Last week, I came here for blood testing. It was my first ever visit to this Quest Diagnostics location. The building is tucked off the main road in a business park area.Overall it was a much better visit than I anticipated. I hate drawing blood since I have thin veins and it has never been an easy pain free experience for me. But this time it was. Sigh of relief. The technician was fantastic. She definitely knew what she was doing. She was no nonsense, straightforward, and efficient. Not mean or disinterested. But also not exuding rainbow and unicorn vibes. She thoroughly and quickly found my veins, and got down to business extracting. I barely noticed the shot, little pinching sensation thats all. No issues of soreness, not even the next day. There was only two technicians working with one being a trainee that was observing. The low staffing is neither of their faults. It seems that it is Quest's business model of streamlining staffing. For instance, right when you walk in, there is no human staff to assist in check in. The checkin is by self serve kiosk. And that touch screen was not cooperating with me. It did not easily recognize my touch. And if you take too long responding or it does not recognize your touch, it will time you out. You guessed it, it will start the process all over. Ugh. I was seen quickly since I had an appointment which I set weeks ahead of time. The appointment was easy to make online but please make sure you are correctly checking the correct test(s) needed. read more

Caber Campbell a staff at EL Dorado Hills location was extremely rude on Wednesday morning the 28th of May 2025. Immediately when I walked in and added my name to the waiting list that was empty he told me that I'd be waiting at least an hour and that he wasn't sure if he could fit me in at all. When the next person put their name on the waiting list at no point did he say any such thing to them nor did he say anything about not being seen. When it had been an hour he just took my name off the list saying nothing to me and keeping the other person on the waiting list. When I asked for an explanation he rudely announced to everyone in the waiting room personal details about my blood order and due to the ( details he shared ) that he just couldn't do it in 10 minutes. I said "ok so you're just not going to do my blood draw?" He was trying his hardest to turn me away. I cannot believe he announced personal medical information about my blood draw in front of people. That is not ok, people do not need to know details of my blood draw. None of his behavior was professional whatsoever. He definitely needs some professional training on how to properly interact with people. Some confidentiality training might help too. I hope management addresses his behavior. The only thing that I will say in his defense is he was the only one there. That being said he was clearly irritated about this and it showed in his interactions with people, especially me. His situation does not excuse his behavior. Not once was I ever rude to him. I was polite, patient, and kind the entire time. Even when he wanted to argue with me when I asked for his name and addressed him about his behavior. I told him he has no time to argue and I have no interest in arguing with him. read more

Highly automated office with no real management. Just a couple of phlebotomists drawing blood. The "front desk" is an iPad built into a stand that didn't work very well at all and the older customers were taking 5-10 minutes each just to check in. One of them got frustrated and just left. As far as my experience goes- my wife made the appointment and it required me to fast. No breakfast, no coffee and an 11 am appointment. I showed up 20 minutes early and was finally called 20 minutes late. When the phlebotomist went to look up my test she said nothing was ordered and that my wife probably didn't hit the final "submit" button. Couldn't argue with that, I suppose it was possible. I then told her that since I was paying out of pocket just do the broad spectrum test that costs about 100 bucks like the one my wife tried to order. She said that there was nobody at the office that could handle that sort of thing but I could get online and set up an appointment for another day. Really? Just wasted all that time, not to mention fasting for 15 hours with no coffee in the morning. I would highly discourage anyone from using this place unless you have a serious problem and there are no other options. read more

I recommend all of the technicians be certified to use butterfly needles for small veins. After being poked once, I found out my tech was not certified, so I was told I had to waitlist for the experienced tech. I had an appointment, but I was told you'll need to wait because we need to stay on schedule. It made the appointment even more stressful for me. I did have a proficient & easy blood draw experience once I got in to the experienced tech. In the end, I was appreciative it all worked out. More staffing would be a nice improvement for patients and staff. read more

online and on their website, they say they're open at 7:30. I arrive there for a 740 appointment. They're closed sign on the door says 8 o'clock. There's no one answering the phone standing out in the fog and the cold fasted not happy!! If they don't open at 7:30 AM, then they need to change their online hours very unhappy. So unprofessional! I want to start off by saying the technician that helped me was WONDERFUL. I am not basing my review off her, I am basing it off of the other male that worked there. I was sitting there waiting to get my blood drawn when a younger man called a woman to the back who had her two young kids with her. She told the man who was going to be drawing her sons blood that he has autism and this was his first time ever having blood drawn so he was a little nervous and scared (which is totally understandable as he was 4 years old). She set the four year old in the chair and the technician told the mother that the boy was too small and she needed to hold him. Again she reiterated that he has autism and so he may get over stimulated. The technician proceeded to attempt to draw the boys blood and as he brought the needle out the boy started crying (He's a four year old child he's going to be scared). The technician then told her that the boy flinched and so he could no longer do the blood draw. The little boy said to his mother "I'm sorry mama I'll try again", she asked her son if he was sure, and he said yes. The technician still refused to do the blood draw and said it was policy. So the woman grabbed her kids and asked the technician what to do next because Quest is the only place she could go with her insurance. The technician told her "Either you need to have someone watch your other kid (who wasn't even an issue) or get a better control of this one (pointing to the boy with autism). The mother said to the technician "Well how do you draw kids blood? He's a child he's going to be scared and you said if he flinched we can't do it anymore." The technician said "Again I don't know what you're not understanding but you either need to have someone watch your other child or get better control of this one". The mother looked so upset and appalled. She said "I just wanna know what the next steps are because how can you draw his blood for the dr if he gets scared and flinches, this is the only place we can come." I didn't hear what the technician said after that but the mother walked out. And then I heard the technician speaking with such foul language after the patient left. He went to the front and brought the next patient back and proceeded to tell him how horrible she was and how she couldn't understand. I feel like this is a violation because he shouldn't be talking to one patient about another patient who just left the office. After this patient he brought back another patient who had a little girl who was screaming, crying and kicking the entire time and was able to service that woman and her child so I do not understand why he couldn't help the woman who had the two kids. The little four year old was even trying to be brave and said he would try again and was upset when the technician wouldn't let him try again. My heart was broken for this mother and the way her and her children were treated. It's hard enough being a single mom as it is, but it's even harder when you have a child with special needs. This was so unprofessional and even though he didn't draw my blood, I will never go back to this location because I now worry about what happens between me and my technician being talked about with other patients or not being accommodated with a disability. This should be a place where children with learning disabilities are accommodated and treated with some compassion. read more

This was the last time I will attempt this location for a blood draw. Today, Friday at noon, I met the destroyer of good will and prosperity. A sad soul, looking for misery. The young punk of a phlebotomist was so rude and disconnected from public interaction norms that I was speechless each time he barked a command. I showed up for a walk-in appointment only to find the front door unlocked, and the reception empty. The checkin kiosk was prominently centered and I electronically checked in for a walkin. The front door swung open and a lab coated weasel announced I couldn't be in there. I looked up and stared in disbelief. He then announced, "the door should have been locked." Then, "Do you have an appointment?" I replied no. He then gleefully decried, "We don't have any more walk-in times available!" He seemed way too happy about this fact just after 12 noon. As I walked past him, he scowled and loudly swung the door closed to prove his point. A woman seated in the outer lobby looked embarrassed to witness his behavior towards me. I'm never sensitive or get my feelings in a bunch but this guy sucks! Once home and relaying my experience, I was informed by my wife and two of her girlfriends that they had similar experiences and one wouldn't let the troll draw their blood because they were so rude. Do not go the Quest Diagnostics on Golden Foothill! They should be closing soon because they piss so many people off. read more

I wish I could put 0 stars. Awful service. I've been in there twice needing to schedule a pee pregnancy test and the doctor Cader has just been so rude and not friendly. I was denied again today because I am a minor so according to him I need a "Gaurdians note" that is what he told me. I went in today with a note, hoping to get my test done and he said "We can't take you I need a doctors note" I will definitely not be coming back to this location because there service is not good. There has only ever been the same man (Cader) working there that i've seen and he is not helpful at all. Also, last time I came, there door was locked! I checked there hours to make sure and I was there at 2:45 when they are open from 1-4 after lunch. I knocked multiple times and tried the door handle but nobody answered. I sat down and after 10 minutes and then Cader finally answered the door. Not sure what he was doing since he happened to have no customers in the building at all so it's not like he was working on a patient. I'd recommend any other quest location than this one. read more

With appointment, wait of 30 minutes, man who took my blood made the draw EXTREMELY painful( I yelled out in pain) . Never had that happen. No apology then he indicated he was new, only been doing it for 1 months. Avoid this place at all cost. I will go to another location. I have easy veins close to the surface, never had any issue before. He definitely needs to go back for additional training. read more

The phlebotomist was not happy that me and one other person had arrived without an appointment as we signed in as standby per the walk-in service and had been waiting for 30 mins (no signage up or anything noted to say walk in service shouldn't be used). Phlebotomist said it was a one man show and if we don't have an appointment we won't be seen, he is seeing someone 2 ahead of us in his lunch break out of kindness due to waiting for 2 hours. Unsure why this is advertised as a walk-in service, I tried to book appointments and none were available for 10 days... I really wouldn't recommend and am unsure why this service exists here as it's so under resourced. Felt sorry for the phlebotomist as he was pretty rude due to being stressed, he obviously had other stuff to do and seeing patients wasn't the priority. read more

Let me just start by saying this is by far the worst experience I've ever had in a medical appointment. I am 27 weeks pregnant and I scheduled an online appointment for 11:20am today for my glucose tolerance test and other tests that needed to be done. I've been fasting for 12 hours. I get checked in for my appointment and I get called 10 minutes after the scheduled time, no big deal. The girl that helped me started by saying "oh, let me ask my manager about this test because I might need you to reschedule to 1pm" and she leaves the room and I was a little confused. She comes back and confirms "yep, I have to have you come back at 1pm because this is an hour test and I have lunch at 12:30" and I was like I'm sorry, can someone else do it? I've been fasting for more than 12 hours at this point and 1pm is not going to work. She got extremely upset and she seemed mad at me said "Well who did you talk to because I am not missing my lunch for you" and at that point I was like shocked at the way she was speaking to me on top of all of this not being my problem, no offense. I continued to ask maybe there's someone else who can help me.. to which she answered "we will all be on lunch at 12:30pm". Lol I am sorry but like why would you ever let customers schedule appointments if you're not going to have staff available? Also, there's way of communicating things and this girl (I really hope I had her name) she was sooooo rude and disrespectful. Like we get that your lunch is important but so is your customer and the way you treat them. At this point I grab my stuff and leave. Taking my business elsewhere and never coming back to this location! What a waste of life. read more

This was my 2nd time at this location for lab work. I did not have an appointment (usually went when it opened) and I was the 3rd in line at 8am. The facility was clean and the technician "Mani" was very professional and pain free. I was in and out in 30 mins. Keep it up!! read more

I have had to have two labs to do in two consecutive days. In both instances Amy was the person drawing my blood samples. She is extraordinary in al respects. She has very good customer service and is one of the best technicians I've ever had. In both instances it was basically painless. Both of my appointments were walk-ins. She got me in in a very reasonable amount of time as well. It looks like this lab has a "Dream Team" with Amy and Mani doing such professional work! read more

I wanted to give very positive feedback for Mani, the phlebotomist who has been working at Quest's Golden Foothill location. I've gotten labs done a few times in the last two years and his familiar face always leads me to have a predictably pleasant visit. He is super friendly and efficient, despite having to do the blood work and act as the receptionist and biller. He is extremely proficient as a phlebotomist- there's very little to no pain. He's the best! I hope he 'sticks' around. Just a tip- make an appointment if you can. The office is currently understaffed so you might have to wait a little longer than usual. read more

My doctor requested that I get lab tests done asap and since there were no appointments available for 2 or 3 days I had to 'walk in'. I have been to this office several times and do understand that someone with an appt goes first. However, after waiting for an hour and a half and with my name being first on the board for 10-15 minutes all names indicated as walk-in were deleted and only people with appointments were left. When the female phlebotomist came out to call the next patient, I questioned why my name had been removed. She said the walk-in names were affecting their stats so they removed them and were keeping a separate written list and they may or may not get to them. My issue was they did not call me up and let me know they wouldn't try to fit me in. Before this happened there wasn't anyone called back for about 10-15 minutes prior. She also told me some people didn't mind waiting 3-4 hours to get in. ???? They seemed to be sliding using the appt only as an excuse. Of course I left. Too bad Quest doesn't have more competition. read more

Another thumbs up for Mani and this location! Mani was able to help old and young and a bunch in between. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone needing blood work. The office located inside a Mercy building was clean and professional. No TVs or magazines so bring something to do if it is busy. Often the front is not attended as the phlebotomists are in the back so sign in, fill out an info sheet and have a seat. They work fast so appointment or not you get through it in a reasonable time. I was still out in a hour even though it was crowded and had no appointment. read more

Getting lab work done is never an enjoyable experience but my blood work today was quick and pleasant! I went in without an appointment right as they opened on a Friday morning and waited for 5 minutes as there was one person getting drawn before me. Mani put me at ease and did the work efficiently. I'll definitely go back to this quest diagnostic for all future lab work! read more

If you need results in a hurry, don't go here. My husband went in on Wednesday and left a sample for testing. 3 days later and still waiting for the results so he can start treatment. According to the doctor, they can't even tell him when they might have results. read more

Went in without an appointment at 8:15am, 4 people with appointments ahead of me. Office was clean and the lab tech, Muni was also the greeter and did the paperwork. This took sometime, he was friendly and professional. Mostly, his excellent manner and expertise in my lab draw of 9 tubes was painless. Didn't feel the needle go in and there was not even a bruise. If I had a child I would definitely go to This facility and request Muni-he was the only tech on duty today. read more

The staff at this facility were completely incompetent. Multiple patients besides myself were waiting at least an hour and a half for blood draws. I was deleted from the appointment rotation due to an error causing patients in line behind me to be called first while they had no idea i had been waiting for a draw. The service was very slow and patient paperwork was misplaced, not to mention a rude response when I confronted them about the issue. If you have a critical need for lab testing to be done I do not recommend this facility! read more

WOW triple WOW! I live in Camino, but read so many positive reviews about the magnificent MANI, that I just had to see this miracle man for myself. What a dream! Who likes to have blood drawn, & my doctor had requested 6 vials. I wasn't looking forward to this at all. Mani is a wonderful person. He talks & puts you at ease. He told us that he'd been doing this for 30+ years. Ok here goes, I didn't feel the needle go in, couldn't feel when he changed the vials & best of all there was NO bruises afterwards!!! Everyone needs to experience this dream come true! He's definitely an angel. Deserves way more than 5 stars for sure. Glad I got to meet him!!! read more

I've been coming here for a number of years, 5-6 times a year, and I have always had a good experience with Mani. They are typically busy, but he always keeps his composure and is very professional. You can schedule appointments every 1/2 hour, which leaves some room, usually, for walk-ins. Note to Quest: You want to keep an excellent employee as Mani for as long as possible, so keep his salary up. read more
