The building is tucked off the main road in a business park area.Overall it was a much better visit than I anticipated. I hate drawing blood since I have thin veins and it has never been an easy pain free experience for me. But this time it was. Sigh of relief. The technician was fantastic. She definitely knew what she was doing. She was no nonsense, straightforward, and efficient. Not mean or disinterested. But also not exuding rainbow and unicorn vibes. She thoroughly and quickly found my veins, and got down to business extracting. I barely noticed the shot, little pinching sensation thats all. No issues of soreness, not even the next day. There was only two technicians working with one being a trainee that was observing. The low staffing is neither of their faults. It seems that it is Quest's business model of streamlining staffing. For instance, right when you walk in, there is no human staff to assist in check in. The checkin is by self serve kiosk. And that touch screen was not cooperating with me. It did not easily recognize my touch. And if you take too long responding or it does not recognize your touch, it will time you out. You guessed it, it will start the process all over. Ugh. I was seen quickly since I had an appointment which I set weeks ahead of time. The appointment was easy to make online but please make sure you are correctly checking the correct test(s) needed.

I don't typically leave reviews for labs lol but this was necessary. Typically if nothing bad…read morehappens it's good enough. This time I was blown away by all the good. I saw a waiting room with a number of folks and immediately regretted not having my headphones. Yet within a few minutes of checking in they called me. I was surprised by how fast it was. Do note I did make an appointment but typically would still need to wait esp if the waiting area has some folks. Hayleigh was the best nurse ever. I had many vials and she was able to swap them without ever moving the needle. We all know that click in click out is uncomfortable af. I also had minimal bleeding after she removed the needle (I tend to bleed after always). She's the best! I wish all nurses were like her!

You need a appt, I told them that I had a note and it said, please call drs office if they have any questions. They insisted no they would not call , I could call myself, I was in disbelief that they would disregard a Dr's note . I got a hold of my Dr's office his nurse gave them a verbal that I needed to be drawn right away . I was told to drive to Placerville during my reaction if I needed to get my blood drawn . They claimed they got their supervisor on the phone to tell me this. ( I later found that the supervisor was on Vacation ) I told her I was dizzy, lightheaded and couldn't drive. I told her my MD wrote a note plus she talked to his nurse to verify. They said we have a lot people with appts , that I could go to hospital . I told them with all my documentation plus a verbal they needed to draw my bld. I asked them for there fax number so the MD could fax over another documentation saying it was stat. The employee told me she did not know the fax number. She refused to get me any numbers . I was not able to identify her because she took her name badge and turned it backwards so her face and name was not able to be obtained. She said wait in waiting room we will draw you when we can. I did follow up with a filed complaint with the district manager who was extremely helpful as well as apologetic . They will be looking into the matter which is very reassuring as the lab documents were very clear . Please voice your opinion to the District manager not the supervisor it falls on deaf ears . I hope this location goes back to how it was ran several years ago .

It seems like, as long as the appointment isn't cancelled with little or no notice, this is a good lab to go to.

No one likes getting blood work done, but we chatted about tasty sourdough sandwiches and cookies nearby and it was the perfect distraction to help me relax. She was kind, professional, and had wonderful customer service! When I arrived Eric (the owner) greeted me and brought me in to shade match my other teeth. He was showing me what he had planned on doing to make sure it was going to be perfect. Well today I got the crown cemented and it matches perfectly! Dr. Steven Mills used to be my family's primary care doctor at Marshall Medical as an adolescent, and was the first person to bring to light some physical and mental health conditions that began to arise. Rather than paying to see a doctor for five minutes that is thinking about all their other patients to get to, you can now sit down with Dr. Mills for an HOUR to get all of the help and tools and prescribed medicine you need from not only an MD, but an expert in how our bodies work and how to care for them properly; for not just one but ALL of our conditions. Dr. Mills is knowledgeable in mental health as well. He had access to the DUTCH, thorough/extensive hormone test, but didn' tell me about it until 10 months in. He was also poor at documenting. I had the opportunity to get reimbursed for his services but the vague notes without ICD codes or diagnosis were not acceptable. I requested an invoice with 7 requirement my insurance needed. He gave it to me but again it was missing service codes & diagnosis. When I asked for the additional info he refused to give it to me. Oh yeah, he once asked me what I was taking even though he prescribed it to me. I dropped Dr. Mills after seeing him for 14 months. Made minimal progress!

I have been taking it for years and all of a sudden it's a problem to get a refill on a basic drug that I use every day for a medical condition. Never had an issue refilling this medication with any other provider. Been with Marshall for less than a year and have switched MD's twice. Well, when I got my bill where I would normally have maybe $15 more to pay, my responsibility was just under $600! Not even close! How do they think people would rather pay a 500% premium just to get the work done there? I will not be returning to Marshall Medical for anything anymore. I will also be warning anyone in the area not to go there. I even called multiple times trying to give them a chance to correct this. They do not budge and only care about their money. I have to leave and come back with a paper copy just to get an x ray. While I was in line, they told 4 other people they didn't have an order for them too. If they're telling 5 people this in a matter of 5 minutes, I can't imagine how many people hear this in a day. It's 2026, we don't have a better system than faxing, Sutter?? Create a portal where doctors can submit the orders. Clearly the fax system isn't working. Figure it out and do better.
