the morning of 3/25/24 I was given a number (209) 304-8952 where no one answers or gets back to you when I asked to speak to a manager but the short skinny Asian girl who works there and started giving me attitude because her colleagues are unprofessional and can't do their job right. I was concerned about how they were handling what I needed to drop off and am still concerned because they probably messed with it somehow knowing how unprofessional they are. I went in on Friday afternoon (3/22/24) for a walk in. It was not busy. The phlebotomist told me he was Fijian and asked about my race.. why do you need to know that? Does that help you do your job? Anyway I have always had a phobia of needles. I simply said I was scared. He seemed annoyed and said "I just took you in as a walk in and there are people waiting" which made me even more uncomfortable. He was rude about it. He didn't provide instructions on my take home labs whatsoever. I'm not even sure if my specimen will be usable because he didn't even say when it needed to be submitted by, or provide any deadline or instruction other than 1 which he wrote on the bag and was simple. He also forgot to give me a take home lab test and I found out after going in on Monday (3/25/24) to drop off the others... And now I'm finding out today that the last lab was not given to me properly but the Asian girl and I don't have a sticker to properly seal it so we'll see if that will be accepted too!!!!!! This place is a joke!!!! I had a serious health scare and did my part and the health institution did not and now I may never get the resolution I need when it comes to my health!!!! I love this lab. Dena makes my day everytime I go in. She is a breathe of fresh air. Always pleasant, has a smile and keeps you occupied with great conversation while she draws blood. You don't even feel it. They are on time, clean, fast and efficient. read more

Worst experience. Not recommended for pregnant women based on my personal experience. My wife is 7-month pregnant and was at quest diagnosis for a sugar test. She was on 18 hours fasting before the test and was feeling dizzy because of fasting. Quest collected 3-samples hourly for 3 hours and the total process took 4-hours which sums up to close to 21 hours of fasting, including fasting time. We were waiting for the results for a week and then quest informed us that the samples were labeled incorrectly and samples need to be recollected. We were informed to visit quest without any appointment/walk-in for the test 2nd time because they messed up the first test. My wife was on fasting again for 18 hours being pregnant (2nd time). When we reached the quest diagnosis center the representative didn't know anything about the retest and wanted us to come again tomorrow because she was not on the list, this was the most frustrating part. I argued with the representative that they messed up once and wanted us to visit again tomorrow after fasting the 2ndtime. Afterward, arguing for some time, they agreed to test but wanted to wait for 1-2 hours at the Quest Center, on top of the 18 hours fasting. My wife will be at close to 22 hours fasting with only a drink during the process of the test. Final Comment: I agree that sometimes there can be human errors but they weren't ready when we were at quest the 2nd time, and the representative at the front desk was very rude. When we told quest messed up the result rep. the reply was "It was not quest that messed up it's the lab", the worst part was lab is part of the quest. read more

Doctor ordered labs for me at Quest on Iron Point. I checked in and 25 minutes later a very rude employee named Lucy asked if I had an appointment. I said the doctor sent my paperwork here. She said she could not help me as they were going out to lunch at 1130. Mind you I have been here since 1045 and have been waiting 25 minutes. I asked this very rude person, Lucy why she couldn't tell me when I 1st walked in and she said she didn't know I was here. She only saw me in the lobby thr 5 times she came out there and saw that I had checked in 25 minutes early. I normally have great interactions with the staff there and this was the 1st time I ever saw here there. Lucy is in the wrong type of work and Lucy needs to find another type of work away from dealing with actual people. read more

This location is the best I've ever been to. Before I recently moved to Folsom, I would drive 30 minutes to this location. No wait, phlebotomists are super friendly and professional. Had a very good experience today as well with super friendly, funny technician, that will put you at ease even if you're nervous about needles (I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name, the lady with lots of small tattoos and a small stud piercing on her face.) Lots of signage on the door, no signage on door about no walk-ins. Inside, lots of signage, one suggested walk-ins, one sign said no walk-ins. The Quest app noted few minute wait for walk-ins. Male employee walked passed me three times. Saw me standing at the counter, unattended, no hello, we will be right with you, no eyesight greeting/nod, zilch. I stood at the desk maybe 5-7 minutes (one person in lobby...one), and I heard a few people having idle chat and laughs in back, so I continued to wait. Two staff persons including the male who walked by three times while I was standing waiting for help, and still didn't say anything. The only person finally decided to look up and say, "Can I help you?" I asked could I be serviced, my doctors office (staff) in the same parking lot said they recently walked in and received service. I was told no walk-ins despite the contrasting info on the wall and the Quest app. Whether I could be serviced or not, not greeting even by way of acknowledging, hey we recognize you are here and will be with you... but rather ignoring a customer who clearly hasn't been helped yet, time to shuck and jive (with one customer in the waiting room), and the final cavalier reception I received, this location is a gross departure of the service I've received at all other locations I've used. read more

Fist of all, my previous experience with this location does not fall in line with today's experience. At 7:20AM, there were already SIX people in line. That's 10 minutes before they open. When they finally opened their doors a woman came out and said they would only take THREE people! There was NO notice posted stating this. Turning away over HALF of those who had been waiting in line! I think they should have at least taken those that had been standing in line already THEN posted a notice stating there would be no more walk in's. I was there with my CHILD. It was a fasting blood test. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make an appointment by phone. Furthermore, the online avenue doesn't show ANY morning appointments before school. So, walk in is our only option. Considering, I have to feed my child before sending him off to school. Rude, un-empathetic and completely disrespectful of other's time. I work in healthcare. Some days are busy and hard and you run right out of the gate. This was an example of employees not wanting to begin their day "busy". I would DEFINITELY like to know Quest's policy on this matter. The last few experience's with Quest, at other locations as well, hasn't been any better. So, in today's job market, customer service is DEFINITELY NOT a requirement. read more

Unbelievable that there is no way to contact a human being using this facility's menu tree. There are seven choices, NOT ONE OF WHICH is helpful or leads to a representative nor to a voice mail system. The only reason I am trying to contact a rep is that there is no fax number listed on the web site or anywhere else that I can find. My physician simply wants to fax a request to the facility but even they cannot find a fax number. How in the word will this make things work out during the visit I was able to schedule in advance (at least THAT function worked). Certainly I am not the only one experiencing problems from this poorly constructed system. read more

I love the Folsom facility on Prairie City Road. I always make an appointment and this facility is well staffed and clean. They get you back to a room at your appointment time. The staff is friendly, and let you know what is happening every step of the way. They verify your information several times to make certain they have the correct person that matches the paperwork or computer test orders. I have veins that wiggle and move but this staff always get the vein the first time. They talk you through the process if you need that. The facility is very clean. The check-in process is easy. Once I walked in without an appointment because I was in the area, I didn't wait more than 8 minutes. This particular Quest is very professional and respectful of your time as a patient. Someone greets you when they hear the door ding and they usually help people who are not familiar with the check-in kiosk. read more

This place is a joke. I came for my flucose testing when pregnant. They had me sit in a dirty chair I'm sure many other people sat in without cleaning. I wanted the house and guess what my timer went off and no one came. The girl originally helping me walked by and went on lunch. I man came in to draw the other girls blood who had been in there a lot less than I had and I said excuse me I was supposed to have my blood drawn over 25 minutes ago. He goes oh I heard the timer but thought someone else would get it. Nope she went on lunch!! He took my blood first and told me that it maybe inaccurate and I could have to redo it because these ubprofessionals didn't bother to check. I was livid. I hadn't eaten I was starving had to go to the bathroom abd sitting in a chair with nothing to do. He barely apologized and seemed to not give a crap. Now I'm stuck here again due to a mishap and just got treated like crap because I don't have an appointment and they are sooooo busy with the other 2, yes I said 2 people here. It's just pathetic I will never come back to this location and be disrespected the way I have been both times. It'd also frustrating you can't talk to anyone. You have to use the stupid computer console thing and I had questions to ask but wasn't able to. read more

Both the website and when you call say they accept walk ins there was one person ahead of me I waited for 15 minutes for them to tell me they couldn't take me . I heard them goofing around and helping no patients in the back office all for them to come out and say they couldn't help me and that they only take urgent blood work orders mine is not routine I'm at a high risk pregnancy and need these done . I've tried to schedule and there have been no appointments available . They were clearly running down the time until their lunch break making ppl wait who they won't service. Rude and disrespectful . Don't come here ! I always make appointments at another quest and tried this one because the provider sent me directly to them saying they would take me as a walk in. Also no way to call and talk to someone unless you call their provider line there should be a way for patients to reach the front desk so they can just be unhelpful over the phone Instead of missing work etc to have your blood not drawn here !!!!! read more
