I questioned if they have a schedule, and at the Folsom Location they don't. They said they "share technicians". So I called the 4 other locations. Per the Elk Grove Location and Sacramento locations, they are competent and have a schedule and were able to confirm their technician would be in at 10 am. However, they weren't able to view the schedule for another site. I was told they have 3 technicians between the 5 sites. Not having a schedule so the staff know if the x-ray technician is coming into the site is a level of unprofessionalism that's hard to put into words. The rude front desk admin made it even harder to deal with. Extremely dismissive about the situation. "They will be here around 10/10:30, and that's if they come in" is what she told me. When I asked for the numbers for the other locations so I could see where the technician was scheduled, she wrote down the names and told me I could Google the numbers. The first 2 places I called were able to tell me that they have a schedule and could tell me they had a technician scheduled (Elk Grove and Sacramento). Apparently, only the Folsom location is too incompetent to have a basic schedule in place. If you have a child I recommend "Rainbow Kids" in Folsom. They have X-ray on site. And for adults you can go to "Carbon Health" in Folsom. Forget this place!! Terrible service.

I want to start by saying I am immunocompromised. Chemotherapy, biologics, autoimmune disease. I…read morehave a lot going on. My husband was diagnosed with confirmed bacterial pneumonia. The second I started showing symptoms, I went to urgent care so I could get antibiotics before it got worse. They refused to give me antibiotics because they "can't justify it". I left and got significantly worse that evening. Fever to 104 and Tylenol/ibuprofen barely brought it down to 101. Im an RN so I don't just seek antibiotics for nothing. I am aware of what does and doesn't require antibiotics. The next morning, my husband took me back to urgent care stating I needed antibiotics, as he got very sick (he is healthy) with bacterial pneumonia and I am exhibiting the exact symptoms and he has never seen me this sick. Again, "I can't justify it"... I had 5 days of fevers ranging from 102-104 without it breaking. I finally called my PCP on day 5 because I knew I wouldn't get help here. He was very upset that urgent care knew I was severely immunocompromised and knew my husband had confirmed bacterial pneumonia (yes, we showed the results) and refused to treat me. Long story short, I DID have bacterial pneumonia and did not show any progress until after I started antibiotics. I was very close to requiring an ER visit but I am stubborn. As a nurse, I was appalled at the lack of knowledge with the providers treating immunocompromised patients.

Two minutes later, the only other person in the lobby gets called back, so I'm the only one left, in the lobby so I'm thinking that I'm next. Wrong. Just then, the lobby fills up with ppl: a dad and his son, a gal and her daughter, and a newborn baby with her mom, so after about 15 minutes, I went outside and had a smoke, and when I went back inside, it had been about 25 -30 minutes total since I arrived, so I asked the gal at the desk how much longer bc I'm gonna urinate all over myself, and she frowned and said that she's so sorry but it's gonna be at least another 30 minutes, bc the pee collector just went on lunch. I politely asked for my license back, and said I'd just come back tomorrow. One of the other ladies working there was within earshot, and told me that if I give her 5 minutes, she would be able to take care of me, but that she had to finish up with a patient. I couldn't believe my good fortune! Not only would I not soil myself, but I'd also get my drug test done. So thankful! Anyway, the gal that helped me was named Ingrid, and I couldn't have been happier with her. She explained everything clearly / concisely, and never once made me feel like I was under suspicion from the gate. Ingrid's customer service was what earned American River Urgent Care's 5 stars. To Ingrid's supervisor / manager: this lady is indispensable. Promote her.

The bed side manners of the staff and doctors is top notch, they really truly care about the wellbeing of the patients. I love that it's catered to kids so it makes it so much easier to take them into the doctors and make them feel comfortable. We've come in for colds and flus and also for a possible wrist break. No imaging... it was like a 5 minute office visit literally in and out. They're in-network and charged my insurance over $600 for it, yikes. We paid our copay in office. Then we got a bill for $200 in the mail? With absolutely zero explanation of what the charge was for. How much are they trying to make off this? We usually use MDSTAT in EDH and they've never sent us an extra bill. Anyway, I figured it was a mistake and waited for them to clear it up with insurance. They sent it straight to collections like 2 months later. When I tried to call their billing office, no answer, I left a voice mail and they never got back to me. I just paid it to get it over with but 100% will never go back here. I've never had a medical or dental office send a bill to collections, ever, let alone so fast without trying to clear it up with me first. And truly can't believe they charged that much for such a simple procedure. I still don't know what the $200 charge was for considering they're in network and we paid our copay. Oh well, we'll stick with MDSTAT.

Groupon Botox tends to be a scam anyways, they cant possibly afford to give us 50% off, plus pay Groupon, plus pay the company that supplies the Botox. How do they cut corners?
