After trying to go to the Mowry location yesterday and being met with senseless service, long waits, and rude staff- it was the opposite from my impression here. Practically empty waiting room around 3pm on a weekday with a much smaller waiting room as well. Whole process was quick and easy. I had an appt that I made the night before. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was friendly and did great! Most painless experience yet. Barely felt the poke and he kept his hand super steady with each collection tube change. First time here but this will be my new go-to location moving forward.

Marcelina is Amazing!! I have very deep veins; therefore it is always difficult to withdraw blood in my arm. I had mastectomy in my breath. I can only withdraw blood on my left arm. Most nurses or technicians had to put the needle and dived in to search my vein. Usually they would have to poke me SEVERAL times before they find my vein. It was not only horribly painful; the worst were all the BLAMING from the nurses or he technicians. I have just had a bloodwork this morning in this location. It was amazingly quick like magic. Because it was super quick, there was no time to feel the pain!! I did not have appointment. I just walked in and had my service done very soon!! I will definitely comeback in the future.

The wait was horrible but every quest place is. Fremont, Hayward, etc I think they all have horrible wait times. It's a no win situation.

Wait is long for walk-in. Make an appointment. Staff in the back sounded like they were laughing and talking a lot more than working.

From viewing their website, there's 2-labs, 10101 or 10103 building. No signs on the 10101 building indicating there's a lab. Supposedly this lab opens at 7am, but with no signage, I couldn't figure out where it is. The 10103 building is the main hospital. When I went to the main desk, the security guard was sound asleep (seriously, sound asleep). After waking him, he tells me to go to the lower level. I go to the lower level and see nothing that looks like a lab. I'm getting pissed because I purposely tried to get here before 7am. When I return to the desk, I just start asking random employees who are arriving to work. A nurse ends up helping me. She informs the security guard that I need to first register and than go to the 2nd floor lab. While I'm registering, I ask that person about the 10101 lab. She tells me that it's a separate entity. I'm convinced that this is the one I wanted because to go to the one I'm at now, I have to register as a patient, which is a hassle. The 10103 lab opens at 7:30 am.

Normally I'd never write a review for LabCorp, but years of dealing with their condescending…read moreemployees sent my temper boiling over this afternoon. In terms of speed of service, these guys have typically always been fine, in my experience. I've never made an appointment, have always been a walk-in, and am seen almost immediately. Very little wait time. No issue with cleanliness, either. The issue is, 100%, the disgruntled jerks they seem to exclusively hire. Whoever is behind the counter at any given time (usually an older white woman with glasses) is never, ever pleasant. Not even decent. Just these grumbling, unhappy people who foist their bad day -- which seems to be every day -- onto patients. And I get it -- just sitting in there this afternoon you had one guy who comes in, obliviously crashes right into the table next to the door, and doesn't move it back, and a patient who had to be told twice which room to go into. People don't listen and they have rotten attitudes. But unless they've demonstrated rudeness or stupidity, there's no reason to treat people poorly. So when I walked up this afternoon and saw a sign that read the following, I read it as, "this place is appointment-only except during a short period in the morning": "Effective 9/25 until further notice: Due to unforeseen event [typo on their part], San Leandro location will be appointment only with accepting walk-ins when time permits from 7:00-8:30 am." I'm an English major and a content marketer, meaning, I write for a living. Anyone with a basic grasp of English would likely read this as I stated above: appointment-only location except during this short window in the morning, if time permits. Well apparently their phlebotomist, the middle-aged Asian woman who always wears her hair in a ponytail, thinks their poor, typo-riddled writing is so sublime that confusion on my part was just me being either too lazy or stupid to read the whole sign. Because when I asked her if they're appointment-only, she snidely remarked that if I'd read the whole sign, I'd see that they're only appointment-only in the morning. Apparently, what they meant to write was that they're appointment-only from 7:00-8:30 am, with the ability to squeeze in walk-ins during that window only as time permits. Not hard to write unless you're more focused on making everyone around you as miserable as you. I was extremely close to reading the phlebotomist the riot act, but I don't need to get myself banned from a LabCorp so close to my house, which I need regularly. So I just made sure to give her back her attitude in spades the entire visit and wasn't nearly as nice to her as I usually am. She seemed to be picking up what I was putting down because she tried to be nicer in the end. Way too late to play that game with me.

Labcorp - No, what you think this sign means isn't actually what it means, per the snotty phlebotomist.

It was a a small waiting room and it was pretty confusing where to find this quest. I went with an appointment at 9:45am on a Thursday I could have been in and out but I waited to have my blood drawn laying down so I waited 10 mins for the bed since there's only one. ZERO STARS! As with…read moremost of the other reviews this place is poorly staffed and run. It's always backed up with patients and the workers don't seem to want to do their work. While I was waiting, one of the "techs" left to get food. It's bad enough they had about 10 people, with appointments wait for a least an hour to get seen, then to have a worker leave just to get food and a drink. I would think they had snacks or brought their own to eat in the office. I had an appointment and wasn't called until an hour later. And there was a new person who couldn't get my blood, he asked another "tech" to try and she tried twice and still couldn't get it and she blew out one of my veins (see photo) on one of the tries. There's now a big swollen bruise on my hand. I just hope it goes away in a few days. After 3 attempts she says they aren't allowed to try any more and says I could try to go to another Quest to have them try, but they're all booked and I don't want to be waiting 3-4 hours not to be able to get my blood drawn. For all I know they screwed up on purpose. So I had to find an other way to get my blood drawn since I needed it for an appointment the next day. I strongly suggest going to the other Quest in the general area, Hayward or Castro Valley. And management really needs to look into this particular office.

This is an incredible service for anyone who is sick, homebound, or simply unable to get what they need done at a lab. Charity was professional, very communicative, and incredibly gentle and kind during the draw. She made me feel at ease and took care of everything (she came to my house, drew my blood and even took my bloodwork to FedEx for dropoff) I plan on using her services in the future not only for myself, but also for my kids.
